Black Muslims - Arab Muslim Migrants Clash Over Oakland Liquor Stores OAKLAND, Calif. -- They weren't your ordinary thugs. Dressed in bow ties and dark suits, nearly a dozen men carrying metal pipes entered a corner store, shattered refrigerator cases and smashed bottles of liquor, wine and beer, terrifying the clerk but stealing nothing. The just wanted to leave a message: Stop selling alcohol to fellow Muslims. In urban America, friction between poor residents and immigrant store owners is nothing new. Nor are complaints that inner-city neighborhoods are glutted with markets that sell alcohol and contribute to violent crime, vagrancy and other social ills. One of the men arrested on charges that included hate crimes and vandalism was 19-year-old Yusuf Bey IV. His father, Yusuf Bey, a black Muslim leader who died in 2003, founded Your Black Muslim Bakery, which sells Malcolm X books along with baked goods. |

Merhani Teklemariam Bahabla - who is black and a native of Eritrea gets 112 years to life in prison for four rapes in Santa Rosa Speaking during an emotional hearing, two of the victims said Merhani Bahabla shattered their lives, while he said the jury convicted him because they "judged me by my color." In a wide-ranging statement, Bahabla, who is black and a native of Eritrea, said he wouldn't have committed the rapes because his mother had taught him to respect women. "I am not the first innocent person to go to the jail," he said, "so thank you, God bless you and Merry Christmas." He was convicted in November of 12 sex offenses, committed between October 2003 and January 2004, including forcible rape and forcible sodomy. He wielded a knife against three victims, authorities said. DNA Links Convicted Rapist Leroy to 1981 Rape Murder of 88-Year-Old Deaf and Blind Woman  Sacramento County Sheriff's detectives have arrested a convicted rapist in the 24-year-old rape and murder of an elderly Sacramento woman following newly-discovered DNA evidence. Leroy Veal, 55, was arrested in connection with the 1981 killing of 88-year-old Pauline Colombatto. He knocked on her door and asked for directions. When she gave them he
left but returned and asked to use the phone but when she tried to close
the door he forced his way inside and sexually assaulted her. She
started screaming and told him she was pregnant. The woman needed stitches.
He is dark skinned with a 1-inch ponytail and was frizzy on the

The Zebra Killings - A Forgotten Hate Crime  The Zebra Killings occurred in the San Francisco bay area between 1972 and 1974 and left 71 people dead. They were dubbed the Zebra Killings because of the radio channel used by the police investigating the case (channel Z). The name would take on a more sinister meaning as it became apparent that a group of blacks was systematically stalking and killing whites simply because of the color of their skin. - (Norcal) - (hatecrimes) THE ZEBRA KILLINGS In the early-to-mid 1970's hundreds of White men, women and children were murdered by black Muslims as an initiation to an organization called the "Death Angels." These were known as the "Zebra Killings" after the radio channel (Z) that the investigators working the case used. Once they became a Death Angel, black wings were affixed to their photograph and put on display along with the other members at highly secret meetings. In order to "earn their wings", prospects were required to kill either 9 White men, 5 White women or 4 White children. The purported reason for the difference in number of victims needed to become a member was that it was believed to require more fanaticism to murder women and kids. The real reason was that it was much easier to kill those who were weaker and less likely to fight back. |

A man charged with raping a 15-year-old, ninth-grade San Rafael High School girl Monday did not enter pleas to the charges this afternoon and will be arraigned Wednesday morning in Marin County Superior Court.
The Marin County Public Defender's office was appointed to represent 26-year-old Jorge Alberto Ek-Luna. San Rafael police said he recently arrived from Mexico. He is in the Marin County jail under both an Immigration and Naturalization Service hold and $750,000 bail. He has been charged with rape, assault, kidnapping, committing lewd and lascivious acts with a 14- or 15-year-old girl, damaging a wireless communication device, providing false identification to police and an enhancement alleging a prior felony strike as a sex offender, according to the county jail. San Rafael police said Ek-Luna approached the girl from behind around 8 a.m. as she was walking to school alone on Third Street. He allegedly held a broken bottle to her throat, took away her cell phone, forced her into some bushes and raped her, police said. 
Two local imams and a son of one of the religious leaders have been deported to Pakistan on immigration violations, leaving prosecutors to focus on an ice cream vendor and his son. Hamid Hayat, 23, is charged with lying to the FBI about attending a terrorism camp in Pakistan in 2003 and 2004. His father, Umer Hayat, 47, is charged with lying when he denied his son had attended such a camp. 
OAKLAND — A teenage girl who was attacked and brutally raped in Berkeley's Aquatic Park in May testified in court that she felt helpless and scared for her life during the sexual assault. The testimony came during a preliminary hearing for 
Sheriff's deputies arrested a man in Modesto suspected of raping, drugging and kidnapping a girl in Coulterville. Aaron Suarez, 34, of Modesto was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, rape of a drugged victim, unlawful sex with a minor under the age of 16 and committing lewd acts with a minor, among other charges. The Sheriff's Department was seeking Suarez, who was suspected of rape and kidnapping, which happened within the last few weeks. A K-9 officer sent in his dog. Suarez, however, had climbed into a small crawl space into the attic.
