DARKEST AFRICA: (WHITE) Italian Ambassador Among 3 Killed in Attack on Congo Convoy
Kinshasa, Congo (AP) -- The Italian ambassador to Congo, an Italian Carabinieri police officer and their Congolese driver were killed Monday when gunmen attacked a U.N. convoy going to visit a school in eastern Congo, the Italian Foreign Ministry and residents said.
Luca Attanasio, Italy’s ambassador to the country since 2017, Carabinieri officer Vittorio Iacovacci and their driver were killed, officials said. Other members of the convoy were wounded and taken to a hospital, the World Food Program said. The ambush occurred as the convoy was traveling from Goma, Congo's eastern regional capital, to visit a WFP school project in Rutshuru, the U.N. agency said. The WFP said the attack occurred on a road that had been cleared previously for travel without security escorts, and it was seeking more information from local officials on the attack. Eastern Congo is home to myriad rebel groups all vying for control of the mineral-rich Central African nation that is the size of Western Europe. execute white couple in 'racist attack' after teenager and his
girlfriend run out of fuel and are left stranded on South
African motorway  Johanco
Fleischman, 19, and girlfriend Jessica Kuhn, 23, were
executed in cold blood as they waited on a motorway bridge for a
family friend to bring them a can of diesel to get them going. Two
employees sitting in the back of the car with the couple were
brutally beaten by the killers but spared death and have described
the horrific double murder to shocked police in detail.It is understood the attackers walked past the car and murmured a racial insult at Fleischman before opening fire. The two witnesses told cops the Toyota Hilux had run out of diesel on the N12 West near Benoni some 20 miles east of Johannesburg and butcher Johanco had called a friend for help. As they waited for rescue they said three men walked past the car and then walked back hissing the word 'umhulungu' at Johanco - a derogatory phrase for a white man. One of the men then pulled a revolver without warning and fired at least nine bullets, hitting Johanco several times in the body. As he slumped into the road the gunman leaned into the cab and killed Jessica with a single shot to the head, before they stealing her mobile phone. Then in an attempt to cover their tracks they set fire to the inside of the Toyota with a lighter. Jessica was slumped dead in the passenger seat, Johanco on the road, and the two badly beaten workers had fled for their lives. A passing motorist saw the truck on fire and used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames and then saw the bodies. He called the emergency services who were quickly at the scene. The attack happened in broad daylight at 11am and police and medical services were quickly there but the couple were declared dead at the scene. cannibal caught eating a woman he beheaded has died after a police
shot him in South Africa. Aphiwe Mapekula,
23, collapsed in a hail of bullets with arm, leg and stomach
injuries when police officers tried to arrest him at his home. He is
said to have ignored several warning shots as he continued to eat Thembisa
Masumpa's raw flesh. Officers finally opened fire on him
when he attacked them with a knife, police said. Mapekula is said to
have slit 35-year-old Thembisa's throat and hacked off her
head in Mount Frere, South Africa. His
horrified mum called cops after witnessing the gruesome slaughter.
But officers said he was tucking in to Thembisa's raw flesh by the
time they turned up. He then attacked them with a knife before being
shot, said police Captain Edith Mjoko. Mapekula's devastated mother
said: 'I never raised a son like this one. I never imagined this.'
Police originally said Mapekula had dragged Thembisa from the street
before butchering her. But neighbours said she did odd jobs at his
home and was washing in the back yard when he attacked her. |

guests soup made from a murdered
clergyman’s corpse. Roland Peter, 47, was
arrested while allegedly preparing a dish in his kitchen with the
man’s liver and intestines. He is said to be a member of a gang who
kidnapped and killed the victim in Nigeria. Police Commissioner Zaki
Ahmed said: “The Command arrested Roland Peter, a member of a
notorious gang that kidnapped Pastor
Samuel Okpara from Edoha. “They kidnapped, killed
and beheaded the victim and used his liver and intestines for
pepper-soup and plantain portage. “He was arrested while
preparing the meal for his gang.” Peter is also accused of keeping
rifles used by the gang, led by “one Justus, but popularly known as
High Tension,” reports Punch. Peter denied the murder and cannibal
allegations, claiming he was arrested for illegal possession of
firearms. It is the second cannibal horror bombshell to rock Africa
in a week. Five men are in custody after a woman was reportedly raped,
murdered and butchered before parts of her were eaten in Estcourt,

Africa: Young South African student was 'raped, stabbed and
strangled to death' after carjacking    Four
men have been arrested after a young student was allegedly raped,
stabbed and then strangled to death in a brutal carjacking in South
Africa's Western Cape province. Hannah
Cornelius was with a friend, Cheslin Marsh, when they were
attacked in the leafy university town of Stellenbosch. Two men were
arrested by police the next day, following a high speed car chase
involving the Volkswagen Golf which police said was stolen from Miss
Cornelius. Two more suspects have since been arrested. Stellenbosch
University students Miss Cornelius, 21, and Mr
Marsh, were together in her car in the early hours of
Friday morning when they were hijacked by four men. Mr Marsh was
forced into the boot of the car and Miss Cornelius was put in the
back seat and the attackers drove them 11 miles to the Kraaifontein
suburb of Cape Town. There, Mr Marsh was allegedly pelted with
bricks but managed to escape over a wall. He was found by resident
Averal Fortuin, who told News24 “he was barefoot and covered in
blood”. Mr Fortuin said Mr Marsh told him: “If I hadn’t jumped over
the wall, I would have been dead.” Mr Marsh suffered head injuries
and a broken arm and remains in a Cape Town hospital. Miss Cornelius
was driven to another location and raped, stabbed and strangled,
according to reports. Her body was found on a road outside of
Kraaifontein. The car was allegedly used to conduct a robbery in
another town. Video footage captured the police chase which led to
the arrest of two of the suspects, Vernon Witbooi, 32, and
Geraldo Parsens, 26. “It's inexplicable; flippin'
animals,” her uncle, Dries Cornelius said.

South African mother found naked with her EYES gouged out after
being stabbed 21 times as police arrest black beast A
South African woman who was ambushed in her own home was stabbed 21
times before having her eyes gouged out before her naked body was
discovered by her son who arrived home from school. Tanya
Wiers, 44, was discovered by her son Rolf lying in her
daughter's bedroom after suffering the gruesome attack. The brutal
slaying has been described by police as the worst they have ever
witnessed. The mother-of-three was attacked at her home in
Polokwane, about 150 miles north of Pretoria. Police arrested
25-year-old suspect Frans Maela in
connection with the killing. A family friend told the Bosveld Review
said she had gone into the house after Mrs Wiers' husband Rolf Snr
said he received a disturbing call from her son who was talking
incoherently: 'I went into the house, thinking she might have died
from a heart attack. What I saw was like something out of a horror
movie. She was lying in her youngest daughter’s room covered by a

Canada:
Farai Chigogora deported to Zimbabwe Hamilton’s
Farai Chigogora has been deported to
Zimbabwe after losing a last minute bid to stay in Canada.
Chigogora, 21, was deported in connection with a 2012 home
invasion in Cayuga, Ont., for which he eventually plead
guilty to theft under $5,000 and served 15 months in jail.
Chigogora's supporters said he left Canada on a plane Tuesday

AFRICA: MURDER MOST FOUL- ELDERLY WHITE MAN BRUTALLY MURDERED
AND HIS FLESH RIPPED FROM HIS BODY An elderly white businessman was found stabbed to death in his Kelvin Estate, Croydon home on Thursday morning. Aron James Hammon (76) was found naked and with his hands tied in one of the bedrooms of his home. The flesh on one of his arms was ripped from his body. Two knives were found at the scene of the crime. His son and daughter-in-law made the gruesome discovery when they went to check up on him, as they do every morning, before going to work. (White) couple's desperate plea to return to England after
violent attacks in (black) Zimbabwe  BATTERED
and bruised, a pensioner who fears for her life in Zimbabwe is
urging the British government to allow her and husband Gerry to move
back to England. Sandra De Klerk, 75, is
fighting to get her husband Gerry, 80, a UK visa after the
couple were brutally assaulted during two break-ins at their home
in Harare. Traumatised and living in fear, the couple are
desperate to move back to Stroud, a market town in Gloucestershire.
But Mr De Klerk has a Zimbabwean passport, making it difficult for
the couple to secure a visa. Because of the collapse of the
Zimbabwean dollar in the 1990s, the pair's combined retirement
savings were lost. Unable to raise the money required, the couple
have found themselves stranded in Zimbabwe.

Africa: South Africa: 3 men charged with the murder and
suspected rape of a (White) 87-year-old nun JOHANNESBURG
– Nuns at a rural convent in South Africa say they feel safer after
the arrest of three men accused of killing an elderly colleague.
Police spokesman Major Thulani Zwane said the three will appear in
court on Wednesday, charged with murder, robbery and rape. Zwane
said they were arrested on Apr. 27, about week after the attack. A
police statement said Austrian Gertrud
Tiefenbacher was found dead in her room, her hands bound
with a cord from an electric typewriter. Her face was covered with a
towel, which suffocated her. Police also suspect she was raped.
Sister Gerald Frye of the Sacred Heart Home said the 87-year-old,
known as Sister Stefanie, was buried on Monday in the KwaZulu-Natal
province at the convent where she worked for more than 50 years.

Scottish grandmother murdered in her home in Cape Town 74-year-old
Scottish-born Sandra Malcolm was due to fly home to see
relatives next month after living in the Cape Town area for 35
years. But the body of the 74-year-old, originally from Angus, was
discovered by her grandson on Sunday morning, sparking a massive
manhunt for her killers. Ms Malcolm’s nephew, Colin Chalmers, last
night said the family had been left distraught by the murder. He
said: “I’ve never had to deal with anything like this before. "It’s
completely shocking. “All I know is that my auntie has been
murdered. "I don’t want to court any of the rumours around it
because we know very little at this stage.” The killing took place
in Marina da Gama, around half-an-hour’s drive from the centre of
Cape Town and located near the stunning False Bay. Details are still
emerging of how the pensioner came to be found in her flat at Capri
Mews complex. South African news networks reported that her
body had been mutilated by her attackers, although police

Africa: CAPE TOWN - An Eastern Cape teacher whose lifeless body
was found abandoned  in
Uitenhage last week will be laid to rest at 2pm today. Twenty
eight-year-old Jayde Panayiotou was
abducted from outside her residence in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday
last week. The next day, police found her body just outside the
Kwanobuhle township in Uitenhage. She was apparently shot dead.
Police have released the identity kit of a possible suspect as the
investigation into her murder enters its second week.

rich. Chamangeni Zulu, from Malawi,

the Malawi border, after he allowed the hyena to eat his manhood. Mr
Zulu told the Times of Zambia yesterday that he was promised by a
witch doctor that by sacrificing his body parts he would become

horror started just before midnight on Wednesday this week. After
listening to the latest television news about the health of Nelson
Mandela, a South African family living not far from the
former President’s hospital unit turned in for the night. But Roelof
and Laura du Plessis, a married couple with four children
who live on a heavily fortified farm outside Pretoria, did not have
a peaceful night’s rest. In fact they were about to become the
latest victims of what white pressure groups in this troubled nation
say is nothing less than a savage war against them. Hearing noises
outside their home, Mr du Plessis, 46, got out of bed and ran
outside. To his horror, he found his 19-year-old son being held with
a gun to his head by a gang of five armed black attackers.
Father and son were ordered to lie on the ground. The invaders did
not ask for money or the keys to the expensive vehicles in the
drive. They were there only to terrorise and kill. Hearing voices
outside, Laura, 44, came out of her bedroom to investigate — and her
torch illuminated an awful scene as the gang pointed guns at her
husband. Her son managed to get up and sprint off into the darkness
when the men were confused by the flashlight. But Du Plessis was not
so lucky. The intruders opened fire at once, shooting him six times
through the throat, lungs and abdomen. As he writhed on the ground
in agony, the men ran off into the night leaving empty bullet
cartridges littering the yard. In the darkness, Laura attempted
heart massage on her husband, who could still talk despite his

South Africa: Two blacks
drowned white child in boiling water - July 25, 2012   Two
young black males gagged a crying
12-year old white boy and afterwards drowned him in a bath
filled with boiling water. The accused yesterday admitted
guilt to the murder with smiles as they appeared in the
Vereeniging regional court, reports the Johannesburg Afrikaans
daily, Beeld. In a typical South African black-on-white
atrocity, the boy and his entire family were massacred on
1 October 2011 in Walkerville, south of Johannesburg. Amaro
Jose Viana, of Portuguese descent, his mother Geraldine (42) and
father Tony (53) were killed in an attack by the family’s
gardener Petrus Radebe (24), Sipho
Mbele (21) and Sphiwe David Motaung (20). A
fourth black person, a minor whose name was not
published and appartently the son of Petrus Radebe, also
participated in the attack. All four admitted their guilt on all
charges against them. According to the accused,
“we mutually raped Geraldine Viana”. Sipho Mbele raped her
first while Petrus Radebe helped to restrain her by standing on her
face. Afterwards Radebe raped her too. Beeld reports that Charmaine
Castleman, an attorney appearing for the accused, read a statement
in court explaining that the three men burgled the Viana residence
to rob them of their possessions and “to get Geraldine Viana back”
for the way she had treated them. The white
family’s dog apparently barked tremendously during the
burglary. The animal was killed by disembowelling

Kumasi Circuit Court has thrown behind bars a 36-year-old carpenter
for 36 months for having sexual intercourse with a sheep. Kwaku
Amable, who is married with two children, was found guilty
of bestiality, the act of having sex with an animal. He committed
the act despite excessive bleating by the
sheep at about 12 midnight on March 25, 2011.

Former
president Nelson Mandela's son-in-law, Isaac Amuah, wanted in
the US on rape charges The
US wants Isaac Amuah to be extradited
to stand trial. He was an assistant professor at the Manchester
Technical Community College, in Hartford, Connecticut, at the time
of the alleged rape. Amuah is accused of sexually assaulting an
algebra student in April 1993. He has denied the charge. The US
intends charging him with seven counts, including three of sexual
assault, three of kidnapping and one of failing to appear in a
Connecticut court on three occasions after he was granted bail. The
first warrant for his arrest was issued by the US in January 1994, a
month after he left America for South Africa.

Court hears of Congo 'war crimes'  War
crimes judges have begun hearing evidence against a militia
commanded by former Democratic Republic of Congo Vice-President
Jean-Pierre Bemba. His Movement for the Liberation of Congo
intervened in a power struggle in neighbouring Central African
Republic in 2002 and 2003. The International Criminal Court
pre-trial hearings involve claims of murder and rape. Mr Bemba
denies all charges. One man who said he had been raped in front of
his family, then forced to watch his wife and children abused.

African Stanley Tirizai Mabona kidnapped and raped a 14-year-old
American tourist girl A Johannesburg High Court judge said Stanley Tirizai Mabona, 22, of Pimville, Soweto, had shamed his country - and then sentenced him to an effective 18 years in jail for the multiple rape and robbery of a 14-year-old American girl. The girl was in the country for only three days with her mother and other Americans to teach about the dangers of HIV and Aids when Mabona kidnapped her from a group of friends on June 20 last year. They were returning from a party that night when Mabona and his friend Derrick Mabaso pounced. Mabaso later turned state witness. Mabona, who was carrying an object resembling a firearm, then took the girl to a disused golf course in Pimville where he raped her. Afterwards, he took her to his family's house where he raped her again in the presence of his retarded brother. calling "the archbishop's love nest". But there is little doubt that
the man perched on the edge of the bed is Pius
Ncube, Roman Catholic Archbishop of
Bulawayo and furious opponent of Robert
Mugabe. Behind the cleric, as he takes his shirt off, is a
shape that a worker on Zimbabwe railways, Onesimus
Sibanda, says is his wife, Rosemary, a
secretary in the cathedral. The video, showing a full frontal shot of a naked man who appears to be the archbishop as he climbs on to a woman whose breasts are also visible, is the basis of a lawsuit against the archbishop that is ostensibly about Mr Sibanda's honour but which the government has seized on - and almost certainly engineered - to silence one of Mr Mugabe's most persistent and effective critics. - (Africa) |

Testifies She Was Raped 4 Times * Rwandans
focus on war crimes trial in Montreal MONTREAL
-- A woman testified Tuesday she was raped four times by a man on
trial in Canada for war crimes during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
The witness, known as C17 under a court order protecting her
identity, is the first person to testify that she was a victim of
violence at the hands of Desire Munyaneza,
who is accused of leading attacks on members of the Tutsi ethnic
minority at the National University of Rwanda and south of the
capital, Kigali. More than a half million Tutsis and politically
moderate Hutus were slain during the genocide. Munyaneza is the
first person charged under Canada's War Crimes Act, which permits
the trial of suspects for crimes that occurred abroad. He has
pleaded not guilty to charges of genocide, crimes against humanity
and war crimes. The woman told the court Tuesday that after days on the run she was taken with several other women to a local government office where she was kept for days before being turned over to Munyaneza. "He undressed me, made me lie on the ground, and then he had his way," the woman recalled during emotional testimony. "Desire raped me." lawmaker wanted on child rape charges in US
The Child Abuse Unit of the Law Enforcement Division of Long Island
in New York has published a bulletin containing full description and
detailed personal information of Mr. Kettehkumuehn Earl
Murray, a lawmaker representing District number 3 of
Montserrado County under the Banner of the Congress for Democratic
Change (CDC) party, alleging he sexually abused a minor
in the state of North Carolina, USA in 1996. The bulletin said "
Murray was charged with indecent liberties with a child, and
attempted rape, and a state arrest warrant was issued on April 15,
1997, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. A federal arrest
warrant was issued on April 7, 1999, by the United States District
Court, Western District of North Carolina, after Murray was charged
with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution".

Leader: Dissent to Be Crushed President
Robert Mugabe said Wednesday his government will
not tolerate dissent created "under the guise of freedom of
expression." Mugabe, in his annual state of the nation address to
parliament, said law enforcement agencies will continue to crush
dissent in the troubled southern African nation. He said government
opponents were bent on creating anarchy and pushing what he has
described as a British attempt to topple his government.

wife of a missing British pensioner burned him alive  The
26-year-old African wife of a missing British
pensioner is to be charged with murdering him after he was found to
have been burned alive. Cops said the charred remains of tycoon
William West, 76, were close to the couple’s luxury holiday
beach home in Gambia. He vanished on July 3 while on a vacation with
wife Kate. She claimed he disappeared after
popping into a cigar store on a day trip to neighbouring Senegal.
Mrs West was originally from Ghana but lived in Gambia with her
Nigerian parents. She married Mr West six years ago — when she was
20 — after they met while he was on holiday in Gambia. Police are
holding her in custody, along with a West African man.

Zuma: Not using condom was mistake  JOHANNESBURG,
South Africa (Reuters) -- South Africa's former Deputy President
Jacob Zuma apologized on Tuesday for having unprotected sex
with an HIV-positive woman and said he was resuming his duties at
the ruling ANC party after his acquittal on rape charges. South
Africa has the biggest HIV caseload in the world, with
nearly 5 million people infected. Zuma, an ethnic
Zulu, was hit with the rape charge following a separate
graft scandal last year which prompted Mbeki to sack him as the
country's second-highest official. He faces trial on the corruption

International Criminal Court is preparing to receive its first
prisoner, a Congolese warlord accused of ordering the killing
of nine Bangladeshi peacekeepers last year, according to
sources at the court. Thomas Lubanga,
the leader of the Union of Congolese Patriots (UPC), was arrested in
Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly

Africa: King's brother jailed for rape of 9-year-old girl, his

Dlamini, elder brother of King
Mswati III of Swaziland and a senior member of the
Swazi royal household, has been sent to jail for
seven years because he raped a nine year-old
girl. In his finding Justice Joe Gumede on Thursday
strongly condemned Dlamini's act in the Mbabane magistrate's court.
"Those who commit this type of crime have to receive heavy sentences
because they really do not deserve to be part of the community.
"What you did, has brought shame on your own head and also on the
heads of your children. 'Won't mention the royal family' "I will not
even dare to mention the royal family," Gumede said. The
victim was Dlamini's niece, his sister's grandchild. Dlamini caused
"pain and suffering when he penetrated her and tore her vagina
without any qualms about her rights and dignity, the worst aspect
being that she was in no position to defend herself".

Rwandan
rebel convicted of butchering 9 English-speaking gorilla
tourists to death with clubs and machetes  A
former Rwandan soldier has been given a 15-year jail term for the
murder of eight western "gorilla tourists" and a game warden in a
Ugandan park in 1999. The judge spared Jean Paul
Bizimana, 32, the death sentence, saying some of
the tourists' home-countries view capital punishment as "abhorrent".
He was among Rwandan rebels who abducted 14 tourists and their guide
as they tracked rare mountain gorillas. The tourists were from the
US, the UK and New Zealand.
Four Britons as well as two Americans, two New Zealanders and a
Ugandan game warden, were bludgeoned to death with
axes and machetes in the attack. The victims were
Americans Rob Haubner and his wife, Susan
Miller, of Portland, Ore.; Rhonda
Avis, 27, and Michelle Strathern, 26, from New Zealand;
Britons Martin Friend, 24, Steven Robert, 27
and Mark Lindgren, 23, and Joanne Cotton, a driver for the
London-based outfitter that organized trips to Africa, and Ugandan
guide Ross Wagaba.
During the march, eight people were
killed with machetes and axes. Susan Miller
also was allegedly raped by one of the suspects, the indictment

Africa: Son of UK’s High Commissioner to South Africa accused of
rape   A
son of former Cabinet minister Paul Boateng has
been accused of rape. Benjamin Boateng, 21, has
been investigated over claims by an 18-year-old
girl in Cape Town, South Africa. He has not been arrested
and strongly protests his innocence. He says the girl consented to
sex. Benjamin’s father — a friend of Prime Minister Tony
Blair — has been the UK’s High Commissioner to South
Africa since last year. Mr Boateng — who became Britain’s
first black minister after Labour’s 1997 election triumph
— is said to be shellshocked by the girl’s claims of a double

Reward offered in sex gang case - Black South African migrant
pack rapists on the loose   Detectives
investigating a series of rapes in Northampton have issued a reward
for information leading to the arrest of the sex attackers. Over the
last two weeks there have been three rapes and two attempted
abductions which Northamptonshire Police believe could be linked.
The attacks have led police to warn women and girls not to go out
alone in the town after dark. The
offenders are described as black, in their 20s, with very dark
skin, about 6ft tall and spoke with South African accents.
The latest victim, a 30-year-old woman,
was found with head injuries early on Monday morning. She had been
hit on the head before being raped. On 1 August attempts were made
to abduct a 15-year-old in the early
hours of the morning. Less than an hour later an
18-year-old was forced into a car, driven to Duston and
raped. After police released details of these attacks an
18-year-old woman reported being raped.

Africa: South Africa, Cape Town - Cops ask for help in finding
baby killers  Police
have remained tight-lipped after the murder of a six-month-old baby
in Rondebosch East two days ago. On Thursday they released an
identikit of one of the four intruders responsible for the murder
that has shocked the community. Jordan-Leigh
Norton was stabbed when four intruders gained
entry to her Scout Road home, held up her nanny and uncle and

Mandela
son-in-law seeking to resolve rape charge in Connecticut The
son-in-law of former South African president Nelson
Mandela, who left Connecticut 12-years ago while facing
rape charges, is trying to resolve that case, his attorney said
Friday. Isaac Amuah, a former professor at
Manchester Community Technical College, was accused of sexually
assaulting a 34-year-old student from his algebra class inside
Amuah's Manchester apartment. Amuah was charged with first-degree
sexual assault and unlawful restraint. He was given permission to
travel to South Africa for the holidays in 1993 and never returned.

facing food shortages blamed partly on its large-scale

Senegal (Reuters) -- Senegal has suspended the repatriation of
Senegalese illegal migrants from Spain's Canary Islands because
it said they were mistreated and lied to by Spanish authorities,
a government official said on Thursday. Repatriation flights
were halted a day after the two governments announced the start
of an operation to return more than 600 Senegalese migrants from
the Canaries, where nearly 9,000 sub-Saharan Africans have come
ashore in boats this year. 
The
trouble started when police tried to arrest illegal street
traders. The BBC's Anne Mawathe says when one of the vendors
tried to escape the police opened fire, infuriating the traders.
They rioted and set fire to power transformers, which the police
had to put out with piles of earth.
Local television reports that some of
demonstrators have serious bullet wounds. Our correspondent says
confrontations between hawkers and the police are not unusual in
Nairobi as the traders are not allowed to trade in the central
business areas of the capital.

pleaded not guilty Monday before an international war
crimes tribunal, denying 11 counts of helping destabilize West

into combat.
