Security heavy for rape defendant accused of stabbing his lawyer in Mass. court  DEDHAM, Mass. -- A rape defendant who stabbed his lawyer during jury selection returned to court under heavy security and aggressively asked the attorney: "You still breathing?" "It didn't mean anything to me," lawyer John Courtney told his former client, Che Sosa, on Thursday. Courtney has withdrawn from the trial of Sosa, who attacked him Tuesday with a weapon made of hard plastic. Superior Court Judge Charles Grabau also excused himself from the case because he witnessed it. Sosa, 37, lunged at Courtney before court officers restrained him. Steven Coble accused of kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old girl N.C. -- A man accused of kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old girl he met on the Internet is expected to appear in court Friday. Authorities say the girl left school last Wednesday to meet Steven Coble and stayed with him for nearly a week. When police found out where she was, Coble fled the scene. Coble is charged with one count of second-degree kidnapping and three counts of statutory rape. He is being held in the Iredell County jail under a $160,000 bond. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Fuqwan Long (black not Asian) arrested in rape of 15-year-old WHITE PLAINS - An Elmsford man is under arrest, accused of raping a 15-year-old Tuckahoe girl who police said was so drunk she vomited several times before the alleged attack. Fuqwan Long, 30, was arrested on East Post Road Tuesday afternoon - a day after White Plains Hospital Center officials contacted city police to report the alleged rape, which authorities said occurred Saturday evening in an abandoned building on Harmon Street. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Black School Bus Driver Accused Of Sex With 13-year-ol Girl  A former Mooresville school bus driver is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old student. A tip led police to the Davidson home of 23-year-old Adrian Lamont Lowery on Wednesday morning, where officers found the Mooresville girl, whose parents had reported her missing, hiding in a closet. Det. Todd Marcum said it wasn’t until the girl disappeared that officers found out the two were having an inappropriate relationship. But they now believe the two first became intimate while he was a bus driver for Mooresville Graded School District and she was a student. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Police Seek Additional Evidence After Rape Arrest  Police plan to seek an additional warrant to obtain more evidence following the arrest of a man in connection with a rape and carjacking in Indianapolis earlier this week. Investigators said Audrain Jones, 18, beat, raped a robbed a 27-year-old woman after accosting her as she loaded packages into her car at a garage on East Market Street Monday. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police said they arrested Jones Friday night based upon evidence found in the victim's car and information from Jones' relatives. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |

When the 57-year-old woman was raped Jan. 1 in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood, a sample of Joshua Lamar Smith's DNA was awaiting processing. Indianapolis woman kidnapped, raped and robbed by feral black in broad daylight Metro police are still looking for a rape suspect who attacked during broad daylight in a downtown parking garage. Detectives are now asking some downtown businesses for help. Just before 5:00 Monday evening, a 27-year-old woman was adbucted from a downtown parking garage. The garage sits along busy Market Street about a block and a half from Monument Circle. Investigators have a sketch of the suspect. He is described as a thin black male in his late teens or early twenties with a small thin build. Police say he was wearing a black puffy down coat with silver lettering.. - (crime) |

White Highschool Student Was Strangled; Bond Denied To Two Black Suspects - Video at link   Strangulation was the contributing cause of Shannon Torrence’s death, officials ruled late Tuesday night following an autopsy of the teen. The County Coroner said that preliminary results from the autopsy showed that Torrence died of “incomplete strangulation and terminal. Torrence was found nude with a garbage bag over his head. Duct tape was also on the outside of the bag over Torrence’s nose and mouth. “There were multiple scrapes and bruises and indications that he was dragged to the site where he was found.” Two men are charged with capital murder in the slaying. Sheriff William Richardson says the suspects, 18-year-old Issac Jermaine Nelson and 19-year-old Craig Lashoun McBeath, knew Torrence. Mayor Frank Melton accused of 4 probation violations Jackson Mayor Frank Melton is accused of staying out past his curfew, participating in unauthorized police raids, spending the night with minors and failing to notify his probation officer of his heart surgery, according to the warrant for his arrest. On today, The Clarion-Ledger obtained copies of the warrant and an affidavit sworn by Melton’s probation officer, Dennis Grant. The charges stem from an overnight visit Melton had in January with a single mother and her young children at Christian Brotherhood Homes in northwest Jackson, a police raid he led that shut down the Upper Level Bar and Grill in February and his heart surgery in Texas in late January. - (Newsroom) |

Jatteria Nixon, 14, was taken into custody Wednesday after being captured by Orange County's specialized auto trap unit. Black rapes and murders White Eastern Michigan University co-ed  An Eastern Michigan University student has been charged in the rape and murder of another student found dead in her dormitory room. Orange Amir Taylor III, 20 of Southfield, was arrested Friday, 10 weeks after the body of Laura Dickinson was found in her dorm room. The suspect was charged with homicide, home invasion, two counts of criminal sexual conduct and larceny. The university has been informing students and their families about the arrest. Late Thursday, Cobb County police announced the arrest of Ashley Miller and Heather Johnston, both 19, of Fulton County, Ga. for felony theft in connection with a daring daylight heist at a suburban Atlanta branch of Bank of America. The pair of bandits was not hit with the much more serious charge of bank robbery because the two women had inside help. Police also arrested bank teller Benny Herman Allen III, 22, of Bartow County. 
All three women were attacked in Oslo's popular Grünerløkka district late Saturday night while on their way home. As in earlier cases, one of the women was attacked as she unlocked the entry door to her apartment building on Trondheimsveien. Her assailant, described by police as an "aggressive" man in his mid-20s, believed to be Somalian, drew a knife and forced her into the apartment she shared with several roommates.
