Norway: Somalian migrant rapist on the loose
All three women were attacked in Oslo's popular Grünerløkka district late Saturday night while on their way home. As in earlier cases, one of the women was attacked as she unlocked the entry door to her apartment building on Trondheimsveien. Her assailant, described by police as an "aggressive" man in his mid-20s, believed to be Somalian, drew a knife and forced her into the apartment she shared with several roommates.   A Mexican national, Delgadillo was arrested in 1995 but fled the country for Mexico before his trial in January 1996, skipping out on a $5,000 bond. According to his own testimony, he re-entesred the U.S. illegally in 2004 and lived in New Castle under an alias. The case file states that he was arrested in April 2006 after an "adverse reaction to cocaine" landed him in the hospital. He has been in custody since. Delgadillo has a wife and a young son in Mexico, and he still faces a trial for cocaine use, which might compound his jail time.

20-year-old black man raped a prominent white woman at knifepoint
Ronnie Long went to prison for life in 1976 after a Concord jury ruled the 20-year-old black man raped a prominent white woman at knifepoint. It was eyewitness testimony from the victim -- the 54-year-old widow of a Concord textile executive -- that swayed the all-white jury. She had "no doubt whatsoever," she said, Long was the man.
Racial tension in Concord also complicated the case. Blacks were already angry about the shooting of a black youth by a white store clerk. The selection of an all-white jury in Long's trial increased the divide. To enter the courthouse, jurors passed protesters and the courtroom was packed, with whites seated behind the victim, and blacks behind Long. The verdict sparked riots with chants of "Free Ronnie Long." But the case withstood two appeals.
