Two Negroes face 48 counts in downstate crime spree - White police deputy shot in face - Satanic paraphernalia    Two Chicago men were charged with a combined 48 counts, including attempted murder, for a crime spree that began with a traffic stop and ended with a sheriff's deputy shot in the face and a standoff in a central Illinois bank. William B. Thompson, 26, and Yusef Kareem Brown, 23, were arraigned separately. The charges stem from a daylong string of crimes last Thursday that began with a traffic stop on Interstate 57 and ended only after the shooting of Douglas County Chief Deputy Tommy Martin and a standoff in an Arcola bank.
Chicago police also were investigating the death of a man who owned the Infiniti driven during Thompson's and Brown's initial traffic stop. The car's owner, 40-year-old Arnie Graves, was found stabbed to death Thursday night in his condominium on Chicago's South Side. Primitive black rapist tied to 5 lovers' lane attacks A serial rapist wanted for attacking a woman in Brooklyn's Prospect Park has assaulted as many as four other victims including 15-year-old girl - grabbing them in lovers' lanes, police said yesterday. In one horrific case, the rapist told his victim that he had filmed her and her boyfriend as they had sex in Prospect Park. The rapist threatened to release the tape on the Internet if she didn't go quietly with him, police said. "He says to the victims that he may show photographs of them being involved with a male in the park, that he would make them public." Trial begins for black security guard accused of murdering White student   MINOT, N.D. -- Prosecutors opened the trial of a former jailer and campus security guard Wednesday by saying that DNA under the fingernails of the college student he is accused of killing proves he committed the crime. Mindy Morgenstern, a 22-year-old Valley City State University student, was found in her off-campus apartment in September strangled with her own belt, stabbed with her kitchen knives and covered with cleaning fluid. Moe Gibbs, 34, is charged with murder in her death. The DNA, found on her shirt and under her fingernails, will help prosecutors prove that he killed her. | Black Teen Convicted of School Beating of White Student La. -- A black teenager who once faced attempted murder and conspiracy charges for beating a white schoolmate amid racial tension at their high school was convicted Thursday of lesser charges. After a prosecutor reduced attempted murder charges this week, an all-white jury found Mychal Bell, 17, guilty of aggravated second-degree battery and conspiracy to commit aggravated second-degree battery, both felonies. Black Houston teen flies into courtroom rage after receiving death sentence   A Harris County criminal court jury decided Wednesday that Dexter Johnson should be put to death for the rape and murder of Sally Aparece and her boyfriend Huy Ngo. Johnson was found guilty last week of killing the 23-year-old. Johnson had previously refused to leave his cell for the punishment phase of his trial, but was in court to hear his fate on Wednesday. After the death sentence was handed down, Johnson was visibly upset. As the judge was letting the jury leave, members of Johnson's family hollered out. A few seconds later a loud bang could be heard and sheriff's deputies were caught on camera wrestling Johnson to the ground. The noise sent others in the courtroom diving for cover. Deputies jumped into action, serving as a barrier between those sitting in the courtroom and Johnson. Outside the courtroom, two people collapsed. According to family members, Johnson's aunt and uncle were taken by ambulance to a hospital. African migrant Kwame Boateng raped 8-year-old girl Police searched Boateng's apartment on Saturday and seized two bedspreads, a T-shirt, a photo album, a passport, a foreign driver's license and several pornographic DVDs. Prince William County Police say Boateng is also known as Kingsley Duku and Kingsley Dukun. Investigators don't believe he will leave the area, despite his ties to Ghana. |

His oldest daughter, Taylor, was born out of wedlock to a girlfriend in 1997. A younger daughter, Breonna, was born to another woman in 2001, shortly before Cutts married her. His son, 2-year-old Blake, was born to girlfriend Jessie Davis while Cutts was separated from his wife. Relatives say Cutts and Davis were due to have another daughter, Chloe, early next month. But now Cutts is accused of murdering Davis and the unborn girl. "There's a lot of little children being absolutely devastated over this," Davis' mother, Patricia Porter, said Monday outside Canton Municipal Court. Former funeral director pleads guilty in fetus case - 18 counts of abuse of a corpse Robert B. Winston Jr., a former McKeesport funeral director who reportedly stashed hundreds of fetuses and deceased newborn babies in his garage pleaded guilty yesterday to theft or withholding property and a single count of abuse of a corpse. Deputy District Attorney Janet Necessary withdrew 18 counts of abuse of a corpse which involved 12 female and six male infants who died after birth at Magee-Womens Hospital between 2000 and 2002. Mr. Winston had a contract with Magee to dispose of the bodies. He agreed in his plea deal to pay $8,910 restitution for taking the money but not fulfilling his part of the agreement. - (Newsroom) |
