Police image shows suspect in rape case The victim, an unidentified 28-year-old woman, told police she was inside a residence in the 600 block of McBaine Avenue at 11:40 a.m. Sunday when a man entered the residence and assaulted her, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department. The composite illustration of the suspect depicts a black man in his late 30s to early 40s. The woman told police he was unshaven and approximately 6 feet tall and between 220 and 240 pounds. - (Newsroom) |
HIV-Positive Woman Admits To Selling Sex To College Students Pa. -- Police said a 36-year-old woman infected with HIV has admitted to having sex with 10 male Cheyney University students last week. Investigators said Sakinah Floyd roamed the halls offering her body for cash. Police said Floyd admitted to giving two students oral sex for a total of $20. Investigators said they fear she may have passed the HIV virus on to some of those students. Serial black queer rapist that targeted young white men appears in court HOUSTON -- A man suspected in up to five attacks against (white) Baytown men appeared in court. Keith Chester Hill, 19, has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault in a case from May. His case was reset until Wednesday. Hill was arrested late Tuesday after DNA obtained from him matched that taken from a victim in a May attack. Prosecutors said Hill posted a nude photograph of one of his victims on MySpace.com. School Bus Driver Accused of Rape Skips Court A First Student bus driver charged statutory rape was due to have her first appearance in court today --- but she didn't show up. Now the judge has issued a warrant for Latoya Baldwin's arrest. Earlier this month, investigators charged her with having sex with a 15-year-old Central High School student who was on her bus route. Rumors about the relationship between the student and the bus driver got back to the school resource officer who questioned the teenager. Baldwin now faces one felony count of statutory rape.. but investigators say there may soon be more. Since Baldwin didn't show up at Monday morning's court hearing the judge tripled her bond to $18,000. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |

Sex offender pleads guilty to rape charges A high-risk sex offender has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a Greece woman. Michael Parker admitted his guilt at the beginning of his trial in State Supreme Court Friday. Parker attacked the woman outside a garden store on Stone Road last Easter. Several customers got him off the woman and held him down until police arrived. In exchange for his plea, the judge will cap Parker's prison sentence at nine and a half years. He faced a maximum of 15 years. Parker already served time for attempted sexual abuse. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
21 years later DNA nails the right black rapist Twelve days after the initial rape happened in 1985, there was another rape, which happened within three miles of the initial rape. Kenneth Wicker was arrested and convicted in that case. He was sentenced to serve four years in prison, and served that time. The D.A.’s office has taken the DNA evidence from both of those rapes, compared it and found a match. That DNA also matches Wicker. He has been arrested in connection with April 1985 rape that Williams was originally convicted of. D.A. Paul Howard said the victim is still having a hard time with the new evidence, because she still believes her identification was correct. “I think she would still rely on her identification,” Howard said. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Self-proclaimed youth minister and convicted rapist wanted for homosexual assault of a 10-year-old boy Sex Crimes detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in locating a self-proclaimed youth minister and convicted rapist who is currently under investigation for the reported sexual assault of a 10-year-old boy. Brian Bernard Hunter, 31, is currently wanted for probation violation in Memphis, where he was convicted of the statutory rape of 13-year-old boy. Hunter was arrested in Nashville at 12:30 a.m. on October 21, 2006, for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and driving without a license. UK: Rape victim speaks of her pain after attacker's sentencing he victim of a rapist who preyed on women leaving Brixton Tube station has spoken of her pain after seeing her attacker jailed. Daniel Wellington from Oakfield Road, Croydon, was sentenced yesterday for one count of rape and two sexual assaults carried out on the same night in January 2006. Judge Stays Release of Black Racist and False Prophet Ex-Cult Head Yahweh Ben Yahweh MIAMI - A federal judge ruled Friday that parole authorities should stop visiting cult leader and convicted killer Yahweh Ben Yahweh because of his terminal cancer. Yahweh's attorneys, Steven Potolsky and Jayne Weintraub, asked U.S. District Court Judge Alan Gold to overrule the two previous parole commission decisions and stop supervision.
Yahweh was released from prison in 2001 after 11 years for a racketeering conviction stemming from his role in up to 23 murders in the 1980s, some involving beheadings and severed ears and fingers. He was born Hulon Mitchell Jr. in Oklahoma but changed his name to the Hebrew words for ``God, son of God.'' As the head of the Nation of Yahweh, he preached racial and religious separatism to followers.

A Fort Myers youth pastor is charged with sexually assaulting two children - in one case several times a week for 11 months.
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO -- At a news conference Monday afternoon, South San Francisco police announced the arrest of a man suspected of attempting to rape a woman at a South San Francisco business on Thursday, but have yet to connect him to a several area rapes and attempted rapes over the past year.Investigators were not "100-percent sure" that Contreras was responsible for a February 2006 rape in Colma, two attempted rapes in South San Francisco's Orange Park in September and November, and a rape on South Linden Avenue in South San Francisco, also in November. 
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Mayor Bill Purcell vetoed a measure Monday that would have made English the official language of Nashville, saying it was unconstitutional, unnecessary and mean-spirited. "This ordinance does not reflect who we are in Nashville," Purcell said. The measure passed 23-14 last week by the Metro Council required all government documents to be in English, except when multilingual communications are required by federal rules or are needed "to protect or promote public health, safety or welfare." Opponents and supporters of the ordinance agreed it was largely a symbolic slap at illegal immigration that had no significant effect.
