Manuel Angel Cervantes Accused Of Kidnapping, Assaulting Teen - another 'Angel'  Aurora and Oswego Police arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a Sunday morning incident in which a 17-year-old Oswego girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted. Charges are pending against Manuel Angel Cervantes. Officials said that after Cervantes assaulted the girl in Oswego, he drove her to his Aurora apartment and again attacked her. The victim was then taken to a business in the 2300 Block of Ogden Avenue in Aurora, where she was dropped off and able to contact police. | Two blacks going to prison on charge of carjacking and dragging a White man chained to a pickup truck - "Not a hatecrime" Two Hartsville men who pleaded guilty to federal carjacking charges in an incident in which a man was chained to a pickup truck and dragged through a field have been sentenced to prison. Kenneth Smith, 41, was sentenced to 14 years in prison Wednesday by U.S. District Judge R. Bryan Harwell. Lamont McKay, 27, was sentenced to seven years. The men forced the victim into his own pickup truck, ordered him to drive to a nearby field and made him take his clothes off. The victim was then beaten with a tire iron and burned with a cigarette lighter, chained to the truck and dragged up the road. The victim, who is white, said Smith and McKay, who are black, made racial slurs while chaining him to the truck. Authorities said they do not doubt the comments were made but said the crime did not appear to be racially motivated, because the robbery occurred first. - (Tyrone N. Grandmother in Court for Murder The 78-year-old woman who, police say, gunned down her former 85-year-old boyfriend in an act of jealousy was set to appear in court Friday. Police arrested Lena Sims Driskell on June 10 for fatally shooting Herman Winslow at the Hightower Manor retirement home in southwest Atlanta. They charged her with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Police said Driskell was angry that her yearlong romance with Winslow had ended and he was seeing another woman. She was scheduled to be in Fulton County court at 9:30 a.m. for a bond modification hearing. - (Animal Control) - (crime) |
Stepfather Of Missing Girl Confesses He Killed Corey Brooks Steven Carrington, stepfather of a 12-year-old Orchard girl whose body was recovered last week, has confessed to the 1998 killing of Corey Brooks. Brooks, 21 at the time of his death, lived on Johnson Road just east of Orchard – the same property where Teketria Buggs lived, and from which she was reported missing Dec. 3. Brooks was last seen at a family reunion, some seven years ago. Investigators arrested Carrington while the search for his missing stepdaughter, Teketria, got under way, on unrelated charges of failure to appear in court. He has been in the county jail since. Brooks’ mother, Carolyn Brooks of Rosenberg, said a Fort Bend County Sheriff’s detective told her that Carrington had confessed to her son’s killing. - (crime) - (Brewski) |
Restaurant maintenance man murder suspect appears in court, White victim laid to rest  St. Petersburg, Florida – The man suspected of killing a St. Petersburg restaurant manager made a court appearance while his alleged victim was laid to rest. A judge ordered Wilson Saintil held without bond and appointed him a public defender. Saintil is charged with first degree murder in the death of Stephen Holmes. Saintil was arrested when he returned to Durango's Steak House.. That's where Holmes' body was discovered. Saintil stabbed Holmes to death and robbed the restaurant. Saintil had been the maintenance man at the restaurant. Meanwhile, Holmes' co-workers, friends and family paid their final respects to the husband and father. Callous and cruel waffle house cook charged in poisoning of homeless man Police have filed new and more serious charges against a former Waffle House employee accused of poisoning a homeless man. Family members say 50-year-old Rex Leo is in critical condition after drinking a concoction that included industrial strength dishwashing detergent. Leo was homeless and, according his brother, Bob Leo, hooked on alcohol. At a Henry County Waffle House, Henry County Police say, a cook, 19-year-old Quinton Wilson, dared the homeless man to drink a bizarre concoction. The potion sent Rex to the hospital. Wilson was fired from his job at the Waffle House after the incident. - (crime) |
Man Arrested In Rape Cases From 1990s ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Police have arrested a man in connection with two rape cases from the 1990s. On Dec. 23, 1993, a 34-year-old woman from Olney was raped on Old Baltimore Road as she walked toward her home after getting off of a bus. A 54-year-old woman was cleaning a laundry room he morning of Sept. 18, 1997, when a man attempted to rape her. The victim fought back and was kicked and beaten by the man before he fled. In 1998, Serrell Singleton, 42, became a suspect in the 1997 case. He was linked to it by DNA evidence, police said. In 2004, he was identified as a suspect in the 1993 case, again linked to it by DNA. - (crime) - (guru2000) |
Wal-Mart Santa arrested for exposing self to boy Newburgh - A Wal-Mart Santa Claus was arrested Monday for allegedly exposing himself to a 15-year-old boy and attempting to have the boy engage in oral sex with him at his home on Dec. 9. Ransford George Perry, 57, has acted as an advocate for numerous children around Newburgh through a business called the Association Against Biased Educators. He is also a promoter for "talented children," and a Santa Claus at the Wal-Mart on Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh. Perry was acting as an advocate for the youth and told the victim he had work for him to do at his home when the assault allegedly took place, police said. - (aryan_barbarian) |
Negro student attacked a 14-year-old female student in a boys restroom  A Sarasota high school student is accused of sexually attacking another student. Police say 17-year-old Jared Jenkins attacked a 14-year-old female student in a boys restroom at Booker High School on Wednesday. Durham Police Seek Black Suspect In Fatal Hit-And-Run Which Left A Young White Woman Dead  DURHAM, N.C. -- A flowered cross sitting along the Gregson Street near Monmouth Avenue now serves as a memorial for 21-year-old Jenna Clayton. The young Durham woman, described by family members as compassionate and the clown of her family, planned to become a pediatric nurse and was working as a nurse's assistant at a Hospital. She was engaged to be married this month. But on the way home from an overnight shift at the hospital on Nov. 5, everything ended. Clayton was the victim of a hit-and-run. The driver fled the scene. Clayton later died at Duke University Hospital. It's a big hole in my heart," said Clayton's mother, Mary, who said the loss is unbearable. "My life -- our lives will never be the same." Witnesses told police the driver got out of his car and simply walked away. "He T-boned her to one side and the tree got her to the other side," Mary Clayton said. "(He) had to have known she was hurt terribly bad." Police found evidence inside the car that identified Tyson Antonio Marrow as the driver. Kareem Jamal Petty Found Guilty in Murder of White Grandmother Gloria Peloquin * Widower: Guilty Verdict "A Blessing"  Almost two years ago, Gloria Peloquin of Savannah was shot and killed while she was shopping at a grocery store at Waters Avenue and Montgomery Cross Road. Today her family is feeling some justice after a jury convicted a teenager for her murder. After a day and a half of deliberation, the jury found Kareem Jamal Petty guilty of three different charges including felony murder and aggravated assault. As you can imagine, it was a very emotional day for all parties involved. White Clinton Man Fatally Shot During Home Invasion by Black Neighbor  CLINTON, Mo. -- A robbery at a home ended in murder. 25-year-old Damon Womble was in his new home and was still unpacking when a man knocked on his door. An armed man wearing a ski mask forced his way into the house and demanded money. Womble tried to grab the gun and was shot and killed. The intruder didn't get any money, but he left with a small hand-held video game. Police arrested 19-year-old Joshua Rudolph. He was charged with second-degree murder. Jury Returns Guilty Verdict for Black Youth who murdered White aspiring country music star for $10   It was the shocking murder of a young man hoping to become a country music star. Kris Carlyle was shot and killed in front of his mother and sister last July when they stopped to ask for directions. After deliberating for nine hours over the past couple of days, the jury found Twain Vaughn guilty on all counts. Sentencing for homicide and aggravated robbery will take place in 30 days. The 16 year old will face life with possibility of parole for the first degree felony murder charge. “It’s still not good enough. It’s just not good enough. His mother can still see him. His mother can talk to him. She can go and see him when she wants. I’ll never see my son again. Never hear his voice,” said the victim’s mother Kathy Smith. - (Tyrone N. Police: Man Allegedly Attacked, Raped Essex Woman Police are seeking the public's help finding a man who allegedly attacked and raped a woman in an apartment. Police said Obijha Bushae Robinson was charged with second-degree rape. Robinson s wanted in an attack on a woman on Nov. 11. According to the 20-year-old victim, she had been out with some friends on Nov. 10. She told police she returned to the apartment she shares with another woman and fell asleep. The victim said sometime in the middle of the night, she woke up in her bed to find a man forcing sex on her. She was unable to resist, but told a relative about the attack, and police were called. - (White Boy) - (crime) |
