• Finland: Somali teens jailed for violent mugging of a young girl and boy - accused of sexual assault
  Three youths sentenced to prison terms over series of muggings in Helsinki. In a case involving a series of robberies in downtown Helsinki last autumn, the Helsinki District Court sentenced three young men to prison terms on Friday for the violent mugging of a young girl and boy.
  The 18-year-olds Abdiasis Mohamed Abdullahi and Ahmed Yusuf Ahmad, of Somali origin, both received prison sentences of two years and two months for aggravated robbery. One of them was convicted for the mugging of the girl, and the other for the robbery involving the boy.
  Another 17-year-old youngster of Somali origin was sentenced to two years in prison for the same muggings. The court found him guilty of participating in two aggravated robberies while being under age. While they were sitting on a park bench, a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were assaulted and robbed. The offenders had demanded that they give them their money and mobile phones. The haul also included a CD player/recorder and one disc. The girl also told of having been sexually assaulted. The incident had involved brutal and cruel violence, as it was demonstrated that while they were lying on the ground the victims had been kicked in the head. - (-88-)

• UK: Heroin addict Amer Khan burgled a severely disabled 85-year-old woman’s home
  Once inside, he spotted a flat door open and found Doris Pengilley, who has severe osteoarthritis, severely impaired sight and hearing and can only walk with a walking aid, sitting in a chair. But when she told him to leave, he went into her bedroom and searched through her drawers before her son arrived and caught him leaving the room. • South Africa: Belgian student ready to face alleged gang rapists
  A 17-year-old Belgian exchange student says she will return to Soweto to testify against five men who allegedly gang-raped, robbed and assaulted her. The five accused - Sibusiso Mkhize, 19, Wandile Dondolo, 25, Moeketsie Mokoena, 25, Mandla Dlamini, 25 and Xolani Liduke, 24, - have not denied that the teen was raped in the house that night. A medical report has revealed that the girl suffered "traumatic penetration" during the assault. Nel said the teenager also had severe gynaecological and physical injuries. - (-88-) - (Africa)
  
 
• UK: Dark-skinned man bailed in serial rapes probe
  Four women, all in their early 20s and visitors to the capital, were assaulted after becoming separated from friends in London's West End. In the latest assault, a woman was raped on Thursday. The three previous attacks, which stretch back to October, have seen two women raped and another subjected to an attempted rape.  He is described as having a dark-skinned appearance, is around 6ft to 6ft 2in in height, in his late 20s and has short dark hair. - (UK)

• UK: Boy held at gunpoint in homosex attack
  Police are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a schoolboy at gunpoint.The 11-year-old victim and another boy, aged nine, were approached by the man close to their homes at about 4pm on Friday. Officers  said the man, who was riding a small motorbike or moped, pulled up alongside the youngsters as they were walking home. He pointed a weapon at them before grabbing the older boy and subjecting him to a serious assault.

  West Yorkshire Police are searching for two men in connection with Pc Beshenivsky's murder and took the unusual step of naming the suspects as 24-year-old Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah and 25-year-old Mustaf Jamma. Pc Beshenivsky, 38, was gunned down as she investigated a robbery at a travel agent's in Bradford city centre on November 18.Her colleague Pc Teresa Milburn, 37, was seriously injured in the same incident.  KILLERS LAUGHED AS THEY SHOT COP  - (-88-)

• UK: 3 Iraqi asylum seekers gang-rape 25 year-old woman
  THREE Iraqi asylum seekers who sexually brutalised a woman of 25 were each jailed for eight years yesterday - after being told a kiss was "not a licence to rape".   Star Ahmad, Mohedin Amin and Sahid Sherwan were condemned as "abominable" by Judge Michael Heath, who recommended they be deported at the end of their sentences.  The trio subjected their "devastated" victim to a horrific ordeal after she got into their car - wrongly thinking it was a taxi - as she left a nightspot "merry" but not drunk.   A row has broken out after a teenager was banned from wearing a crucifix at a school where Sikhs can carry ceremonial daggers. Sam Morris, 16, was reportedly sent home from Sinfin Community School, Derby, after she refused to remove a gold cross on a necklace. She was told wearing a crucifix was not compulsory for Christians, so the necklace breached dress codes.   A MUSLIM caretaker who taught children about the Qu'ran has been jailed for six years after sexually abusing two of his young pupils. Amir Qasim  - nicknamed the Holy man on a bike - was employed by a number of families to teach children about his religion. He was given the nickname as he used a pushbike to get to his pupils homes.   Radical Islam is finding new recruits in the Netherlands among Dutch converts to Islam and young Muslim women, the government said. "Along with Muslim youths of foreign descent, several Dutch converts are undergoing a particular process of radicalisation. • UK: Homosexual teacher raped young boys
  A QUEER PAEDOPHILE who worked as the head of care at a special school in Amersham was sentenced on Monday to ten years imprisonment for sex offences against young boys. Anthony Lawrence Bulley, 39, who lived and worked at Stony Dean school has pleaded guilty to the rape of two boys and a string of other child sex offences. Bulley lured the boys into his flat by striking up conversations about trophies and girlfriends. Bulley admitted six charges against four boys and was sentenced to ten years in jail.
