(Black) Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of 13-Year-Old Met On Myspace A north suburban man who was caught having sex with a 13-year-old girl he met on Myspace is being held in the Cook County Jail after being charged with sexual assault. Steve Burton, 20, of the 1800 block of California Avenue in North Chicago, is charged with one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Burton admitted in a written statement that he knew the victim was 12 when they met online, and that they had engaged in sex acts on at least four other occasions. - (Newsroom) - (Black rapes) |
(Black) Bronx minister indicted on rape charges for sex with girl - starting when she was 12 The pervy pastor of a Bronx church was charged with rape for repeatedly having sex with a girl from his flock - starting when she was 12, prosecutors said. Michael Clare, the 38-year-old married leader of the Harvest Worship Center in Wakefield, allegedly impregnated the girl, who is now 15, court documents said. Authorities learned of the abuse in June, when the girl told her parents and police that Clare had sexually preyed on her for years. DNA evidence implicated Clare, prosecutors said. Rhodes, 16, of Shelter Street was charged with first-degree rape, a felony, said Rochester Police Officer Stephen Scott. (Black) Bay Minette man convicted of rape A Baldwin County jury on Wednesday convicted a Bay Minette man of raping a 24-year-old woman at a city park in 2008. Testimony began Tuesday and wrapped up Wednesday afternoon with a jury finding Joe Nathan Thomas, 30, guilty of first-degree rape. Suit: Probation Office Failed to Monitor (black) Sex Offender The Hyde Park family of a 13-year-old girl filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday against not only her alleged attacker, but also the Cook County Adult Probation Department. The suit claims that 34-year-old Acurie Collier should have been behind bars when he allegedly broke into a South Side home last July and sexually assaulted the teenaged girl. The girl's mother, who wished to remain anonymous to protect the identity of her daughter, said she walked in immediately after the assault and restrained Collier for 45 minutes until police arrived and took him into custody. - (Newsroom) - (Black rapes) |
(Black) Serial Rape Suspect Convicted - rape in cemetery A man who prosecutors said raped eight women in Arlington dating back to 2000 was found guilty in one of the rape cases. A jury took less than an hour after a two-day trial to convict James Steel on three counts of sexual battery. Florida Department of Law Enforcement forensic analysts testified that Steel's DNA was found at a cemetery where prosecutors said he raped the woman in this case in 2008. Georgia executes (black) man convicted of murder and rape of White woman Georgia executed by lethal injection late on Tuesday a convicted rapist and murderer who abducted a preschool teacher after her car ran out of gas and shot her in the head. Emmanuel Hammond, 45, died at central Georgia's Diagnostic and Classification Prison at 11:39 p.m. local time, according to a prisons spokeswoman. Julie Love, 27, was engaged to be married at the time of her death in 1988. Hammond abducted her in Atlanta after her car ran out of fuel at night. He first tried to strangle her and then shot her with a sawed-off shotgun, according to court testimony. Two St. Petersburg Police Officers killed by black Although there have been several law officers killed in the act of duty in the Tampa Bay area over the past several years, the St. Petersburg Police Department has not had to deal with such a situation since 1980. But that changed this morning at 7:15 when two officers (still not identified) were shot and killed by suspect Hydra Lacy Jr., who was being served a U.S. Marshal’s warrant through a fugitive task force. (Black) Soccer coach admits to sex abuse involving teen girl, gets 2 years in prison A coach at F.C. Portland Academy, a popular soccer club, resigned abruptly after he was accused of sexually abusing a teen girl in October. Thelonius Fitzgerald Bartlett, 52, had been mentoring a 17-year-old girl for a short time when he began giving her alcohol and marijuana and touching her inappropriately. The team Bartlett coached at the time of his resignation was for 13-year-old girls. The victim had not been one of his players, deputies said. Update: Bartlett was charged in Washington County Circuit Court with five counts of delivering marijuana to a minor, one count of second-degree sex abuse, three counts of third-degree sex abuse and one count of attempted use of a child in a display of sexual conduct. - (Newsroom) - (Black rapes) |
Arlington Police Seek (black) Rape Suspect Arlington Police have named a suspect in a sexual assault case from September. The incident occurred on Sept. 26 on the 2500 block of 20th Road North. Police say Ronald Perry Berton, 36, walked into an apartment through an unlocked front door and found a woman sleeping. He sexually assaulted the woman, stole items from the apartment and then fled the area, according to police. (Black) Man arrested for kidnapping, sex assault Police in Cinnaminson, New Jersey say they have arrested the man responsible for a kidnapping and sexual assault last summer. Jesse J. Wiles, 24, of the 300 block of High Street in Burlington, was arrested on Thursday after being detained by NJ Transit police officers in Camden. Investigators say Wiles picked up a woman along Route 130 back on July 29, 2010 and took her to a local motel. (Black) Suspect in Carlina White Kidnap to Face Judge A North Carolina woman who raised a child snatched from a New York hospital more than two decades ago was scheduled to appear Monday in federal court to face kidnapping charges. Ann Pettway surrendered Sunday morning to the FBI and Bridgeport, Conn., police on a warrant from North Carolina, where she's on probation because of a conviction for attempted embezzlement. She turned herself in days after a widely publicized reunion between the child she raised, now an adult, and her biological mother. Carlina White was just 19 days old when her parents took her to Harlem Hospital in the middle of the night with a high fever. Rochester black pleads not guilty to raping woman outdoors A Rochester man accused of raping a woman last night pleaded not guilty in City Court today. Anthony J. Edwards, 56, was charged with first-degree rape, a felony. He is accused of raping a woman outdoors in downtown Rochester last night. Jury deliberates fate of black U.S. Marine accused of homo raping male TAMU-CC student A jury began deliberations in the trial of a U.S. Marine accused of raping a Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi student. Christopher Williams, 26, is facing two second-degree felony counts of sexual assault related to the Nov. 22, 2009, incident. Williams has said the sex was consensual and that his accuser was the one who came on to him. The accuser, who was 19 at the time, has said he met Williams at a birthday party at a friend's on-campus apartment. He said after the party, which included underage drinking, he fell asleep on a couch and was awoken by Williams. Black Portland woman accused of videotaping sex act with a 1-year-old and e-mailing it to her Marine 24-year-old Portland woman is accused of sexually abusing a 1-year-old child she babysat, videotaping the activity and sending the videos by e-mail to her boyfriend serving in the U.S. Marine Corps overseas. Inez Carmaneesh Mon Lambert, who police say worked as a day-care provider for the Lloyd Center LA Fitness on Northeast Weidler Street, was arraigned on a 21-count felony indictment. She's charged with seven counts each of first-degree sodomy, first-degree sex abuse and using a child in the display of sexually-explicit conduct and is being held on $5.25 million bail. Stinky black arrested in rape at public bathroom of Oklahoma City hotel Police arrested a Juan Josquin Wilson after a woman said she was attacked and raped Tuesday in the public bathroom of a downtown Oklahoma City hotel. The victim, who was crying uncontrollably and shaking when officers arrived, reported she saw a black man about 30 years old standing in the bathroom when she came out of a stall. Black White Plains man charged with trying to rape college student A White Plains man has been arraigned on a seven count indictment in connection with alleged attempt to rape a female student in her dormitory room at Purchase College in Harrison. Dante Beamon, 26, of White Plains, who is not a student at the college and did not know his victim, walked into her dorm room at 1:30 in the morning on November 13, 2010. He demanded that she remove her clothing so that he could have sex with her. The woman repeatedly told the man to leave, but he refused. Jury in rape of 92-year-old by black recommends 85 year prison term A 21-year-old man who raped a 92-year-old Leawood woman claimed he was too drunk and high on Ecstasy to mean to commit the crimes, but a jury didn’t buy it. Jurors found that Simon Angilda of Grandview committed the crimes with enough aggravating circumstances to justify more than 85 years in prison — about double the maximum sentence. On Friday, the same jury convicted Angilda of 14 counts related to the June 29 crime spree that included the sexual assault. Black woman arrested for kidnap, murder and burning of body of 12-year-old White boy Police say a 44-year-old woman charged with capital murder in the kidnapping and death of a 12-year-old Houston boy admitted to discarding a body, but said she didn’t kill the child. Mona Yvette Nelson, a maintenance worker for several area apartment complexes, was arrested and charged on Wednesday. Investigators believe she kidnapped, killed and burned the body of Jonathan Foster on Christmas Eve. Foster had been left alone at his mother’s apartment while she and her roommate worked that day.
