Black killer of Jewish Hollywood woman - police investigation continues - 'Random act' - (not hate crime)  Despite a major break in the slaying of Ronni Chasen slaying investigation, questions remain about exactly what happened, and Beverly Hills police said the investigation is continuing. Authorities said they believe a Hollywood man shot Chasen during botched robbery and that he acted alone. One thing is clear: preliminary ballistics tests showed the handgun that Harold Martin Smith used to shoot himself in the head in the lobby of a Hollywood apartment building was the same weapon that killed Chasen on Nov. 16 as she drove her Mercedes-Benz sedan along Sunset Boulevard after a film premiere. - (Newsroom) |
Police find black accused of rape one year later – Forty-one-year-old Napoleon Lockhart is now in custody after police say he was wanted in connection with a December 2009 rape at Manor House Apartments. A Forrest City woman said she was approached by him in December and was taken by knife point to the apartments where she was raped. Detectives with the Forrest City Police Department were quickly able to identify Lockhart and issued a warrant for his arrest. James Safo, 62, 'controlled, degraded and systematically sexually abused the victim', Croydon Crown Court was told. Judge Simon Pratt said the attacks constituted a grave ‘abuse of power’ and was ‘one of the most serious cases of rape I have ever dealt with’. Black St. Paul Taxi Driver Abdikadir Yusef Mohamed Arrested for Attempted Rape, Kidnapping  St. Paul police have arrested a taxi driver for the attempted rape and kidnapping of a female passenger. Police arrested 23-year-old Abdikadir Yusef Mohamed. The 26-year-old victim told police the incident happened after Mohamed picked her up in a taxi for a fare around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in downtown St. Paul. The woman asked the driver if she could smoke in the cab and he told her she could smoke only in the front seat.When the woman got into the front seat, the suspect began touching her inappropriately and attempted to rape her. Huntsville black convicted on rape, sodomy charges involving child under 12 Jurors deliberated just more than hour before convicting a Huntsville man of rape and sodomy stemming from a Halloween 2007 attack on an 11-year-old girl. Zephrus Strickland, 25, showed no emotion as the verdict was read. Because the crimes involved a victim under 12, Alabama law requires Strickland's sentence to be a minimum of 20 years per charge and up to life in prison. - (Newsroom) - (Black rapes) |
Black sex offender accused of daytime rape Police have arrested a 38-year-old registered sex offender in connection with the Nov. 29 rape of a 21-year-old Dove Street woman. Keith Dare was charged with rape, burglary, robbery and endangering the welfare of a child. Police say Dare was arrested at 10 a.m. Wednesday outside his house. He was connected to the rape through DNA evidence. Dare is a Level 3 sex offender in New York. Black Newport News rape counselor/minister charged with raping woman A 57-year-old Newport News counselor and minister was charged with rape. Edwin Benjamin Rosette Sr., was arrested after being interviewed at police headquarters. The 19-year-old victim was not in the area when she reported the incident but has returned, according to police, who say they have investigated Rosette since earlier this year. Rosette listed his occupation as being an ordained minister and a rape crisis counselor, with work also in juvenile crisis, at-risk juveniles and family issues. - (Newsroom) - (Black rapes) |
High court denies appeal of black mentally retarded man who helped rape, kill Arlington teen The U.S. Supreme Court has turned away the appeal of an Arkansas man who helped kidnap, rape and bury an Arlington teen alive in 1993, although a federal judge said evidence shows that he is mentally retarded. The high court banned the death penalty for the mentally retarded eight years ago. In their ruling today, the justices offered no comment in rejecting the appeal of Bruce Carneil Webster. Black purse-snatcher - Area women urged to be vigilant  Robbery squad detectives say a purse snatching in Baldwin yesterday, Nov. 30, around 7 p.m., matches a pattern of crimes that have played out in the area over the last month. According to detectives, the 56-year-old victim, female, was in her driveway exiting her vehicle when a male black grabbed her from behind. The subject attempted to take the victim’s handbag off her shoulder, but fled the scene on foot after she resisted. |
Reward offered for black Largo shooting suspect's capture - suspect surrenders - no bail  A $1,000 reward was being offered for information leading to the arrest of a suspected killer. Police are still looking for Larry Joe Jerry Jr., who they say drove up to the Rainbow Food Mart on East Bay Drive Tuesday morning and shot at several women who were walking inside. One of them, (black) 26-year-old Annie Marie Conyers, was hit and later died. |

Black convicted of rape though DNA matching Cleveland man guilty Friday of rape and kidnapping in a 2003 case that linked to him through DNA matching. Trevor Bolton, 30, faces a maximum of 26 1/2 years in prison for his conviction in the May 7, 2003 incident where he broke into the East 121st Street home of a 22-year-old Cleveland woman and raped her at gunpoint. Feds: Somali-born Muslim terrorist plotted car-bombing in Oregon Federal agents arrested a Somali-born teenager just as he tried blowing up a van he believed was loaded with explosives at a crowded Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland. The bomb was an elaborate fake supplied by the agents and the public was never in danger, authorities said. Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, was arrested just after he dialed a cell phone that he thought would set off the blast but instead brought federal agents and police swooping down on him. Black Former Cleveland Christian Home employee with HIV accused of raping teen boy A 34-year-old Brooklyn man who is HIV-positive is accused of raping a 17-year-old boy he met in 2007 at the Cleveland Christian Home on Lorain Avenue. Ronnie Sagere worked at the home from June 2006 through Nov. 19, when he was fired, Director Dave Lundeen said. Sagere is charged with rape, gross sexual imposition, kidnapping and felonious assault. New Orleans black is indicted in 17-year-old rape Seventeen years have gone by since a woman was terrorized at a New Orleans intersection by a man who stopped her by firing a bullet through her car window and then drove her to two different locations where he raped her repeatedly. Black Muncie teen charged as adult in school rape A 16-year-old accused of raping a fellow student at Muncie Central High School learned in court Monday morning that he is being charged as an adult.
According to police, a 16-year-old girl told officers Steven Moore pulled her in the boy's restroom and attacked her two weeks ago.
Instead of calling authorities, Muncie police say the school held the girl in an office for two hours and then sent Moore home.

Hampton man dies after he and his wife attacked in home by pack of four blacks  Police made four arrests in a home invasion that left one man dead.
The suspects forced entry into the home and attacked the couple, a 60-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman, who were living at the residence. The suspects punched and strangled the victims, then stole both of the victims’ vehicles and fled the scene.
The suspects are 20-year-old Anthony Darius Odella, Jr. of Hampton, 18-year-old Torian Marquise Gaither of Newport News, 22-year-old Robin Nadean Gaither of Newport News, and 19-year-old Ashley Michelle Odellas of Hampton.

DA will seek capital charges in 1996 rape-murder of 13-year-old White girl by black beast  A charge against a suspect arraigned last month in the 1996 rape and strangulation death of a Texas City girl is expected to be upgraded to capital murder. The case, 14 years in the making, against Kevin Edison Smith, 45, also is expected to be presented to a grand jury later this month. A registered sex offender was arrested on suspicion of raping a 2-year-old girl in a Dollar Tree store as her relatives were Christmas shopping in the next aisle, police said Thursday. 
A man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly raped a heavily medicated patient at University Hospital over the weekend. Police say 30-year-old Tishawn Walker was a patient at University Hospital on the same floor as the victim. Police say Walker got into the victim's hospital room on Nov. 27 while the victim was asleep due to being heavily medicated. Walker then climbed into the victim's bed and raped her, according to court records. 
She told of how - when she was 12 - Tyrone Wiggins allegedly began raping her regularly at the recreation center, at her home, at his house.

DNA evidence connects Fletcher Anderson Worrell to 8 other rapes - The man who police and prosecutors believe was the "Silver Spring Rapist" has been sentenced in Maryland to life in prison. And that sentence will not begin until he completes prison sentences for other rapes in New York and in New Jersey. A Silver Spring woman testified at Worrell's trial that in 1991, she was sleeping in a bed with her then-seven-year-old-son when she was accosted in the middle of the night by a man armed with a knife. She told the jury her rapist threatened to "slit the throat" of her son unless she cooperated. DNA evidence left by the rapist led police to Worrell, who had been convicted of one rape in New York and two rapes in New Jersey. DNA also connects Worrell to eight other area rapes, and prosecutors suspect he is the assailant in at least 21 Maryland cases.
