Black guilty of raping and murdering 88-year old Alma Strasner Her life came to a violent end in her own home. Now, a quarter of a century later, Alma Strasner's killer will face justice. Edward Richardson pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of 89-year-old Alma Strasner. It was back in the spring of 1984 when the elderly widow caught him breaking into her home on Willowlawn Street. Police say he raped her and severely beat her. She never regained conciousness and died a few weeks later. The brutal and senseless crime remained a mystery for years, until Buffalo's Cold Case squad pulled the file containing DNA evidence from the scene. - (Newsroom) |
Camden Negro accused of raping Md. woman A 40-year-old Camden man is awaiting extradition to the state to face charges he kidnapped and raped a Maryland woman late Friday in a Dover motel. Warrants have been issued for the arrest of DeAngelo Hoskins on charges of burglary, assault, kidnapping and rape, Hoskins is accused of slipping through an unlocked window at the Super Lodge Motel late Friday and attacking a sleeping woman. Hoskins repeatedly raped the woman through the night into the next morning, police said. Then he forced her to drive him to Maryland. Hoskins also demanded the woman give him money so he could flee to Virginia. - (Newsroom) |
Police arrest New Orleans Negro wanted for attempted rape, aggravated burglary New Orleans police have arrested Christopher Cyrus, who was wanted on attempted rape and aggravated burglary charges. According to investigator's, Christopher Cyrus used a handgun to try to rob three homes in the neighborhood near North Carrollton and Orleans Avenue on Jan. 20. Police also say Cyrus tried to rape two women. Cyrus allegedly attacked a victim on Maurepass Street after gaining entry into the home. Armed with just a beer bottle, investigators say he tried to rape the victim. However, she bit Cyrus on the hand, causing him to flee the home. Cyrus also allegedly tried to rape another woman, who was sleeping in her home on Taft Street. He entered the home through the window. He tried to grab her and restrain her, but she was able to break free and escape through the window. - (Newsroom) |

Black guilty of raping 8-year-old in Leland A black pleaded guilty to raping an 8-year-old-girl and failing to register as a sex offender. Marcus Golston, who is in his late 30s, pleaded guilty to second-degree rape and was sentenced to nine and a half to 12 years in prison. Golston also pleaded guilty to failure to register as a sex offender. He will now be required to register as a sex offender and be subject to GPS satellite monitoring for the rest of his life. This was not Golston's first sex offense. He was dishonorably discharged from the military for sex offense with a girl under the age of 16 in 1996. - (Newsroom) |
Black executed for killing his stepmother was suspect in Cleveland killings A Cleveland man suspected of being a serial killer was executed Thursday in Texas and again denied killing three local women. Reginald Perkins, 53, was suspected in the deaths of three Cleveland women in the 1980s on the East Side. The women were strangled three months apart, all in homes just a half-mile west of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Each woman had a connection to Perkins. - (Newsroom) |
Black Georgia Teen Gets Life Plus 110 years for Burglary, Rape A Georgia teen convicted of nine burglaries and the rape of a 15-year-old girl was sentenced to life in prison plus 110 years. Darrian Bryant was 17 when he was arrested for the crimes two years ago. Prosecutors charged Bryant in connection with nine daytime burglaries in Stone Mountain between June 2006 and March 2007; one of the break-ins involved the brutal rape of a 15-year-old girl. The girl was attacked after getting off the school bus and entering her home alone on March 28, 2007. She said that a masked man put a bag over her head, bound her arms and legs and raped her, - (Newsroom) |
Black ex-footballer charged with rape Former Michigan cornerback James Lavell Whitley has been charged with sexually assaulting a 31-year-old woman. Police say the woman told officers Whitley assaulted her Sunday at a friend’s apartment in Pittsfield Township. 13-year-old gang raped by 6 blacks - Third black booked  A third man has been booked for the rape of a 13-year-old girl from Lacombe after meeting up with two men she met on a telephone party line, St. Bernard Sheriff Jack Stephens said in a statement. Louis Ceaser Jr., 35, Chalmette, is being held in the parish prison in lieu of a $200,000 on an aggravated rape charge after being identified by the girl. Police arrested two Meraux men, Cornell “Duke” Young and Gabriel Nelson on aggravated rape charges, police said. Both are still in parish prison in lieu of $200,000 bonds, police said. The girl claimed as many as six men raped her in a Chalmette apartment, as detectives are continuing to try and identify other suspects. - (Newsroom) |
Charlotte black accused in four '90s rapes in neighborhood A man who police say broke into women's Myers Park homes at night and raped them has been arrested, a break in some cases nearly 20 years old. Gilbert McNair was charged with four counts of rape between 1990 and 1997. The victims, between 21 and 28, told officers McNair entered their homes and attacked them. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and the State Bureau of Investigation collected DNA from each of the victims and determined that it was from the same man – but they didn't know who it was. - (Newsroom) |
Black indicted for laundromat rape-murder, 2 other rapes WHITE PLAINS - A Westchester grand jury indicted a Yonkers man today on charges that he raped and murdered a woman at a Yonkers laundromat last month, the Westchester County District Attorney's office said. The grand jury also indicted 31-year-old Walter Maddox in connection with two other brutal rapes in Yonkers last summer. Maddox is accused of the Dec. 8 slaying of Roberta Galicia-Lagos inside the Yonkers Laundromat where she worked part-time cleaning the business early in the morning. - (Newsroom) |
U.K. Three blacks jailed for caustic soda rape of 16-year-old girl Three men have been jailed for raping a 16-year-old girl in an attack in which caustic soda was thrown on her. The girl, who has learning difficulties, was lured into a north London flat and repeatedly raped. Rogel McMorris, 18, from Tottenham, north London, was jailed for nine years for rape and grievous bodily harm. Jason Brew, 19, from Tottenham, was jailed for six years and Hector Muaimba, 20, from Walthamstow, was given eight years for rape and robbery. - (Newsroom) - (UK) |

Two men and one teen suspected in the gang rape of a lesbian in the San Francisco area have pleaded not guilty. They are accused of taunting a twenty-eight year old lesbian, repeatedly raping her and leaving her naked outside an abandoned apartment building in Richmond, California. The woman was attacked on December 13 as she got out of her car, which bore a rainbow sicker, a symbol of gay pride. The four alledgedly taunted the woman about being a lesbian, then one struck her with a blunt object as she crossed the street, instructed her to remove her clothing and raped her while the other men held her down.
