Black arrested for murder of white teen highschool girl in her bedroom   Portsmouth police announced they had arrested 17-year-old Robert Lee Barnes in the slaying of Meghan Landowski, a Woodrow Wilson High School student whose April 10 death at home in the middle of the afternoon had shocked and scared her peers and the community. He climbed in a bedroom window, bound Landowski and stabbed her with a knife several times, then left on foot. The teen bled to death. - (Newsroom) - (Black-on-white) |
White Prison Employee murdered by three blacks    Stockton police have announced the arrests of three people, allegedly connected to Wednesday's killing of a federal prison employee. Police also say the motive appears to be robbery. "Mr. Rutledge was in the wrong place at the wrong time," said Stockton police spokesman Pete Smith. "The killing was senseless." Smith said shortly after Michael Rutledge, 35, was killed, his stolen credit cards were used at nearby gas stations and convenience stores. Late Wednesday afternoon, the suspects were located in south Stockton and arrested. They are Gerell Whatley, 19; Joel Lewis, 19 and Delisa Bryant, 40. Rutledge worked in food service since 2000 at the Federal Correctional Institution women's prison in Alameda County. Black Jacksonville man gets life for rape, murder of blind woman A convicted child abuser was sentenced today to life in prison for the rape and murder last year of a blind Jacksonville woman in her apartment. Jermaine David Wilson, 24, previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and sexual battery and faced 30 years to life. He told police he strangled Dominique Harden in her Westmont Street apartment after she refused sex. He was the boyfriend of her best friend, said Assistant State Attorney Bernie de la Rionda. - (Newsroom) Raped at 14, mother at 16, blind at 18, murdered at 21 |
Last 2 men sentenced in attack on paraplegic  Two men who took part in the 2007 beating and robbery of a Redlands paraplegic man were each sentenced Friday to four years in prison. Richard Lance McGee ('gay') (at left) and Seyyed Hadi Mirlohi were the last of four defendants, all from Riverside, to be sentenced for the April 22, 2007, crime. Both pleaded guilty in August to home invasion robbery, dependent adult abuse and theft from a dependent adult. They could have faced up to 12 years in prison if they had gone to trial on all six charges, which included false imprisonment of a dependent adult, assault and conspiracy.
The attackers burst into the Redlands apartment of Steven Kile, 31, threw him from his wheelchair, beat him and stole his electronics, including a device that Kile, who cannot speak, uses for communication. They had met Kile through the Internet.
In a statement read by his sister, Erica Guilliam, in a San Bernardino courtroom before the sentencing, Kile said he remains angry about what happened to him and struggled for months to put his life back together. "The defendants are cowards and gutless," he said. "I will not forgive any of them. And I will not accept (any) of their apologies." - (Newsroom) McGee said the incident did not represent his true character and compared his orientation as a gay man. Georgia plans to execute a black death row inmate today for the 1989 murder of a White police officer  The 1989 shooting took place at about 1 a.m. outside a Burger King near the bus station in Savannah. Davis, Sylvester "Red" Coles, and a teenager were threatening a homeless man who refused to share his beer with them. At one point, Davis struck the homeless man in the head. Amid the commotion, Mark Allen MacPhail an off-duty police officer who was still in his police uniform arrived on the scene. Davis ran. The police officer took chase. At some point, shots were fired and the officer fell to the pavement. Witnesses said Troy Anthony Davis walked back to the police officer and shot him again at close range. Antun Lewis denies setting fire that killed eight children and a woman The man accused of killing nine people -- eight of them children -- in Cleveland's deadliest house fire says he didn't do it. Antun Lewis said he would never would harm the children he cared so much about. In a letter to the Associated Press, Lewis said he looked out for the children who died in the fire May 21, 2005, on East 87th Street. Relatives of the victims scoffed at Lewis claim, saying they expected as much given that Lewis could face the death penalty if convicted. - (Newsroom) |

Mother's (Black) Boyfriend Charged With Infant's Death Police have made an arrest in the death of a Liberty City infant. Watson Dorval, 24, has been charged with second-degree murder. Dorval was reportedly watching his girlfriend's children at the time of the incident. The 7-month-old infant and another child were rushed to the hospital Tuesday, but the infant died on the way. According to the medical examiner, the baby died of blunt trauma injuries due to being struck multiple times. - (Newsroom) |
(Black) Home Invasion Suspect Sentenced to 80 Years in Prison * Two Arrested In Home Invasion  A man accused of beating and robbing a 73-year-old disabled man was sentenced to 80 years in prison Thursday. The victim, George Harlan, said he was overwhelmed with emotion while sitting in the courtroom, only feet away from his attacker. "I was angry," Harlan said. "Angry, angry, angry. The attorney had to keep me from losing it." The suspect, 23-year-old Joe Lewis Landrum and a female accomplice, broke into the elderly man's home in February, according to police. - (Newsroom) |
Police Search For (Black) Man Who Tried To Abduct 12-Year-Old Girl Police in Miami-Dade County are searching for a man who tried to abduct a 12-year-old girl. The attempted armed abduction happened on Thursday at about 8 a.m. near Southwest 288th Street and 152nd Avenue. The wanted man is described as being between 25 and 32 years old with a muscular build, brown eyes, black hair and gold teeth. The man has three moles on his right ear, a tattoo in old English lettering on his left forearm and light discoloration on his right arm, police said, and he was wearing a gold chain with a Jesus charm. - (Newsroom) |
