Shonda Walter, who is black, is accused of hatchet murder of 83-year-old James Sementelli, who was a White WWII veteran He survived the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, now, more than sixty years later, he's a murder victim. Shonda Walter was charged last year with killing her 83-year-old neighbor with a hatchet and stealing his car and some $500 in quarters. Police allege Shonda Walter killed James Sementelli, 83, 17 N. Rape Suspect Could Be Tied to Other Cases Detecitves say a Sandy man charged with rape could be tied to other unsolved rape cases.
Prosecutors charged 27-year old Azlen Marchet yesterday. Sandy Police say the victim is a woman he met at a club. She told police Marchet asked her out on a date then raped her at his home.
Now Salt Lake City Police are going through old cases trying to find any similarities.

Car buyer charged in rape of seller A 32-year-old Houston man who purchased a car from a woman through a newspaper ad has been charged with raping her after the sale. After they arrived at his house, Williams put a sheet on the floor and allegedly forced her to have sex with him. Walter D. Williams was committed to Delaware Correctional Center on charges of first-degree rape, unlawful imprisonment, two counts of unlawful sexual contact, maintaining a dwelling for drug sales, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. |
Reginald Andre Wright stands accused of raping two 13-year-old girls Reginald Andre Wright stands accused of raping two 13-year-old girls, and both cases are now headed for the grand jury. Both incidents happened in Centreville homes. According to police, the first one took place in the home of the alleged victim. As a result, Wright was charged on Feb. 10 with carnal knowledge of a minor — also known as statutory rape. The Jan. 29 incident involved the Lorton girl, who was spending the night at a Centreville friend's home — not far from Wright's residence. While she was there, say police, Wright also visited the home overnight. |
School Custodian Charged With Having Sex With Student Adam Eugene Smith of Hillsborough is charged with 11 counts of felony sex offense. Investigators believe he had sex with a student at Cedar Ridge High School. Smith was arrested Tuesday and was released after promising to appear in court April 22. Smith started with Orange County schools as a bus driver in August 2001 and became a school custodian in March 2003. Carjacking, Rape Victim Speaks Out - Oklahoma City Police Still Searching For Woman's Black Attacker The victim, whose identity has been protected in this story, was carjacked March 21 in an area near Council Road and Reno Avenue. Her attacker forced her to drive to Lake Overholser, where he raped her, before returning her to the same area where he abducted her. She now has to be tested for HIV every three months for the next several years. The man is described as a black man in his early 30s who is 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. The man has short black hair, a mustache and a stubble beard, and his left front tooth is missing, police said. |
Girl, 15, Killed For Refusing Kiss (AP) For Elisa Hernandez, no meant no — and a tragic death at age 15. When a frustrated (negro) named Alfred Bishop asked her for a kiss, she refused him. Again and again, he asked. She said no. When he pulled out a revolver and pointed at her head, she pushed it away. "She laughed him off," Atlantic County Prosecutor Jeffrey Blitz said. Sports: South Africa: Orlando Pirates star Benedict Vilikazi to stand trial on charges of raping a 15-year-old girl Benedict Vilakazi, the Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates star, will stand trial on rape charges. The rape charges against him have not been dropped, as speculated in a newspaper earlier this month. Vilakazi appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court today where the matter was set down for trial on July 6 and 7. A 15-year-old girl alleges that Vilakazi raped her in the bathroom of her home. - (more sports) |

Hispanic nursing aide at St. Mary's fired for fondling female patients The state of Wisconsin filed charges against a recently fired nursing aide, Michael Reveles, for second degree sexual assault. It was later that St. Mary's administrations learned that Reveles was accused of improperly touching patients when he worked at UW Hospital. St. Mary's did contact UW Hospital for a reference check, but human resources never learned of the prior allegations. - (White Boy) |

Black Suspect Arrested in Shooting Death of White Wachovia Bank Employee Virginia Beach police have arrested a man suspected of killing a manager at a Virginia Beach Wachovia Bank last week. Theodore Vincent Carter, 43, was arrested at his home and charged with first-degree murder and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Police say Carter walked into the Wachovia Bank last Friday and shot 58-year-old Thomas Joseph Laurendeau. Laurendeau, hit several times, died at the scene. No one else in the bank was injured. Police said Carter made no attempt to rob the bank. Authorities are still unclear on a motive for the shooting. - (Brewski) |
