Police: African Migrant Male Nurse Wanted Elderly Patient 'To Suffer A licensed practical nurse in Montgomery County, who is trusted to care for the elderly, has been arrested after being accused of causing harm to one of his patients. Abiodun Oke worked at the Arista Care at Meadow Springs in Plymouth Meeting. According to court documents, Oke was taking care of an 81-year-old female patient at the facility who suffered from dementia, pneumonia and who has a tracheotomy. The facility has a visual and audible alarm that goes off when a patient's ventilator becomes detached. Carl Coleman, 38, was arrested for burglary, attempted rape and criminal confinement The victim claims that on September 14 Carlson broke into her apartment and took her phone away when someone tried to call her. It’s been 20 years since police said a 22-year-old woman was approached at a bus stop near Dixie Highway by a man with a knife who drove her to a house where he raped and sodomized her. Thursday, LMPD’s Sex Crimes Unit announced the indictment and arrest of a man they said was responsible for that crime and two other rapes that occurred eight and 10 years ago. Police seek dreadlocked black in rape of woman at West Baltimore home City police are searching for a man who they said broke into a West Baltimore home, struck a woman in the head with a baseball bat and then raped her at knifepoint. Authorities released a computer-generated sketch of a possible suspect described as a medium to dark-complexioned black male in his early 20s with a slim build and standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall. Fifth sexual assault tied to black postal worker  A fifth sexual assault is now attributed to a former Chicago postal worker. Tommie J. Naylor is charged with the kidnapping and rape of a 16-year-old girl last November, The girl was forced into a car on the 6100 block of South Rockwell. Police say Naylor was with two other assailants who have yet to be identified. Police recently got DNA results from the attack on the teen and matched them to Naylor. Black Virginia Beach rape suspect jailed on unrelated charge A man suspected in two Oceanfront rapes has been jailed on unrelated charges but will go before a grand jury on the rape charges on Oct. 5, prosecutors in Virginia Beach said yesterday. Christopher Minifee, a 29-year-old Chesapeake resident, was in circuit court on Thursday on charges of failure to appear in court and resisting arrest. At his bond hearing, prosecutors told Judge A. Joseph Canada Jr. that MInifee was suspected in sexual assaults on 24th Street in August and on 80th Street earlier this month. Willie James Steele, 44, was arrested at his home. He's charged with second-degree rape and sexual activity by a custodian. Agents with the State Bureau of Investigation say the alleged victim is a 26-year-old Charlotte woman who was charged in Georgia in connection with a stolen car. The Post and Courier of Charleston reported that Jessie James Murphy of Johns Island was arrested Thursday in the death of 49-year-old Kathryn Keener of Charleston. California: Black Serial Killer Suspected in 30 Killings Is Charged in Deaths of 5 People    A man already accused of killing two White senior women and suspected in the deaths of as many as 30 more was charged with raping and murdering five other victims. The man, John F. Thomas, 73, was charged with killing the women from 1975 to 1986. The women, 56 to 80 years old, were all strangled. Mr. Thomas will stand trial for all seven deaths simultaneously. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail. Calls to his court-appointed lawyers were not immediately returned. The victims in all 30 cases under review were older white women, mostly of lower incomes and often widows living alone, Cremins said.
