VA judge sentences illegal alien rapist to life in prison |
Fifth sexual assault tied to black postal worker  A fifth sexual assault is now attributed to a former Chicago postal worker. Tommie J. Naylor is charged with the kidnapping and rape of a 16-year-old girl last November, The girl was forced into a car on the 6100 block of South Rockwell. Police say Naylor was with two other assailants who have yet to be identified. Police recently got DNA results from the attack on the teen and matched them to Naylor. They say the teen also gave a positive identification of Naylor. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Black Virginia Beach rape suspect jailed on unrelated charge A man suspected in two Oceanfront rapes has been jailed on unrelated charges but will go before a grand jury on the rape charges on Oct. 5, prosecutors in Virginia Beach said yesterday. Christopher Minifee, a 29-year-old Chesapeake resident, was in circuit court on Thursday on charges of failure to appear in court and resisting arrest. At his bond hearing, prosecutors told Judge A. Joseph Canada Jr. that MInifee was suspected in sexual assaults on 24th Street in August and on 80th Street earlier this month. Canada denied Minifee's appeal for bond on the unrelated charges and remanded him to the Virginia Beach Correctional Center. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Black former probation officer charged with rape CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A former state probation officer is accused of raping a woman who was under his supervision. Willie James Steele, 44, was arrested at his home. He's charged with second-degree rape and sexual activity by a custodian. Agents with the State Bureau of Investigation say the alleged victim is a 26-year-old Charlotte woman who was charged in Georgia in connection with a stolen car. The woman was paroled and allowed to return home, where Steele was assigned to be her probation officer. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |

South Carolina black arrested for murder of White woman found dead in pond  A South Carolina negro has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of a White woman whose body was found in a stagnant pond last month. The Post and Courier of Charleston reported that Jessie James Murphy of Johns Island was arrested Thursday in the death of 49-year-old Kathryn Keener of Charleston. An autopsy revealed she died from a gunshot wound to the head.- (Newsroom) - (Black-on-white) |

Inside the house, Dorothy Webster looked outside and saw her son talking to the black teen. Then they got into the car. "I called Travis on his cell phone to see where they were going," Dorothy Webster recalled, "he said, 'Mom, this kid needs a ride, it's real close. I'll be right back.'" Minutes later Travis was dead. The 21-year-old was shot in the head and his body thrown out of his prized 1981 Camaro Berlinetta. White teen violently beaten in road rage incident by black You could call what happened to 17-year-old Chris Meade Junior "road rage", but the Richmond County Sheriff's Office is calling it assault. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is investigating the attack. California: Black Serial Killer Suspected in 30 Killings Is Charged in Deaths of 5 People    A man already accused of killing two White senior women and suspected in the deaths of as many as 30 more was charged with raping and murdering five other victims. The man, John F. Thomas, 73, was charged with killing the women from 1975 to 1986. The women, 56 to 80 years old, were all strangled. Mr. Thomas will stand trial for all seven deaths simultaneously. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail. Calls to his court-appointed lawyers were not immediately returned. The victims in all 30 cases under review were older white women, mostly of lower incomes and often widows living alone, Cremins said. Two blacks arrested in Orlando home invasion and rape 'spree'  ORLANDO, Fla. -- A woman held at gunpoint in January said she feared the worst when two men appeared at her door. "I thought he was either going to rape me, shoot me or kill me in front of my family's home," said Christina Wang. The accused men, Timothy Thomas, 23, and Patrick Maxwell, 17, robbed and raped other women. the attack on Wang was the first in a series of violent home invasions that included two rapes in the Metrowest area that detectives said were conducted by Thomas and Maxwell. Kansas City police arrest black serial rape suspect Kansas City police on Wednesday arrested a 42-year-old man suspected of beating and sexually assaulting four women from March to September. Jackson County court records allege Scott A. Harris plucked his victims off Independence, Troost and Prospect avenues by offering them rides. Three victims were raped, one in an apartment and two in the back seat of the attacker’s car. The fourth victim fought the assailant and escaped. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Black serial rape suspect makes run for it at arraignment  The suspected uptown rapist made a break for freedom at his arraignment Monday night, but only got a few yards before correction officers wrestled him to the floor. Vincent Heyward sprinted through a back door in the courtroom and into a prisoner holding area. The 21-year-old suspect earlier denied his attacks on four women ages 23 to 69.
Detectives from the special victims unit said DNA taken from Heyward, 21, matches physical evidence from all four rapes.

Hispanic arrested for 2006 rape LAKE WORTH, FL--A man is behind bars for a 2006 incident involving a rape and burglary.
The victim at the time was able to identify the man as Felix Sorto-Velasquez but authorities were unable to locate Velasquez until this Sunday.
According to the arrest report, Sorto-Velasquez broke in through a bathroom window to gain access into the victim's residence. He held a t-shirt over his face to conceal his identity. The woman ran for the front door but Sorto-Velasquez forced the woman to the living room floor and sexually assaulted her. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Long Beach negro arrested in rape of 83-year-old woman A Long Beach man has been arrested on suspicion of raping an 83-year-old legally blind woman in her home after a DNA sample taken following a domestic violence arrest tied him to the crime, authorities said. Antonio D. Freeman was arrested by sheriff's detectives Friday after authorities learned that his DNA matched that of the suspect in a prowler rape earlier this year in Norwalk. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Black Charged for Drugging, Raping Runaways A Jackson, Tennessee man was arrested Sunday on charges of harboring and sexually assaulting two teenage runaways. Ractus Herron faces multiple counts of rape, aggravated stautory rape, aggravated sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. One of the runaways, a 13-year old girl, was found late Friday night at an apartment just outside Jackson city limits on Highway 70 East. She was incoherent from being intoxicated and had to be hospitalized. Florida Black Sought in 'Horrific' Murder of Wife, 5 Kids Detained in Haiti The husband of a woman found dead in a Florida apartment along with her five young children boarded a flight for Haiti, and police said Sunday the couple had a history of domestic violence calls to their homes over the past decade. Mesac Damas, 33, who has family in Haiti, left Miami International Airport on Friday, said Collier County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Michelle Batten. Sheriff's officials said they want to talk to Damas, who is a person of interest. They were not calling him a suspect. The victims found Saturday were Guerline Damas, 32, and her children: Michzach, 9; Marven, 6; Maven, 5; Megan, 3; and 11-month-old Morgan. Batten would not say how they died. - (Newsroom) |
Black Hamilton Heights Rape Suspect DNA Matches All Four Rapes Police believe they've apprehended the serial rapist responsible for four sexual assaults in Hamilton Heights since early August. The suspect is identified as 21-year-old Vincent Heyward, of 281 Edgecombe Avenue, just blocks from where the last sexual assault took place. Officers approached Heyward on Tuesday around 12:30 a.m. because he resembled sketches of the rapist. Heyward agreed, telling the cops, "Yeah, that does look like me." Black Housekeeping head Derrick Praileau charged with second-degree murder in Essex House slay A housekeeping manager at the tony Jumeirah Essex House hotel tried to rape a gorgeous investment executive as she slept - then viciously stabbed and strangled her when she fought back, police sources told the Daily News on Sunday. Derrick Praileau, 29, slipped into the condo of Andree (Sara) Bejjani and held a 10-inch knife to her throat as she lay in bed Saturday morning, investigators said. The sex-crazed manager pulled Bejjani's nightgown over her head. When the wealthy exec resisted, Praileau strangled her, slashed her throat, then plunged the giant knife into her neck, cops said. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
