Hispanic charged in rape and slayings of 2 sisters, house fire An Indiana man faces murder, rape and arson charges in the slayings of two sisters after he attended a party at one sister's house in Griffith, Indiana, authorities said. David Alex Flores, 35, of Griffith, was charged Wednesday with murdering Jennifer Evans, 28, and her sister, Kristen Evans-Kennedy, 25, and Evans-Kennedy's rape, as well as with setting fire to Evans' home after the slayings sometime late Sept. 10 or early last Friday, according to Lake County, Indiana, prosecutors. - (crime) |

Black serial rapist Victor Lamar Davis gets life for rapes of at least 11 women Serial rapist Victor Lamar Davis was sentenced in Solano County Superior Court Friday afternoon to 252 years to life in prison and two consecutive life sentences for sexual assaults in Vacaville and San Anselmo between 2004 and 2007. Davis, 27, was found guilty in August of 40 of the 53 counts filed against him in connection with the sexual assaults, burglaries, robberies and false imprisonments.

Three black basketballers face charges in rape of co-ed   The three Hill College basketball players facing charges in connection with an alleged on campus rape of a fellow student were identified by Hillsboro Police. 18-year-old Eddie William Brown, III, of Newark, N.J. and 20-year-old Monterale Clark, of Vancouver, Wash., were both charged with sexual assault. The third player, Kenny Kirkland, of Wisconsin, was charged with tampering with evidence for allegedly throwing away the victim's underwear. - (Newsroom) - (Sports) |

The fact that his DNA was found on his 66-year-old rape victim may have been the most damning of all. In April, a jury needed only 45 minutes to find Black guilty of two counts of sexual battery and single counts of home invasion robbery and battery on a person over 65. They dragged her into the living room and took turns raping her, the woman testified. The men left with her camera, rosary beads and keys. As they left, one of the men kicked her in the face. Black male linked to four brutal rapes awaits DNA tests  Cops are awaiting DNA tests that could conclusively link an ex-con to four brutal rapes in upper Manhattan. Police are testing a genetic sample taken from the suspect's soda can to see if it matches samples taken from the women who were assaulted.
The rapist, described as a 6-foot-tall black man with a medium build, has preyed on petite women and used a knife in two of his attacks.
The rape spree started when he attacked a 59-year-old woman on Aug. 1 near W. 148th St. and Broadway. |

Clumsy (black) home-invasion robber gets shot with own gun HAMPTON, VA - Shortly after midnight Wednesday, two armed men burst into a home in the 1100 block of East Pembroke Ave., and attacked the resident. The two assailants demanded money, while another waited outside behind the wheel of the getaway car. In the chaos, one of the robbers dropped his gun. “During the assault, one of the suspects dropped his handgun which the victim was able to retrieve. The victim fired the handgun striking one of the suspects in the arm.” Keyen Lamar Hill, 27, who was shot, was arrested and charged with robbery. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |

Greg Moats cited state privacy laws in declining to say how long the suspensions involving the Belleville West High School students, ages 15 and 14, over Monday's disruptions on the bus would last. Ted Strickland ordered a weeklong reprieve for a condemned inmate Tuesday after the Ohio execution team had problems finding usable veins for the lethal injection even after the inmate tried to help. Black Found Guilty In 2006 Sexual Assault MADISON, Wis. -- A man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her East Side home in 2006 was found guilty Thursday. A jury found Courtney M. Cowins guilty. Cowins gained entry to a home on Jana Lane through an unlocked door and violently assaulted a woman in December 2006. Prosecutors said DNA evidence linked Cowins to the crime. Authorities said DNA evidence was collected at the scene but was not processed until December 2008. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Alabama negro raped 16-year-old girl while drinking, police say Ala. -- A 28-year-old Foley man is being held in Baldwin County jail today, accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl last weekend in Summerdale, police said. Robert Deon Ferguson was being held at the Baldwin County Corrections Center in Bay Minette on $25,000 bail, according to records. Summerdale Police Chief Dwain Riebling said the girl was visiting a friend Friday night when Ferguson came to the house and began drinking. Early Saturday, between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Ferguson allegedly sexually assaulted the teen, Riebling said. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
