(Dark Hispanic) Milciades Mendoza Alcantara Charged In Robberies, Tanning Salon Rape A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with a sexual assault and two robberies that happened on Tuesday night. Spartanburg County Sheriff's Maj. Dan Johnson said Milciades Mendoza Alcantara, of Duncan, is charged with robbing a Subway restaurant on Highway 101. Subway employee Amanda Cooper said, "He came up to me with a knife in his hand and pushed me to the cash register and basically pointed at Kristi, the girl I work with, with a knife pointed at me and pointed at the money." - (Newsroom) |
Colored Traveling salesman pleads guilty to rape-murder of 90-year-old White woman  A traveling magazine salesman from Missouri pleaded guilty to charges that he raped and killed a 90-year-old Lafayette woman in her home three years ago. Richard Craig McNew, 34, a felon from St. Louis, is expected to be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering Anna Elizabeth Vuori. Vuori was bound and gagged in her Moraga Boulevard home, sexually assaulted and found smothered to death on Dec. 10, 2005. McNew, who worked for Overachievers, a Missouri magazine-subnoscription company, then took $18,000 in savings bonds and $200 in cash and Vuori's keys. - (Newsroom) - (Black-on-white) |
Girls' coach pleads guilty to sex charges Randall Ralston, who coached basketball at three local high schools and in a youth league, faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty this morning to charges he engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with several girls. He was indicted in October on one count of rape and 13 counts of unlawful sexual conduct involving two 15-year-old girls he coached in a summer league. - (Newsroom) |

Black arrested for sexually molesting a 70-year-old woman with dementia A 20-year-old man is accused of sexually molesting a 70-year-old woman with dementia in Boynton Beach, a police report said. Police on Sunday arrested Johnathan Russell on one count of lewd and lascivious molestation to an elderly person and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition in the presence of an elderly person. Police became aware of the molestation after the woman was taken from her assisted-living facility -- Boynton Beach Assisted Living -- to Bethesda Memorial Hospital. Rape-case charges grow against Whitmore Lake Negro Police say a Whitmore Lake man accused of raping his girlfriend and holding her captive now faces charges of attempting to persuade the woman not to testify and threatening to kill her. Derrick Alden Johnson, 23, will appear for a preliminary hearing Jan. 7 on two felony counts of witness intimidation - including a death threat - and one count of inciting or procuring perjury in court proceedings, records show. |
Three charged with rape of minors Rojaun Hutchinson, 19, of 64 Ash St., Apt. A, faces six indictments of class B felony sexual assault. The Hillsborough County criminal indictments allege that between June and September, Hutchinson, who was 18 at the time, raped an acquaintance who was 14. |

 Paul Harris, 34, of 18-1/2 Blossom St., was indicted on one class B felony count of sexual assault, one class B felony count of endangering the welfare of a child, and a class A misdemeanor charge of sexual assault. Harris, who was 33 at the time, in August raped a 14-year-old girl whom he knew, police allege. |

Madison negro sentenced to 40 years for home-invasion attacks on two women  Andrew Clark, who attacked two women in their beds last year after kicking open their front doors — both times while they had children in the home — will spend 40 years in prison for what a judge called "incomprehensible" acts of violence. Assistant District Attorney Karie Cattanach said that woman, whose hair is normally ash blonde, appeared to medical personnel to be a redhead because of the amount of blood in her hair. As an adult, he was previously convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a child, she said, for a similar attack in 1992 on a girl that he knew - (Newsroom) |

Black Teen Charged with Rape, Burglary after 80-Year-Old Raped Charges were filed against a Sikeston, Mo., man in connection with rape of an 80-year-old woman in Cape Girardeau. Mitchell T. West, 17, faces charges of rape, attempted forcible sodomy, theft of a credit device and burglary. The rape occurred two weeks ago in a south side neighborhood, where the victim said she's always felt safe in the four years she's lived there. On Nov. 30, around 7 p.m., the victim said she was at her residence when she answered a knock on her door. The man, dressed in dark clothing, forced his way into her home and raped her, according to the victim's account. Before leaving, she told police the attacker he stole her wallet, which contained credit cards, from her purse. - (Newsroom) |

Black South Florida man faces charges for videotaping young children Federal prosecutors announced charges against a South Florida man accused of videotaping young children on Deerfield Beach and in the bathroom of the Coral Springs Aquatic Center. Donald Patrick Reid, 37, was charged with possessing child pornography after a search of his camera turned up numerous images of children's genitals, prosecutors said. On Dec. 13, a parent found Reid videotaping a 12-year-old in the bathroom of the aquatic center. Most of the images on Reid's camera were of children under 6 years of age, prosecutors said. - (Newsroom) |
Black Nurses Aides Accused Of Stealing From Veterans  PHILADELPHIA -- Officers arrested a pair of nurses' aides accused of stealing from people at the veterans nursing home where they worked. Ginger Hendrickson, 46, and Laura Bell, 51, started stealing in January from elderly patients at the Veterans Nursing Home. Detectives said they took cash and credit cards. The thefts ranged from $40 to $200 dollars, and the alleged victims ranged in age from 35 to 80 and included wheelchair-bound veterans. - (Newsroom) |
Black suspect in sex attack turns himself in An 18-year-old man wanted in connection with the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in Aurora last week turned himself in to police this afternoon. Cedric T. Flax, of Aurora, was wanted in an arrest warrant for the crimes, which happened about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. He has been charged with unlawful restraint, but other charges could be imminent, said Dan Ferrelli, an Aurora police spokesman. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, told police that she stopped at a gas station and left her vehicle unlocked and running in the parking lot. When she returned to her vehicle, a man who had been hiding in the back seat grabbed her around the neck and put a gun to her head and forced her to drive to a far east side apartment complex. - (Newsroom) |
Shaquana Accused of Biting Man at Long Island Basketball Game ROSLYN, N.Y. -- A woman has been charged with biting a security officer who was trying to break up a crowd at a Long Island high school basketball game. Nassau County police say the 20-year-old Shaquana Beamon of Roslyn Heights, resident bit the man on his arm and leg at the Roslyn High School game on Thursday night. They say another person punched the man in the head. The man's beating caused bruising and swelling. But the man refused medical attention at the scene. The woman accused of biting him was arrested and arraigned Saturday. She's charged with assault. The person who punched him in the head is being sought. - (Newsroom) |

A woman thought she was doing the right thing when she called a cab after a night of drinking, but she said the cab driver wanted much more from her than just cab fare. The 28-year-old woman woke up at the Admiral Hotel, naked from the waist down. It happened last December. She'd been drinking at a downtown bar and asked an employee to call her a taxi.
