Black suspect in sex attack turns himself in An 18-year-old man wanted in connection with the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in Aurora last week turned himself in to police this afternoon. Cedric T. Flax, of Aurora, was wanted in an arrest warrant for the crimes, which happened about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. He has been charged with unlawful restraint, but other charges could be imminent, said Dan Ferrelli, an Aurora police spokesman. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, told police that she stopped at a gas station and left her vehicle unlocked and running in the parking lot. When she returned to her vehicle, a man who had been hiding in the back seat grabbed her around the neck and put a gun to her head and forced her to drive to a far east side apartment complex. - (Newsroom) |

White mother guilty of letting black boyfriend rape 8-yr-old daughter Kendra D'Andrea and Willie Jordan have plead guilty to charges of possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. The incidents happened in 2004, and are quite disturbing. Kendra D'Andrea and her boyfriend Willie Jordan are both accused of sexually violating D'Andrea's 8 year old daughter and taking pictures of the violation with a cell phone. Even more remarkably, Kendra D'Andrea admitted to sexually molesting her daughter and taking pictures of the act so that Willie Jordan, who was a truck driver, could see them while he was on the road. The two were both arrested in 2004 when state child welfare workers received a report about the abuse. - (Newsroom) |
Civil rights figure free on bond to appeal incest conviction A key figure from the civil rights movement sentenced to 15 years in prison for incest has been released on bond while he appeals his conviction. It’s unlikely the Rev. James L. Bevel will ever serve another day in jail even if his conviction stands because he’s been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Doctors estimate the 71-year-old has only a few months to live. Bevel was a top lieutenant to Martin Luther King Jr. and architect of the 1963 Children’s Crusade in Birmingham, Ala. In April, a jury convicted Bevel of incest for having sex more than a decade ago with his then-teenage daughter. - (Newsroom) |
