Dark spanic serial rapist sentenced to 36 years to life KENT — A serial rapist accused of sexually assaulting two teenage sisters after tying up their mother in a Federal Way apartment nearly three years ago was sentenced this morning to 36 years to life in prison. Anthony Dias, 29, entered an Alford plea to several charges stemming from three separate incidents in King County in 2005, including the rape of the two girls and sexual assaults on four women. The plea means that though he did not admit guilt, Dias acknowledged he would likely be convicted if tried. - (Newsroom) |

Black Parolee guilty of 1979 rape-murder in San Jose  A parolee is expected to be sent to prison for the rest of his life after being convicted of murdering a San Jose woman in 1979 in a case that went cold until DNA testing linked him to the crime, authorities said today.
Timothy William Brown, 56, was found guilty Thursday of raping and murdering Virginia Correa, 42, a mother of two who was attacked after dropping off a friend early Jan. 15, 1979.
A Santa Clara County jury convicted Brown of murder along with special circumstances of rape and kidnapping. - (Newsroom) |

Black fags on the down low - Raleigh teen accused of indecent liberties with two boys A Raleigh teen has been accused of committing sexual acts with two boys, both under age 10. Karlton Cheston, 17, of 1309 Highcourt Drive, Apt. 102, was charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor and one count of first-degree statutory sexual offense. The victims of the sex offenses, which happened in August, were 7-year-old and 9-year-old boys who knew Cheston, according to the arrest warrant. Investigators said that Cheston performed oral sex on the 9-year-old victim. - (Newsroom) |
Black ex-con Accused Of Raping 13-Year-Old Girl  A 30-year-old man was charged with rape after St. Johns County deputies said he had non-consensual sex with a 13-year-old girl. Deputies went to a woman's home on Sunday, she she told them she saw James Gilmore getting out of bed with the girl and pulling up his pants. Home-invading black gets 15-20 years for kidnap, rapes A Revere woman yesterday said she wants to see the man who invaded her home and beat her on an early July morning in 2006 die in prison, while the three teenage girls he raped during a crime rampage that began hours earlier in Boston said they welcomed the chance to put him behind bars. The woman and the teenagers delivered emotional victim impact statements yesterday in Suffolk Superior Court, where 30-year-old Eric Morale pleaded guilty to 18 felony charges, including five rape charges, five counts of kidnapping, and five armed robbery charges, in a plea agreement with Suffolk County prosecutors. Black suspect in James City shootout also faces robbery, rape charges A man who was arrested after trading gunfire with officers from several agencies also faces charges in connection with several abductions and robberies in the Williamsburg area. Charles Bartlett, Jr., 44, was taken into custody following a 45-minute foot and vehicle chase with police. Shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday, a man with a gun approached two women in the parking lot at a Shell gas station on Richmond Road and tried to steal their car. He hit one woman in the face with the gun. Bartlett is a convicted violent sex offender. - (Newsroom) |
Black Charged With Rape in Plattsburgh Plattsburgh City Police were called out to Court Street around 5:30 Friday morning for a report of a break-in and rape. When officers arrived, they received a denoscription of the suspect. The college aged 'famale', who was reportedly raped, was taken to CVPH for treatment. Investigators found evidence near the scene and were able to identify the suspect, 30 year old Gregory Holland of Plattsburgh. Holland provided details allegedly linking him to the unlawful entry and subsequent rape of the victim. Holland was arrested and charged with rape and burglary, both are felony charges. - (Newsroom) |
Homeless Negoid-featured man charged in Woodstock rape A homeless man was charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a laundromat last week, police said. Jeffrey A. Cole, 25, was charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated unlawful restraint, and one count of burglary. Police said the rape occurred at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 5. The victim reported the crime to Woodstock police on Tuesday. Police said Cole approached a woman with what appeared to be a handgun and forced her into a bathroom where he sexually assaulted her. - (Newsroom) |

Authorities in southern Oaxaca state said Saturday they have arrested a man who allegedly raped and killed a U.S. woman. 
Rep. Charles Rangel wrote six checks for about $10,800 in back taxes, and then penned an open letter to New Yorkers Friday, saying he has done nothing dishonorable and is the target of a Republican "guerrilla war." Rangel, the senior member of the New York congressional delegation, has faced a string of embarrassing revelations - he didn't pay taxes on rental income for a beach house in the Dominican Republic; he used three rent-stabilized apartments in New York City, including one for a campaign office; he used his congressional stationery to solicit private donations to a college center named after him.
