(Black) Mom Convicted of Using Baby As Weapon A US woman was convicted of swinging her four-week-old son to hit her boyfriend during a fight. A jury in Pennsylvania's Erie County convicted 28-year-old Chytoria Graham of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault and child endangerment yesterday. Prosecutors said Graham and DeAngelo Troop got into a fight early on October 8, 2006, after Graham came home from a night of drinking. Graham grabbed her son Jarron by his feet and swung him, hitting Troop and fracturing the infant's skull. The child has recovered and is living with Graham's family. - (Newsroom) |

   Lee Coleman, 38, went on a bloody rampage after stealing knives from a Second Ave. restaurant Saturday, cops said. Gonzalez said Coleman, a father of three kids who live with their mom in Atlanta, was schizophrenic and bipolar and that he had been "really stressed" and "struggling" in recent days. Coleman, a former male model, was living a normal life until he suffered nervous breakdowns in 2005 and again earlier this year. He was treated each time at Jacobi Medical Center, said Gonzalez, 49. Officer Chin said he was happy to hear that Susan Barron, 67, the woman he saved by taking on her accused assailant, is expected to pull through. The cook, Amarjit Singh, 56, of Queens, was in serious but stable condition at Bellevue, having been slashed on the side of the head. Miami police hunting `terrible black rapist predator' A gun-wielding man kidnapped a tourist couple in downtown Miami Monday morning, raping the woman for 45 minutes before making the pair drive the streets looking for someone else to rob, police said. When the attacker spotted a potential victim walking the streets, he got out of their car and the couple sped off. ''We're looking for a terrible predator,'' said Miami Detective William Moreno, a spokesman. The attacker is described as a clean-shaven, slim black man in his 20s, about six-foot-two with bald or close-cropped hair. Washington State: Negro arrested for box-cutter rape of teen suspect in prior rape  Wash. --- A former Waterloo negro has been arrested in connection with a rape in the state of Washington, and authorities there have obtained evidence linking him to an unsolved 2004 sexual assault in Waterloo. Authorities in South Everett, Wash., had been searching for Larry Donnell Baker, 34, Wednesday in connection with an Aug. 19 rape in South Everett when he surrendered to a detective. The Aug. 19 incident happened when a 17-year-old girl was walking home from work. She was grabbed by a man armed with a knife and was taken to a nearby area where she was sexually assaulted. In another case, a 21-year-old woman went outside to start her car for work when a man in a passenger car pulled up to ask her for directions.
He then grabbed her and pulled her into his vehicle and drove a short distance to the area of the 200 block of Randolph Street where the attack took place. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
North Little Rock Police Arrest Kashawnda Lynch In Overnight Homicide Just before 2:00 AM, North Little Rock officers responded to 1403 ½ Vine Street to investigate a possible assault. Upon arrival, officers found a black male victim, who has been identified as Holbert Chisim, suffering from a stab wound. Chisim, 28 years old of Little Rock, was transported to UAMS Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A subsequent investigation has led to the arrest of Chisim’s fiancé, Kashawnda Lynch of Little Rock. Lynch, who was taken into custody at the scene of the incident, was transported to the North Little Rock Police Department Detective’s Division and later charged with second degree murder. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |

Black Armored Car Robbery Suspect Mustafa Ali Charged  Mustafa Ali previously served seven years in federal prison for bank robbery, the detective said. It was not clear if he had an attorney. "If he is the suspect that killed my husband, he hurt his own family too," Donna Alullo, the widow of slain guard Joseph Alullo, said after he was brought in for questioning. "We hope that it is the suspect ... so that he is off the street and doesn't do it to anyone else." Investigators say the driver who was at fault in a serious crash that killed one person and injured three others on Interstate 275 in St. Petersburg was running from police when the crash happened. the driver who caused the crash— Charles Hicks—was involved in an aggravated assault against two St. Petersburg police officers before the accident happened. They say Hicks and his passenger, 32-year-old Marcus Tolbert, fled the scenes of the altercations in their green Ford Escort, drove the wrong way on I-275, and collided with a maroon Toyota Camry around 2:15 a.m. The crash left the Camry hanging over the edge of the ramp, and left the two people inside seriously injured. 17-year-old
