  • 6 Indicted on Arms Brokering Charges for Tamil Tiger terrorist group
BALTIMORE -- Three people suspected as arms brokers for the Tamil Tiger terrorist group were arrested as they thought they were closing a deal to send missiles, grenade launchers and other weapons to Sri Lanka. Under the operation initiated by ICE, investigators posed as arms dealers, wining and dining one of those charged, Haniffa Bin Osman, when he came to Baltimore to work out the deal. Investigators even took him to a police firing range to test some of the guns, after removing any identifying signs, Bastan said. Osman, 55, Erick Wotulo, 60, and Haji Subandi, 69, were charged in a three-count indictment with conspiracy to export arms and munitions, conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization and money laundering. Thirunavukarasu Varatharasa, 36, of Sri Lanka, also is charged with being part of the conspiracy.

Fla. Sheriff Says Slaying Suspect Killed * Fallen deputy was 12-year veteran
dredlocked cop killerVernon Matthew WilliamsLAKELAND, Fla. -- SWAT team members on Friday fatally shot a man suspected of killing a sheriff's deputy a day earlier, ending an intensive manhunt that had gripped this rural area, officials said. The suspect was shot numerous times after he was found in thick brush, just 100 yards away from where Deputy Vernon Matthew Williams was killed in Thursday's burst of gunfire, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said. Hundreds of officers had used night-vision scopes, tracking dogs, helicopters and door-to-door searches to try to locate the man, who fled from Williams after another deputy stopped him for speeding. The tangled brush forced SWAT members to walk shoulder to shoulder, and they didn't see the suspect until they were beside him, Judd said. He had dug himself in beneath a fallen oak tree. The suspect refused to show both of his hands when officers commanded him to, Judd said. He said the officers opened fire after seeing that he appeared to have Williams' .45-caliber weapon, Judd said. It was unclear if the man also fired the gun. - (Newsroom) - (crime) - (Black-on-white)

  • Sodomy Is A Crime- by Jim Rudd
After confronting people out on the street with what the Word of God says and then reading what is happening in the news, I have to ask the question, "Why are the pro-family groups having such a hard time discussing the crime of sodomy?" What has become evident to me is the fact that most of these groups do not publicly address sodomy as a crime and then demand that our civil authorities arrest, prosecute, and punish the sodomites.
