Three Indicted In Fatal Wilson Pizza Hut Shooting  WILSON, N.C. -- The three suspects in a fatal shooting at a Wilson Pizza Hut this summer were indicted by a grand jury this week. Corey Whitted, who police say pulled the trigger in the shooting in July, was indicted on first-degree murder charges. Two other men, Antonio Barnes and John Holden Jr., were also indicted on first-degree murder charges related to the case. Police say that Brandon Bass was killed and another employee Ceasar Raya was injured in the shooting that happened during a robbery. Sports: Black teen basketballer told detective that shooting of White music executive was not planned   Metro police arrested 16 year-old Deon Velt Miller Wednesday in connection with the murder of Eric Scott Mansfield who was shot and killed last month near his East Nashville home. Police said Mansfield’s body was found inside his Volkswagen on the night of Friday, November 11th. He had been shot in the chest, apparently while he was looking for a place to park. Mansfield, who was 33 years old, worked as director of creative services for Warner Bros. Records. The single bullet ripped through the lower part of Mansfield's heart, tore through his left lung and lodged in his spine. He lived long enough to slam on his horn and pull over to the side of the road. Afterward, three of Miller's former basketball coaches spoke outside the Juvenile Justice Center about the teen's "rising athletic star". Vernon Braswell, former school assistant principal, guilty of second degree murder of his wife  Prosecutors say Vernon Braswell strangled his wife Sheila and left her in the bathtub. Defense attorneys say it was an accident. They say Braswell and his wife were engaging in a mutual sex act when she was accidentally strangled. Vern Braswell, an assistant principal at Hanley Elementary has a record for theft of property dating back to 1992 and aggravated assault from 1989, but that was purged from his record. Billy Joe Cleveland convicted of second-degree murder of his wife, LaToya The family of LaToya Knox Cleveland was disappointed when a jury convicted Billy Joe Cleveland of second-degree murder of his wife, LaToya. But they have accepted it, LaToya's mother, Zirithia Knox, said. "We were praying for first-degree, but that's what the jury decided and the family is satisfied with that," Zirithia Knox said. Earlier in the week, the jury found Cleveland, 35, guilty of shooting his 28-year-old wife at their home in Woodleaf in 2003. For shooting his wife three times with a shotgun — once in the face and twice in the chest — Cleveland will serve 20 to 25 years in prison. Man Charged With Rape Of 69-Year-Old Woman at a Hospital Bathroom  Ala. -- A local man is under arrest after he allegedly raped a 69-year-old woman at a local hospital. The woman claimed that Christopher Jones attacked her in a bathroom at UAB West in Bessemer on Saturday. Investigators are not sure if the woman was actually a patient at the hospital or just a visitor. Jones is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on $30,000 bond - (crime) - (Tyrone N. Suspects arrested in two William and Mary coed rape investigations A suspect's been arrested and charged in the rape of a William and Mary student at her off-campus apartment. Kermit Anthony "Tony" Gray, 22, was arrested Thursday afternoon at the Newsome Park Apartments. In an email to students, College officials said Gray has confessed. He's the person of interest police sought following Tuesday morning's rape and robbery of a 22-year-old woman at the Apartments. Gray had been charged several times over the past years with peeping into windows at the same complex. Police arrested Gray on an unrelated charge and he also faces a marijuana possession charge in that city. Gray has been charged with one count each of rape, abduction, robbery and burglary with the intent to commit a robbery and rape while armed with a dangerous weapon. Police are awaiting results from tests of a 12.5" kitchen knife that was found on the ground outside the apartment complex to determine whether it was the weapon used in the crime. - (crime) - (Tyrone N. Trial underway for woman accused of drowning her newborn baby in the toilet Tina Graham later sat alone as the jury watched her videotaped police interview taken two days after her newborn baby girl was found drowned in a toilet. John Hicks, 49, was executed Tuesday in Ohio Ohio carried out the nation's 999th execution since 1977 on Tuesday, putting to death a man who strangled his mother-in-law while high on cocaine and later killed his 5-year-old stepdaughter to cover up the crime. John Hicks, 49, was put to death a day after Eric Nance was executed in Arkansas for killing a teenager by slashing her throat with a box cutter. Hicks offered a tearful apology for the 1985 murders in an interview earlier this month with Ohio Parole Board members, and said he loved both victims -- 56-year-old Maxine Armstrong and 5-year-old Brandy Green. 17-year-old McDonalds parking lot shooting victim's mother speaks out * $2 million bail for shooting suspect Tampa, Florida - Grief counselors are trying to help students at King High School in Tampa deal with the shooting death of a 12th grader. 17-year-old Dalshon Walton was shot to death Thursday in the parking lot of a McDonalds. Three other teens were injured. Witnesses say the shootings were the result of a fight between students and non-students. They say the victim was walking away from the McDonald's when he was killed. The shooting happened just after school let out. Tampa police have now arrested 18-year-old Otis Neal and charged him with three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm. - (Tyrone N. Nigerian Migrant Doctor Momah Convicted Of Sexually Abusing Patients SEATTLE - A jury Wednesday convicted a King County gynecologist of raping and fondling women who came for treatment to his clinics. Charles Momah pleaded not guilty last year to two counts of rape and two counts of indecent liberties with patients. He could face 16 years in prison after being convicted on all charges. The verdict came after four days of deliberation. Prosecutors alleged that Momah performed gynecological exams without wearing gloves, sexually touched patients, probed them unnecessarily with a vaginal ultrasound wand and flirted with them inappropriately. - (Tyrone N. Black Man Charged in White Raleigh Woman's Murder  Byron Lamar Waring, 19, was arrested and charged with one count of murder in the death of Lauren Redman. Lauren Redman was found stabbed to death Tuesday morning. Redman's body was found outside her west Raleigh apartment early Tuesday morning. Police announced that they had located her missing Honda Civic. Raleigh police say Waring and Redman knew each other, but no further details were available. Prichard woman accused of pimping 12-year-old for drugs PRICHARD, Ala. (AP) - Police have arrested a Prichard woman on charges that she worked a 12-year-old girl as a prostitute in exchange for drugs. Assistant Mobile County district attorney Steve Giardini said prosecutors decided to charge 46-year-old Cynthia Benice Fletcher with criminal complicity to second-degree rape because she induced or promoted the sexual act. Giardini said the girl was raped at least one time this year by a man whom authorities have not yet arrested. He said the department of Human Resources has safely placed her. - (Tyrone N. Accused N.C. Sex Offender Believed to be in Hampton Roads Officials in Gates County, North Carolina, are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted on 21 counts of statutory sex offenses against minors. Joseph Ezra Knight, 32, was last seen in Gates County on October 25. Authorities believe he may now be in Hampton Roads. The charges stem from accusations of two girls under the age of 15 years old who say Knight abused them sexually and physically for more than a year. Negro student attacked a 14-year-old female student in a boys restroom  A Sarasota high school student is accused of sexually attacking another student. Police say 17-year-old Jared Jenkins attacked a 14-year-old female student in a boys restroom at Booker High School on Wednesday. Man Sentenced for Attempting to Burn Family You may remember the Beaufort man who tried to set his wife and children on fire last spring. Today Oscar Lane was sentenced to two 12-year sentences to run concurrently for breaking into his wife's home and then dousing her and their children with gasoline before trying to set them on fire.A police officer who happened to be patrolling the area found the woman running from her home.Lane ran off but later turned himself in. - (Tyrone N. Mental patient accused of killing wife in Neeses A recently released mental patient has been accused of stabbing his wife to death at their home. Police still don’t know what ignited the incident that resulted in the death of the woman. “Upon officers’ arrival, they found the victim, Glenda Brooks, 53 years old, with what appeared to be a stab wound to the lower abdomen,” Williams said. “The subject, upon the officers’ entering the home, indicated that he had stabbed his wife for reasons unknown.” The victim’s husband, Lee B. Black Man guilty in murder of White mother and her 2-year-old daughter kidnapped from a park    LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- A Gwinnett County jury has convicted a 27-year-old man charged in the 1999 deaths of a woman and her young daughter. The jury returned the guilty verdict Friday morning against Wesley Harris in the deaths of 22-year-old Whitney Land and her two-year-old daughter. The jury found Harris guilty on all counts. District Attorney Danny Porter says Harris abducted the two from Panhandle Park in Clayton County and then drove the Lands' car to Gwinnett County -- where he shot them, put their bodies in the trunk and burned the car. - (Tyrone N. Crimestoppers Tip Leads to Arrest of black man for murder of white woman    A Columbia man has been arrested in connection with the 2004 murder of 20-year-old Stephanie Dover. Officers arrested John Joseph Moore, Jr. Moore is charged with murder, one count of possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. In October of 2004, investigators said two men in a truck came up beside Dover's car, while she was riding home with her family from a cookout. Someone started firing shots, striking Dover and her three-year-old son. Dover's fiance, Gene Derrick, Jr., said he still struggles with what to tell their children. Virginia Beach Police Seek Three Black Suspects in Carjacking, Sexual Assault Virginia Beach police are asking for the public's help in locating three suspects involved in a carjacking and sexual assault in the Kempsville area of the city early Tuesday morning. The woman's friend, who was walking into a residence at the time, came back to the vehicle to see what was happening and both were allegedly forced into the vehicle. Police say the vehicle then stopped at the dead end of White Marsh Court where both victims were forced out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Sexual assault suspect pursued Tarpon Springs police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted a teenage girl. Officers say Raymond Ranzy, 35, committed the crime on Oct. 20. They connected him to the case through fingerprints taken from the 18-year-old victim's car. Police say Ranzy has several aliases, including Ramone Dancy, Ray Ramzy, and Raymond Ramsey. He is described at 6 feet tall, 170-190 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, a lazy left eye, multiple tattoos, and a pierced left ear. "Blue" Black Man Sentenced to only 10 Years in Death of White Portsmouth Woman  The man convicted of killing a woman in Portsmouth, then dumped her body in Newport News, will spend 10 years in jail for the crime. James Nutter, 26, was sentenced Tuesday by a Portsmouth judge.It was April, 2003, when the body of 22-year old Katrina Marie Boscia was discovered in the woods near a Warwick Boulevard go-go club where she worked. Former Hampton Roads Educator Convicted On Five Money-Laundering Charges A federal jury in Norfolk on Friday found a former Hampton Roads educator guilty of five counts of money laundering in a drug conspiracy case. Pamela Y. Hoffler-Riddick faces up to 20 years in prison when she's sentenced in January. Neither she nor her attorney would comment after the verdict.Hoffler-Riddick, 44, was accused of funneling about $16,000 in drug money through her credit union account in the fall of 2000. of Character month. Five or six years ago the newsmedia saturated us with negritude 24/7 during February. The American people aren't as dumb as they look; we can only take so much celebrating the inventions of the biscuit cutter, the door knob, the curtain rod, the door stop and the super soaker water gun. Many of these claims are seen for what they are and other negro claims of invention have been definitively debunked. It became buffoonish after a while and I believe that the newsmedia recognized that. As negroes grasp at straws to find any boost for their fragile self esteem, we simply look to modern Africa or our local newspapers to see the negro in it's natural state: murderous, self absorbed, vicious, incompetent, and always whining that white people don't like them. Well tell me this, what is there to like? Sure, there may exist certain individuals of color who are decent folk, but who has the time and energy to go through city busloads of negroes until you find one like that?
