Man accused of killing 20-month-old daughter - "Satan's child" * 911 call: 'He's got my baby!' - (Tyrone N. Butts) - (TNB) - (reader link)   CINCINNATI — A man was charged with murder Friday in the death of his 20-month old daughter, whose body was found in a park. Aliyah Starling Myrick was last seen with Darius Myrick about 9 p.m. Thursday when he took his daughter from the house where she lived with her mother, police said. The child’s mother told police that Mr. Myrick, 32, had made threatening statements toward the child, referring to her as "Satan’s child". Police found the child’s body about 10:30 a.m. along a trial in a park, and there were no obvious signs of trauma, said police. - (crime) |
Man Gets Death for Killing Three in Ala.   Ala. -- A judge sentenced a man to die Thursday for the murders of two officers and a dispatcher at a rural police station, slayings the victims' families blame partly on the killer's obsession with a violent video game. Devin Moore showed no emotion as the judge sentenced him to death by injection, but he apologized beforehand to his victims' relatives. I am so sorry. I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me," the 20-year-old said in a low voice. In June 2003, Moore murdered the entire night shift of the Fayette Police Department: officers Arnold Strickland, 55, and James Crump, 40, and dispatcher Leslie "Ace" Mealer, 38. Moore had been arrested on suspicion of car theft. Police have captured a convicted sex offender who escaped from detention after raping an 82-year-old woman  Police have captured a convicted sex offender who escaped from the detention center in Port Gibson. Othnie Claiborne of Patterson was charged last month with rape, robbery, breaking and entering and burglary of an 82-year-old woman. Police say he escaped sometime Sunday morning by cutting through the ceiling. He was re-captured Friday morning in Claiborne County. - (Tyrone N. Butts) - (crime) |
County Commissioner William Cotton Arrested For Extortion In Operation Tennessee Waltz He was taken in handcuffs to the Federal Courthouse. Willam Cotton was charged with taking a bribe to get a resolution passed on the County Commission dealing with the E-Cycle firm getting outdated equipment from the county. E-Cycle turned out to be a bogus company set up by the FBI. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison. The FBI said Cotton received $3,000 and Love got $3,000 from the $6,000 given Love by the undercover agent. - (Tyrone N. Butts) |
Another arrest in Vanderbilt University Dormitory shooting  A citizen’s tip to West Precinct detectives led to this afternoon’s arrest of the second gunman sought in connection with last Sunday morning’s shooting on the 10th floor of Vanderbilt University’s Morgan Hall dormitory. Edward Earl Allen, Jr., 22, was arrested without incident at an apartment in the Welch Bend complex in South Nashville. Allen was getting out of the shower when officers arrived. Recovered from the apartment was a .380 semi-automatic pistol. Allen admitted to firing the gun on a dorm elevator. Suspect in Vanderbilt dorm shooting turns self in    Carlos Andrecus Branch of Nashville, identified by Metro police as one of two men involved in a shooting at a Vanderbilt University dorm last Sunday at 2 a.m., surrendered last night. Branch, 26, was involved, according to detectives, in the on-campus incident in which Vanderbilt footballer George Smith was shot in the arm. The other suspect has not yet been apprehended. Both men had been asked to leave a party being held in the dorm after Vanderbilt's victory Saturday night over the University of Richmond at Vanderbilt Stadium.- (Tyrone N. Kerry Spencer sentenced to death for assassination of three Alabama Police Officers - Justice Prevails: Killer Receives Death   Chuck Canterbury, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, welcomed today's news that Kerry Spencer, convicted of murdering three law enforcement officers in Alabama last summer, was sentenced to death. On June 17, 2004, Kerry Spencer, who admitted selling as much as $3,000 worth of crack a day from a filthy apartment in a poor neighborhood of Birmingham, Ala., opened fire at close range with an automatic SKS Chinese assault rifle on four officers that arrived at the apartment to arrest his friend. He wounded one officer and killed three others -- Carlos Owen, Harley Chisholm III and Charles Robert Bennett. He confessed to the murders and was convicted by a jury of three counts of capital murder and one count of attempted murder of a police officer. Latara charged with murder of her five year old cousin A 5-year-old boy, Carlyle Mullins, who died of a severe brain injury in May also had his back broken in several places and had multiple healing burns on his ears, head, back and buttocks, a medical examiner's report found. The boy's cousin, Latara Williams, faces charges of first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse in Carlyle's death. She has pleaded not guilty. - (KY Orphan, Tyrone) |
White 18-Year-Old Co-ed Calls 911 Before She Is Raped and Killed by Black 'Career Criminal'   SUNRISE, Fla. -- Police say an 18-year-old woman used her cell phone to call 911 for help Monday night, but by the time officers arrived, she had been killed. Sunrise police said when officers arrived at the apartment building at 5990 N.W. 19th St. just after midnight, Christine Myers was lying dead in a hallway. Police arrested 26-year-old Edward Mosie Howard on Tuesday. Investigators said Myers and Howard knew each other, but investigators said they don't know a motive for the killing. Howard made his first court appearance Wednesday. He is being held without bond on murder and sexual assault charges. Police said he also has a no-bond hold for a probation violation. - (Tyrone N. Police Seek Registered Sex Offender in Rape Case Savannah-Chatham police need your help finding a registered sex offender. Antonio L. Williams is wanted for the September 16 rape of an 18-year-old on Savannah's south side. An arrest warrant has also been issued in another rape for which Williams was recently indicted by a Chatham County grand jury. It is believed Williams is still in the area. Black Police intructor kills white female police recruit   AUSTELL, Ga. -- Authorities have released the name of the instructor involved in a deadly shooting accident this week at the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy in Cobb County. He is veteran instructor Cobb Co. Deputy Sheriff's Sgt. Albert C. Jackson. The city of Kennesaw held a moment of silence Thursday to remember the police trainee who was accidentally killed. 23-year-old Tara Drummond -- a recruit with the Kennesaw Police Department -- died Tuesday after being shot once in the chest. Officials say Jackson violated safety rules by having a loaded gun. A Raleigh woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly lying to the American Red Cross about being a Hurricane Katrina victim. Tiffany Signal, 23, who was charged with obtaining property by false pretense, told the Red Cross earlier this week that she was a victim of Hurricane Katrina's damage in New Orleans, according to an arrest warrant. The warrant stated that Signal used a fake name and address and received a debit card with a balance of $665. She also received a 14-day pass to a hotel. Prison Guard "Willie" Jones Charged with Having Sex with Inmate A Corrections Department guard has been charged with having sex with an inmate. The State Law Enforcement Division says 43-year-old Willie Jones is charged with second-degree sexual misconduct with an inmate. The arrest warrant states the incident occurred at the Camille Griffin Graham Correctional Institution in Richland County on August 13th. Suspect In Police Officer Shooting Captured ROSE HILL, N.C. -- A man suspected of shooting a police officer has been caught, authorities said. Tyrone David Williams is in custody, Rose Hill police said. Sports: High School coach, guard accused of trying to assault Girl in girls' shower  JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A security guard and coach at Ribault High School was arrested and accused of assaulting a student on school grounds. The 14-year-old girl told police she was tricked into entering a shower at the school, where Tracy Wright allegedly demanded that she perform sex acts on him. "Apparently, the suspect was able to take the victim to an area on campus where he felt confident that he would be able to complete the assault." Wright, 34, asked the girl to help him find some other students who were causing trouble in class. The victim said he asked her to look in the girls' shower, then he followed her in and "started kissing her against her will." Man Wanted In Durham For Assaulting Female DURHAM, N.C. -- Durham police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a domestic assault that left a female with several broken bones in her face and ruptured blood vessels in her eyes. Police have charged 20-year-old Deangelo John Ferrell with first-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, assault inflicting serious injury and communicating threats for an assault that happened Friday afternoon. - (Tyrone N. Kenerly says death penalty possible in woman?s murder - sexual assault of 2-year-old girl  A man charged with murdering a 26-year-old Salisbury woman and trying to kill her 2-year-old daughter in 2004 may face the death penalty if convicted. Authorities returned Shawn Louis Goodman to Rowan County from a federal prison for Thursday?s hearing, at which he was also read the charges against him and asked to enter a plea. Goodman pleaded not guilty in the murder of Kristina Celeste Mack and the sexual assault and attempted murder of her daughter. Death penalty sought against dark beast accused of raping, killing girl, 5 A man charged with the 1994 sexual assault and death of his then-girlfriend Pennie Griffin's 5-year-old daughter Felicia Griffin will become Hinds County's first death penalty case in nearly 10 years. Peterson said black jurors will vote for the death penalty if the circumstances warrant it, especially if a child is involved. Felicia died at the home her mother shared with Moffett on Lynda Street. Moffett reported to police he found Felicia on the bed bleeding after he came home from a bar. The child's mother, Pennie Griffin, couldn't be reached for comment. Black burglars break into home - roast pet dog in the oven  Two people are in jail after being arrested for burglarizing a Southside Savannah woman's home. Not only are they being charged with burglary, one of them is also being charged with animal cruelty. Police say the crime committed inside the home was unimaginable. "The officer came in, did a further search," said Burnsed. "It was the officers who found the dog in the oven." After receiving an anonymous tip police arrested Alexander Davis and Evelyn Williams, who was found with Davis at a pawn shop trying to sell items stolen from the house. While investigators continue their investigation, they say what was found in the home was one of the most disturbing discoveries they've ever made. Naked Man Charged in Multiple Break-Ins, Assaults on women and children  Police have arrested a 28-year old in connection with a series of break-ins and assaults on women and children. Wardell Leggon, Jr., is charged with two counts of breaking and entering with the intent to assault, four counts of assault and battery and two counts of indecent exposure. Officials say it was just before 7:00am when they received a call from a female resident advising that an unknown, naked male forced his way into her residence and assaulted her. Moments later, police received another call from an individual in the same area indicating that a naked male had been seen in the area. As officers arrived on the scene, a third call came from a female resident saying that an unknown, naked male had entered her residence. Rape suspect busted A Tampa rape suspect, Marcus Davidson, allegedly offered a ride home to a woman he met at a bar. During the drive, he started driving recklessly so she could not get away. Davidson then allegedly put his hands around the victim's neck, demanded sex from her and raped her. She was eventually able to escape and ran to a nearby home, whose occupants called 911. The Police Department responded, spotted the suspect's car, stopped his vehicle and arrested him. Davidson first denied having sex with the victim, but later said it was consensual. Black-on-black crime: Mother Arrested After 3-Year-Old Shoots 10-Year-Old Sistah  A Miami Gardens woman was arrested this morning and charged with child neglect after her 3-year-old son shot her 10-year-old daughter Monday afternoon. Sherice Latimore, 27, left a small-caliber handgun on a sofa in her home. Her 3-year-old son got a hold of the weapon and shot his sister in the chest. of Character month. Five or six years ago the newsmedia saturated us with negritude 24/7 during February. The American people aren't as dumb as they look; we can only take so much celebrating the inventions of the biscuit cutter, the door knob, the curtain rod, the door stop and the super soaker water gun. Many of these claims are seen for what they are and other negro claims of invention have been definitively debunked. It became buffoonish after a while and I believe that the newsmedia recognized that. As negroes grasp at straws to find any boost for their fragile self esteem, we simply look to modern Africa or our local newspapers to see the negro in it's natural state: murderous, self absorbed, vicious, incompetent, and always whining that white people don't like them. Well tell me this, what is there to like? Sure, there may exist certain individuals of color who are decent folk, but who has the time and energy to go through city busloads of negroes until you find one like that?
