Jabar gets 99 years for raping 3 young girls An Angelina County jury handed down the maximum punishment Friday to a Lufkin man convicted of sexually abusing three young girls. Jabar Smith Young, 23, received 99 years in prison on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and 20 years in prison on three counts of indecency with a child by contact. The girls, one who is 10 years old and the other two who are 11-year-old twins, testified earlier this week that Young molested them on several occasions two years ago The girls used rag dolls to depict anal rape, among other forms of abuse, while testifying before jurors. - (Newsroom) |
| UK: Nigerian in dock for rape and murder A NIGERIAN national is due to stand trial this autumn for the rape and murder of a Belfast mother-of-one. Emmanuelle Alauya was charged last month with killing shop assistant Grace Moore in 2006. Her body was found in the kitchen of the Erris Grove hoem she shared with her daughter. After hearing the arguments, Mr Justice Hart said he was satisfied for Alauya to be charged with rape. Illegal Immigrant Charged In Rape Of Girl, 15 Ariz. -- An illegal immigrant has been arrested on suspicion of raping and kidnapping a 15-year-old girl at her Guadalupe home, Maricopa County sheriff's deputies said. The MCSO Special Victims Unit arrested Jose Dolores Montoya Sanchez, 24. Sanchez was booked into the Maricopa County jail late Wednesday on one count of sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and two counts sexual abuse. Sheriff's deputies said they began investigating the case when the victim disclosed that Sanchez sexually assaulted her at a Guadalupe home. - (Newsroom) - (Invasion!) |
Black ex-con confesses to stabbing 92-year-old White woman to death  CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A man with a long criminal history stands accused of murdering a 92-year-old woman in Charlotte. Gordon Franklin McMullen, 47, of Charlotte was back behind bars in the Mecklenburg County Jail Monday. He is accused of stabbing 92-year-old Mildred Clontz to death earlier this month. Police said he is not a stranger to crime and is a career criminal. He began committing crimes in 1980 at the age of 20, where he was charged with credit card theft. More criminal charges followed in 1982 for larceny and in 1983 for counterfeiting. Police said McMullen was busy in 1985, charged with speeding from police, larceny and more counterfeiting. In 1987, he graduated to armed robbery; he was convicted on three robbery charges and deemed a habitual felon. Last week, police charged McMullen with Clontz's murder. Black on death row for the rape of his 8-year-old stepdaughter Patrick Kennedy, 43, would be the first convicted rapist in 44 years to be executed in a case in which the victim was not killed. He was sentenced to die in 2003 for sexually assaulting his 8-year-old stepdaughter in her bed. In addition to severe emotional trauma, the attack caused internal injuries and bleeding to the child, requiring extensive surgery, Louisiana prosecutors said. Both in 1976 and a year later, the U.S. Supreme Court banned capital punishment for rape -- and, by implication, any other crime except murder. But 19 years later, Louisiana passed a law allowing execution for the sexual violation of a child under 12. Black inmate charged in rape of female corrections officer
in the jail's law library  A female corrections officer who does paralegal work at the Duval County jail was raped about 11 a.m. Thursday during an appointment with an inmate in the facility's law library. The 29-year veteran with the department was alone in the library when the inmate came in, threatened her with a shank and attacked her, Rutherford said. He said the officer was treated after what he called a vicious beating and sexual assault. Jonathan Tave, 26, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound inmate who has been jailed since January 2005, was charged with four counts of sexual battery, aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer, kidnapping, two counts of depriving an officer of a means of protection of communication, possession of a concealed weapon by a felon and two counts of evidence tampering. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |

Texas Rangers investigating polygamy case - arrest black woman in hoax  Texas Rangers participated in the arrest of a Colorado woman who allegedly pretended to be a girl locked in a basement. The Rangers were in the state as part of their investigation into the Texas polygamy custody battle, local police said. It was unclear if the arrest was related to the phone call from a woman who claimed to be a 16-year-old girl, a phone call that sparked what has become one of the largest child custody cases in U.S. history.
Colorado Springs police said they arrested Rozita Swinton last night on local charges of pretending to be a girl locked in a basement, claiming abuse and calling authorities for help.

Kenneth Bernard was charged Sunday evening with child abuse, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, possession of a controlled substance without a prenoscription and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tampa police arrest "Hispanic" black sex offender vermin for 4th time TAMPA -- Police arrested a sex offender for the 4th time after he was seen masturbating in front of two child inside a store. Fermin Martinez-Ramos has a criminal history with Tampa Police. This time two girls ages 9 and 4 confirmed to police he was masturbating in front of them at the Main Street Grocery store Sunday evening. Black nurse accused of sexual assault only gets probation in plea agreement A nurse accused of sexually assaulting two patients and inappropriately touching another at Central Florida hospitals agreed Monday to forgo a jury trial and instead serve 15 years' probation as part of a plea agreement in one case. Kevin Laing, 46, of Winter Park could have faced up to 17 years in prison if convicted of sexual battery, exposure of organs and battery stemming from an assault at Health Central hospital in Ocoee last year. Laing pleaded no contest to the charges, which involved a 38-year-old woman in the intensive-care unit. In addition to serving probation, Laing will be a designated sex offender and have to wear a GPS monitoring device. - (Newsroom) |

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — An Alabama woman charged with beating and kicking a woman she said cut in line at a Walt Disney World attraction was convicted of battery Friday and faces up to a year in jail. Victoria Walker, 51, of Anniston, Ala., had faced 15 years in prison if convicted of a felony charge of aggravated battery. A jury convicted her of the lesser charge, however.
