White Mayor shot by crazed black gunman is improving * Ref: The gunman Charles Lee "Cookie" Thornton   The condition of Kirkwood Mayor Mike Swoboda was upgraded Friday to serious from critical, but a family spokesman said his recovery from the shooting at Kirkwood City Hall would take months. "His activities continue to increase," Tom Noonan, the spokesman, said of Swoboda. "He's looking around and shaking hands to some extent." Noonan spoke to reporters at St. John's Mercy Medical Center, where Swoboda is being treated. Swoboda, 69, was shot twice in the head Feb. 7. Black Deputy Who Dumped Paralyzed White Man Out Of Wheelchair Arrested For Abuse * Arrested  A Hillsborough County, Florida sheriff's deputy who was caught on a surveillance video dumping a quadriplegic out of a wheelchair has been charged with abuse of a disabled person, a third-degree felony. The deputy, Charlette Marshall-Jones, 44, has been suspended without pay over the Jan. 29 incident. After an arrest warrant was issued, Marshall-Jones turned herself in and was booked into jail early Saturday. The victim, Brian Sterner, 32, has been paralyzed since a 1994 wrestling accident. Three other deputies have also been placed on administrative leave over the incident. Jeremy Shields met his coworker, Wendy Sue Logsdon, at a Louisville bar Jan. 18 and had sex with her in his car. A hunter found the burning remains of the Louisville woman in a remote location.

Black cop Bobby Cutts Jr. Receives Seven Guilty Verdicts for the Murder of white girlfriend Jessie Davis  CANTON, Ohio -- The toddler's words to investigators were chilling: "Mommy's crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy's in the rug," and, later, "Daddy's mad." The statements by the 2 1/2-year-old son of former police officer Bobby Cutts Jr. and his pregnant lover, Jessie Davis, were investigators' first clues that Cutts may have had something to do with her disappearance. A jury decided on Friday that he did. Cutts was convicted of killing Davis and her unborn fetus, a verdict that could land him a death sentence. Black accused of raping a mentally-disabled woman at Cleveland church Marshall Berry, 47, was arrested after a tipster read the Fugitive of the Week story in the Sunday Plain Dealer, Deputy Marshal Brian Fitzgibbon said.
The tipster called 9-1-1 and Cleveland police found Berry at 3 a.m. in a house in the 2700 block of Community College Avenue.

Shazjuan Sadiq Shabazz Charged With Kidnapping, Raping Woman From Outside Wal-Mart A woman says she was kidnapped and raped at gunpoint, and police say they have her attacker behind bars. Tthe woman's attacker first asked for help late Saturday night outside Wal-Mart on Road 18 then he forced her to drive away from the store where the victim told police he raped her. The victim told police she was at the Wal-Mart when she came out of the store, and a man approached her asking for help because his vehicle was broken down. She said sure and he got in her car and it wasn't long before she says he showed a gun and told her this is a robbery. She says he forced her to pull over about a mile from the Wal-Mart where she told him she didn’t' have anything. Then, she says with a gun to her head, he raped her then got out and walked away. Police arrested 42-year-old Shazjuan Sadiq Shabazz. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |

Justin Albert Johnson, confessed to rape and strangulation of two little 3-year-old girls Last week, authorities charged Justin Albert Johnson, 51, in the 1992 rape and murder of 3-year-old Christine Jackson. Among the pieces of evidence against Johnson are the alleged confession and DNA linking him to the crime. Johnson had confessed to the 1990 murder of 3-year-old Courtney Smith who was abducted from her home and raped before she was killed. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Black Cincinnati Cop Goes To Trial on Rape Charges  The trial begins for a Cincinnati Police officer accused of raping a crime victim. Jury selection is underway in the trial of William Simpson. The 46-year-old is charged with three counts of rape and three counts of sexual battery. Prosecutors say Simpson insisted on taking pictures of woman's injuries from an assault in October. Deputy foiled a rape in progress by black  A Broward Sheriff's deputy prevented a potential rape by sneaking up on a suspect who was forcing himself on a homeless woman in a strip mall alley Saturday morning. Deputy Eric Rodriguez arrived at the shopping center shortly after 5 a.m. after a resident heard screams for help coming from the area, according to a Sheriff's Office report Monday. While the deputy investigated the scene, he found a man trying to sexually assault a woman at knife point. Investigators identified the suspect as David Gervin, 26, a registered sex offender. Black Elementary School lunchroom worker arrested for rape of 15-year-old girl A man charged with having sex with a Kansas teenager he brought to Alabama was fired Monday night from his job as a lunchroom worker at Maxwell Elementary School. Prince Leon Knight, 37, was charged with second-degree rape after police found the 15-year-old at his mother’s apartment. She had been reported missing by her parents on Jan. 28. Police say that the teenager voluntarily came to Alabama with Knight. Her parents arrived in Tuscaloosa at to pick up their daughter. Black Deacon accused of rape inside Miami church MIAMI - A church deacon was jailed, accused of raping a 15-year-old girl inside the place of worship. Irvin Van Jenkins, 46, told police he did not have intercourse with the girl during the attack at United House of Prayer. The girl had been sent to the second floor to look through some files when Jenkins stopped her in the hallway and began to molest her, police said. Jenkins asked the girl for sex and she refused. Jenkins then grabbed the teen by the waist and began pushing her into a room. Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church official accused of raping 12-year-old girl  The 31-year-old music director of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal, an influential West Baltimore church, was in jail yesterday on charges that he raped and abused a 12-year-old female parishioner during three encounters, city police and church officials said. Timothy D. Price III has been held in lieu of $1 million bail at Baltimore's Central Booking and Intake Center since he was arrested. A Chattanooga Negro wanted for rape has turned himself (in)  Police last week asked Channel-3 Eyewitness News to feature the story about the wanted fugitive,Christopher Jermaine Kelley. He's accused of breaking into an apartment at Harriet Tubman homes, burglarizing the place and raping the woman who lived there. Police say Kelley surrendered because it had "got too hot out there". Jackson Negro pleads guilty to aggravated statutory rape A 38-year-old Jackson man has pleaded guilty to aggravated statutory rape, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. Michael Demetrius Rivers, 38, pleaded guilty to aggravated statutory rape in connection with his April 4, 2007, arrest. Fort Worth Negro sentenced in rape, standoff FORT WORTH -- A 59-year-old man who raped his girlfriend and, hours later, shot three people and held his girlfriend's 4-year-old nephew hostage is on his way to prison. On Friday, jurors in state District Judge Mollee Westfall's court deliberated less than an hour before sentencing Joe Dickson to 11 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault and 17 years for aggravated kidnapping. Black AWOL Airman Wanted In Kidnapping, Sexual Assault On Wife, Baby BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A man AWOL from his post at a North Carolina base is wanted on charges that he held his wife hostage, attempted to sexually assault her, then shot at her while he was holding a 5-month-old baby. Police responded to a report of domestic violence at the couple's Altama Avenue apartment at 1 p.m. Monday. The wife said Darryl Green, 20, had barricaded them inside and would not let her leave. Grand Jury Declines to Indict Black Council Member accused of raping an 18-year-old woman. A grand jury in Kentucky has declined to indict a Lumberton City Council member who had been accused of raping an 18-year-old woman. A Jefferson County grand jury declined Monday to indict John Cantey Jr. on a rape charge.
Cantey was arrested October 20, 2007 and charged with first-degree rape. The woman said she was raped at a hotel in Jeffersontown, Kentucky. Cantey was traveling with the rap artist Juvenile, who had performed in Frankfort, Kentucky. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
