White school dean gunned down by two black youths   Baltimore County police arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of a private boys school dean Friday night.
Police said John Edward Kennedy, 18, of Essex, and Javon Clark, 18, of Middle River, were arrested Sunday evening. They were charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of William Bassett. Bassett, 58, was shot and killed near the Nordstrom's entrance at the Towson
Town Center at around 8 p.m. Friday a short distance from his car. Police said
the two men were attempting to rob Bassett when they shot him with a shotgun. - (Gman) -

Black youth gets 27 years for murder   The youngest person ever convicted of murder in Hamilton County will spend the next 27 years behind bars. On Tuesday morning a judge sentenced David Harris for robbing and shooting David Hutchinson to death in Over-The-Rhine in May 2004. Earlier this month, Harris was convicted of killing Hutchinson but acquitted in the death of George Vance. Harris was just 14 at the time of the murder. - (Tyrone N. Butts) |

ID Theft Probe Snares Ex-IRS Worker - Feds Pledge Vigorous Enforcement of Law in Case ATLANTA -- A federal grand jury has accused a former Internal Revenue Service employee of providing acquantainces with tax records that allegedly were used in an identity theft scheme. Michael Sapp, 44, of Douglasville was charged with unauthorized access of a
government computer, U.S. Attorney David E. Nahmias said Tuesday. The charge
carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

Buck Naked Man Allegedly Steals Police Cruiser - Suspect Allegedly Bit Two People "It was really, really weird to see a man, as cold as it was (and) snowing, running around buck naked," said Theodore Griffin.
Griffin, 64, said that he was driving about 1:40 Monday morning when Carlton Taylor jumped in front of his car.
"He grabs his hand and pushes my window down, and I take off dragging this guy down the street about three-quarters of a block," Griffin said.
Taylor managed to open the car door and pull him out of his car. When officers tried to arrest him several blocks away he jumped in their police car and took off, but not before

Life Without Parole for DeAnthony Germaine Griffin  Convicted triple murderer DeAnthony Griffin will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Both families know each other and say they understand each other's pain. Neither side believes Griffin got what he deserved. Griffin was sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing David Cribbs, Sr., his 28-year-old son David Cribbs, Jr., and his 18-year-old daughter Ashley Cribbs. Police found their bodies on Ebeneezer Road on October 25, 2002.

Andre Thomas charged with three counts of murder, but this trial is only for the murder of 13 month-old Leah  The courthouse was filled with family and friends of both the defendant Andre Lee Thomas and murder victim Laura Boren Thomas, and her two children four year-old Andre Boren and 13 month-old Leah Hughes. Andre Thomas is charged with three counts of capital murder, but this trial is only for the murder of Leah. The infant was murdered and had her heart ripped from her tiny chest. Thomas has since plucked out his right eye and duct taped his own mouth because he said god was speaking to him. Thomas thought God was telling him his son was the anti-Christ. A serial sex attacker who raped a teenage girl while she was on the phone to police pleading for help is facing years behind bars.
Mondre Dickerson, a defensive lineman from Melrose High kicked off the University of Tennessee football team in 2003 after a rape allegation that was later dropped, has been indicted on a new rape charge. Dickerson, 22, could face eight to 12 years in prison if convicted on the felony rape indictment returned by a Knox County grand jury on Tuesday, according to documents filed Thursday.
