Black pimp: 4 sentenced for Prostituting 13-Year-Old White Girl   CLEVELAND -- Four people convicted of leading a 13-year-old girl into prostitution were in court to face their sentence. The young victim, now 15, explained how her life went terribly wrong.
She was just 13 years old when Anthony Freeman (pictured) promoted her as a prostitute. Freeman was sentenced to only four years in prison on four counts of promoting prostitution.

Chicago police order sex offender - former U.S. Rep. Mel Reynolds to move out of house near a school  CHICAGO Former U-S Representative Mel Reynolds has been ordered to leave his Chicago home because it is located near a school. Police gave Reynolds 30 days to move in mid-January. State law prohibits sex offenders from living within 500 feet of a dense concentration of children. Reynolds resigned his House seat in 1995 after being convicted of having sex with a 16-year-old campaign worker. Reynolds served a total of 2 1/2 years in prison before "First Black President" Clinton commuted his prison term in 2001. |
UK Sports: African Footballer Tried to Rape Me, Waitress Tells Court  A teenage waitress told a jury today how a professional footballer tried to rape her after dragging her into a hotel bathroom. The girl described how Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo pulled her into his room while he was staying with his team-mates at a hotel in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. She said she was walking past Room 101 of the hotel, where 25-year-old Agogo was staying, when she saw him standing in the doorway dressed only in a pair of shorts. The teenager, who is now 17 but was 16 and still at school at the time of the incident, said: “He shouted my name. Kidnapped 14-year-old girl safe after arrest of 39-year-old Michael Hightower  Michael Hightower kidnapped the girl from her home. "He was armed with a handgun when he forced his way into the house and he hit the 80-year-old grandfather over the head with a gun and took his wallet, keys to his car and some money," Hoffman said. "Then he took his car, the one on the Amber alert." Hightower faces charges in Georgia of kidnapping, aggravated assault on a person over the age of 60, theft by taking auto and armed robbery. - (Tyrone N. Butts) |
Pigg fatally shot Nashville: The gunman fatally wounded on Century Street is identified as Deedrick Montale Pigg, 25, of Rowan Drive. The man who shot Pigg, Charles Edward Bowers, 51, who operates a North Nashville market, reported that he had just pulled into his driveway and was getting out of his car when he saw a gunman (Pigg) coming toward him from behind a house across the street. Bowers was also carrying a pistol and turned to face Pigg. Bowers said Pigg fired at him, but missed. Bowers returned fire. Pigg was struck one time in the face and fled. He collapsed and was rushed to General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. - (Rasp) |
Sports: Ex-footballer Duerson - Notre Dame Board of Trustees member resigns after being charged with battery Dave Duerson, who played football for the (black) Irish, was a member of the Chicago Bears and a Notre Dame Board of Trustees member, has been charged with striking his wife while visiting South Bend last week. St. Joseph County prosecutor Mike Dvorak filed battery charges against Dave Duerson. Duerson and his wife got into an argument in their room and Duerson hit his wife in their room at the Morris Inn just last Thursday. Duerson then pushed his wife out the door of their room and she hit the wall. - (more sports) |

Police: Woman says she starved children to death - Alabama mother charged with killing her 3 kids (CNN) -- A Huntsville, Alabama, woman charged with capital murder in the deaths of her three children told investigators she "deliberately starved her children to death," a police spokesman said Saturday. Nathshay Yvonne Ward, 33, is charged with killing Shanieka Y. Ward, 11; Latricia Ward, 9; and Christopher O. Ward, 8.
"She told investigators that she deliberately starved her children to death. They did appear to be malnourished," Wendell Johnson of the Huntsville police said. Autopsies will determine how and when they died, he said. - (forum) |
Youngest Murder Suspect Found Guilty In One Killing  CINCINNATI -- The youngest murder suspect ever tried in Hamilton County was found guilty of one murder. David Harris had been charged with shooting and robbing two men when he was 14
last year.
He could face life in prison when he is scheduled for sentencing in a few weeks. A Hamilton County jury found him guilty of murder and aggravated robbery in the

Police Warn Of HIV-Infected, Predatory Sex Offender
Parole Conditions Prohibit Unprotected Sex  PORTLAND -- Police want women to know about a predatory sex offender recently released from prison. Kenneth Miller is living at in transitional housing in downtown Portland. The 35-year-old has a history of unprotected sex with women and girls, intentionally exposing them to HIV. His youngest victim is 15, and one woman has tested HIV-positive. "His parole conditions prohibit him from having unprotected sex with anyone who is not HIV infected," He is also prohibited from contact with minors and from entering bars or taverns. FBI Arrests Teen On Vegas Rape, Kidnapping Charges Los Angeles - A 19-year-old teenager was arrested Friday in connection with kidnapping, rape and assault with a deadly weapon charges in Las Vegas, according to the FBI.
Authorities arrested Urlin Lloyd Clark, who was hiding in a bedroom closet in Alhambra. He was taken to the Los Angeles Police Department's headquarters, and he is expected to be extradited to Las Vegas

New Orleans Negro Sought In Armed Robbery Of 82-Year-Old Woman New Orleans police have issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with the armed robbery of an 82-year-old woman. According to investigators, Lawrence Barra, 57, arrived at the woman's St.
Philip Street home Thursday at 9:15 a.m. to install new flooring.
Police said Barra saw some money on a table, produced a handgun and demanded that the woman give him the cash. She complied.
