  A 15-year-old girl, selling candy and cookies from a box for a fundraiser, was assaulted Sunday about 4 p.m. The unidentified man told the teen to accompany him to his car so he could pay for the treats, he then pulled her into his vehicle and sexually assaulted her. Her attacker is described as a black man in his late 30s, about 6-foot-2, 250 pounds, with a light complexion. Also, in Center City, a woman was raped in her apartment on Thursday. He got inside, robbed the woman of $20 and raped her before fleeing, police said. The rapist is described as a black man about 40 years old, 6-feet, 200 pounds. • Break in 1970 Cop Killing Revives Era
  ST. PAUL, Minn. -- In 1970, Officer James T. Sackett had just returned to work, three weeks after the birth of his fourth child, when the call came in: A woman was in labor and needed help. Sackett and his partner arrived shortly after midnight at the address the caller gave. When nobody answered their knock at the door, Sackett's partner went around the back. A moment later, Sackett was shot in the back. The call was a fake, police said, the killing an assassination. Authorities have made arrests in the crime, charging two black men who allegedly sympathized with the Black Panther movement around the time of the white officer's killing. Police arrested Ronald Lindsey Reed, 54, of Chicago, and Larry Larue Clark, 53, of St. Paul, on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy.
