| Settlement of "reverse discrimination" against Airforce by White males includes payment of approximately $880,000 to former and current white male Robins Air Force Base workers. "A lot of people - base employees especially - didn't think white males had rights and that white males couldn't beat the government, but we did win," plaintiff Willie Barber of Warner Robins said Thursday. "We did not just beat Robins Air Force Base, we beat the entire Air Force and the U.S. Justice Department." Workers claimed that the Air Force gave female and minority workers preferential treatment in annual performance appraisals based on an outdated affirmative action policy, Coffman said. Sports: Footballer indicted on new rape charge Former University of Tennessee footballer Mondre Dickerson has been indicted on a rape charge. Dickerson was kicked off the Vols football team in 2003 after a rape allegation was made. It was later dropped. The indictment returned concerns another case and alleges the 22-year-old, 290-pound athlete attacked a woman in her apartment on June 19th. A warrant wasn't issued until November 18th. Dickerson was arrested 10 days later. He was freed the next day on a $25,000 bond and ordered to stay away from the 30-year-old woman.

Police Seek Middletown Rape Suspect
Antwan Hall  Police need your help finding a suspect they say beat up and raped a woman while robbing a Middletown bar. An arrest warrant has been issued for Antwan Hall for the January robbery and assault at Tina's Bar and Bistro. Hall is believed to be from Dayton. Willie Junior's death ruled suicide; he drank antifreeze Fla. A medical examiner says a former Escambia County, Florida, commissioner who was looking at a possible prison term on corruption charges killed himself by drinking antifreeze. Willie Junior's decomposed body was found a little over two months ago. He had vanished the day before he was supposed to be sentenced on 11 criminal charges. Some of those charges were linked to a bribery scandal involving the county's purchase of a former soccer complex.Ref: Junior to plead guiltyLeader could get 18-month jail term |

Afro-American Education: Franklin Middle School Teacher Charged With Rape An art teacher at Franklin's J.P. King Middle School was arrested last week and charged with rape. Clinton Smith, 49, was arrested Friday after officials say a DNA analysis of forensic evidence in the rape case came back positive. The alleged rape happened in April of last year and involved a young adult under the age of 21. Police say the alleged victim was not a juvenile. Officials say Smith only recently became a suspect. Police say they did not let School administrators know about the possibility of charges against Smith until the day he was arrested. - (Tyrone N. Butts) |
Afro-American Education: "X-rated" High School Teacher Resigns After Sex Crimes Alleged
 A Ferris High School teacher resigned after accusations of having a sexual relationship with a student. And Spokane police want to know why the Spokane Public School District waited before telling Child Protective Services. A school district investigation found Sayeed X wrote love notes to a then-sophomore student. It also uncovered an ongoing and escalating sexual relationship on school grounds. X agreed to resign in early February. State law requires the school to notify CPS within 48 hours of learning about such allegations, then CPS must report it immediately to police. - (Alex) |
Two dark intruders rape 13-year-old girl - set her hair on fire  Two men are accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl and setting her hair on fire.
The 13-year-old said she was home alone, asleep, when the two men entered the home through an open door and attacked her. The men allegedly fled the home with the teen's computer. She was able to put
the fire out in a bathroom..
Ronald Kinney, 18, and Andres Montgomery, 25, were charged last Friday with first-degree criminal sexual conduct,
first-degree home invasion and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less
than murder.

New Olreans Man Sought For Forcible Rape New Orleans police have issued an arrest warrant for Jeremy Jenkins, 22, wanted in connection with the Jan. 16 rape of a 25-year-old woman. The attack occurred at about 11:30 a.m. in the 600 block North Pierce Street.
According to investigators, the suspect entered the victim's home and sexually assaulted her.

New Orleans Homeless Man Sought In Sexual Battery, Beating Of Tourist  New Orleans police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a tourist in the French Quarter. Frederick West, 47, whom police say is homeless, faces one count of sexual battery and one count of aggravated battery in an Oct. 2 attack on a 19-year-old woman from California. The attack occurred at 4:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Decatur Street. According to investigators, the victim was sleeping behind a business when she was awakened by West, who molested her and hit her repeatedly in the face, head and torso with a 4-foot wooden dowel. - (Tyrone N. South Africa Sports: Footballer Benedict Vilakazi charged with raping a 15-year old girl Prosecutors allege that Benedict Vilakazi , who is married with two children, went to the girl's home on 27 January and asked to use the bathroom. Once inside, he allegedly called the girl to the bathroom and raped her. The rape charge come only a few months after Pirates renewed a pledge denouncing violence against women and children, saying it was "like waging a war on ourselves as a nation". Vilakazi is the second Bafana-Bafana player in just over a week to have a brush with the law. Last weekend Steven Pienaar spent the night in a Dutch jail, after his girlfriend laid a charge of assault against him.
