Orlando Alvarez rolled into Gloversville two years ago to rape and murder a 14-year-old girl Alvarez attacked the teenager, Shauna Beekman, when she arrived home from school, sexually assaulting her before slashing her throat. Beekman, a freshman honors student at Gloversville High School, was the daughter of Alvarez's former live-in girlfriend. He was captured several hours later as he tried to transfer his bloody clothes from one car to another in a Wal-Mart parking lot on the outskirts of Albany. On Aug. 17, Alvarez was sentenced to 50 years to life in state prison for murder. - (White Boy) |
Nevada Girl Was Abducted by Convicted Sex Offender and Taken to Mexico RENO, Nev. Jul 31, 2005 — 8-year-old Lydia Bethany-Rose Rupp was abducted by a convicted sex offender who took her to Mexico, where the two were found staying in a shelter, authorities said. Officials in Mexico and the United States said the girl was sexually assaulted by Fernando Aguerro, who is accused of kidnapping her from her home near Reno on July 22. Suspects In Murder Of Tampa Millionaire Caught In Jacksonville Jacksonville police have arrested a man and woman accused of killing a multi-millionaire who lived near Tampa. Sheriff's officers took Nathaniel Jackson and Victoria Jackson, not related, into custody after receiving a tip. The victim, Jeffrey Dampier Jr. , 39, won a $20 million jackpot in the Illinois Lottery several years ago. He had moved with his family to Hillsborough County to open a popcorn store. Police say Victoria Jackson is Dampier's sister-in-law, and Nathaniel Jackson, her boyfriend. Detectives say Nathaniel Jackson continued to demand money and pistol-whipped Dampier as they drove. They say Victoria Jackson took the gun and shot Dampier, leaving his body inside his van. - (Brewski, Aryan Barbarian) |
Teen Shot 17-Year-Old After He Cashed Lottery Ticket DANIA BEACH, Fla. -- A teen has been arrested in the shooting death of another teen who was on his way to cash a winning lottery ticket. Javarous (or Javarious) Dawson, 17, is being held without bond on charges of murder and armed robbery. Investigators said Dawson has confessed to shooting Phillip Maxwell in June during a robbery attempt in Dania Beach. Maxwell, who was also 17, had just left a neighborhood store after cashing a winning $25 lottery ticket when, police said, Dawson confronted him and shot him to death. - (aryan_barbarian) - (crime) |
Bond Ordered For Woman Charged In Former Executive's Murder COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Bond was set at $1 million on Thursday for a woman who was arrested Wednesday night and charged with murder. Detra N. March was charged in connection with the July 10 murder of Barry D. Jones. Registered Sex Offender Arrested On Rape Charges DURHAM, N.C. -- A registered sex offender has been arrested and charged with sexual assaults involving two teenage girls. Santiago Bonee Elliott, 32, was first arrested on June 17 after officers stopped a car for a traffic violation. When officers approached the car, they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and also noticed that Elliott's pants were undone and that there was a 13-year-old girl in the back seat. Elliott was charged with one count of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of statutory rape in that case. Second man arrested in Holland assault case A second man accused of assaulting a woman in Holland has been arrested in Chicago.Police say Phillip Flournoy was one of two men who beat a woman in Holland June 1. They say the victim was gagged and sent running into the street naked. Police in Chicago pulled Flournoy over on a traffic stop June 28, and then found drugs in his car. But when Flournoy was arrested, he gave police a fake name. Police sergeant faces civil service board over assault allegations The Civil Service Board ordered the hearing of a 25-year veteran of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department fighting sexual assault charges to reconvene at a later date. Sergeant Alex Vinson is the officer accused of groping a gas station employee while on a routine stop. His hearing began at 8 a.m. Friday and was cut short just before 10 p.m., when the woman recording the case said she could not keep going. Police Capture Tree Limb Beating, Robbery Suspect Authorities in Seminole County, Fla., arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion he beat a woman with a thick tree limb while robbing a storage facility earlier this week. Investigators believe Jermaine Seymore attacked Lisa Boyer outside the Alafaya Self Storage facility just south of Oviedo, Fla., Monday night. Boyer was beaten repeatedly with the branch inside the building. She was able to escape the attack through a back window, and then the suspect ran off. Elderly man followed home from Target Store, robbed TAMARAC, Fla. -- Broward deputies are searching for four people who followed a 91-year-old man home from a Target retail store and robbed him. The Broward Sheriff's Office says surveillance video shows a woman and three men watching Israel Widlansky as he purchased items at Target on Friday and put cash in his right front pocket. When he returned to the laundry room, Widlansky didn't see the woman but he was approached from behind and forced to the ground. He said a man reached into his right front pocket and stole his cash, but did not take his wallet, which was in his back pocket. 12 Years For Black Baseball Bat Killer The black 13-year-old boy who killed Jeremy Rourke with a baseball bat after a Pony League game was ordered Thursday to a youth detention center until he turns 25. A lawyer had argued that his client was acting in self-defense. Mom Sentenced After Son Shoots Mailman Latoya Burnette, tThe mother of a 9-year-old boy who "accidentally" shot and killed Clayton Smith, a White postal carrier was sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison for illegally owning a gun and lying to federal authorities. Latoya Burnette, 31, of Butner, N.C., tearfully apologized and asked for lenience, saying her son and two daughters needed her at home. "I'm very, very sorry," Burnette said. Ramirez To Be Charged With Officer's Shooting Death Irving Ramirez will be formally charged for the shooting death of San Leandro Police Officer Dan Niemi, who was shot while on patrol. His family say they're demanding justice. Neimi's brother said the voice of victims must be heard. Niemi's widow Dionne Niemi expressed gratitude to the people who helped police catch her husband's alleged killer. . Suspected Serial Rapist Arrested, Accused Of Targeting Prostitutes JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police have arrested a suspected serial rapist who they said preyed on prostitutes. Milton Boston Jr. faces 25 charges, including sexual battery, aggravated assault, kidnapping and robbery, in connection with 13 sexual assaults. " Milton Boston, targeted women, predominately with a history of prostitution," Bowen said. "They typically would be walking in the street and he would engage them in some form of communication. At some point, some of the women would enter into a vehicle with Boston, and then he would strangle the victim to the point of unconsciousness." - (Rasp) |
Virginia Beach Man Sentenced for Abducting, Raping Exotic Dancer A man who abducted and raped an exotic dancer last year will spend the next ten years in prison. Wednesday a Virginia Beach judge sentenced Sean Omar Wilmont to 30 years behind bars, but suspended twenty. Police say the 23-year-old sailor abducted and raped an exotic dancer on Christmas Eve at a residence in the 5500 block of Magnolia Circle. Police officer facing charge of sexual assault on 14-year-old A Bowman police officer was arrested and charged with assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct in connection with an incident involving a 14-year-old girl. Harry Lee Tucker, 38, was arrested and is being held. According to an affidavit, Tucker took the girl "against her will by force and threat of authority," and "did transport the minor ... to an area where the minor had no recourse but to do as the officer instructed." Man Charged With Sexual Assault At Water Country PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- A 19-year-old man was charged with sexually assaulting two teenage girls at Water Country on Sunday. Christopher Andino, of Lynn, Mass., was released on bail and ordered to stay away from two girls he allegedly assaulted in a crowded pool at the water park. Sex offender got 11-year-old drunk, then pregnant TAMPA - A registered sex offender is in jail, accused of getting an 11-year-old girl pregnant. Hillsborough County deputies say Ordray Smith, 31, got the girl drunk last August and then had sex with her. Deputies say the suspect admitted to the crime during a taped telephone conversation with the victim's mother, who had contacted authorities about the alleged abuse The girl is now 12 and has had the baby; tests are being conducted to confirm the paternity. - (White Boy) |
Norfolk Man Wanted on Rape Charge in Suffolk Suffolk police are looking for a man they say broke into the residence of an ex-girlfriend and physically and sexually assaulted her Sunday morning. According to authorities, the incident happened around 4:00am in a home on North 6th Street. Officials say the victim was treated for broken bones in her face. Police have outstanding warrants on file for 24-year old Gary L. Lawe, of the 1300 block of Hanson Avenue in Norfolk. Rape suspect Darius pleads not guilty - claims "consensual sex" A man being held in connection to several area rape cases has pleaded not guilty in Albany County Court. Darius Ashley, 29, of Albany was charged with rape and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arrested after a woman accused him of forcing her into his car and raping her back on July 9. Albany police are looking into whether Ashley has any connection to the murder of 14-year-old Gretchen Perham and an attack on another Albany teen.
