Black man charged in White police officer’s death faces death penalty  INDIANAPOLIS — The man charged in the death of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Perry Renn now officially faces the death penalty. Earlier this month, Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said he would seek the death penalty in Major Davis Jr.’s murder case. Davis is charged with murder, accusing of shooting and killing Officer Renn in July at 34th Street and Forest Manor Avenue. “It is clear that there are those in our city who believe that our police officers are fair game,” “Make no mistake, we will prosecute you to the maximum extent possible under the law.” There were two aggravating circumstances that support a death penalty case: that Davis killed Renn while Renn was on duty as a police officer, and that the murder was motivated by an act Renn performed while acting in the course of his duty as an officer. - (Black-on-white) |

Police identify victim in weekend black-on-white stabbing death  PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. —Police have released the name of the man who was stabbed in the chest and later died of his injuries. Richard “Dickey” Bombard, 49, was pronounced dead at CVPH Emergency Department Sunday evening. Police said in a news release Monday that Bombard was allegedly at a friend’s house in the back yard when neighbor, Otis L. Grenton Jr., 50, came over. The two men had argued before Grenton left the backyard only to return shortly after. Bombard and Grenton continued to argue before a physical altercation broke out. That is when Grenton allegedly swung a kitchen steak knife at Bombard striking him in the chest. Grenton fled the residence before being taken into custody by police. Grenton was charged with Second Degree Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree. He was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and committed to the Clinton County Jail without bail. - (Black-on-white) |

Witness: White man beaten by mob of Ferguson-fueled blacks was told restaurant 'not safe for whites'   Family members say a West Point man is in a Tupelo hospital after he and another man were attacked in a Huddle House parking lot by up to 20 people. Ralph Weems, a 32-year-old marine and Iraq war veteran, is in fair condition today according to officials at North Mississippi Medical Center. Monday evening, police arrested 22-year-old Courtez McMillian of Okolona. He is being held in the Clay County Detention Center and will be charged with aggravated assault. Brinkley said other arrests are also pending, and that most, if not all of the assailants appear to come from Monroe County. Detectives are reviewing video footage of the incident. The Associated Press reports that Weems went to a Waffle House early Saturday. His friend David Knighten, an Air Force veteran of the Afghanistan war who was with him, told reporters that a man told him politely outside the restaurant that it wasn't a safe place for whites, because people were upset by the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Knighten said when he entered the restaurant, Weems was arguing with some people inside. The argument brought police, and Knighten and Weems left. On their way to Weems' house, they stopped at a Huddle House with an empty parking lot, according to the Associated Press. The pair was followed to Huddle House by what Knighten said was around 20 people. Witnesses told police that the group was made up of black men, but couldn't identify any of them. One witness did provide a vehicle denoscription and police said they are working on identifying the owner. Knighten told reporters he was trying to diffuse the situation. When a security guard told everyone to leave, Knighten said he was blocked from getting to Weems, who was on the ground being kicked by a group of people. Knighten said others then attacked him. "I do remember racial slurs being yelled from the crowd," he told the Associated Press. - (Black-on-white) |

Family Thinks Otterbein Assault May Have Been Black-on-White Hate Crime  BALTIMORE — Police confirm the suspect arrested for a violent attack Thursday night on a young man in the Otterbein neighborhood near Federal Hill is now a suspect in a similar attack just one night earlier in the same area. Derek Valcourt talked to the father of the latest victim and has more on the attacks. Three attacks in less than a week in Federal Hill. We have a first look at the injuries from the most recent attack—and why the victim’s family thinks this might have been a hate crime. It will take plastic surgery to properly fix the injury suffered by the 25-year-old victim, who asked not to be identified by name. It happened Thursday night when three African-American teenagers attacked him, throwing a rock at his face as he walked down Montgomery Street after leaving his lifeguard job at the nearby Otterbein Swim Club. Police say one of the suspects, 19-year-old Sidney Joyner, tried to stab him with a pocket knife; the victim dodged the blade. “The victim began to yell out. Residents began to come out of their homes; the suspects then ran away,” said Sgt. Jarron Jackson, Baltimore police. Police later found Joyner, who is now charged with armed robbery, robbery and two counts of assault. He was charged in the other robbery and assault, as well. “I feel like this was attempted murder,” said his father. “An injury that severe definitely wasn’t an intent to injure—it was an intent to kill.” The victim’s father also questions why Joyner wasn’t charged with a hate crime, since the suspects reportedly yelled, “Hey, white boy!” at the time of the attack. “If roles were reversed, it definitely would be no question whether it was a hate crime or not,” he said. - (Hatecrimes) - (Black-on-white) |

Black men convicted in White student’s death sentenced  PITTSBURGH — The three men who were convicted of third-degree homicide in the death of a Washington & Jefferson football player nearly two years ago were sentenced Monday. Eric Wells was sentenced to 10-25 years for third-degree murder and three-to-six years for robbery. Adam Hankins was sentenced to six-15 years for third-degree murder and three -10 years for robbery. Troy Simmons was sentenced to five -12 years for third-degree murder and two-to-eight years for robbery. Police said Wells, Hankins and Simmons mugged and punched 21-year-old Timothy McNerney while he was walking back to campus with a friend in October 2012. According to court testimony, McNerney was knocked to the ground, hitting his head. McNerney’s mother, Denise McNerney, said during court that she doesn’t feel like she can forgive the men. - (Black-on-white) |

| Mississippi man beaten after he's warned restaurant wasn't safe for whites, witness says WEST POINT, Miss. -- West Point police said a man received life-threatening injuries in what they are investigating as an aggravated assault at a restaurant. Ralph Weems IV, who was injured early Saturday, was in fair condition Sunday at North Mississippi Medical Center. A relative, Bradley Barnes of Madison, told The Associated Press by telephone on Sunday that his brother-in-law was in a medically induced coma following brain surgery. "They're going to try and wake him up tomorrow and see what damage was done," Barnes said, describing Weems as a 32-year-old former Marine who had served in Iraq. David Knighten of West Point told AP earlier by phone that he and Weems had gone to a Waffle House early Saturday. He said a man waved him over outside the restaurant and told him politely that people were upset by the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and it wasn't a safe place for whites. When he went in, he said, Weems was inside and was arguing with other men. They left after an argument that brought police, Knighten said. He said he showed those officers his .45-caliber handgun and his concealed carry permit. On the way to Weems' house, Knighten said, they went into a Huddle House restaurant with a nearly vacant parking lot. However, he said, they apparently had been followed by more than 20 people. Knighten, who said he had served with the Air Force in Afghanistan, said he came out of the restroom to find Weems surrounded. "I was trying to defuse the situation," he said. After some shoving, he said, the security guard told everyone to leave. Knighten said some people blocked him from leaving with Weems. When he got out, he said, Weems was down and people were kicking him. Knighten said others attacked him, adding "I do remember racial slurs being yelled from the crowd." Knighten says he has broken bones in his face, a cut over his left eye and a blood clot in his right eye. Police did not arrive until after the crowd had left, he said. Black takes murder guilty plea in 2012 home invasion and murder of three Whites - 2 in 70's - all had throats slashed    GONZALES — In one night, a tearful Craig Godbold testified Tuesday, a robbery aimed at stealing a safe thought to contain gold and collectible coins changed everything for his family. “In one night — in one night — my wife lost her whole family. In one night. Her mother, her brother and her stepdad,” said Godbold, commander of the Natchez, Mississippi, Police Department’s criminal investigations. Godbold was staring straight at defendant Bernard James, 27. James is one of five men accused in the brazen Gonzales-area home invasion more than two years ago that led to the slaying of Godbold’s in-laws, Shirley and Robert Irwin Marchand, and their 50-year-old son, Douglas Dooley. Since that February 2012 night, Godbold said, the joy in his wife Teresa Godbold’s voice is gone and she continues to live in fear. James became the second defendant in the slayings to plead guilty and accept life in prison to avoid a potential death sentence. 74-year-old Robert Marchand’s throat had been slashed, as had those of Shirley Marchand, 72, and Dooley on the night of Feb. 17, 2012. Black Birmingham man pleads guilty to manslaughter in deaths of 2 White women found in burned car in 2001   BESSEMER, Alabama – A Birmingham man will serve prison time after pleading guilty to manslaughter more than 13 years after two women were found dead in a burned car. In March 2012, Cameron Rayford was arrested and charged with capital murder in the November 2001 deaths of Kimberly Roy, 29, of Hueytown, and Sandie Lyn Mitchell, 28, of Midfield. Rayford, now 30, appeared before Jefferson County Circuit Judge David Carpenter on Monday and pleaded guilty to provocation manslaughter and drug trafficking. As part of a plea deal with prosecutors, he received a 20-year split sentence with four years of confinement. Rayford will get credit for the two years he has already served in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting a resolution of the case. - (Black-on-white) |

Last of three black defendants admits to murder of White pizza delivery driver in Hillsdale    CLAYTON • The last of three men charged with killing an Imo’s pizza delivery driver in Hillsdale has pleaded guilty. Shermell A. Crockett, 22, admitted his role Thursday in St. Louis County Circuit Court in the 2012 death of Daniil Maksimenko. Crockett pleaded guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. Crockett entered a “blind plea,” which means no plea deal was reached with prosecutors and Crockett is at the mercy of Judge Thea Sherry at sentencing Oct. 8. Maksimenko, 22, of Ballwin, had stopped his car to make a delivery in the 2200 block of Erick Avenue in Hillsdale when he was ambushed about 12:45 a.m. on May 19, 2012. Court records say he was robbed at gunpoint only of the pizza when he was fatally shot. Maksimenko had worked for the Imo’s franchise in Northwoods for about three years. Crockett has prior convictions for stealing a motor vehicle, burglary, theft and resisting arrest. Crockett was one of three men charged with second-degree murder in Maksimenko’s death. Police questioned a fourth man and released him without charges, saying no other suspects were sought. The others are: Davionte Williams, now 20, in St. Louis; and Chester Woods, now 22. Williams and Woods have both pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing, which is scheduled for next month, court records show. - (Black-on-white) |

NYPD Hate Crime Unit Investigating Central Park Attack by racist blacks on White woman - “white people should die.” NEW YORK — The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating an assault that happened in Central Park last Monday. According to police, a 36-year-old woman was assaulted while exiting the park near 60th Street and West Drive around midnight. Detectives say she was shot in the back of the head with a BB gun. “I immediately put my hand to the back of my head and there was blood everywhere and I turned around and I said, ‘What are you doing? What are you doing? What did you do to me?” she said. What they said to her next, she says, was a mix of expletives, and “white people should die.” She said she is still struggling to make sense of what happened to her. “I didn’t make extreme eye contact. Black charged with murder of White man in North Providence home invasion  NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Richard Catalano was murdered. His family members described him as having a "heart of gold." Catalano, 26, was killed late Sunday night in an armed home invasion that also left his mother in critical condition. "I saw a lady come out (of the house). She was covered in blood or what looked like blood," said Juan Rios, a neighbor. "It was coming down her legs. She was screaming." Rios said that he heard a gunshot and saw the aftermath. Like many neighbors in this area, he said the situation was shocking. "I don't know what happened, but I know it's a great neighborhood," said Jerry Joly. "I just feel so bad for the family that lost their child." Police have charged Dari Garcia, 24, of Providence, with murder, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and other charges. - (Black-on-white) |
Caught on Camera: 65-Year-Old White Man Attacked by Black Women Over Gas Pump   A 65-year-old man was confronted by a group of women and beaten up in front of his 7-year-old great grandson at a Victorville, California, gas station Friday afternoon in an incident that was caught on camera, officials said. The altercation occurred around 1 p.m. at the ARCO gas station on the 12000 block of Hesperia Road. The victim, Danny Froschauer, said the fight was over a gas pump. Froschauer said the women in another other car started yelling "we was going to go there, get your car out of there" after he had already pulled into the desired pump. Froschauer said he refused and that the women then began approaching his car and yelling. Froschauer said that one of the women then went inside the gas station and put money on that pump. "She came back out and said, 'ha, now you can’t do anything, because I put money on that pump and we’re going to use that pump,' and I said 'no you’re not,'" Froschauer said. "I thought she was going to come up to my face and argue some more and I’m just standing there, and she got right close to me, and then sucker punched me." Froschauer said that he tried to knock away their hits by swinging his arms, but that he did not hit the women. Froschauer’s great-grandson Dakota said that one woman who was pregnant even threatened him. 'I said leave my grandpa alone," Dakota said. "She said, 'shut up little kid, I don’t care if you’re little or not, I will still push you.'" - (Black-on-white) |

Video shows black man beating, robbing White female Public Storage clerk, Orange Co. cops say  ORLANDO, Fla. - Orange County deputies are searching for the man caught on video beating and robbing a 62-year-old female clerk inside a Public Storage business on Wednesday morning. Deputies said the man first talked to the clerk at the location on 45th Street in Orlando just after 10 a.m. and then put on a mask and threatened the clerk with a knife and a gun. In the video, the man can be seen beating the victim several times in her face and head. Deputies described the man as black, about 45 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet tall with a medium fit build, gray stubble on his face and wearing a short dread wig on his head. The man was wearing a white dress shirt with tie, dress slacks and carrying a blue fabric shopping bag, deputies said. - (Black-on-white) |

Police: Cowardly criminal black scum stalk, rob (White) senior citizens at Philly-area banks  NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA -- Police are trying to track down the trio of suspects who they say have been stalking out senior citizens at banks throughout Philadelphia then attacking and robbing them. "They're scum, really scum - going after people that really can't afford it," said Bayard Stonehill, victim. 83-year-old Stonehill, who is recovering from throat cancer, spoke about the suspects who police say have been targeting the elderly in Northeast Philadelphia, Juniata and Northern Liberties. Stonehill, who is on a fixed income, says the suspects took about $1,000 from him. Authorities say since last April, three men have targeted about 11 victims and all, except one of them, are seniors. The oldest victim is 96. Police believe the suspects follow the victims to the bank, stand behind them in line and listen to see if they are withdrawing large sums of money. "They're followed home and accosted and sometimes beaten, sometimes just pushed over, sometimes the money is just grabbed," said Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum, Philadelphia Police. One victim, an 86-year-old, remains hospitalized after suffering injuries from an assault during one of the robberies. - (Black-on-white) |
Black Man Gets 5 Years For Throwing Chair At White Cop In Court CHICAGO – A black plaintiff who threw a courtroom chair at a white Joliet cop after he lost a civil rights trial was on Thursday sentenced to five years in prison for “assault with a dangerous weapon.” Lavelle Watts Jr. had waited nearly three years to get revenge against Officer Joshua Sawyer, who he claimed had assaulted him in a racist attack. But when a jury rejected his allegations on Valentine’s Day last year, Watts tried to take justice into his own hands by throwing a courtroom chair at the cop. Convicted of the assault at a trial in March, the 34-year-old was on Thursday sentenced to the five year prison term by U.S. District Judge John Tharp — a far cry from the $100,000 payout he had hoped for when he sued Sawyer. Even so, the sentence was half the 10-year sentence prosecutor Timothy Storino had asked for. The jury — which included two African Americans — deliberated for just one hour before finding in favor of Sawyer. Watts yelled, “I told you I was gonna get you, you racist pig!” and scuffled with Sawyer. Sawyer suffered an injury to his left arm and still feels “numb” in two fingers. - (Black-on-white) |

Black Rockford man pleads guilty to murder of White woman  Joe Michael Boose pleaded guilty to a second degree murder charge related to the May 2013 shooting death of Katelynn Gourley. Boose, 21, was sentenced to a total of 26 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Twenty years will be served for the Second Degree Murder charge, and six years will be served for an Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm charge, according to Winnebago County State's Attorney Joe Bruscato. In May of 2013, Rockford Police were called to 610 College Ave. for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Gourley lying in the driveway. Witnesses say they saw Gourley and Boose get in to an argument when Boose pulled out a gun and started shooting. An autopsy found that Gourley died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. - (Black-on-white) |

UPDATE: Shreveport police say they have arrested a third black suspect in shooting death of White man - 26 July 2014     SHREVEPORT, LA - Shreveport police say they have arrested a third suspect in the shooting death of a man in the Highland neighborhood last week. Shavez S. Taylor 32, of the 7400 block of Southern Avenue in Shreveport, was taken into police custody just before 6:00 p.m. Thursday after surrendering to authorities at Shreveport police headquarters. Taylor's arrest comes 10 days after 48-year-old William David Carroll was fatally shot at his home in the 3100 block of Holly Street early on the morning of July 28. Police believe Carroll was shot during a robbery attempt. Two other suspects were arrested within days of Carroll's death for their alleged roles in the shooting. 35-year-old Kinoy Singleton is charged with second-degree murder. His has been set at $450,000. 41-year-old Robert Lynn Singleton (aka Robert LYnn) faces a charge of Lynn faces a charge of principal to second-degree murder with a bond of $325,000. UPDATE: (Unarmed) White Man Mowing Lawn Fatally Struck By Black Drunk Driver - August 11, 2014  MANHATTAN — A man mowing a lawn along a rural highway was struck and killed by a car near southwest suburban Manhattan on Sunday, and the driver is facing reckless homicide charges. Zevez A. Murrell, 31, was driving a blue Toyota Camry southbound on U.S. 52 near Delaney Road in Manhattan Township when the car swerved into the northbound lanes and sideswiped a Honda Civic, Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Wilfredo Rivera said. The Camry then swerved back across the southbound lanes and drove into a ditch on the west side of the roadway, then hit a John Deere tractor, Rivera said. The driver of the tractor, 68-year-old Thomas Knepper of Myrtle Beach, S.C., had been cutting grass on a lawn along U.S. 52 at the time, according to the Will County Coroner’s office. He was thrown off the tractor and pronounced dead at the scene, Rivera said. The driver of the Civic was not hurt. - (Black-on-white) |

WND: Black cop kills (unarmed) white man, media hide race  While national news media continue to focus on race in Ferguson, Missouri, where a white police officer shot and killed an unarmed black teenager, they apparently don’t think a similar case in Utah with the races reversed is that newsworthy. Police in Salt Lake City are continuing their probe into an Aug. 11 shooting outside a 7-Eleven convenience store, when a black police officer, whom local media are referring to as “not white,” shot and killed 20-year-old Dillon Taylor, who was unarmed at the time, according to his supporters. Police Chief Chris Burbank said the entire incident was captured on the body camera of the officer who shot Taylor. “You will see on camera … the actions of everyone involved, including up to the point where our officer utilizes deadly force and his response thereafter,” Burbank told reporters. He said the video, along with the officer’s identity, will be released at the “appropriate” time, adding it could be days, weeks or months. - (Black-on-white) |

Police Identify Black Suspect, White Girlfriend Victim In Oklahoma City Double Shooting  OKLAHOMA CITY - Police have identified a man accused in the shooting that killed one person and injured another one Monday afternoon in southwest Oklahoma City. According to police, just before 6 p.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of S. Grand Blvd. Carolyn Nicole Riggs, 20, was killed and another unidentified man was injured after being shot, police said. The suspect, 25-year-old Ricky Lee Knowles, was armed with a pistol and was heading out the back of the apartment when he was confronted by Lt. Marc Scott. Police said Lt. Scott fired at Knowles, missing him. Knowles then went back into the apartment and surrendered. He was taken into custody. During the investigation, officers learned that Knowles and Riggs were in a relationship. They were visiting family and friends at the apartment complex when Knowles grabbed a pistol from a backpack and shot Riggs numerous times. A short time later, police said Knowles shot a man multiple times before he was confronted by police. - (Black-on-white) |
Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown, says source   Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of Michael Brown touched off more than a week of demonstrations, suffered severe facial injuries, including an orbital (eye socket) fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun, a source close to the department's top brass told FoxNews.com. “The Assistant (Police) Chief took him to the hospital, his face all swollen on one side,” said the insider. “He was beaten very severely.” According to the well-placed source, Wilson was coming off another case in the neighborhood on Aug. 9 when he ordered Michael Brown and his friend Dorain Johnson to stop walking in the middle of the road because they were obstructing traffic. However, the confrontation quickly escalated into physical violence, the source said.. “They ignored him and the officer started to get out of the car to tell them to move," the source said. "They shoved him right back in, that’s when Michael Brown leans in and starts beating Officer Wilson in the head and the face. The source claims that there is "solid proof" that there was a struggle between Brown and Wilson for the policeman’s firearm, resulting in the gun going off – although it still remains unclear at this stage who pulled the trigger. Brown started to walk away according to the account, prompting Wilson to draw his gun and order him to freeze. Brown, the source said, raised his hands in the air, and turned around saying, "What, you're going to shoot me?" At that point, the source told FoxNews.com, the 6 foot, 4 inch, 300-pound Brown charged Wilson, prompting the officer to fire at least six shots at him, including the fatal bullet that penetrated the top of Brown's skull, according to an independent autopsy conducted at the request of Brown's family. Wilson suffered a fractured eye socket in the fracas, and was left dazed by the initial confrontation, the source said. White Philadelphia Police Officer Shot - Released From Hospital; Police ID Black Suspect  PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia police officer was shot in the city’s Tacony neighborhood early Tuesday morning. The officer was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition with a deep graze wound to the left side of the head. The injured officer has been identified as 15th District Officer Stephen Korpalski, a 14 year veteran of the force. Police responded to a report of a person with a gun shortly before 12:45 a.m. Tuesday to the 6400 block of Ditman Street. The suspect, who has been identified as 29-year-old David Ellis of Philadelphia, was spotted by officers. Police say Officer Korpalski and his partner were working in full uniform, operating a marked police wagon when they attempted to stop the suspect. “Officer Korpalski got out of the car to confront the individual. The individual turned and fired a round at Officer Korpalski. Officer Korpalski yelled to his partner that he had been hit. He suffered a graze wound to the left side of his head.” Even after he was struck, Korpalski returned fire, Ramsey said. “He did an incredible job there under some very difficult circumstances.” - (Black-on-white) |

Third black pleads guilty for 2011 Lewisville murder of White man    Julius Smith, the final suspect in the 2011 murder of a Lewisville resident, pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 17 years in prison. Smith entered his guilty plea July 25 in a Denton County court. The other suspects in the murder had already been sentenced. Tyrone Negale Jenkins was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life without the possibility of parole in June. In April 2013, Markell Hardy was tried for murder, but it resulted in a mistrial. Before Hardy’s case came before another judge and jury, he accepted a plea bargain for a 40-year prison sentence and pleaded guilty to murder. The three men were convicted for the murder of Trevor Kronbach. On Dec. 20, 2011, Kronbach was found shot to death inside his apartment in the 1900 block of Lakeview Circle. The detectives, along with other investigative personnel, were able to identify the suspects, and one was arrested that same day. Warrants were issued for threeother suspects and, on Christmas Day 2011, the remaining three suspects were located and arrested in Mississippi. Police: White Man Robbed And Stabbed By Pack Of Black Teenagers In Baltimore City BALTIMORE – A 24-year-old man is listed in critical condition after being robbed and stabbed multiple times by a group of teenagers. Early Monday morning around 4:20 a.m. officers were called to the 1200-block of Wall Street for a reported stabbing. When officers arrived they located 24-year-old Sal Schittino suffering from multiple stab wounds to his body. A preliminary investigation revealed that Schittino was attacked by four black males between the ages of 16 and 18, who had been riding on mopeds. One of the suspects got off his moped and approached the Schittino. After assaulting Schittino, the suspect took his wallet and personal belongings. Schittino was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. The victim is a graduate of Loyola Blakefield High School and played basketball at Washington College. White Livonia woman carjacked, bitten by young black boy at knifepoint outside library  LIVONIA, Mich. - School is just around the corner and rather than brushing up on some history, one child made some of his own. Late last week, 24-year-old Alex spent a couple hours at the Livonia Civic Center library. "When I walked into the library I saw someone on their phone when I was walking in," she says. "I didn't think anything of it." When she walked out, she noticed the same kid again. "As I approached my car, I felt a tap on my shoulder," Alex says. "They said give me your keys, and I thought it was a joke." Alex saw a younger black boy holding a kitchen knife. "He was right behind me, and I said, 'No," she says. "I had my laptop bag and I turned around and hit him in the face with it. ... When he got hit in the side of the head, he stepped back, dropped the knife and I repeatedly swung my bag at him." Alex says she fell backwards on the curb, and that the boy got on top of her and he bit the keys out of her left hand. Beaten homeowner turns tables on intruder and kills black suspect, according to Jacksonville police   Bruised and bloodied by an intruder, a Jacksonville man and woman exchanged gunfire with the invader and put an end to an assault early Friday at their home. The two were hospitalized, but a child there was unharmed and the suspect is dead, police said. The dead man has been identified as Marquise Trevel Yates, 21, whose last known address was in the 6100 block of Arlington Expressway. The adults were apparently just waking up when they heard a “loud noise” of someone breaking in the back door on Seabrook Cove Road, said Sgt. I feel very scared,” said 22-year-old Kira Pettery. “I believe that if I wouldn’t have gotten away that night so easily, I believe he could have killed me.” Pettery said she can’t stop thinking about the night she thought she was going to lose her life. She met with her ex-boyfriend in Lafayette Monday to talk about their daughter. (Unarmed) White man who died after Grand Rapids playground beating by pack of blacks was 'defenseless,' records show  GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Court documents show a 24-year-old Grand Rapids man was "defenseless" when he was kicked in the head during an attack at the Sibley Elementary School playground in May. Scott Simerson died on Sunday, Aug. 10. Police said he suffered multiple head injuries in the attack allegedly carried out by two juveniles and two older teens. Bystanders took cell phone video of the attack, Grand Rapids Police Lt. Pat Merrill said. Police said Simerson was watching two teenagers on the Sibley Elementary playground when a conflict developed with another group of teens. The attack on Simerson was not provoked, police said after the incident. Prior to Simerson's death, Donmard White, 17, and Robert Kelly, 18, were charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. White pleaded guilty to the charge in late July and is scheduled to be sentenced in September, while Kelly awaits a jury trial, court records show. Two juveniles, ages 15 and 16, are also held on assault charges connected to the crime. Police wrote in court records that White and Kelly allegedly kicked Simerson in the head when he was down, "inflicting a serious head injury." Neighbors react after evil black animal - suspected serial rapist - indicted for Port Wentworth murder of White woman   PORT WENTWORTH, GA - People in Port Wentworth are still in shock after learning on Wednesday that Torrey Scott has now been charged with raping and killing a soldier's wife. The indictment handed down on Wednesday described how Scott raped and then strangled 33-year-old Lisa Pynn in her Port Wentworth home in January. Scott was living next door to Pynn, staying with his girlfriend when the crimes happened. Scott is also the suspect in the rape of two Savannah State students and a Candler Hospital nurse. Now, Scott faces murder charges, and people in Port Wentworth are shocked. "Knowing that someone that evil lives across the street from you, it is even more frightening to find out," said Melanie Leysath, who lived across the street from Scott. Pynn's six-year-old son found her body and tried to get help, but it was too late. White victim in fatal Evansville shooting identified - shooter was black male Police in Evansville are investigating the death of a man a witness said was shot following a verbal altercation with a man in a vehicle. Officers responded to a shots fired call near the intersection of Garvin and Walnut streets around 3:23 a.m. Police found a man lying in the street who was not breathing. Eric Steven Brookins, 24, of Evansville, sustained at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at Deaconess Hospital. An autopsy by the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Officer revealed Brookins died from a single gunshot wound to the heart. A person who was with Brookins told police that someone in a passenger car yelled at them as they were riding bicycles. The witness told police that Brookins and a man in the car got into an altercation before a gunshot was fired from the vehicle. Police have not said which direction the bicyclists were traveling. According to police, the weapon used in the shooting is a semi-automatic handgun. Authorities are working to identify the shooter. He was described as a black male. Three men arraigned in Meade Street slaying of 79-year-old White man     FLINT, MI – Three men have been arraigned and are in police custody for the slaying of 79-year-old Jimmie Allison inside his Flint home on South Meade Street Friday night, Aug. 8. Marquise Antwan Love, 19, Keanu Alexander Brown, 24, and Takais Armon Brown, 28, were all arraigned Wednesday. The men have all been charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, first-degree home invasion and felony firearm. Flint police responded to the shooting at Allison's home in the 500 block of South Meade Street Friday around 11:30 p.m. Allison was found dead inside from an apparent gunshot wound. "Within hours of the investigation we were able to locate and secure three suspects." Dixon said. A man and woman were beaten after a suspect grabbed the man's cane and beat them with it. And it was all over a parking space. "It never made any sense to me and it will never make any sense to me," she said. Dorian Boyd, 39, is charged with Aggravated Battery, Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Batter. His wife, Natasha Boyd, 43, is charged with Parking Violation, Being a Party to Aggravated Battery, Being a Party to Aggravated Assault and Battery. Gunturk and her boyfriend Darren Kohn were parked at a pet store on Piedmont Avenue on August 2, 2014 when a car blocked them and two other cars in. Kohn was walking with a cane because he recently had reconstructive knee surgery. An argument ensued and police said Dorian Boyd grabbed Kohn's cane and started beating him and Gunturk. White woman chases down, captures pudgy black 'alleged' thief A dramatic photo captured the moment on Friday when a Brooklyn mugging victim became a crime fighter — as she busted the punk who allegedly snatched her cellphone and held him in a bear hug for the cops. Clara Vondrich, 36, was taking a business phone call while standing in front of a Williamsburg coffee shop on South Third Street at 1:20 p.m. when the teen approached her with two pals. The 13-year-old, whose name is being withheld by The Post because he is a minor, allegedly pushed her from behind, nearly knocking her to the ground. He ripped the phone from her hand and fled, said Vondrich and police sources. “I was all disoriented,” Vondrich told The Post. “My headphones almost came off. “I looked up and I saw him running with my phone.” Wearing a pair of thick wedges and a sundress, Vondrich chased after him. Hot on the kid’s heels, she pleaded with him to give the cellphone back. “I was screaming the whole time, ‘Get that kid!’ ” Vondrich recalled. “I finally said, ‘Yo, I’ll give you $200 for that. Just stop.’ ” Vondrich said the teen appeared to be out of shape and handed off the phone to his more nimble pal, who ran off. But she kept after the slow boy, who was huffing and puffing down Wythe Avenue during the five-block chase. 2 blacks charged in fatal carjacking of 94-year-old Italian Daytona Beach man  DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Two men have been charged nearly one year after a 94-year-old man was carjacked in Daytona Beach. The man had medical complications during the attack and died at the hospital. Vittario Vecchiarelli’s neighbors on Woodland Avenue near North Atlantic Avenue were happy to hear of an arrest. They recalled the elderly man simply trying to get his mail when it happened. “He had pulled up and I guess was getting his mail, and when he got out of his car that’s when they backed up,” said resident Park Lippert. Vecchiarelli was found by his neighbors lying feet from his driveway. “He turned around and grabbed hold of the window and was dragged a couple of feet and fell down, and that was it,” Lippert said. White father shot and killed in robbery attack by two blacks  TIFTON, GA - A Tift County family is grieving after their relative was shot and killed during a home invasion in Duluth. 37-year-old Adam Schrier of Atlanta was shot and killed at his home early Wednesday morning. Police are looking for two gunmen responsible. "We understand that this is robbery motivated. Apparently two suspects," said Maj. Don Woodruff with Duluth Police. Schrier's girlfriend and her 8-year-old daughter were also shot during the attack. They were taken to a hospital and later released. Schrier's 4-year-old daughter was also in the home but was not injured. Diane Happel wept for her nephew. She asked. "I mean he was in a good neighborhood. It was safe and he felt safe there with his children." They're also trying to figure out how they'll take care of Schrier's funeral and a lawyer for his case. They've set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for the expenses. Any leftover money will be given to Schrier's daughter. "It's just horrible. Jury finds black Shreveport man guilty of manslaughter for 2012 double slaying  CADDO PARISH, LA - A Caddo Parish jury rendered a guilty verdict Wednesday afternoon in the case of a Shreveport man charged with a double slaying that happened two years ago almost to the day. But the verdict handed down was for two counts of manslaughter. Word came just after 4 p.m. at the Caddo Parish Court House, about five hours after the jury began deliberations. Roderrick Scott had been charged with two counts of second degree murder in the beating and shooting death of Stuart Myers, 29, and the beating death of Leslie Moss, 27, on August 12, 2012. A source in Caddo D.A. Charles R. Scott's office said the lesser charges were decided by the jury. Cowardly criminal black suspect in custody after robbery of handicapped White woman  CATOOSA COUNTY, GA - UPDATE: The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office has a suspect in custody from the robbery of a handicapped woman at a Georgia ATM earlier this month. Allen Green is facing multiple charges, including armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Police say Green followed a woman out of a Fort Oglethorpe bank after she had just used the ATM there. The victim told police the suspect bumped the rear of her vehicle, causing her to pull over and the suspect produced a gun and robbed her. The victim said she suffers from Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, which severely disables her ability to walk. Black teen arrested in murder of White woman found near Pinellas Trail  CLEARWATER, FL - Clearwater Police have arrested a teen for murder in the mysterious death of Lydia Ann Tross, 41, whose decomposed body was found Saturday near the Pinellas Trail. Dewayne Jones, 18, of Clearwater, has been charged with first-degree murder, police announced Tuesday. Police say robbery is the apparent motive. Tross's body was found by a man and his grandson in a ditch north of Fairmont Street near the Pinellas Trail while they were picking flowers on Saturday. Tross, of Clearwater, was reported missing on August 5. Detectives say a family member of Jones' found items belonging to Tross in the teen's possession. That family member called police. Just last month, Jones was arrested by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office on drug charges including possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and obstructing or resisting an officer without violence and was released on bond. - (Black-on-white) |
2 Blacks Indicted In Fatal Ellington Parkway Shooting Of White Man   NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two men have been indicted in connection with a fatal shooting on Ellington Parkway back in March. Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said Barry Eugene Moore, 27, and Antonio L. Porter, 21, have been accused of shooting and killing 21-year-old Justin Roake on March 15. Roake and a 19-year-old friend were traveling north on Ellington Parkway when shots were fired into their car by someone in a passing vehicle. Roake was struck in the head and died at the scene. His passenger was not injured during the incident. Prior to the shooting, police said Roake and his passenger stopped at the Mag Market on Dickerson Pike, where Moore and Porter were also said to have been at the time. According to investigators, Roake’s passenger reportedly fired a pistol in the air as the car pulled away from the store, which led to the fatal shooting. Deputies: White woman takes matter into own hands during home invasion by racist blacks ENIGMA, GA - A south Georgia woman who fought back when two men forced their way into her home is encouraging others to do the same. Berrien County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in reference to a burglary around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. According to a report, 19-year-old Kayla Walker and her 10-month-old son were at home when she said she heard a noise at the back door. She went to check it out, and that's when the door was pulled open by a man trying to get inside. "But by the time I got in here, they was coming in and I was pushing them back out as hard as I could," she said. Walker said she immediately pushed the man out of the house, but another man behind him pushed them both back inside, knocking her to the ground. That's when she told investigators the second man straddled her and began beating her in the face, using racial slurs such as "stupid white (expletive)." But Walker then said she grabbed the man by the testicles and caused him to fall over on her. She then grabbed him by the throat and began choking him. "I head-butted him, then grabbed his privates and I reached up an started choking him," she recalled. She told officials that she choked him until she felt like he was unconscious, and then let go. But the man wasn't unconscious. He began to fight Walker again, and according to the report, she grabbed a hammer and hit the man several times on the head and on his body with it. She then ran, grabbed her child, and went into a bedroom, where she grabbed a shotgun and pointed it at the men. "He said, 'This is my new house. I'm here to stay.' I said, 'Not at this residence.' I put the gun to his face and the gun clicked and he ran," she said. Walker told deputies that she tried to shoot the intruders, but there was no shell in the chamber of the gun. That changed Monday night when she was beaten, robbed and carjacked in a well-lit parking lot outside Nordstrom. Wing's vehicle was parked underneath a lamppost and next to a security call box. Wing said she was at a dinner party at Twist Restaurant when she walked out to her car shortly after 11 p.m. "Two men jumped me from behind, then starting punching me," she recalled. They were screaming profanity, saying "Give me your keys, or I'll kill you." She said. "I really thought they were going to kill me, especially when he said he had a gun," she said. "I was trying to give them my keys. Steal my car if you want, but did they really need to beat me?" She said they also stole her iPhone and purse. As the robbers drove off in Wing's gray 5-Series BMW, other patrons dialed 911. She was taken to Atlanta Medical Center by ambulance with a fractured cheekbone, lacerations, bruises and head injuries. Police are studying surveillance video from parking lot security cameras. Black Oakland Park man arrested in death of White toddler   OAKLAND PARK, Fla. - A man has been arrested in Oakland Park in connection with the death of 4-year-old Joshua Snyder. According to deputies, Delivrance Delien, 65, was visiting a home nearby in the 700 block of Northwest 42 Street. Witnesses said Delien was driving erratically and recklessly as he was leaving the home in his silver Chevrolet Tracker. Deputies said Delien struck a vehicle in the driveway, which in turn struck Estelida Morales, 54, and Snyder. During the investigation, detectives said they found physical evidence on Delien's vehicle and the roadway that showed he was trying to flee the scene when he ran over the victims several times. Black Man charged with kidnapping, killing 79-year-old White cab driver  LA CROSSE — Criminal charges have been filed in La Crosse County against a man accused of killing a cab driver and leading police on a high-speed chase. Prosecutors say Timmy Johnson Jr. admitted killing 79-year-old Merle Forbes in June after calling him for a ride in Platteville. Johnson is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, kidnapping and armed robbery. He's accused of stabbing Forbes and putting him in the trunk of the taxi. The La Crosse Tribune reports a criminal complaint says Johnson could hear the dying man moaning in the trunk as he headed for La Crosse. Police say Johnson was high on PCP when he led police on a high speed chase through La Crosse county. Suspect held on $2M bail in Center City pet-sitter attack  CENTER CITY -- Police say the suspect behind an attack on a Center City pet-sitter is behind bars and being held on $2 million bail. 47-year-old Kenneth Todd is charged in the brutal attack which occurred July 25th on the 1300 block of Pine Street. The victim, a 46-year-old Mary Ann McHenry, spoke exclusively to Action News earlier in the week. "I just remembered he came in, he grabbed me by the throat and I just remember not being able to breathe," she said. The attack happened around 10:00 p.m. and the area was busy with people, homes and businesses. Investigators say that didn't stop Todd from stalking the dog walker who was watching after her neighbor's pet and house. The victim says she actually saw the suspect before the attack on Waverly Street. He asked for a cigarette and she gave him one. She goes on to say that as soon as she entered her neighbor's home, Todd wasn't far behind demanding cash. "He punched me in the face and at one point I was on the ground and I had always been told, 'Use your body to your advantage, get on the ground and kick,' so that what I started doing," said McHenry. Black fugitive captured in road rage murder   DECATUR, Georgia - Robert Glen Spears, 26, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Decatur, Georgia. On July 13, Spears was identified as a passenger in a vehicle that became involved in a road rage incident with another vehicle. Lawyers for black Mississippi death-row inmate want conviction overturned  Attorneys for a Mississippi death-row inmate who was tried six times for the same killings told the state Supreme Court on Monday that his most recent trial was unfair and his conviction should be overturned. Lawyers for Curtis Flowers, a black man convicted in the 1996 slayings of four people at a furniture store from which he had been fired days earlier, said jury selection in his 2010 trial was racially biased and that evidence against him was both lacking and misrepresented by prosecutors. Flowers was convicted and sentenced to death in 1997, 1999 and 2004, but the state Supreme Court overturned each of those convictions – the first two because of prosecutorial misconduct and the third because of racial discrimination during jury selection. Two more trials, in 2007 and 2008, ended in hung juries split along racial lines. In 2010, Flowers was again convicted and sentenced to death. Killed were store owner Bertha Tardy, 59; bookkeeper Carmen Rigby, 45; delivery worker Robert Golden, 42; and 16-year-old Derrick Stewart, a part-time employee. Black Teen Pleads Guilty To Murdering White Truck Driver At Tulsa Papa John's    TULSA, Oklahoma - One of three teens accused of killing a delivery driver at a Tulsa pizza restaurant last year pleaded guilty Wednesday. Jermaine Savory, who was 17 at the time, pleaded guilty to first degree murder. The judge sentenced him to life with the possibility of parole and dismissed one count of attempted robbery with a firearm. Prosecutors say Savory and two other 17-year-olds, Damian Anderson and Frankie Jackson, killed Robert Horton, 53, as he unloaded supplies at the Papa John's pizza restaurant at 11th and Delaware Avenue on March 23, 2013. Horton was a military veteran who lived in Texas with his wife of 30 years. He and a co-worker were unloading the truck at about 6 a.m. that morning when Horton was shot and killed. - (Black-on-white) |

Officials say his father, also named Major Davis, died in 2003 while in police custody. In that incident, reports say Davis attacked officers when they tried to arrest him. Officers then sprayed him with mace. An autopsy showed Davis suffered a heart attack and had a pre-existing heart problem. 
Bernard R. James, 25, of Prairieville, was booked with three counts of first-degree murder, one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated burglary. Tevon Tremain James, 24, also of Prairieville, was booked with three counts of accessory after the fact of first-degree murder, accessory after the fact of aggravated burglary and accessory after the fact of armed robbery. Sheriff Jeff Wiley announced the arrests of Michael Aikens, 35, and Rolondo Stewart, 22, both of Prairieville; and Travis Moore, 19, of Baton Rouge. They were arrested on three counts of first-degree murder and single counts of armed robbery and aggravated burglary.

ARKADELPHIA, AR - CLARK COUNTY, AR - Riakos Lizana, 21, changed his plea to guilty and was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences during a hearing by Clark County Circuit Judge Robert McCallum on Friday. During the change in plea Lizana admitted he caused the deaths of
