BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A Bakersfield man has pleaded no contest in Kern County Superior Court to one count of continuous sexual abuse for twice getting his daughter pregnant. Jose Roberto Cerros, 55, faces 16 years in prison for sexually abusing his 15-year-old daughter. After her second child was born in March, the girl fled the home and reported that her father forced her to have sex with him for the past four years. The girl and her 10 siblings were removed from their home as a result of a child neglect investigation, but returned to the home before investigators had a chance to interview the girl a second time. Cerros, who was arrested May 24, also will have to register as a sex offender.
