Suspects, muscle car sought in music store slaying Police are searching for two suspects involved in a deadly shooting at a north Houston store Thursday. Two armed men entered the Urban Soundz record store at 8650 North Houston Rosslyn at about 6:40 p.m. and fatally shot Justin Aaron Conrad, 27, and wounded another man.
Police have identified and charged Eric Cooper with the slaying of Conrad.
Investigators are also searching for the second suspect.
He is described as a black male in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 to 170 pounds with a dark complexion. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Suspect Arrested Homicide Investigation Ranaldo Tyrone Harden turned himself in to Henry County Sheriff’s authorities on December 30, 2010. Harden, a 26 year old male, has been arrested for Second Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony in the death of Glen Ward Dillard, 41 year old male. Moss Point authorities seek shooting suspect Mississippi -- The Moss Point Police Department is asking for the public for help in locating a Christmas day shooting suspect. Authorities are seeking Moss Point resident Willie B. Gant in connection to a shooting that took place on Christmas morning at Club Silk, formally know as the Paradise Lounge. Couple beaten outside Walmart by black Khalid El-Amin Muhammad A Franklin man was jailed after allegedly using a club to beat a Southampton County couple outside Walmart after an apparent altercation inside the store. Khalid El-Amin Muhammad, 41, formerly known as Keith Nesbitt, is accused of attacking the unidentified husband and wife from behind as they left the store. Both were taken to Southampton Memorial Hospital with what police called serious injuries. “That’s when I heard a bunch of screaming and yelling,” he said. “All I could see was blonde hair flying around. New York police arrest black in case of body found in suitcase Police have arrested a man in connection in the death of a woman whose body was found in a suitcase last week. Hassan Malik, 55, has been charged with murder in the second degree, police said late Monday. As police were leading Malik away, a reporter asked if he was sorry for what he allegedly did. "Yes," Malik replied. The victim, 28-year-old Betty Williams from the Bronx, was found Wednesday -- strangled and then stuffed into a dark-colored piece of luggage, authorities said. Del. Black Goes on Christmas Stabbing Rampage: Cops Police arrested 44-year-old Vincent Stevens of Wilmington on Christmas. He allegedly stabbed two 24-year-olds and a 36-year-old during a gathering in an apartment, cops said. The victims and Stevens know one another, said police. “The victims were all stabbed multiple times about the face, head, neck, wrist, hands and legs,” police said. “The cuts that the victim sustained were determined to be significant requiring stitches and or surgery.” All three victims were stabbed multiple times. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Homeless black suspect in blunt trauma murder of sleeping homeless man Tulsa police are investigating the city's 59th homicide, which occurred early Christmas morning. When police arrived they found 51-year-old Russell Leon Smith Jr. who appeared to have suffered a blunt trauma to the head. Police say Smith, who was homeless, was sleeping when he was beaten with an unknown object. Black accused of rape, impersonating officer A man with prior sexual offense convictions was charged with posing as a policeman and raping a woman in Kansas City, Kan. Prosecutors say the man approached a woman in the Walmart parking lot and told her she was under arrest for shoplifting. The woman got in his car and he drove her to the nearby parking lot at Best Buy. He later released the woman. The district attorney’s office charged Wesley Earl Watson, 55, with rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated intimidation of a victim, impersonation of a law enforcement officer and aggravated sexual battery. Watson was convicted in Sedgwick County in 1977 of attempted rape and in 1984 of rape and aggravated sodomy. Search on for black Houston sex offender on parole violation Authorities are searching for a convicted sex offender wanted for a parole violation. Arthur William Brown, 54, has convictions for aggravated rape as well as aggravated sexual abuse of a child and other offenses. He is a registered sex offender with the Houston Police Department. Black jail guard accused of raping two women A Metropolitan Detention Center guard accused of raping two female inmates went before a judge in Metro Court. Torry Chambers’ alleged criminal history at the detention center began in 2008. Chambers allegedly befriended Anthony Townes, an inmate at MDC and a former guard at a women’s facility charged with raping four women there. Chambers is accused of letting Townes into the cell of a female inmate, so that he could rape her. Police arrest black suspect in string of Bronx church robberies  A man wanted in a string of Bronx church burglaries was arrested while trying to rip off another church. Nathaniel Linden, 51, was nabbed early Sunday by police responding to a 6:45 a.m. report of a burglary at St. Philip Neri Church on the Grand Concourse. LAPD gets hundreds of calls in black serial killer 'Grim Sleeper' case  LOS ANGELES (AP) — Investigators received hundreds of calls after releasing photographs of women seized at the home of Lonnie Franklin Jr. accused of the "Grim Sleeper" serial killings. A detective expected the tally of calls to reach 1,000 by the day's end. Several callers said they were among the women in the photographs, but detectives must interview each one to make sure. Police want to know who the women in the photographs are and fear some of them could have been victims of a crime. New Orleans black arrested for October rape of 16-year-old girl Emory J. Walters, 47, of New Orleans, is wanted in connection with the rape of a 16-year-old girl on Oct. 21. The girl was walking in the 4700 block of Saint Claude Avenue around 7:30 p.m. when Walters approached her and pulled her inside of an abandon house and sexually assaulted her. Albuquerque police searching for black ringleader of home-invastion gang Albuquerque police are looking for a young man wanted in connection with a series of violent home invasions. Hamilton Webb, 19, is one of at least four suspects believed to be involved in an organized spree of home invasions. According to several criminal complaints, Webb has been identified as the leader of a group of armed thugs who forced their way into a home near Yale and Gibson boulevards in southeast Albuquerque on Dec. 7. Raleigh black accused of raping two children A 36-year-old Raleigh man who is accused of raping two children was being held in the Wake County jail on a $5 million bond. Investigators say Anthony Hayes sexually abused one of the children for nearly five years, beginning when the child was 8 years old. He is accused of raping a 13-year-old in August 2008, according to the arrest warrants. Black charged with assaulting girl, 11 A 53-year-old man has been charged with assaulting an 11-year-old girl who was reported missing. Derrick Turner, 53, was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault, according to police. The girl lives in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side and was reported missing Saturday. The victim was a runaway, and Turner met her about 1 a.m. last Saturday on an "L" train. Turner invited the girl to his home, and they walked there from the "L." Fuquay black charged in rape of 3-year-old  N.C. — A Fuquay-Varina man was charged Saturday with sexually assaulting a 3-year-old, according to arrest warrants. Alonzo Quentin Powell, 21, was charged with first-degree sexual offense, rape of a child and indecent liberties with a child. Warrants state that the offenses took place between Oct. 15 and Nov. 5. Black County Worker Charged With Homo Raping Jail Inmate Bond was set at $300,000 Thursday for a Cook County hospital employee charged with sexually assaulting at Cook County Jail inmate at Cermak Hospital. Alphonzo Hill, 45, is charged with criminal sexual assault, custodial sexual misconduct and official misconduct – all felonies. In May, Hill was in a minimum-security jail dispensary room with a 46-year-old inmate who was there for routine care. During the visit, Hill told the man his doctor had ordered a more detailed medical examination. Though Hill was not authorized, nor licensed to carry out this exam, he told the man he could do it. Black arrested for homo molestation of 9-year-old boy in bathroom The victim, a 9 year old male, reported an incident that had just occurred in a bathroom at a local department store. The victim stated that he was in the restroom using the bathroom and "Minding his own business". He stated that a male, later identified as Shawn Darnell Sheffield started taking pictures of his private area. The victim stated that he told the offender to stop and "Punched him in the back". He stated the offender ignored him and then touched his private areas in the front and back of his person. Black husband charged in White Brookhaven woman's shooting death On Dec. 2, Gail Coone Pendleton and her husband James Pendleton were taking pictures for Facebook, kissing and laughing. Two days later, James Pendleton, 41, was being booked into the Lincoln County Jail, accused of murder after he allegedly shot her in front of at least one of their children. Also among Gail's Facebook photos was an eerie picture of James holding a gun in front of his chest, and underneath it, Gail had playfully written, "My bad hubby but don't he look good." Raleigh black faces sex charges involving a child Stevenson Avery, 59, of 312 Parrish St., is charged with engaging in a sexual offense with a child under the age of 13, according to an arrest warrant. Avery has an extensive criminal history dating from 1978, according to state Department of Correction records. Cops say the same black thug is suspect in three different rapes in East Flatbush  A violent predator attacked and raped a 36-year-old woman in her Brooklyn apartment last week - and cops say the same man is wanted for assaulting two other women on the same block. The victim spotted the man in the lobby of her East Flatbush building when she arrived home shortly before 2 a.m. on Friday. The rapist - who is believed to be in his 20s and stands about 5-feet-10 - pushed his way into her apartment behind her and raped her, police said. Last May, he allegedly pushed his way into a 32-year-old woman's apartment, where he raped and robbed her. Second black pimp also gets life in prison Another Hammond man was sentenced to life in prison for his role in a prostitution ring that tricked girls into working for men who then beat and drugged them to keep them in line. Jovan Demont Stewart, 31, had asked U.S. District Judge Rudy Lozano for leniency, saying he was afraid of Justin Cephus, who also received a life sentence Monday for his role in the case. Cephus and Stewart were convicted in November 2009 on numerous charges of pimping women, including girls as young as 16. A federal indictment claimed the men drugged the women and beat them to make sure they kept having sex with them and the clients. The one-time handyman attacked and strangled at least eight women in his hometown of Springfield in the 1990s, becoming one of his state's most prolific serial killers. The scale of his killing spree only recently became clear when Gaynor, imprisoned on four murder convictions, confessed this fall to four other unsolved slayings in which he'd been a longtime suspect. Police find black accused of rape one year later – Forty-one-year-old Napoleon Lockhart is now in custody after police say he was wanted in connection with a December 2009 rape at Manor House Apartments. A Forrest City woman said she was approached by him in December and was taken by knife point to the apartments where she was raped. Detectives with the Forrest City Police Department were quickly able to identify Lockhart and issued a warrant for his arrest. Black St. Paul Taxi Driver Abdikadir Yusef Mohamed Arrested for Attempted Rape, Kidnapping  St. Paul police have arrested a taxi driver for the attempted rape and kidnapping of a female passenger. Police arrested 23-year-old Abdikadir Yusef Mohamed. The 26-year-old victim told police the incident happened after Mohamed picked her up in a taxi for a fare around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in downtown St. Paul. The woman asked the driver if she could smoke in the cab and he told her she could smoke only in the front seat.When the woman got into the front seat, the suspect began touching her inappropriately and attempted to rape her. Huntsville black convicted on rape, sodomy charges involving child under 12 Jurors deliberated just more than hour before convicting a Huntsville man of rape and sodomy stemming from a Halloween 2007 attack on an 11-year-old girl. Zephrus Strickland, 25, showed no emotion as the verdict was read. Black sex offender accused of daytime rape Police have arrested a 38-year-old registered sex offender in connection with the Nov. 29 rape of a 21-year-old Dove Street woman. Keith Dare was charged with rape, burglary, robbery and endangering the welfare of a child. Police say Dare was arrested at 10 a.m. Wednesday outside his house. He was connected to the rape through DNA evidence. Dare is a Level 3 sex offender in New York. Black Newport News rape counselor/minister charged with raping woman A 57-year-old Newport News counselor and minister was charged with rape. Edwin Benjamin Rosette Sr., was arrested after being interviewed at police headquarters. The 19-year-old victim was not in the area when she reported the incident but has returned, according to police, who say they have investigated Rosette since earlier this year. High court denies appeal of black mentally retarded man who helped rape, kill Arlington teen The U.S. Supreme Court has turned away the appeal of an Arkansas man who helped kidnap, rape and bury an Arlington teen alive in 1993, although a federal judge said evidence shows that he is mentally retarded. The high court banned the death penalty for the mentally retarded eight years ago. In their ruling today, the justices offered no comment in rejecting the appeal of Bruce Carneil Webster. Black purse-snatcher - Area women urged to be vigilant  Robbery squad detectives say a purse snatching in Baldwin yesterday, Nov. 30, around 7 p.m., matches a pattern of crimes that have played out in the area over the last month. According to detectives, the 56-year-old victim, female, was in her driveway exiting her vehicle when a male black grabbed her from behind. The subject attempted to take the victim’s handbag off her shoulder, but fled the scene on foot after she resisted. |
Reward offered for black Largo shooting suspect's capture - suspect surrenders - no bail  A $1,000 reward was being offered for information leading to the arrest of a suspected killer. Black convicted of rape though DNA matching Cleveland man guilty Friday of rape and kidnapping in a 2003 case that linked to him through DNA matching. Trevor Bolton, 30, faces a maximum of 26 1/2 years in prison for his conviction in the May 7, 2003 incident where he broke into the East 121st Street home of a 22-year-old Cleveland woman and raped her at gunpoint. Three black afro-negroid teens murder 12-year-old White girl in home invasion     Three teens were charged with murder Monday night in connection with the slaying of a 12-year-old girl in her Moore County home last week. Authorities arrested Van Roger Smith Jr., 16, and Sherrod Nicholas Harrison, 19, Monday afternoon. After a search, the Moore County Sheriff's Office took Michael Graham Currie, 18, into custody Monday night. All three teens were charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of breaking and entering. All are from Cameron. Twelve-year-old Emily Elizabeth Haddock was shot to death Friday in her home on Marks Road outside of Vass, authorities said. The girl had stayed home from school with strep throat and was alone. "(She was) very quiet, soft spoken, always had a smile. Smiling Black pleads not guilty to running down a white family in McDonald's parking lot - killing 2-year-old   The black man accused of running down five white family members and killing a 2-year-old girl in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant in Covington last May pleaded not guilty. Lanny Perry Barnes, 46, attended the 15-minute arraignment hearing wearing street clothes and no expression on his face. Sitting behind him was Stephanie Casola, the mother who was hit, along with her two sons, niece, and sister, by Barnes' vehicle. Witnesses told police that Barnes struck the family, backed up, smiled, and drove into them again. Casola's niece, Avery King, died of her injuries. Black Sex Offender Charged With Kidnap-Rape-Kill of White 11-year-old Jacksonville Girl In 1996  Fla. -- A Connecticut sex offender will be returned to Florida to face a murder charge after being linked to the decade-old rape and drowning of an 11-year-old girl through a database of DNA from convicted sex offenders. Robert Shelton Mitchell, 43, was being held on a $5 million bond after being arraigned as a fugitive. He will face first-degree murder and capital sexual battery charges in the death of Cherie Morrisette of Jacksonville. The Mandarin Middle School student body was found on Dec. 8, 1996, floating in the St. John's River about 10 miles south of the apartment she shared with her mother and sister. An autopsy determined that Cherie drowned shortly after her disappearance on Dec. 2, 1996, and was alive when she either fell into the river or was thrown in. Police labeled the death suspicious, and authorities found a small DNA sample on her underwear and body. Mitchell lived in nearby Middleburg at the time of the girl's death, police said Thursday. Mitchell later moved to Connecticut and was convicted in January 2003 of illegal sexual contact with another child. - (Black-on-White) |

A registered sex offender was arrested on suspicion of raping a 2-year-old girl in a Dollar Tree store as her relatives were Christmas shopping in the next aisle, police said Thursday. 
A man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly raped a heavily medicated patient at University Hospital over the weekend. Police say 30-year-old Tishawn Walker was a patient at University Hospital on the same floor as the victim. Police say Walker got into the victim's hospital room on Nov. 27 while the victim was asleep due to being heavily medicated. Walker then climbed into the victim's bed and raped her, according to court records.
