Iowa Man Charged With Criminal Transmission Of H.I.V There's a new case of a man accused of intentionally exposing others to HIV. This time, a father-in-law reported the man to police, making it the third case of intentional HIV exposure in three weeks. Dewayne Boyd is behind bars charged with criminal transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Authorities believe between August 1st and August 10th, the 31-year-old had sexual intercourse three times with one woman. But that's not the whole story. Investigators learned about the case through Boyd's father-in-law, who says his daughter suffers from the virus too. He's the man accused of intentionally exposing at least one woman to HIV. Man, Teen Charged With Murder In Home Invasion  KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A man and a teenager were charged with murder in a home invasion from last year, prosecutors said. On Sept. 18, Christopher Cummings was shot and killed inside his home. According to court documents, the culprit then stole Cummings' wallet and necklaces. Brian C. Ross, 21, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He is being held on $200,000 bond. Jazwon M. Franklin, 17, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Man Arrested In Connection With Body Found In Shed Fort Worth police have arrested Patrick Evans, saying he is wanted in connection with the death of a "Houston person". Police said Evans drove to Fort Worth from Houston with the body in the trunk of his car, and then stuffed the body into a storage shed. The body was found last week wrapped in a tarp in a shed in the back yard of an east Fort Worth home. Police found the body while searching the home of a person involved in a police chase. - (aryan_barbarian) |
Texas Man Tied to Four Slayings Executed HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- A former farm worker from central Texas was executed Wednesday for beating a man to death with a car jack during a violent spree 17 years ago. "I wish I could do something to replace your father, your loved one," Gary Sterling said. "But I can't. I know this was a heinous crime." He was condemned for the May 1988 death of John Carty, 72, at his home near Corsicana. Prosecutors also had evidence tying Sterling to the slaying of Delores Smith, 52, a friend of Carty's whose purse and glasses were found at Sterling's home. Sterling led police to their bodies after he was arrested for the slayings of brothers William Porter, 72, and Leroy Porter, 71, near Waco. |
Escapee nabbed: Lawson, alleged accomplice in slammer   ROTHSCHILD, WIS. - Escaped Baraga Maximum Correctional Facility life-sentence felon Garfield Lawson III and accomplice Kathy Lynn Sleep were captured by police early today in Wisconsin, just southeast of Wausau. Lawson, 35, escaped Saturday from the Baraga Maximum Correctional Facility, where he had been serving a life sentence since 1999. Lawson was accompanied by Kathy Lynn Sleep, a 42-year-old civilian who worked in the food services department at the prison. The pair were arrested largely without incident at a motel in Rothschild, Wis., "The male did try to escape out the window and he was arrested outside the window." Registered sex offender charged with sexual assault and robbery of an 82-year-old Claiborne County woman Authorities say 44-year-old Othnie Claiborne, of Pattison, was charged with sexual assault, breaking and entering and robbery after attacking the woman in her home early Saturday morning. Claiborne had served time in prison after a 1990 conviction on rape and assault charges in Jefferson County. Marlon Fann accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend to death then called her mother to brag about it  Police said Marlon Fann killed Merline Port-Louis, 23, of New Cassel, in June, just two months after completing a prison sentence for stabbing her three years earlier. Friends said at the time that Port-Louis was afraid of Fann, with whom she had a 3-year-old daughter, Jasmine. Weeks before the killing, she had taken out a restraining order against him, and police had given her the panic button to press if he came near her. Police said Fann called Merline's mother just before killing her and told her what he was about to do. After shooting Port-Louis in front of her house while their child slept inside, he called her mother back to brag about what he'd done, police said. - (Aryan Barbarian) |

Williams, 25, was charged with murder, conspiracy, making a false official statement, aggravated assault, assault upon a child and obstruction of justice in the death of Talia Emoni Williams. He could now get the death penalty. Under the military justice system, Naeem Williams faced a charge with a maximum sentence of life in prison. Tulsa Father Will Stand Trial For The Death Of His Son  A Tulsa County court judge rules that a father will stand trial in the death of his son and graphic details of his death come out in court. Carlis Ball was taken into custody back in June, when rescuers found his two-year-old son Keenan Taylor on the floor of his apartment. The boy was convulsing, vomiting, and had burns over 75-percent of his body. Keenan died on the way to the hospital. Carlis Ball had a hard time keeping his composure in Tuesday's preliminary hearing as he heard testimony from doctors about the way Keenan died. - (Aryan Barbarian) |
Man goes on rampage, slays ex-girlfriend's mom, dog - "Love is strange"  The former boyfriend of a Brooklyn woman went on a rampage Tuesday, fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend's mother and dog, and slashing another relative in the face, police said. The slaying occurred inside a two-story brick house on East 43rd Street near Avenue N, where police and family members said Pierre Carrenard, 35, had been harassing his former girlfriend since late last year By the time a 16-year-old relative, whose name was not released, descended a flight of stairs to inquire about the commotion, Esperance Labidou, 53, and her Chihuahua, Foo-Foo, were dead, police and relatives said. No Appeals Standing In Way Of Tulsa Killer's Execution - "Love is strange"  TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- An Oklahoma death row inmate is scheduled to die Thursday for the 1994 shooting death of his estranged girlfriend. Clemency has been denied and there are no pending appeals for 52-year-old Kenneth Eugene Turrentine. Turrentine was originally convicted of killing four people in the June 4th, 1994 shooting spree that claimed the life of Anita Richardson. But a federal appeals court last year threw out his convictions and death sentences in the slayings of Richardson's 13-year-old son, Martise, and her 22-year-old daughter Tina Pennington. Turrentine received a no-parole life term for killing his sister, 47-year-old Avon Stevenson, in Tulsa on the same day. - (Aryan Barbarian) |

Police: Black inmate's white wife kills guard, frees husband * Officer Killed, Suspects Possibly Headed for Rhea County   (CNN) -- Tennessee authorities are searching for a black escaped prisoner George C. Hyatte and his white wife, Jennifer Lyn Hyatte, who they say sprang him by opening fire on the guards who were escorting him from a courthouse. One guard, Wayne Morgan, was shot and died from his wounds. Corrections officers were preparing to put Hyatte into a waiting van when a dark-colored SUV appeared behind the van. "Mr. Hyatte hollered, 'Shoot 'em!' Then she opened fire on the officers, hitting one in the abdomen." Williamsburg Police Charge Pair from Baltimore After 14-year Old Claims She Was Raped on Table at Plantation  Police in Williamsburg have arrested two men after a 14-year old girl alleged she was raped last week while visiting the area with her parents. Investigators say 18-year old Shawn J. Harding is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and carnal knowledge of a child. Police say Harding and another man, 18 year old Kodie-Layne Freburger, were playing cards on a picnic table at Williamsburg Plantation. The victim and her step-sister approached the pair. Eventually, the step-sister left. The next morning, officials say the victim was found semi-conscious at the table. Wilson County Authorities Arrest Black Murder Suspect that shot Hispanic  Tracy Lamont Lewis was arrested Saturday night by investigators from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office. Lewis is being held without bond in the Wilson County Detention Center for the slaying of Victor Cisneros Serrano. A couple called 911 after they saw Serrano fall out of a pickup truck into the road. When investigators arrived, they realized he had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A motive for the crime is not known at this time. - (Jesse Gibson) |
Police Search For Rape Suspect Accused Of Attacking 15-Year-Old SANFORD, Fla. -- Police are searching for an accused rapist who they said attacked a 15-year-old girl. Investigators said Adrian Michael Jones somehow broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and attacked her daughter early Saturday morning. This wasn't the first time Jones caused problems for the family. He got into trouble at their complex just a week before the attack. Police said the victim's younger sister was also home during the attack and saw the whole thing. - (reader link) |
