She didn't see them, but she heard them when she leaned on her car horn as Matthew A. Fowler plunged a butcher knife into her gut in a Tampa parking lot. A jury convicted Fowler, 40, of attempted murder nearly two years after he attacked the woman in front of a doughnut shop. "I was surprised," Hill said. "I actually thought, "Well, it's a homeless person. I should try to give him money."' But when Fowler flashed the 8-inch knife, Hill knew she was in serious trouble. Prosecutor: DNA Match Brings Charges In 2 Rape Cases The arrest of 39-year-old Vincent "Little Man" Williams is part of a new crackdown on sexual offenders. Police said Williams has a criminal history -- nine arrests or convictions during 21 years -- but none of them for sexual assault."Mr. Williams had no history of any violently assaultive behavior," Sanders said. Thursday, prosecutors said Williams' semen has connected him to two rape crimes from 1987 and 1995. Investigators said DNA tests showed a perfect match. Rape suspect Arthur Brown arrested Thursday a Syracuse man was arrested and charged with raping a teenage girl at Crouse Hospital. Arthur Brown is charged with first degree rape. Police say Brown and another man went to the hospital to visit the victim's roommate. The roommate and the man left the room and that's when police say Brown went to the other side of the room and raped the 15-year-old girl. The girl and Brown do not know each other. Court documents show that 21-year-old Christopher Alexander was on probation for eight counts of statutory sodomy, but he did not register as a sex offender when he moved into his apartment off Caesar Chavez. Parsram Chettana arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl Parsram Chettana, 43, is charged with first-degree rape for the alleged attack on Tuesday night. Police said the young victim was walking home on Chrisler Avenue when Chettana grabbed her from behind. He's accused of carrying her into a vacant home and raping her before she eventually broke free and got away. Chettana was arrested Wednesday night. Samson Y. Berhe, who turns 18 on Thursday, was ordered detained in juvenile court. He was arrested Monday after he was found on a barge across the Duwamish River from the shooting scene. Michael Robb, a tennis coach at Newport High School, was shot in the face Sunday night as he sat in his car on West Marginal Way in Seattle. Witnesses said a male approached the car and fired a shotgun through the open driver's side window, then ran toward the river. Neighbors told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the teen said he had a grudge against white people. "He always say that he (was) gonna kill all the white people in the world," said Anna Bell Perkins. "Samson had, like, some sort of complex against Caucasian people. And he said he wanted to kill them all and told me I could watch," said another neighbor. According to court documents, Behre owned a shotgun. Police cut down a tree from his yard and recovered a bullet of the same caliber used to kill Robb. Harwell sentenced to life for East Toledo rape and murder Robert Harwell, 21, showed no emotion as the judge announced a sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years for killing Joann Harris, 62, five years ago in her home in East Toledo. Mrs. Harris, a widow who lived alone, was sexually assaulted and attacked on Feb. 3, 2000, in her home after she heard Harwell and a neighbor arguing and went outside to investigate. After Harwell chased the neighbor with a knife, he entered Mrs. Harris’ home through a back door and attacked her. Dirty Old Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting 4-Year-Old Louis County Police arrested 66-year-old Bennie Jones, and he has been charged with statutory sodomy. Almost 11 years later, DNA evidence recently connected Keith Hawkins, 37, to the rape of a then 71-year-old woman in her Kenwood home on July 17, 1994, Deters said.

14-year-old girl raped and murdered - stepfather to be charged The body of a 14-year-girl was found by Wayne County lawmen early today and her stepfather is expected to be charged with her rape and murder. Jonneka Nikki Spencer was found in a wooded area off Church of God Road before dawn by detectives with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Young is accused of inappropriately touching the student in March as well as watching her change clothes in the locker room through the blinds in his office. Further investigation alleged that he also pulled down the victim's clothing, revealing her undergarments. Two sheriff's vehicles were also damaged when the 12-year-old driver rammed themas she sped away from an intersection, deputies said. Mother of five beaten to death with metal pipe by father of youngest  FORT LAUDERDALE · Five children are motherless, and the father of the youngest is charged with murder after police said he beat the mother to death with a metal pipe. The sounds of yelling startled residents of a triplex apartment in Fort Lauderdale around 6:15 a.m. Outside their homes, Joannes Pierre, 39, beat Camille Wilson with a pipe, according to police. Homicide detectives went to the hospital where friends of Power told deputies that they had driven him to the hospital after he was stabbed by Christopher Jean-Marie.
