Sheriff: Death of prominent (White female) Prattville resident ruled homicide, arrest made AUTAUGA CO., AL - The death of a prominent Prattville resident on Tuesday has been ruled as a homicide and an arrest has been made in the case, according to Autauga County Sheriff Joe Sedinger. Sedinger said Carol Parker Nunnery's body was found on Tuesday by an Autauga County resident on the edge of a pond on County Road 3, located off Highway 14. Nunnery's vehicle was found in another location on Highway 14 in Prattville earlier Tuesday. On Wednesday, Sedinger said the case is now classified as a homicide, and that Willie Foster was arrested by U.S. Marshals in relation to the case. Sedinger says he believes Foster was doing some yard work for Nunnery, but a motive for the homicide still remains unclear. Nunnery was 72 and, at one time, operated a small nursery on Highway 31. She co-founded the Autauga Creek Improvement Committee five years ago with Skip Lobmiller, who is also serving as the family spokesman. "We had a lot of fun times. Carol was my motivation," Lobmiller said. "From day one she started cleaning. She was a little older so she didn't get out in the water but served refreshments and baking was her specialty. She was a very strong Christian faith woman, always in good spirits, always active in the community regardless of the circumstances whether it be the Autauga County Heritage Association [and] volunteered at the museum during the week." - (Black-on-white) |

Cowardly gold-tooth negro shot (White) female teen during armed purse-snatching - 'He was aiming to kill' HOUSTON -- It was May, Friday the 13, and one 16-year-old was feeling accomplished. She had just gotten her first paycheck at a Studio Movie Grill in northwest Harris County and walked straight to the ATM on her way home. "I felt like someone was following me, so I kind of went to the other side of the road," she said. She kept walking until she heard a man yell at her from behind. "He said, 'Shut up and give me everything (expletive),'" she said. The teen spotted a driver in a car nearby and ran to him, screaming for help. But that driver wasn't there to help her. "I thought it was a regular person but it was his getaway driver. And he told him to hurry up and finish, like, what he was doing. He got the purse, got in the car, the car had moved up, and he shot me and drove off," she said. Someone in the apartment complex heard her screaming and called 9-1-1. Her dad was working as an emergency dispatcher at the time. "My wife called me crying, saying Amanda had been shot," he said. One of the ambulances in his fleet ended up taking his daughter to Memorial Hermann Hospital. "He was aiming to kill, and it almost hit my heart," the 16-year-old said. She has a broken collarbone and a broken rib. She should get better physically. Emotionally, though, she has more healing to do. "My anxiety is a lot worse. Also I cry during the day and I don't know why," she said. A sketch artist with the Harris County Sheriff's Office drew this picture of the suspect, based on the victim's denoscription. "On his teeth, at the bottom, every other tooth was gold and then the top three were gold," she said. If you recognize the suspect in the sketch, call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. - (Black-on-white) |
Conviction of (black) 17-year-old upheld in murder of (White) Brockton cabbie The state supreme court on Wednesday upheld the conviction of Adilson Neves for the 2008 murder of Brockton taxi driver Edward Conley. Neves, who was one month shy of his 18th birthday when he killed Conley, was sentenced in 2011 to life in prison without parole. His lawyers appealed on the grounds that statements Neves made to police were involuntary and should have been suppressed at his trial. They also challenged the admission of grand jury testimony from a witness who claimed a loss of memory, the failure to strike the testimony of a witness who violated a sequestration order and the judge's failure to instruct the jury about a finding of involuntary manslaughter. Conley, a 56-year-old father of two, was fatally shot in the back of the head during a robbing of his cab on Galen Street, a dead-end off Centre Street (Route 123), on Feb. 16, 2008. A jury took less than 90 minutes to convict Neves. - (Black-on-white) |
Black savage attacks White man with machete at gas station A black savage used a machete to attack a White man at a Dewey Avenue gas station on Saturday night. Greece police say Timothy Pearson, 55, of Rochester, is charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. The unidentified out-of-state victim and Pearson suffered cuts on their hands during the altercation, which took place around 11:30 p.m. "The suspect, Pearson, appeared to be trying to sell (stolen?) electronics to the victim in the parking lot as the victim was seated in the car nearby." "The altercation verbally escalated. Pearson kind of went away from the car, retrieved machete-style knife from his vehicle, and then began to approach the victim again." The victim ran into the gas station and was followed by Pearson. "At one point Pearson strikes the victim in the head with the machete, but the non-blade side of the machete so the victim didn't sustain a cut at that point." Pearson then left the building and allegedly began rifling through the victim's vehicle in the parking lot, and another struggle ensued when the victim confronted him. Pearson is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear at 11 a.m. Friday in Greece Town Court. - (Black-on-white) |

Sheriff: (Black) Ex-husband killed (white) Hobe Sound woman in front of (their mixed-race) child HOBE SOUND — Steven Williams confessed late Tuesday to killing his ex-wife Tricia Todd — for whom the Martin County Sheriff’s Office searched for nearly a month — but not to where he disposed of her body, Sheriff William Snyder said Wednesday. “The lack of a body will not be an impediment as we go forward with prosecution,” Snyder said about his departm ent’s case against Williams, who has been charged with second-degree murder and child neglect. Williams, a 30-year-old Air Force airman stationed in North Carolina, remains in the Martin County Jail without bond. Snyder said Williams only told detectives that Todd’s remains were in a “wooded area” in Hobe Sound, although investigators spent weeks following her April 27 disappearance searching the area by foot and with cadaver dogs. ” Williams was court-ordered to pay $1,150 a month in child support to Todd beginning in March 2015, when the couple divorced, court records show. Todd was a 30-year-old hospice nurse raising the couple’s 2-year-old daughter. Williams was the last person to see Todd alive — on April 26 — and was caught on surveillance footage driving her car after she was killed, Snyder said. Their child was “around” when Williams “caused” Todd’s death. - (Black-on-white) |

Arrests made in (black-on-White) Prattville murder PRATTVILLE – A 14-year-old and 15-year-old have been charged with murder in a Sunday homicide that occurred in Prattville and an adult suspect is at large, said Police Chief Mark Thompson. The suspect is Santwone Cornelius Jones, 24, of 1203 Bragg St., in Montgomery, the chief said. All three suspects are from Montgomery, Thompson said. The teenagers are in custody in Montgomery and the district attorney’s office will begin court proceedings to have them declared as adults in the case, Thompson said. John Michael Taylor, 56, was found at 1 a.m. Sunday in the middle of the 1900 block of Cobbs Ford Road suffering from a gunshot wound, the chief said. Before succumbing to his wound, he told officers that he had been robbed by three men. Police believe Taylor was targeted after he left a service station, also in the 1900 block of Cobbs Ford Road. Robbery is the apparent motive in the killing, said C.J. Robinson, chief assistant district attorney. Video footage from the business shows Taylor in the store at the same time as the trio of suspects. Taylor was allegedly forced into a red or maroon vehicle, robbed and then shot, authorities say. He was able to walk to Cobbs Ford Road where he collapsed and a passing motorist called police, Thompson said. The three suspects and Taylor did not know one another, he said Thompson would not release the names of the teenagers due to their juvenile status. - (Black-on-white) |

I had to ball up.’ I couldn’t take it no more.” Since the fight on Monday, Zagwoski said she’s taken her concerns to the school principal and filed a written complaint. She said she want more done to address the school bus issues. “You have to wait. There’s nothing you can do. You have to wait. Wait for the forms to be filed,” she said. Police Officer In Shock That Woman Convicted Of Murdering His Brother Could Go Free LOS ANGELES — A police officer is stunned and in disbelief after learning that the woman who was convicted of murdering his bother could get out of prison. “Breaks my heart for the whole law enforcement profession,” says LAPD Captain Brian Pratt. For Pratt, crime and punishment is deeply personal. His own brother — also an LAPD officer, was gunned down in the line of duty in 1988. Pratt was undercover with another officer when he was shot and killed during a gang-related drive-by. The driver of the car, Raylene Brooks, is being considered for parole. “She could have told her boyfriend ‘No I’m not going to do this.’ But she tactically drove the vehicle the wrong way down the street so she could put her vehicle as close as possible to my brother’s police vehicle,” Pratt says. Pratt’s big brother Daniel was 30 when he was murdered. At his memorial Captain Pratt talked about how much Daniel loved his family. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Man convicted of kidnap-rape-murder of (White female) Youngstown State U student loses appeal COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of a man originally sentenced to death for murdering a Youngstown State University student. Although the death sentence in the case was dismissed earlier, the court on Thursday voted 6-to-1 to affirm the conviction of 58-year-old Bennie Adams who was found guilty of murdering Gina Tenney in 2008. The 19-year-old victim had been robbed, raped and her body tossed in the river in 1985. Adams argued that he had ineffective legal counsel that failed to challenge items such as evidence being presented by a substitute witness instead of the coroner who originally performed the autopsy on Tenney. He also argued that the evidence against him was insufficient to convict him of aggravated murder in the course of committing a rape or kidnapping. The Court disagreed, ruling that there is sufficient evidence to prove otherwise. Although the Supreme Court's most recent ruling upholds Adams' conviction, a ruling from the high court last year has already vacated the death sentence in the case. Because the case was sent back to the lower court, the U.S. Constitution's double jeopardy clause prohibits someone from being tried or punished twice for the same crime. When Adams is re sentenced in Mahoning County on June 6, the maximum penalty he faces is life in prison. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Arrested in December mystery killing (of White man) Now that a Dublin area man is in jail for killing a Macon man in December, the victim’s family still wants to know why. Torrance Deon Rouse, a 20-year-old from Montrose, was arrested at about 10:30 a.m. Friday by the U.S. Marshals of the Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force and charged in last year’s slaying of 43-year-old Deleon Wiley Hudson. “Oh my God, this is so wonderful,” Hudson’s widow Jeanie exclaimed when she learned of Rouse’s arrest. Since Dec. 22, Hudson’s wife and in-laws have been puzzled as to why anyone would shoot the artistic loner who was due at work that day at the Family Dollar. Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said they believe the killing was a failed robbery attempt on a desolate dirt road plagued by illegal dumping. The arrest comes six months after Hudson’s body was discovered with a gunshot wound to his head inside his in-laws’ Xterra, which was parked on Lakeshore Drive. Someone had tried to set the SUV on fire, but the rag sticking out of the gas tank had burned out. - (Black-on-white) |

Trial opens for (black) Bexar deputy who killed (an unarmed White man) man after car crash A motorist shot to death in 2013 by an off-duty Bexar County sheriff’s deputy had been heatedly arguing with his wife via text-messaging shortly before the fatal encounter, a defense attorney told a jury Tuesday as the former deputy’s murder trial started. Anthony Lamont Thomas, now 41, was wearing a uniform but was off duty and in his personal vehicle when he and Mathew Jackson, 29, were involved in a minor car crash on Aug. 31, 2013. Jackson had gotten off work at a restaurant and bar and then went to a friend’s house, where he had drinks. After that, he was driving down the highway when his car “bumped side mirrors” with Thomas’ vehicle, and both men pulled over. Thomas, a 16-year Sheriff’s Office veteran, shot and killed Jackson. Thomas told investigators he had felt threatened because Jackson ran toward him with something in his hand that looked shiny, and that he heard a gunshot. Special prosecutor Miguel Najera said in his opening argument that the evidence “does not correspond at all” to Thomas’ story, that Jackson was unarmed and “there was no justification” for the killing. - (Black-on-white) |

He recently won some money playing the lottery and posted about paying things off and buying new electronics on Facebook. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the (diverse) trio wanted one thing: “flash cash,” or money they could flaunt in a rap music video. "So they needed some ‘flash cash’ and (the white boy wigger) Dylan said, hey, I just bought some marijuana from a guy couple weeks ago. He'll be an 'easy lick.’” Their easy target, the sheriff said, was 21-year-old Tyler Macklin, who they knew had drugs and cash and wouldn't fight back. Deputies say 18-year-old Jonathan Felix, nicknamed “Killa,” and 18-year-old Joseph Brandon Jr., nicknamed “Waxx,” kicked in the door on Tangerine Parkway in Winter Haven and shot the victim for the cash in his wallet. They also say 21-year-old Dylan Kindred helped plan the robbery and drove the car. A YouTube video viewed by the Sheriff's Office shows the trio performing at Ybor City's Club Skye. All three suspects have criminal records. Though Kindred has not been charged with murder, just conspiracy to commit robbery, deputies say the investigation is still open. - (Black-on-white)

(Black) Defendant Pleads Guilty To Kidnapping, Rape, Murder Of (White) Teen Girl FAIRFIELD -- A Fairfield man pleaded guilty today to the murder of a 13-year-old Suisun City girl during a rape, kidnapping and sexual assault in 2013. Anthony Lemar Jones, 35, who faced the death penalty for the crimes against Genelle Conway-Allen on or around Jan. 31, will be sentenced in June to life in prison without parole. His trial was scheduled for September. "Although the People strongly feel death is the appropriate punishment for this horrific crime, the plea brings finality and closure to the victim's family, the police department and our community and it provides certainty that the defendant will spend the rest of his life in prison." The prosecution conferred with Allen's family and Fairfield police before agreeing to Jones' plea agreement, Abrams said. The girl's unclothed body was found by a homeless man in a parking lot on Feb. 1, 2013, a few miles from where she was last seen the day before in Suisun City. Conway-Allen was in foster care at the time of her death, and her legal guardian reported her missing. Jones, who worked at a Suisun City barbershop, was identified early on as a suspect. Fairfield police placed Jones under 24-hour surveillance, and he was arrested Feb. 8. Some of Conway-Allen's classmates from the Green Valley Middle School in Fairfield attended a memorial service at a cemetery three weeks after her body was found. She was described as a girl with a bright smile who loved to write songs and poetry. Green Valley Middle School Principal Greg Hubbs said she was energetic and outgoing. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Savannah man, 27, sentenced to two life terms in ‘execution’ killing of (White) Thunderbolt couple Michael Donnta Jones was sentenced to two consecutive life prison terms without the possibility of parole on Friday for his convictions in the 2013 “execution” slayings of a Thunderbolt couple — a killing he bragged about to more than a half dozen friends and colleagues. The judge noticed the absence of remorse and imposed the maximum sentence available. There is no remorse. … A jury found Jones, 27, guilty on April 25 of on malice murder counts in the kllings of Forrest Ison, 27-year-old executive chef at the Brasserie 529 restaurant, and his girlfriend, Alice Stevens, 24, a hostess/waitress there. The couple were gunned down Nov. 3, 2013, by two men in the carport of their home. They also convicted Jones of felony murder by killing both victims during the commission of aggravated assaults by shooting them with a gun and aggravated assault on each by shooting them with a deadly weapon. All of the subsequent convictions merged with the malice murder counts for the sentencing. “We are compassionate people but to this day have hatred and anger to the people who committed this evil crime,” Shela Bingham, Ison’s mother told the judge. “He is an evil person with no compassion for human life.” She called the slayings a “horrible and senseless tragedy” that has impacted her entire family and contributed to her husband’s death as a “tired, depressed, and disheartened (individual) … who simply did not have the will to live. The doctors may think he died from his medical problems, but I know his broken heart was a contributing factor. Stevens begged for her life after seeing her boyfriend slain over what was a “completely mundane firing in a food industry job. … a minimum wage job.” The slayings were retaliation for Ison firing Nathaniel Willie “Nate” Wilkins, 28, after he overcooked some desserts. The two victims were “executed". Meanwhile, trial for Jones’ co-defendant, Wilkins, was halted before jury selection this week. Wilkins had worked in the kitchen at Ison’s restaurant before Ison fired him. “‘Nate, Nate. No God no, Nate,’” Rothschild told jurors Stevens pleaded with Wilkins as she saw the “love of her life” gunned down before her.” Each was shot in the chin and the back of the head. Ison was pronounced dead at the scene. Ison was shot in the chin up close by an assailant who then likely put his foot in the victim’s back before firing the shot into his head. - (Black-on-white) |

Jury finds (black) man guilty of reckless homicide in Rockford crash that killed (White couple) Dorothy Galloway, Howard Riddle ROCKFORD — Jurors found Dontrell Littleton guilty of two counts of reckless homicide and possession of a stolen vehicle today, but decided he was not under the influence of drugs at the time of a fatal crash on Sept. 29, 2013. The crash killed local sculptor Howard Riddle and his wife Dorothy Galloway. James Galloway, Dorothy’s brother, said he took “very little” solace in the verdict. “He got away with murder,” Galloway said as Judge Fernando Engelsma read the verdict. “I think (the verdict) is wrong,” James Galloway said afterward. “He tested positive for marijuana, which is against the law in Illinois. That’s proven, and they said not guilty. They made a big mistake.” Prosecutors told a jury of six men and six women today that Littleton was high and driving a stolen Hyundai Elantra at dangerously high speeds before he lost control and drove into oncoming traffic where he "torpedoed" Howard Riddle's Chrysler 300. - (Black-on-white) |

Elderly (White) woman held at knife during home invasion robbery (by cowardly criminal black man) MARTINSBURG, Wv. "When they arrived on the scene they found an elderly female had been robbed at knife point in her house," said Lieutenant Brendan Hall with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. Police say it all happened on Thursday afternoon on Aztec Drive in Martinsburg when a man tried to enter an elderly woman's home under disguise. "A male had come to her door and identified himself as a utility worker from a water company, and when she asked to see his ID, he forced entry into her house," added Lieutenant Hall. Although the woman wasn't harmed, police say the suspect did take her debit card and attempted to use it. Neighbors say they can't believe a nearby home was invaded, and robbed. "We live in a pretty quiet neighborhood, and something like this is pretty disturbing," said neighbor, Matt Lohr. The victim described the suspect as a thin built black male, about 40 to 50 years old, about six foot three inches tall. She said he had on a black lonf sleeve shirt, black jeans, and a black driver cap. Criminal investigator were able to obtain photos of the suspect's vehicle from a neighbors home security system. Police say the vehicle appears to be a Cadillac Escalade, or a GMC Ukon. "We believe that he may be familiar with this area, and there may be people out there that know his identity, and we're asking for help from the public." added Lieutenant Hall. - (Black-on-white) |

DNA evidence links (black) man to 1999 rape, attempted murder in KCK KANSAS CITY, KS - A man recently convicted of a rape committed decades ago is headed to prison, but his victim says, in this case, justice should have come years earlier. For the first time in 17 years, a woman, who we will call Juliette, came face-to-race with her attacker. In court, she detailed the medical bills, insurance stresses and costs to the justice system that brought her to this day. She said she wasn’t the only victim due to her attack and looked over at her 21-year-old daughter. But she’s less angry at him than the system she said failed to bring her justice sooner. "What's really the most heartbreaking part of this for me is that I lost my faith in humanity. It just changed my world view," Juliette said. Almost two decades after the attack and she still struggles with fear. To protect her identity, she asked to go by Juliette. "Unless you've been through this I don't know if you can even fathom," she said. When she was 32 years old, Juliette lived in a house on Eaton Street in Kansas City, KS. In August 1999 she woke up to someone massaging her feet. Fifteen years, nine months and 25 days later, Jibri Burnett was convicted of raping and trying to kill her. He stabbed her over and over. He was 21 when he attacked Juliette. He plead guilty to first-degree attempted murder and rape and took a plea deal that means he will spend the next 17 years in jail. He appeared repentant and said that justice was being served. Juliette said she’s happy Burnett is behind bars, but she’s frustrated it took so long. She blames law enforcement. "Kansas City, KS, Police Department received notification that there was a DNA match in 2009 or 2010. They sent that to the KCKPD who did nothing with it," - (Black-on-white) |

(White) Mega-church pastor stabbed in southwest Charlotte home invasion (by dreadlocked black with droopy-doper eye) CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A worship leader at one of Charlotte’s biggest churches is at home with his family a day after he was robbed and stabbed as he opened the door to his home in west Charlotte, the victim's friends said. Matt Bentley opened the door Wednesday afternoon to walk into his home on Barringer Drive when a man who had broken into the home attacked him, friends said. “He just kind of bum-rushed him, kind of swinging, asking for keys, wallet, phones, et cetera,” roommate Hudson Hower said Thursday afternoon. The attacker stabbed Bentley four times on the arms, the side and on his face, but none of the wounds were life-threatening and Hower said Bentley was released from the hospital Thursday morning. “He's in good spirits. He's glad that the injuries aren't any worse than they were,” said Stacey Martin, communications director at Forest Hill Church in Charlotte. Bentley is a ministry leader and a musician who prepares the congregation for worship at the church’s Ballantyne campus. Martin said Bentley called one of his colleagues at the church, and news of the attack spread quickly. “So he's being loved on, cared for well, being covered in prayer,” Martin said. Police arrested Corey Edgerton, 25, a few hours later in connection with the attack. Prison records show that Edgerton spent two years in prison for break-ins in Wake County and was wanted by probation officers as an absconder. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Man already accused in one murder, now suspected in second (murder of White woman in 2011) DAYTON -- A suspect has been indicted in the 2011 murder of Sheila Tucker, and prosecutors say that suspect is already in custody awaiting trial for another, unrelated murder. Markus Henry, 31, was indicted Tuesday on 15 counts relating to the Tucker case, which had been cold for the last five years. Tucker's loved ones were left with questions about her killer after Tucker's body was found shot, raped and burned in a garage set on fire on North McGee Street in Dayton in 2011. The Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office says they now have biological and DNA evidence identifying Henry as Tucker's killer. Coincidentally, Markus Henry had already been in custody at the time of this latest indictment. He was indicted and jailed in June 2015 and charged with the 2010 murder of Resa Anne Lee. Police said Lee had been found stabbed to death outside the Job Center in Dayton. - (Black-on-white) |
