Elyria for the murder of a White

Ohio — An Ashtabula woman is
heading to Lorain County to face
charges in the fatal shooting of a
woman July 24 in Elyria, according to
Ashtabula Municipal Court records.Brea Holley, 27, waived her rights for an extradition hearing Tuesday morning before Ashtabula Municipal Court Judge Laura DiGiacamo. Elyria Police Lt. Mark Groomes said Holley was wanted related to the shooting of a 29-year-old woman in a home on Beebe Avenue in Elyria around 10:47 p.m. Friday. Ohio (WOIO) - The 42-year-old
Cleveland man accused of shooting a
Cleveland policewoman several times in
the arm and back was indicted by the
Cuyahoga County Grand Jury.Darryl Borden was indicted on two counts of attempted aggravated murder, three counts of felonious assault and one count of having weapons under disability. According to Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams, police officers were called to a residence in the 2000 block of East 81st Street around 3:45 a.m. on July 20. Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley said a 45-year-old woman called police after Borden threatened her with a gun and fired a shot into a bedroom floor. When officers arrived, they entered the residence and found Borden hiding in a bathroom, prosecutors said. Borden then fired multiple shots, striking Officer Kilnapp, prosecutors said. Prosecutors added the officers returned fire before running outside to safety. Williams said Kilnapp’s partner administered first aid, before EMS took her to the hospital. She was released from the hospital several days later. This individual’s lawless actions nearly resulted in the death of this dedicated police officer,” said O’Malley. “We continue to wish Officer Kilnapp a speedy recovery.” SWAT officers took Borden into custody later that morning after a standoff. - (Black-on-White) |

death and a woman was seriously
injured late Thursday during an attack
at a home in a gated Windermere
community while a
10-year-old boy called
authorities while hiding in a
bathroom, police said.Windermere Police said Ezekiel Emanuel Hopkins pushed the community’s gate open with his car, then tried to steal a car from the home when he was confronted by the homeowners, John and Lisa Savey. Police said Hopkins attacked Savey and beat him to death with a baseball bat outside the home. Hopkins then went inside the home, where he beat Lisa Savey and her son, James Savey, who was killed, according to police. Lisa Savey was hospitalized with serious injuries, police said. According to police, the boy, who lives at the home with his grandparents, called 911 to report a home burglary. The Winter Garden police dispatcher kept the boy on the phone while the child hid in a bathroom. Officers found Hopkins in another bathroom in the home and arrested him. Hopkins was taken to Orlando Health Central Hospital because it appears he drank bleach and was not responsive, police said. police station.Lovelle Jordan, 25, was accused Friday of opening fire at the officers from the back seat of a police vehicle with a handgun he managed to keep hidden when he was taken into custody after allegedly getting into a stolen 2018 Porsche in the Austin neighborhood. Jordan faces six counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of being an armed habitual criminal, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, possession of stolen vehicle and two misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, according to police and Cook County prosecutors. “He tried to kill six police officers,” Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan said during a news conference Friday morning before Jordan’s initial hearing on the charges. Jordan fired at least five shots at the officers, striking one in the shoulder; fragments from that bullet wounded that officer in the neck, prosecutors said. The officer is in a medically induced coma as he receives treatment. Two other officers were also hurt. Jordan was shot multiple times when officers returned fire, causing him to be paralyzed from the chest down, prosecutors said. He remained in custody at Stroger Hospital and was not present in court. |

Neb. — A man was shot Thursday evening
in Omaha after fleeing from a traffic
stop.The incident began at 6:30 p.m. at 49th and Northwest Radial. According to a police report, the female driver and her passenger, Marcel Turner, 22, said they did not have any identification and did not have any weapons in the vehicle. The officer began to search the vehicle after smelling marijuana in the car. Police say the officer called for backup and Turner ran from the vehicle. Omaha police said in a statement Friday: "Turner ran from the vehicle and continued running with his hand tucked close to his abdomen, despite the primary officer’s issuance of seven distinct loud verbal commands to ‘show me your hands.' Gunshots were fired during the course of the foot pursuit." Officials clarified Turner's injury came from a shot fired by police. Police said they found a pistol magazine where Turner had been running. Police also said there were multiple 911-calls from neighbors reporting a male with a gun running through their yard, as well as video footage showing Turner running with a gun in his hand. Turner was found hiding in a backyard, and a Glock handgun was found nearby. During his interview, police say Turner admitted to having the gun. Turner said he ran from the car because he was afraid. |

Slater allegedly asked the victim to provide inappropriate photos of herself. On Thursday, Slater was arrested and charged with carnal knowledge of a child 13-15 years old. saying he believes he was

returning home to his apartment on
Avenue N in the Flatlands section,
unlocking the door, when the
suspect creeped up behind him.“He came from this direction, and he shoved me inside,” Pedro Colon told DeAngelis. Colon, 77, says he tried to put a fight when he was forced into his apartment Sunday afternoon, but he knew he was no match for the suspect. “I was very scared. I did the best I could, but again he was too young, too strong for me to fight,” Colon said. He says the suspect stole a kitchen knife from his apartment where he also demanded money, but Colon only had $8. “He got the cell phone and he started calling,” Colon said. “He said it was a car service, but it possibly might have been an accomplice,” Colon said. The suspect then forced Colon into the car and drove to a Chase bank on Flatbush Avenue, where police say he was ordered to take out cash. “He took some of the money and put it in my pocket. There’s a possibility he might have done that to put, give people the impression I wasn’t being robbed, that he was helping me along,” Colon said. Colon says the man made two ATM withdrawals from his account, getting away with $900. Eventually, police say the suspect ran off, leaving the car behind, and Colon, who wasn’t physically hurt, but shaken up. Colon says he went to a supermarket and called police. “Thank God that I’m still alive and it could have been a lot worse,” Colon said. He’s hoping police catch the suspect, for the sake of other vulnerable people. |

Springs' east side, police said.
Police believe David Roberts, 53,
is tied to multiple sexual assaults
which have been under investigation
since January, when detectives
received a report of a sexual assault
on a
16-year-old girl at a
hotel in the 600 block of Peterson
Road near U.S. 24, police say.According to an affidavit, the girl, who was reported as a runaway Dec. 30, had returned home and told her mother that she had been raped by a man named "Darule" at a Super 8 motel who asked if she wanted to work for him. The victim described Darule as a "black male, tall, approximately 40-50 years old with a shaved head." After being transported to a local hospital she told police that she was "forced to take drugs and was possibly being sex-trafficked," according to the affidavit. The affidavit said that the girl appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamines during the medical exam. In February police received information about the false imprisonment of a 22-year-old woman in the 3600 block of East Uintah Street in east Colorado Springs, according to police. In July, police say, there was a report of 38-year-old woman being sex trafficked from the same hotel on Peterson Road where the 16-year-old girl said she was attacked. According to an affidavit, Roberts is charged with two counts of sexual assault, one count of human trafficking, one count of criminal attempt-human trafficking, and two counts of false imprisonment. |

The Diocese, which serves more than 1.4 million Catholics in Nassau and Suffolk counties, has since asked for 86 sex abuse cases brought against it to be put on hold pending an appeal of their case fighting the CVA. about the crime, claiming he is a

report.Jerry David Thompson, 42, of Hartford, had recently moved into a vacant bedroom in the Asylum Avenue home of Victor King, 64, a Travelers insurance company retiree and professional bridge player, the Hartford Courant reported. Thompson threatened his landlord with the sword after the two men had a dispute about the suspect not paying the rent, according to the arrest warrant cited by the news outlet. A day before he was beheaded Sunday, King reported to police that Thompson had waved the blade at him, the Courant reported. When King’s friends could not reach him Sunday, they alerted authorities. Police and firefighters later forced their way into the house and discovered the grisly, bloody scene. Police tracked Thompson down and pulled him over in the city’s North End, but he refused to say anything to investigators – but just scribbled on a piece of paper, “paper in glove compart in Jeep is all you need,” according to the report. In the vehicle’s glove compartment, cops found paperwork suggesting that he considered himself a sovereign citizen and not subject to (the White Man's) law. two people have been charged after
multiple surveillance videos and other
evidence allegedly connected them to
the crime.Hecht, 38, of Sturgeon, was shot around 12:41 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Eighth and Locust streets. He died from gunshot injuries later that evening at a hospital. Columbia police arrested Kesean Tyree McNeal, 23, on Sunday on suspicion of second-degree murder. He was charged with the crime Monday and is held without bond at Boone County Jail. A warrant for Marlin Cortez Johnson, 24, on charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action was issued Sunday and his bond is set at $1 million cash only. He was not reported to be in custody at press time Monday. Two witnesses were nearby when Hecht was shot, according to affidavits supporting charges filed by Detective Steve Wilmoth. The first witness said he was walking just a few feet in front of Hecht when he heard a “pop,” turned and saw Hecht lying on the ground. A small silver car then sped away, the witness told police. A second witness told police that as he and the victim were beginning to walk on the crosswalk at the intersection, a car crossed in front of them. The car stopped within a few yards of the victim and a man climbed onto the car’s window. The man is believed to be Johnson, as surveillance footage and other evidence shows McNeal to be the driver. He allegedly pointed a handgun at the group, then asked them “what you say,” and fired the gun, the witness told police. “It is believed this murder had a random victim who was just walking down the street,” Wilmoth wrote. Police collected a single shell casing from the scene and surveillance video from a number of downtown businesses. Just before midnight Saturday, video shows two men believed to be Johnson and McNeal parking the silver car near Ninth and Cherry streets. The men go inside Silverball Bar for about 30 minutes, exit, and are seen entering the Hitt Mini Mart, where one of the men was wearing a handgun, according to Wilmoth’s affidavit. At 12:39 a.m., the same men are seen entering the car believed used in the shooting and driving south on Ninth Street. About 40 seconds before the shooting, another surveillance video shows them turning south from Ninth Street west onto Locust Street. Police note the two men are wearing the same clothing in all of the videos. McNeal was also identified in the video and later by his neck tattoo, according to the affidavit. Police also obtained a video from a business in the 200 block of Locust Street, which showed the shooting. ″... a silver sedan can be seen stopping near the intersection of Locust Street and Eighth Street,” Wilmoth wrote. “There appears to be a brief conversation between the occupants of the sedan and the victim and then a shot is fired from the sedan.” Police were also able to retrieve data from a cruiser’s automatic license plate reader for the plate of the suspect vehicle. It showed the car had been stopped 12 times since December 2018, and in each stop the driver was McNeal. Police posted some of the still photos from the surveillance footage and two separate tips on Sunday identified the second suspect as Johnson, Wilmoth’s affidavit reads. - (Black-on-White) |

Police placed the mother in custody and 12 hours later after an extensive manhunt, her live-in boyfriend was also arrested. Both are accused of having some role in these crimes. For the past three months, twin brothers Zyaire and Zion lived with their mother Lisa Reed, and her boyfriend James Gibson at an apartment on 7th Street in Ecorse. "Two very innocent boys, happy loving children," said Ricky Tanner. At 4 a.m., Uncle Ricky Tanner got a horrible phone call. "To realize what happened in that home to those boys. It angered me and brought me to a level I never thought I would understand." "This is the worst I've ever seen," said Inspector Timothy Sassak, Ecorse police. This, from an officer with 32 years’ experience. "Most people, injuries, and babies, take them to the hospital," Sassack said. One-year-old Zyaire had been found dead and his brother Zion is fighting for his life. "Zion right now is struggling," Tanner said. Zion needs emergency surgery at Detroit Children's Hospital of Michigan. "A broken hip, a broken nose, bleeding on the brain," Tanner said. Ecorse police took their mother into custody. Gibson has a criminal history which includes child abuse. He was just placed on parole for a child abuse case in Traverse City on May 8, during the height of the pandemic and some feel he never should have been released in the first place. "If you are going to do something like that to a child, what else is he capable of," Tanner said. The family told FOX 2 that he was hiding out at his uncle's house. "I want him to know what he did to this family," Tanner said. "I want him to know the suffering."  |

Enright sentenced Ussin, of Gretna, to 40 years in prison for manslaughter, the maximum sentence under state law. He also ordered Ussin to serve 20 years for obstruction of justice and ran the sentences consecutively, effectively giving Ussin a 60-year sentence, court records said. Gray and Ussin were a couple and dated "off-and-on," according to Gretna police. But authorities say Ussin had violently beaten Gray in the weeks before she was killed. During the early-morning hours of Aug. 9, 2018, residential and business surveillance cameras recorded video of the couple walking the streets of Gretna while pushing Gray's 1-year-old son in a stroller. Sometime between 4 and 5 a.m., Gray and Ussin were in the 1200 block of Amelia Street in Gretna where a resident overheard the sounds of an argument, police said. Investigators accused Ussin of attacking Gray, stabbing her repeatedly in her face, chest, neck and back. Gray's son was not injured. Ussin fled, leaving Gray on the ground near a curb, police said. A passerby in a vehicle spotted her body next to her son's overturned stroller. Ussin was arrested the next morning at a house in Harvey. |

Robinson (D-Memphis) is accused of stealing $600,000 from the school and compensating herself more than the grant allowed. Some of the things investigators say she used the grant money for included: a Jeep for her daughter; clothing, accessories, expenses related to her wedding and honeymoon and later, legal fees for her divorce; payments on her personal debts, including credit cards, store charge cards, student loans and other personal loans; travel and entertainment; improvements to her personal residence; expenses related to a body aesthetics business she owned and a snow cone business operated by her kids; and a state senate campaign. The criminal complaint will be presented to a federal grand jury at a later date to consider an indictment. If convicted, Robinson faces a possible sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison, three years supervised release, and a $250,000 fine, prosecutors said. There is no parole in the federal system. |

attack was random.The Berks County District Attorney charged 29-year-old Raphael Perez-Rodriguez with first-degree murder. He’s accused of fatally stabbing the 76-year-old Fink in Fink’s Bern Township backyard earlier this month. Police say after the murder, Perez-Rodgriguez ransacked Fink’s home and stole his wallet, laptop and other items. But shortly after, he was pulled over during a traffic stop in Reading because the car had an altered license. Police later discovered the car was stolen. “Reading police officers discovered items belonging to Fink in a stolen car Perez-Rodriguez was driving. This is an unusual crime to occur in our community. A military veteran lost his life and I think that our community needs to focus on this victim and the loss of life that has occurred,” Berks County District Attorney John Adams said. |

searching for three suspects
responsible for an armed robbery of
Starr Shop on Lockwood back on July 10
that left a
store clerk with two gunshot wounds.According to reports, robbers got into the store around 5:20 a.m. after using chunks of concrete to break the glass door. One suspect was seen quickly jumping onto the counter, pushing the plexiglass partition out of the way, then quickly pistol-whipping the clerk. The video goes on to show the suspect with the gray hoodie repeatedly hitting the clerk in the head with a gun. Police say it's clear that the employee wasn't offering any resistance, but they are questioning why the suspect still decided to shoot him. The employee was almost shot in the head, according to police. He suffered a gunshot wound to his foot, and his stomach but is expected to survive. Police are searching for the suspects they say fled in what appeared to be a small Hyundai SUV. |

years in prison for sexually
assaulting a female
student at the school.Ladarius Jamon Starks, 19, was sentenced by Circuit Judge Ben Fuller on Monday morning. Starks pleaded guilty in December to sodomy and attempted rape. He had been indicted on those charges along with a kidnapping charge in the wake of the December 2018 attack. Fuller sentenced Starks to 20 years on both the sodomy and attempted rape charges, with the sentences to run consecutively. Starks was 18 at the time of the assault. |

Afterwards he enlisted in Hilliard's legion, and was in service in Tennessee and Kentucky, participating, September, 1863, in the battle of Chicamauga. Upon the reorganization of the legion into the 59th and 60th regiments, he was made first lieutenant of Co. E, 59th regiment. Under command of General Longstreet he took part in the siege of Knoxville and minor engagements. He went from Tennessee to Petersburg, Va., with Gracie's brigade, Bushrod Johnson's division, and with the troops under General Beauregard aided in repulsing General Butler's movements against the Confederate capital. In May, 1864, he was wounded at Drewry's Bluff. Later he took part in the battles about Petersburg, 1864, and was on siege duty and in various engagements, until the evacuation, April 2, 1865. Four days later he was captured at Sailor's Creek and taken to Johnson's Island, Lake Erie, from which he was released until June 19, 1865. He returned to Alabama, making a brief visit to his old home in Glenville, then went to Montgomery where he resumed his permanent residence. He received his title of major by reason of his service on the staff of Gen. Thomas T. Holtzclaw in the Alabama state troops. |

The winner, Republican candidate Donald Trump, found himself besieged by negative media coverage and protests in cities around the nation. The demonstrators held signs emblazoned with slogans such as “Not My President,” declaring Trump to be racist, sexist, xenophobic, or a Nazi. There were demands for a recount and threats of impeachment. Investigative journalism has revealed that many of these protests were instigated by certain interest groups. As shown in “America Under Siege: Civil War 2017,” a documentary directed by Florida-based researcher Trevor Loudon, a significant portion of the demonstrators were “professional revolutionaries” with ties to communist regimes and other authoritarian states, such as North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, or Cuba. Loudon’s work also highlighted the role of two prominent American socialist organizations, the Stalinist Workers World Party and the Maoist Freedom Road Socialist Organization. Having researched the communist movement since the 1980s, Loudon determined that left-wing organizations have made the United States their primary target for infiltration and subversion. The fields of American politics, education, media, and business have increasingly shifted to the left under the influence of well-placed individuals. Even as people around the globe cheered the triumph of the free world after the Cold War, communism was stealthily taking over public institutions of Western society in preparation for the final struggle. America is the light of the free world and carries out the God-given mission of policing the globe. It was the involvement of the United States that determined the outcomes of the world wars. During the Cold War, facing the menace of nuclear holocaust, America successfully contained the Soviet bloc until the disintegration of the Soviet and Eastern European communist regimes. These documents recognize as self-evident the rights bestowed upon man by God — starting with the freedoms of belief and speech — and established separation of powers to guarantee the republican system of government. While the United States fought a civil war, that war was for the purpose of fully realizing America’s founding principles by ending the institution of slavery. Over 200 years, those principles have done an unparalleled job of promoting “domestic tranquility” and securing the “general welfare” promised in the preamble to the Constitution. The freedom of the Western Hemisphere runs directly counter to the goal of communism, which is to enslave and destroy humanity. Masking itself with the beautiful vision of a collective, egalitarian society, communism directed its envoys in human society to carry out its schemes across the entire world. While communism manifests itself in Eastern countries, such as the Soviet Union or China, as totalitarian governments, mass killing, and the destruction of traditional culture, it has been silently and steadily gaining control over the West using subversion and disinformation. It is eroding the economy, political processes, social structures, and moral fabric of humanity to bring about its degeneration and destruction. Since the Communist Party does not have leadership over Western countries, communist supporters, wittingly or not, disguise themselves by infiltrating all sorts of organizations and institutions. There are at least four major forces driving communist subversion in the West. The 1st agent of subversion was the Soviet Union, which founded the communist Third International (Comintern) to spread revolution worldwide. The 2nd means of subversion was effected by local communist parties, which worked with the Soviet Communist Party and the Comintern. 3rd, economic crisis and social upheaval have encouraged many Western governments to adopt socialist policies in the last few decades, resulting in a steady shift to the left. The 4th force of subversion comes from those who sympathize with and support the Communist Party and socialism. And when the train arrived at a stop, the man refused to get off, so the nurse decided to get off at the 69th Street exit. began Thursday night at a liquor store
in the 300 block of West Anaheim
Street, where the suspect was caught
on camera stealing socks and T-shirts
from the store.That's when the store employee, identified by co-workers as 49-year-old Victor, tried to stop the thief by jumping on top of his car as he tried to flee the scene. "The suspect drove with the pedestrian on the hood for approximately three blocks before maneuvering the vehicle to get the pedestrian off the hood," read a statement from the Long Beach Police Department. Surveillance footage in the area shows the suspect driving erratically to try and throw Victor off. Police believe the victim died from injuries sustained from being thrown off the suspect's moving car. |

has been charged with setting a car on
fire after video shows her
apparently filling the SUV with
gasoline and then lighting it, only
to have it explode in her face. Sydney Parham, 26, was arrested on arson charges after police said she set the car on fire on Wednesday. The fire department and deputies were called to the San Remo Apartments on Union Lake Road for a car fire on Wednesday around 8 a.m. Video shot from across the parking lot shows a woman, identified by deputies as Parham, filling the back seat with what looks like gasoline, reaching in to ignite it with what looks like a stick lighter, and then the fire explodes in her face, sending her backward onto the pavement next to the SUV. The video was uploaded to YouTube. The Macomb County Sheriff's office confirmed the video is the same incident that Parham was charged in. When the fire department got the fire put out, nobody was nearby. After speaking with several witnesses and reviewing the video of the fire being set, deputies arrested Parham for the fire. |

murder made an initial court
appearance Monday.Donald Billings, 34, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the June 22 murder of Adam Baith at a home on Adam's Street. Bond was set at $100,000 cash. Billings returns to court for a preliminary hearing July 30. - (Black-on-White) |

Sioux City  The
suspect in Friday’s death of a Norfolk
woman has been arrested in Sioux City.Deshawn Gleaton Jr. is suspected of killing 29-year-old Hailey Christiansen in Norfolk on Friday morning. He was apprehended without incident after the Sioux City Police Department received information that a male with an arrest warrant for murder was at 2627 S. Rustin St. at about 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to Sioux City police. Gleaton is facing charges of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and use of a firearm to commit a felony. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office plans to transport Gleaton to the Madison County Jail. Gleaton was out of prison on bond on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault and first-degree trespassing at the time, Miller said. The victim in those cases also was Christiansen, authorities said. Services for Christiansen will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 30, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk. The Rev. Lee Weander will officiate. Inurnment will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in rural Madison. - (Black-on-White) Two men, were on their way to confront this black domestic murderer but the police got to him first. The men, 27-year-olds Luke Drozd and Mark Gubbels, went to a house in the 1300 block of Park Avenue on Friday morning. Norfolk police officers were also at the house, as it had connections to Gleaton, Miller said. Drozd and Gubbels were armed with a handgun and intent on confronting Gleaton, Miller said. They were arrested in relation to terroristic threats and and the handgun was recovered, Miller said. |

Roxboro Dollar General has died,
police say ROXBORO,
N.C. (WTVD) -- A man has died after
being shot by police near a Dollar
General store in Roxboro around noon
on Friday. It happened on Old Durham
Road near the store on Weeks Drive,
right next to Burchwood Cemetery.
At 10:38 a.m., Roxboro police officers
were dispatched to the area after a
911 caller reported that an armed man
"wearing a mask" was walking down the
street holding a gun. According to
police, the caller said it appeared to
be a shotgun. Police officers arrived
at the scene on at 10:40 a.m. Six
minutes after that, shots were fired.David Brooks Jr., 45, who was identified as the man who was shot, later died from his injuries. Police Chief David Hess said he was unable to release information about what led up to the shooting at this time, including who fired shots. He said that a loaded, sawed-off shotgun was found at the scene. |

apparent random attack on
a 7-year-old boy in
Desert Hot Springs, which rendered the
child comatose.Daniel Birch Poulsen, 32, was arrested Sunday, the day after the youngster was found unconscious lying in the middle of the street in the 9600 block of Vista Del Valle. Along with attempted murder, Poulsen faces one count of willful child cruelty and sentence-enhancing allegations of committing bodily injury. According to the criminal complaint filed by prosecutors, the attack caused the child, named Gavin Ludwick , to "become comatose due to brain injury or to suffer paralysis of a permanent nature.'' "Everything is indicating this is an absolutely random attack,'' Shaw said. Since 2007, Poulsen has been arrested and charged on 15 separate occasions in Riverside County on a wide array of allegations, including burglary, battery, resisting arrest, indecent exposure, committing lewd acts in public and annoying and/or molesting a child under 18 years old. Poulsen was found mentally incompetent to stand trial at least 11 times over the years, court records show. |

Charlotte shopping center   CHARLOTTE,
N.C. (WBTV) - Police say they were
able to arrest three people hours
after a woman was killed due to the
help from witnesses.Katie Eckert, 27, was shot and killed in her car after an armed robbery. It happened at a shopping center off of West Sugar Creek Road after 5 p.m. Tuesday. Detectives have charged 22-year-old Marquez Tyrone Williamson, 25-year-old Bricard Washington and a 16-year-old-male for the murder. Witnesses gave officers a description of the suspect vehicle and the direction it headed, which allowed them to track down the car. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle. Williamson, Washington and the juvenile male were all inside. All three were taken to police headquarters to be interviewed by detectives. At the conclusion of the interview, Williamson, Washington, and the juvenile male were charged with murder, three counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Additionally, the juvenile male was also charged with three counts of malicious conduct by a prisoner. “There was evidence there were drugs associated with that, and we believe that may be a potential motive,” CMPD Lt. man arrested for the murder of a
White woman in east Austin 
AUSTIN
(KXAN) — Austin police said Friday
they made an arrest in connection with
the death of a woman on July 20. APD
arrested James Quinton Sorrels, 23,
in connection with the death of Karen
Sue Henson.
No charges against Sorrels have been made public yet. Police say they are still unclear what happened after Henson went outside of her apartment to investigate a noise she heard, but when police and other emergency personnel arrived at the scene around 2:50 a.m., they found Henson with “severe trauma to her body.” She was found at the Delwood Apartments, 1400 E. 51st Street, police said. Police pointed out that Henson was known for helping others who were homeless, as she was once homeless herself. “Given her efforts, many knew where she lived,” police said. The official cause of death is still not known, police said. The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office is in charge of an autopsy to find the cause and manner of death. - (Black-on-White) |
