Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Family
and friends of an 18-year-old woman
killed in a crash in Delaware County
came to together for a vigil Friday
night at the site that is now marked
with flowers.The group of mourners wore purple - Angel MacIntyre's favorite color - as they remembered the teenager who had just graduated from Sun Valley High School. "With COVID-19, not having a prom, not having a graduation, so if we have to honor her this way, then that is what we have to do," family friend Jeannette Volpe said. Less than 48 hours earlier, cop cars, flashing lights and yellow tape covered the same intersection in Glenolden. Police said the fatal crash was triggered by a routine traffic stop. Collingdale police said the incident began around 1 a.m. Thursday when an officer pulled over the driver of a Ford Escape for a traffic violation. The officer said when he exited his car to approach the vehicle, the driver, later identified as 26-year-old Anthony Jones of Chester, drove away. Police said Jones then turned into a McDonald's located on MacDade Boulevard in Darby and pulled over. But once again, when the officer exited the patrol car, he sped away, ramming a police vehicle in the process. Jones' SUV then collided with a car with teenagers Matt Munafo and Angel MacIntyre inside at the intersection of MacDade Boulevard and Oak Lane in Glenolden. Police said Jones ran away from the scene, leaving his three children, ages 3, 5 and 7, behind along with two injured females and illegally owned guns. Jones was subsequently apprehended and arrested. He admitted to being on drugs, police said. The impact of the crash was so intense, MacIntyre died at the scene. Munafo was taken tot he hospital and remains critically injured. Family and friends said MacIntyre's sister was in the car behind and watched her sister pass. "No excuses. It's not fair he took a life," said family friend Noreen Kilgore. "Her life was cut short because of some reckless behavior and it's not fair. She just graduated," said family friend Ashley Whalen. MacIntyre was set to start at Keystone College in the fall. Now, a makeshift memorial represents a grim reminder of the plans once on the horizon. "We drive by here every single day. So every day you drive by, it's just going to be a reminder; it's not fair," Whalen said. - (Black-on-White) |

shooting death of a 17-year-old girl
early Wednesday morning that police
say appears to have been caused by
“recklessness.”Police have identified the victim as Myah Larmond, a high school student in the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board who lived with her mother in the city. Shortly after 4 a.m. on Wednesday morning, police were responded to a 911 call at 16 St. Matthews Ave. When officers arrived at the home, they found a teenage girl suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to Hamilton General Hospital in life-threatening condition and died around 9:30 a.m., said Det. Sgt. Steve Bereziuk of the major crime unit. Larmond did not live in the home where she was shot but knew at least one person who did. The suspect was located near the scene by officers and was arrested at 2:35 a.m. on Thursday, according to a media release. Devante Skye-Davis, 21, who appeared at John Sopinka Courthouse by video Thursday, has been charged with manslaughter. “At this time, the evidence supports an element of carelessness and recklessness by the accused,” stated the release. “There is currently no evidence to suggest the victim was the intended target.” In the Criminal Code, manslaughter is a homicide committed without the intent to cause death. investigators believed there were as many as five people inside the main area of the home when the gun went off. Police were initially looking for two males in their early 20s that were said to have fled out the back door of the home. Police have not confirmed any relationship between Larmond and Skye-Davis but Vickers said the pair had “dated.” She could not confirm for how long and if they were still in a relationship at the time of the shooting. Worth, TexasA 31-year-old Fort Worth man wanted in a 2018 murder of a 24-year-old Cleburne woman was booked into jail early Monday, according to jail records. Police did not comment on a motive for the November 2018 shooting death. Daricko Brewer, 31, faces a charge of murder, according to Fort Worth jail records. He was in the Tarrant County Jail Monday afternoon in lieu of $250,000 bond. Brewer is accused of fatally shooting 24-year-old Katie Jean McHowell, a mother of two, while the two were in a car on Nov. 2, 2018. Fort Worth police responded to a report of a minor traffic accident on Nov. 2, 2018, in the 5100 block of Brentwood Stair Road. The body of a woman later identified as Katie J. McHowell was discovered in the car, dead of an apparent gunshot wound. A gun was in the car with her, police said. Officials with the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office ruled that McHowell died from a gunshot wound to the neck and her death was a homicide. Burrows contacted an agent with DPS Criminal Investigations Division who assisted with the investigation. The joint investigation produced further results allowing investigators to obtain warrants for Rusk’s arrest.”Rusk has previously been charged with multiple counts of assault causing bodily injury, aggravated sexual assault, assault family violence, criminal trespass and deadly conduct, according to the Harrison County Jail records. |

this morning (Fri) in a robbery in Charleston,
South Carolina.DiLorenzo was walking with his wife, Suzanne Austin, along a street of upscale shops and restaurants just blocks away from the College of Charleston, where Austin had just taken a job as provost. Charleston police said the couple was approached by two individuals demanding money. One had a gun. Police said DiLorenzo was shot at about 6:15 AM and taken to a hospital, where he died. Austin was not physically hurt. Police said the suspects fled the scene. No arrests have been made, but police issued a photo of a silver 2005 Acura TL they believe was involved in the incident and they said “it is believed the vehicle was occupied by three black males possibly in their mid-to-late teens.” DiLorenzo retired earlier this year after seven years at University of North Dakota. abuse of a child in
Harris County is now accused of murder
and kidnapping in southwest Louisiana.Neil Patrick Broussard was taken into custody Thursday morning near Lake Charles after an overnight manhunt, according to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office. Broussard was wanted in connection with the killing of two people and the kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl in Westlake, Louisiana. Deputies were called to a shooting Wednesday in Westlake, Louisiana, and found three people with gunshot wounds. Kyla Hidalgo, 17, and Kaleb Charlton, 18, were pronounced dead. Catherine R. Hidalgo, 40, survived the shooting and told deputies Broussard stole her car and kidnapped her 14-year-old daughter. S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County
Sheriff’s Department has arrested a
39-year-old man accused of raping a
minor for several years.Roberto Battershield has been charged with two counts of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one count of 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. On June 23, 2020, the victim reported to RCSD that she had endured years of abuse from Battershield. Further investigation revealed that Battershield is a close friend of the victim’s family and began sexually abusing her when she was 14 years old, deputies said. The abuse continued for nearly four years and eventually escalated to rape. The victim told authorities that Battershield repeatedly warned her not to tell anyone. She said she did not feel comfortable revealing the abuse until recently. On July 10, Battershield turned himself in at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. |

N.C. (WLOS) — Asheville police have
arrested a man accused of severely
beating and tossing a woman into the
French Broad River last year. Early in
the morning hours of November 17,
2019, the Asheville Police Department
responded to a report of an assault
near the intersection of Craven Street
and Riverside Drive. Officers arrived to find a 29-year-old female victim suffering from a number of serious cuts and bruises, as well as suffering from hypothermia. The investigation revealed that the victim was walking alone in the area and was suddenly and violently assaulted by a man brandishing a blunt object. Following the attack, the victim was thrown into the French Broad River by the suspect. As a result, Justin Porter, 32, of Asheville, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. |

The arrest report says BSO deputies arrived at the Spirit Airlines gate where a disturbance was taking place. Broward Sheriff Office deputies say Danaysha Akia Cuthbert Dixon, 22, Kaira Candida Ferguson, 21, and Tymaya Monique Wright, 20, all from Philadelphia, “intentionally struck Spirit Airlines employees with phones, shoes, full water bottles, and metal signs.” |

on Wednesday arrested a woman they
believe was caught on video assaulting
a bus driver during a long layover in
Culver City days earlier. Shianne
Lovings, 26, was taken into
custody in Rosemead in connection with
the June 12 attack, Culver City Police
Department officials said. The
incident occurred about 1:40 p.m. when
a woman, apparently upset over an
extended layover, walked toward
the driver and pulled her out of her
seat, surveillance video shows.
The suspect then struck the driver
repeatedly as the victim tried to
push her away. At one point the
assailant called the driver an
obscenity. After the attack, the
woman went outside to the front of
the bus and vandalized the
windshield wipers, police said.

Woman charged after 10 dogs found
dead MEMPHIS,
Tenn. — A Memphis woman was charged
with aggravated animal cruelty after
officers found 10
dead dogs at her home.Linda
Green was arrested Wednesday
along Josephine Street. According to
court records, a concerned neighbor
called police after starting to smell
a foul odor coming from the home.
When authorities arrived, Green
reportedly told police the dogs
started to get sick around July 4th
and died a few days later. She said
she could not afford to take them to
the vet and reached out to Memphis
Animal Services for help but no one
came because of COVID-19. MAS said
Green only called the Mayor’s action
line after the dogs were already dead.
Officers also noted in their report that there was very little dog waste in the back yard, indicating that the dogs were consuming it for nourishment. The home did not have outdoor shelter for the animals or food containers. One dog was located deceased outside. Officers said the animal was ” in a extreme state of decomposition with no internal organs and the skull visible.” One animal was found alive inside Green’s home. That animal is now in the city’s care. |

(CBS4) – Fingerprints found on a cup
helped lead detectives to the suspect
in a Denver homicide. The Denver District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday that Jose Sandoval-Romero is under arrest and facing a murder charge in the fatal stabbing of 40-year-old Ariana Wolk earlier this month. Wolk was killed on July 3 in her apartment on the 1500 block of Oneida Street, just off East Colfax Avenue. First responders found her lying in a pool of blood in her bed and said she had been stabbed in the neck. Three days later, Sandoval-Romero was arrested in Colorado Springs. Authorities said they reviewed video from the night of the murder that showed Sandoval-Romero and Wolk together. Sandoval-Romero was holding a cup in the video. That cup was found in Wolk’s yard and fingerprints of Sandoval-Romero’s that were allegedly found on the cup helped detectives pinpoint him as a suspect. A statement from the DA’s office indicates Sandoval-Romero confessed to the crime. Authorities say he told investigators that he ditched his clothes, which got bloody during the crime, and fled to Colorado Springs afterwards. |

But the driver of the vehicle didn’t surrender, choosing instead to fire a weapon at the police SUV pursuing him. Black Lives Matter activist Henry Eugene Washington, 37, was arrested early the next morning after getting stuck between two buildings as he tried to climb down from his hiding place not far from the scene of the crime. Bothell police officer Jonathan Shoop, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene. His partner was transferred to the hospital and is in satisfactory condition. According to The Daily Herald: Shoop tried to stop a westbound Pontiac G6 on Highway 522 around 9:40 p.m. Monday. After a short car chase, the black sedan hit a pedestrian on a scooter in a crosswalk, crashed through the center median and stopped in the 10300 block of Woodinville Drive. The suspect is in custody in King County Jail in Washington. Despite the age of the story, mainstream media has refused to even acknowledge it. 48-hours after the killing of a white police officer, none of the major networks or news outlets have reported it. According to a police incident report obtained Tuesday by AJC.com, Philippe initially got into an argument with someone at a RaceTrac on Piedmont Avenue and hit two cars in the parking lot with his 2019 Range Rover. It was not clear if anyone was injured in the incident. Philippe sped from the gas station and continued north on Piedmont Avenue, police said. According to the report, he blew through a light at Andrew Young International Boulevard and crashed into a 2017 Chevrolet Impala driven by Jonathan Wendell Parker of Amite, Louisiana. Parker and one his passengers, identified in the report as Desiree Deloris James of Marion, Indiana, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other occupants, Tameika Parker and Priscilla Louise Doughty, were stable when they were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, police said. Their current conditions were not provided Tuesday. He was also charged with a probation violation. According to the criminal complaint filed in Scott County District Court on Friday, a search warrant was executed at an apartment in the 2700 block of East 53rd Street. Items belonging to, and identifying of, Dinkins were found in the apartment, according to officers. A woman in the residence who said she was his girlfriend told officers that he had been living there for over a month. Police allege that Dinkins did not notify the Scott County Sheriff’s Office of the change in address, as required by sex offender registry rules. Earlier that day, police say Breasia Terrell, 10, was last seen Friday morning in the 2700 block East 53rd Street in Davenport. The criminal complaint did not explicitly link the search warrant for the apartment where Dinkins was allegedly living in that neighborhood to the Terrell case. |

Europeans were slaves to African
(Arabs) While black Africans were loaded on ships to Europe and the Americas in the 16th and 17th century, Africans also engaged in slave trade that involved the purchase and humiliating torture of white captives. During that time, it was common to have white slaves in the markets of the Barbary Coasts awaiting purchase. About 1.2 million whites were held captive on African shores during this era, a tenth of the number of black Africans sold into slavery, but nonetheless, a significant amount. This was also the scene of the Barbary Wars which witnessed United States’ first foreign land military operation, when Thomas Jefferson declared war on the Berber pirates which led to the end of piracy in that region. People in this region were majorly African Arabs. Other parts of Europe, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Netherlands, Sicily, Malta and as northwards as Iceland were raided by African pirates whose sole purpose was to capture European slaves. The 1500s witnessed continual attacks on these places and several thousands of slaves were captured each time. |

after police say she suffocated the
baby at the day care where she worked.
This happened at the Little People
Child Development Center in Bear.On Monday, Ferguson was indicted on a single count of murder by abuse or neglect, which replaced the original charge of first-degree murder and 42 counts of first-degree child abuse against the victim. Investigators say Ferguson placed her hands over the victim’s mouth and nose and intentionally restricted her breathing until she became unresponsive. She then placed the baby back in her crib. Police say about 20 minutes later, Ferguson alerted the day care owner that the child was unresponsive. The infant was taken to the Christiana Hospital where she was pronounced dead. After the initial incident, Delaware State Police identified four additional child victims, ranging in age from one month to 15 months of age. |

connection with shooting at the
Portland Police Department earlier
this month.On July 5, police say they stopped Abdikareem Hassan, of Portland, on Franklin Street after officers witnessed him hit a curb near the intersection with Cumberland Avenue. The vehicle he was driving was like the vehicle wanted for a shooting that occurred that same night at the Portland Police Department. The vehicle was also reported stolen, according to police. Hassan was initially charged with operating under the influence, operating after habitual offender and unauthorized use of property. While in custody and at the Portland Police Department, police say Hassan became uncooperative and assaulted a Portland police officer and an FBI special agent and damaged a police vehicle. This resulted in him being charged with assault on a police officer, refusal to submit to arrest or detention and criminal mischief. He was also charged with a federal crime for assault on a federal officer. On Sunday, based upon additional evidence, police say they charged Hassan was with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and illegal possession of a firearm by a prohibited person in connection with the shooting at the Portland Police Department. Police say a dark sedan drove by the entrance to the Portland Police Department garage on July 5 and fired several shots. One police vehicle was struck, and bullet pieces were found inside the parking garage. The police officer who was in the garage at the time when shots were fired was not injured, nor was anybody else. |

officer was killed and a second one
was wounded during a Monday night
traffic stop that turned into a gun
battle with the driver, authorities
said. The suspect was later arrested
after an hours-long manhunt. The surviving police officer was rushed for treatment to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was treated then later released Tuesday morning, according to hospital spokesperson Susan Gregg. Neither of the officer's names have been released. The incident began around 9:40 p.m. when Bothell officers tried to pull over a driver heading west on SR 522, according to Aaron Snell with Everett Police, which is among the agencies now investigating the shooting. After a short chase, the fleeing driver struck a man on a scooter and crashed through a center median in the 10300 block of Woodinville Drive, Snell said. At that point, gunfire was exchanged as the driver got out and ran from the car, Snell said. Backup officers arrived at the scene to find one officer had died and a second one was wounded. He was rushed to Harborview along with the scooter rider, Snell said. The rider was listed in satisfactory condition, according to Gregg. A manhunt ensued as several police agencies and police dogs swarmed the area looking for their suspect. Sean Ernest Ruis, 43, walked into a Quality Dairy store roughly 5 miles outside Lansing, Michigan at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday. There, a 77-year-old male customer confronted him about not wearing a mask, Michigan State Police Lt. Brian Oleksyk said. Tuesday was the second day of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s order that masks must be worn inside businesses. The 77-year-old customer was wearing a mask, Ruis was not, Oleksyk said. |

tax and wire fraud involving fake
"donations" to the Chabad of
Poway.Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, 58 – who was shot in the hand during the 2019 attack on the Chabad of Poway – pleaded guilty to a scheme involving the misuse of at least $6.2 million in contributions and donations to the synagogue. Of those hundreds of millions, Goldstein admitted to keeping approximately $620,000 for himself. The bombshell federal complaint was filed Tuesday in San Diego and can be seen (at this link) The complaint said Goldstein allegedly worked with at least 18 or more taxpayers throughout the years to help them in lowering their tax liabilities through fraudulent "donations" to the Chabad. The donations resulted in tax losses to the IRS of at least $1.5 million, the document said. Agents told Goldstein they had been investigating “his tax evasion and other fraudulent activity for quite some time,” the complaint said. The complaint alleges that Goldstein, on behalf of the Chabad, gave donors receipt letters – usually signed by Goldstein on the Chabad's letterhead – documenting a donor’s "generous" contribution and marking it “tax-deductible.” Those fake receipts were then used by “donors” to claim huge tax deductions on their tax returns. Brewer said Goldstein would secretly funnel back 90% of these “donations” to his co-conspirators and keep 10% for himself. Investigators aptly named this scheme the “90/10 Tax Fraud Scheme.” |

He said, “I came out with the hockey stick because they were on her. A couple got off her and then the big one came at me and said, ‘What you gonna do?'” to which Brad responded with, “I am gonna hit you with this stick.” A male seen in a gold sweatshirt charged at Brad after assuming he was “threatening her with a hockey stick.” A few more guys jumped in after seeing the altercation between the two men and beat him. One bystander is seen holding a crow bar, but does not step in. He said, “I got swarmed by the mob,” and expressed his frustration earlier that day when he spoke to looters asking them, “what the f*ck does this have to do with Black Lives Matter?” He said, “There was a moment I realized I couldn’t let them get me to the ground so I reached up to grab someone’s testicles and got a hold of a penis and thought, ok I am going to use it to pull myself up. They all left me when I got up.” In the video a group of guys are depicted rushing Brad and attacking him to the concrete leaving him with injuries, difficulty breathing and a hospital bill amounting to $19,000 after a CAT-scan was included in his exam. On June 6, a GoFundMe page was created by Brad’s friend, Myers, who was on the phone with Brad the afternoon of the attack and heard the brawl transpire from the other end while Brad stayed on the line. But investigators say there is a limit, a line, that even a lenient Georgia law allows for homeowners defending their families. Forty one-year-old Ismael Casillas and 20-year-old Keywontrezes Humphries met early July 4th morning in the bedroom of Casillas’ 14-year-old daughter in their Coweta County home, according to investigators, who say in a rage the dad severely beat and choked Humphries. He even chipped and knocked out some teeth. If it had stopped there, investigators say they might not have charged the dad. But they say Casillas asked his wife for a gun. And they say after the 20-year-old jumped out of a window, the dad met him in the front yard and continued the beating, threatening his life and firing shots through the neighborhood as the young man ran away. Investigators say that is where Casillas crossed the line, because Humphries was no longer a threat to him. Though investigators say they understand Casillas rage, Georgia law draws a line on continuing actions against an intruder once they are no longer a threat and in this case fleeing down the road. Investigators have also charged Humphries with child molestation. They say he was in a (sexual) relationship with the 14-year-old girl and climbed through her bedroom window. Investigators say Humphries is known as "Man Man". Because of his age and the girl’s, they are pursuing a sex crime investigation and more charges are possible. |

The pair are accused of attacking Roberto Flores Lopez inside the bathroom at Superior Grocers on East Avenue J in Lancaster last Wednesday. “It was a big thing off my shoulders that he is off the streets, that he can’t do that to someone else that is elderly,” said Lopez’s son Francisco Ordorico. The Sheriff’s department said Lopez’s family and the family of one of the suspects met on Saturday night. The July 8th attack left Lopez with a broken jaw, a broken nose, and several fractures that got him sent to the intensive care unit. |

police have made an arrest in the
murder of a 71-year-old woman in the
Town of Tonawanda.71-year-old Diane Wolfe was killed in her Yorkshire Road home on May 4. Wolfe's car was stolen the same day she died. The Erie County District Attorney's Office announced on Friday afternoon that an arrested had been made in the case. Joshua Wilson was apprehended while trying to cross the border into Canada. District Attorney Flynn said Wilson was allegedly in a stolen vehicle. The Canadian border is still closed to non-essential travel due to COVID-19. “Yet he was dumb enough to try to cross into Canada when Canada is still shut down, additionally in a stolen vehicle,” Flynn explains. Flynn says Wilson initially met Diane Wolfe when he arrived at her door and attempted to sell her a $25 gift card to a restaurant chain. Wolfe gave Wilson a $10 tip, paying Wilson $35 for the card. "And what does she get for it? She got murdered a few days later,” declared Flynn. According to DA Flynn, Wilson is accused of later retuning to Wolfe's home around 11 p.m. on May 4, killing her and stealing her car and credit cards. Flynn says Wilson died of blunt force trauma to the head. The murder weapon appears to be a garden tool from Wolfe's own garage. Tonawanda police began investigating the morning of May 5. By May 7, they were able to obtain evidence that indicated Wolfe's credit card was used in the Utica area and notified Utica police. The Utica Police Department located Wolfe's vehicle based on the information and arrested two occupants, neither of whom were Joshua Wilson. Information obtained during that investigation helped Tonawanda police identify Wilson as a suspect. “And I am very happy for Mrs. Diane Wolfe and her family today," remarked James Stauffiger, Chief of Police, Town of Tonawanda. U.S. Marshals assisted in searching for Wilson. On Thursday night, Wilson was apprehended at the border. Buffalo Wild Wings stalked and was
planning to kill a Trevorton woman who
died from injuries that night. A
Sunbury man has also been identified
as the one who shot the suspect,
putting him in serious condition. Court documents say 55-year-old Christopher Fernanders of Paxinos wrote a letter detailing his plan to kill 46-year-old Heather Campbell before the fatal shooting in the restaurant parking lot. The letter was found in Fernanders’ vehicle after a search warrant was executed. Included in Fernanders’ plotted killing was also an Amcrest GPS tracker that was found underneath Campbell’s vehicle parked at the restaurant. He now faces murder charges for the killing of Campbell and 52-year-old Matthew Bowersox of Mifflinburg. Court documents say prior to the shooting, Campbell had obtained a protection from abuse order July 1, which was days before Fernanders then allegedly threatened to kill her. Fernanders was also due in district court this week after being charged from that incident. Court papers say Campbell and Bowersox were on a date at Buffalo Wild Wings when witnesses saw them embrance underneath an umbrella in the parking lot; this before Fernders drove into the lot and began shooting at the victims. Then as Fernanders was returning to his truck, papers say 49-year-old Troy Sprenkle of Sunbury came out of the restaurant and fired three or four shots at the suspect. Snyder County DA Mike Piecuch tells us Fernanders cannot be arraigned for the murder charges because he’s in serious condition from his gunshot wounds. The argument escalated and Randle shot both people, according to the affidavit. One of the victims, a man in his 50s, died at the scene. His identity has not been released. The woman who was shot ran to a convenience store to call 911 and was taken to a hospital, the affidavit states. Police found Randle using a description the woman and another witness provided. The affidavit says he admitted to the shooting during a police interview. now seeking answers in the death of
her 62-year-old mother. Ann Smith Evans was found the morning of Feb. 9. in her Killeen home by police. Evans was found with a pillow on her face and puncture to her neck, an affidavit filed in the case said. An investigation into the murder led officials to 25-year-old Luke Matthew Cuellar, the boyfriend of Evan's granddaughter, according to the affidavit. Cuellar was arrested and charged with tampering and fabricating evidence in March. Another complaint in April from the Bell County District Attorney's Office charged him with the murder of Evans. Cuellar's bond was set at $1,000,000 and he is currently in the Bell County Jail. |

East Lampeter Township Police charged Justo Smoker, 34, of the 3200 block of Lincoln Highway East in Paradise, with felony kidnapping and misdemeanor false imprisonment. Investigators found clothing believed to belong to Stoltzfoos buried in the wooded area. Smoker became a person of interest after police received information about a red or orange vehicle seen in the Gap area on the afternoon of the abduction, the DA’s office stated. Witnesses reported seeing an Amish female in the passenger seat of a vehicle driven by a male; descriptions of the driver and vehicle are consistent with Smoker and his vehicle. She disappeared on Sunday, June 21, after a church service. |

video has emerged of a bizarre
stabbing on a Queens subway in which
two men were attacked by a
knife-wielding stranger, police said. The partially caught on video brawl began on the 7 train when the suspect, Patrick Chambers, 46, shouted at two elderly men sitting across from him, “Why aren’t you home with your kids?” police said. Chambers then pulled a blade, allegedly slashing and stabbing the men, who are both in their 70s. The mayhem erupted about 7:25 a.m. on July 5 as the train rolled through Sunnyside. Footage shows the bloody tussle after it began, with the victims on the floor of the train. A woman can be heard shrieking in the background along with a man yelling, “Get off the train!” The apparent stabber, clad in a black baseball cap, gray tank top and slacks, appears to kick at the men on the floor before walking away to the other end of the subway car — only to return to one of the men, jabbing him at least once with the knife, the clip shows. Eventually the attacker leaves the train car and a conductor walks through. One of the victims then holds up his bloodied arm for the camera. Both attacker and victims wore face masks to protect against COVID-19. The victims were removed to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition. The attack comes amid a wave of increasing violence, mostly shootings, across the city. He eluded police until this week when he was taken into custody Tuesday in Mansfield, Ohio, plotting his next move in a wooded area. He is being extradited from Ohio, according to the Allen County prosecutor's office. After the public shooting of Hoglund about 5:15 p.m. June 24, Weaver roared out of the driveway in a 2013 black Jeep Patriot. About 45 minutes earlier, witnesses said, Hoglund was at the wheel as she and Weaver left together, according to court documents. At the scene, residents reported the two arrived at the Clarmarnic Drive home arguing, then they both got out of the car. Weaver shot her once and then stood over her and shot three to four more times, they said. Police found two live rounds stamped F.C. 9 mm Luger near her body and two spent shell casings with the same stamp, court documents said. Five minutes after Weaver left the scene, he was involved in a hit-and-run crash at North Anthony Boulevard and Crescent Avenue. when a homeowner fired on them early
Friday, according to the Pasco County
Sheriff’s Office.The homeowner said he was inside his home playing video games when at about 12:43 a.m. he heard the glass of his laundry room door shatter, according to a sheriff’s report. He saw an arm reach inside to unlock the door. Then the homeowner said he saw a masked man walk in and aim a gun at him. The homeowner said he grabbed his Glock 9mm pistol, which was just a few feet away, and fired several times at the intruder. He saw the intruder fall down, the report said. Then a second masked intruder entered the house, and the homeowner said he fired at him, too. That intruder also collapsed. The masked men were aiming their weapons at the homeowner when they were shot, said Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco. The homeowner said he then saw a third intruder enter, the report said. The homeowner started firing again, but said his Glock jammed. Then he said he grabbed a Kriss Vector 10mm semi-automatic rifle, but didn’t fire it. The third intruder had run away. The homeowner said he called his neighbor for help and told him he had just shot two intruders. While the homeowner was on the phone with 911, he said, he heard his neighbor yelling outside: The neighbor had detained the third intruder, who was wounded, at gunpoint in the front yard. The homeowner went outside to help. “The victim advised he shot all three intruders because they were armed and forced entry into his home and he believed they were going to kill him,” said an arrest report. When deputies arrived, the two intruders were pronounced dead at the scene. The third was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. He was identified as Jeremiah Tramel, 19, and was still in a hospital on Friday, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. The two intruders who were killed were Luis Casado and Khyle Durham, both 21. When he heard gunfire, Tramel said he went into the home and ended up getting shot, the report said. Nocco said investigators asked the homeowner why he may have been targeted. He told them he posted a lot of photos of his guns on social media and that may have been the reason why. Nocco said he appears to know the intruders, but did not elaborate. “This is not a total random situation,” he said. The sheriff said the intruders who died have histories of violent crime. |

and killed Saturday when they walked
up to the door of a home where
assaults had reportedly taken place,
the police chief said. Edelmiro Garza, Jr. 45, an eight-year veteran of the McAllen Police Department, and Ismael Chavez, 39, a two-year veteran, were killed before the gunman fatally shot himself, said Chief Victor Rodriguez. "They go to the door of the residence," Rodriguez said in a news conference. "A person who was a suspect of the incident met our officers at the door and shot both officers as they stood there." Neither Garza nor Chavez had time to radio for help or pull out their guns, he said. "Our officers did not draw their weapons, did not fire, never stood a chance," Rodriguez said. Other officers who arrived confronted the gunman near the house and ordered him to put his weapon down. "At that point in time, he raises the gun and shoots himself," Rodriguez said. two suspects involved in the beating
of an elderly man at a grocery store
in Lancaster on Wednesday. Roberto
Flores Lopez, 82,
was using the bathroom at Superior
Grocers on East Avenue J when a man
attacked him there, according to his
family. He
suffered a broken jaw, a broken
nose, and several fractures.“He’s in pretty bad shape,” Francisco Orzorico, Lopez’s son, said in a press conference on Thursday. Community members said the violent attack will not be tolerated in their neighborhood. “That is not the way people are to be treated in our area,” said Lancaster resident Henry Hearns. On Thursday, investigators released photos of the alleged suspects in the incident. The first is a black male, around 20 to 25 years old. He is approximately 5’8″ and 250 lbs. The second suspect is a black female adult, last seen wearing a multicolored short/romper and a black face mask with red lips. The man allegedly attacked Flores and robbed him. The female is believed to have accompanied the man into the store. Both were last seen running from the store. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Esswein with the L.A.
