Ga. -- The GBI says two people are in custody for the fatal
shooting at a Butts County Waffle House last Friday.Robert Lewis Henderson, Jr., 36, and Antonio DeMarty Evans, 39, turned themselves in to the Butts County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Henderson is charged with one count of Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault. Evans is charged with Tampering with Evidence. Nicholas Bryan, 27, was killed during the incident. The GBI says an investigation determined that Bryan "was using racial slurs" toward Henderson Jr. and Evans. Waffle House staff told Bryan to leave. Then their argument became physical. Police said they have a person in custody on unrelated charges who is considered a person of interest. Larry Bell, 36, of Rockledge, was arrested on grand theft charges stemming from a New Mexico warrant, police said. pedestrian on his bike earlier this year.Dameon Doward, 41, was charged in Manhattan Criminal Court Thursday for second-degree reckless endangerment for allegedly running into Donna Sturm, 67, in Midtown in April, cops said. Police say the Brooklyn woman was crossing the street at the crosswalk outside 37 West 57th Street at around 1:38 p.m. on April 24 when Doward — who was on a delivery run for Postmates, according to his lawyer — ran into her. First responders rushed her to Cornell Hospital, where she died on 10 days later on May 4. Doward, who ran a red light before striking Sturm, remained at the scene. He told cops his gears malfunctioned and his brakes failed. He was initially issued a summons and released. “I just use my feet to stop. I saw that the light was red and tried to stop but I collided with her,” Doward told NYPD immediately the crash, according to the police report. But police were unable to locate him in the months after the collision — until Wednesday, when cops caught him hopping a subway turnstile, Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Erin LaFarge said in court Thursday. LaFarge said police were unable to locate Doward for months because he had relocated from a homeless shelter in Sunnyside, Queens to one in Brooklyn. (WPVI) -- U.S. Marshals have made an arrest in connection with the
hit-and-run death of a man and his dog in North Philadelphia.Khalif Moore was taken into custody around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on the unit block of West Duval Street in Germantown. U.S. Marshals found Moore hiding in the basement and he was apprehended after a brief struggle. According to authorities, Moore was behind the wheel of the Pontiac Montana minivan that struck 26-year-old Michael Canals and his dog Rosie as they walked along the 700 block of West Berks Street around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26. Late Wednesday night, Moore was being interviewed by homicide detectives. Charges are pending. Moore has previously served prison time for drugs and weapon offenses. "We're going to bury Rosie with Mike," said his mother Jackie Canals. |

escort. A neighbor alerted police something was wrong
on the 8400 block of Algon Avenue after hearing screams or yelling
around 3 a.m.When authorities arrived, they found 59-year-old Al Chernoff had a large wound on his head, gashes on his chest, and was naked and partially tied to his bed. “He cared more about his animals than himself. He would have starved before his animals would have ever had to go without food,” Blake Martin from the Animal Care & Control Team said. “It’s a big hole in the cat rescue community.” Detectives say Chernoff was found dead inside the bedroom of his Rhawnhurst duplex. They say he had a large wound on his head, gashes on his chest, and was naked and partially tied to his bed. Investigators want to speak with "a woman" who was seen leaving the home around 3 a.m. Tuesday. Police sources say "she" is the likely suspect in the killing. police say he was caught molesting a 10-year-old child at a
Tallahassee home.According to court documents, Tallahassee police responded to a home on Carver Street after receiving reports of an assault on Tuesday. The call notes stated a 10-year-old child had been molested. When officers arrived at the home, they spoke to the victim's father who informed them that the suspect was at the Leon County Sheriff's Office turning himself in. Police say the victim's father told them that the assault happened on Saturday.The victim's father told police that 57-year-old Hallow Addison was the one who molested the child, according to documents. After speaking with the father, police spoke with another family member who actually witnessed the sexual assault. The witness told police that when she walked into the living she saw Addison molesting the victim. Court documents say the witness yelled at Addison and he jumped up and said "I'm wrong, don't fault her." |

Attorney.Arthur Jackson III is behind bars after he was sentenced in 2008 to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing three girls who were 4, 8 and 13 years old, according to the district attorney's office. Jackson was charged with indecency with a child in 2006 when he took his friend's 8-year-old daughter home and molested her, officials said. Later, while on probation, Jackson was arrested for molesting a 4-year-old girl. It was during that time where a third girl, 13, came forward and accused Jackson of having molested her for six years. Jackson plead guilty to all the allegations and was sentenced to 15 years. |

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has released home surveillance
video footage and 911 audio from an officer-involved shooting
incident last month, when three deputies shot a man dead moments
after he had gunned down his girlfriend outside a Carmichael
apartment.The incident began about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 27, after a car had crashed into a tree near the 5800 block of Angelina Avenue, the Sheriff’s Office said in news releases that day and on Wednesday. Multiple 911 callers had reported that a man and woman were involved in a “verbal altercation” at the scene of the crash, and that the man was waving a gun in the air, according to the news releases. Deputies arrived at the scene about 10 minutes later, and when they attempted to initiate contact, the man shot the woman. Three deputies then immediately opened fire on the male suspect, video shows. Both the man, who has since been identified by the coroner’s office as Earnest Easterling, 25, and the woman, Chanell Brown, 23, were pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel. |

A woman who came to the scene following the shooting told Telemundo 20 her daughter, 30-year-old Maribel Ibañez, was the one who was killed. A family friend identified the two injured victims as Mario Rojas, who is around 50 years old, and Humberto Ruiz, who is around 40 years old. kidnapping charge in connection to the disappearance of a college
student two weeks ago.Auburn police said friends last heard from Aniah Haley Blanchard, 19, on Oct. 23. Authorities said they subsequently found her car and “determined that she was harmed and is considered to be a victim of foul play.” Police said a person of interest sought in connection to Blanchard’s disappearance was identified Thursday as Ibraheem Yazeed, 30, of Montgomery, Alabama. Blanchard was last seen at a convenience store in Auburn on Oct. 23. Authorities released surveillance images Wednesday of a man who was seen in the store around the same time who was subsequently identified as Yazeed,, police said. He is wanted on a warrant for first-degree kidnapping connected to Blanchard, officials said. “Further investigation and analysis of the evidence has determined that Yazeed,was at the same location Blanchard was last seen and is involved in taking Aniah against her will,” police said in a statement. CITY (KFOR) – Authorities have charged a suspect with first-degree
murder after a 70-year-old Oklahoma City homeowner died from gunshot
wound complications following a violent home invasion in August.According to a police report, John Heimer was asleep in his bedroom in the dark when he woke up to a man in a dark hoodie and a ski mask pointing a gun at him. When the suspect demanded the combination to Heimer’s safe, he grabbed the suspect by the throat and grabbed his phone. That’s when the suspect allegedly grabbed Heimer’s phone and shot him in his left knee. Heimer then grabbed a machete and tried to chase the suspect out of his home, according to police. Heimer was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released but as time went by, Heimer developed an infection and died October 26. After an investigation by police, Tyron A. Davis, 26, has now been charged with murder in the first degree. According to the affidavit, Davis knew Heimer and had been to the home in the past. Heimer’s roommate reported seeing the suspect and described the gun used as a silver revolver with a pearl handle. During the investigation, officers observed a photo of Davis holding the same type of gun that was used in the invasion described by Heimer’s roommate. - (Black-on-white) |

That is bad,” U.S. Attorney McGregor Scott said at a press conference. When El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Ishmael and another deputy from San Joaquin County who was participating in a ride-along that night arrived at the scene, they immediately came under fire and Vasquez, an illegal immigrant allegedly shot and killed Ishmael. The San Joaquin deputy was also injured in the incident. Matthias Ajple, 43, was arrested and charged with battery for the Oct. 25 attack at Hurricane Grill & Wings in Vero Beach, according to WPEC.  MINNEAPOLIS
(WCCO) — Officials in Cottage Grove say a man is dead after a
series of crimes that include sexual assault, stealing vehicles and
invading a home Monday morning.According to Maplewood police, the incident started around 8 a.m. when a man with a gun confronted a woman who was walking into her workplace in Maplewood. Police say he forced the victim into her car and told her to drive 6 miles to her home in St. Paul. That’s where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. Police say he then stole her vehicle and drove to Cottage Grove’s Hidden Valley neighborhood. At around 8:30 a.m., the suspect used a handgun to steal a second vehicle from a residence. At around 9 a.m. the suspect entered a residence in the same neighborhood, with four family members inside, Cottage Grove Director of Public Safety Pete Koerner said. WCCO spoke with a woman who says it was her family that was in that house. She wasn’t at home at the time. “A gunman came into our house, barged right in, and went into our living room where my mom was, pointed a gun at her face and said, ‘Do you have any guns in the house?’ What’s going on?” Ally Patterson explained. “They were screaming that there were no guns and nothing is here. He said he didn’t want to harm anybody, he wanted to kill himself and just needed space to think.” Patterson says the suspect pointed his gun at her parents’ heads multiple times before moving into their garage. That’s when her family made their escape to the neighbor’s house. “He eventually came out in my dad’s truck from the garage and crashed the truck into a tree in my neighbor’s yard,” Patterson said. Officials say the suspect, armed, then fled on foot before he eventually encountered police from several agencies. gender 'FEMALE' - race: African AmericanPITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The family of a man who is now paralyzed following a fight with several women outside a McDonald’s downtown is not sure if he will ever walk again. Pittsburgh Police say they received calls about a man in the street who had been punched unconscious and a female who had been pepper-sprayed outside the McDonald’s on Wood Street around 10:15 p.m. Monday night. Police say surveillance video shows an argument staring with an unknown male and the man and woman inside the McDonald’s. The argument spilled outside, and that is when the man was knocked unconscious. The man, 62-year-old Marc Conn, is fighting to walk again at Allegheny General Hospital after undergoing a five-hour surgery on his spine. His family said he could not speak because his vocal cords were crushed, along with one side of his face. All I saw in the video is him fall face first and he looked like he was dead,” said family member Jen Belajac. “He wasn’t moving.” Belajac said Conn, of the South Hills, was with his longtime girlfriend Billie Jo Goldsworthy and their dog when the assault happened. They were headed to the Greyhound bus station when they were attacked, Belajac said. “Couple kids started throwing pop bottles,” Beljac said. “They threw them on his girlfriend’s head, so they went into the McDonald’s to get away.” Once inside the McDonald’s on Wood Street, Belajac says things got worse. According to a criminal complaint, a male followed them in and began arguing with Goldsworthy. When Conn tried to pull his girlfriend away, police say two McDonald’s employees intervened — Roneese Davis and Kaniya Martin — and could be seen pushing and punching the woman. Police say Conn punched back and the couple was then pushed by employees from the restaurant. Police said Conn’s girlfriend continued to argue with employees and customers outside before she was pepper-sprayed, dragged to the ground by her hair and punched repeatedly. years behind bars.Tarvis Weatherly, 42, was convicted in August of aggravated sexual battery, according to court records, and was sentenced today. The trial testimony said the incident occurred on June 2, 2016, when the young girl was dropped off at a cousin's home in the 2400 block of Brooklyn Ave. Early in the morning, while others were asleep, Weatherly began rubbing the child's private areas in a bedroom, it said. Weatherly, the boyfriend of the homeowner, was convicted in 1997 on nine counts of aggravated robbery and one count of theft of property over $1,000, a release said. He also is a registered sex offender for convictions of aggravated rape and aggravated sexual battery of an adult victim. |

stabbing Monday night at a Prince George’s County Popeyes restaurant

— A 31-year-old man will spend the next decade and a half behind
bars for killing a beloved Beachwood math teacher in a drunk driving
crash earlier this year.According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, Sanford Doss pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault and driving under the influence. He was handed down a sentence of 16 to 19-and-a-half years in prison. On March 30, Beachwood teacher Arthur Gugick, 59, and Barbara Becker hailed an Uber after attending the Cleveland International Film Festival. Authorities said that Doss ran a red light and crashed into the Uber near South Woodland and Warrensville Center roads. Gugick and Becker were transported to a nearby hospital and later died. The Uber's driver was treated for serious injuries that included a broken arm. Doss was arrested at the scene of the crash. Investigators later determined that his blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit. He was also driving 86 mph seconds before the crash and hit the Uber while going 57 mph. Authorities found three bottles of liquor in his car. |

ride-share driver arrested in October has been linked to four sexual
assault cases in Dallas, according to a warrant.Talyle Meaderds, 28, was already booked in the Dallas County jail when a detective linked him to an Aug. 1 assault after discovering three similar cases were under investigation. According to the warrant, the victim in the Aug. 1 case told police she met Meaderds several days before the assault. She said he identified himself as "Tay" and told her he was a Lyft driver and gave her his number. During the early morning hours on Aug. 1, she used a text messaging app to contact Meaderds and asked him to pick her up in Red Bird, the warrant says. Once she was inside his SUV, Meaderds asked the woman to pull up her sweater and then pulled out a gun when she refused, she told investigators. The victim said she continued to refuse but he racked the gun, put a bullet in the chamber and pointed the weapon at her head. He then drove his SUV to South Cockrell Hill Road, where he parked the vehicle and forced the victim to perform sexual acts. |

Del. (CBS) — A man is facing drug charges after a child accidentally
ingested heroin in Delaware. State Police say they were called to a
residence for an 11-year-old cardiac
arrest victim on Monday, upon arrival troopers found several small
bags containing heroin in the child’s pocket. According to police,
the heroin came from an Altoid container the child’s friend picked
up in their father’s car. Investigators say that friend did not know
what it was and gave it to the victim. Police have charged the
father, 31-year-old Gilbert Dickerson, after finding dozens
of bags of heroin in his home. |

North Carolina man was charged with impersonating a police officer
after he allegedly joined the real deal in chasing down – and
seemingly arresting – a murder suspect last month.David Adams, 30, was taken into custody Wednesday in connection with an incident that unfolded around 11 p.m. on Oct. 5, when officers stopped five people in a car outside a grocery store in Wilson. Police reportedly believed one of the vehicle's occupants was a murder suspect. When officers approached the vehicle, however, the car took off, WITN reported. Cops chased the vehicle for a couple of miles before a man, later identified as Adams, driving a black Ford Taurus with blue lights sped past them and intervened — reportedly cornering the suspect's vehicle between his car and the pursuing officers. Adams allegedly ordered the driver out of the vehicle at gunpoint and handcuffed him. Wilson Police Department officers weren't sure who Adams was or if he was a law enforcement officer, so they ordered him to stop searching the suspect. The 30-year-old eventually left the scene, but on Wednesday was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer, online arrest records indicate. The five people inside the vehicle that Adams helped stop were also reportedly arrested – by actual police officers – on various charges. |

But after the 28-year-old met the woman in her 30s, he pulled out a knife and threatened her, leading her to fear for her life. He went on to attack her over two-and-a-half hours, London’s Metropolitan Police said. A total of 27 "principally Asian" men have now been convicted following West Yorkshire Police's Operation Tendersea investigation, with prison sentences totalling more than 300 years. On Friday, Judge Geoffrey Marson QC told the five men convicted last week: "The way these girls were treated defies understanding. "This abuse was vile and wicked. None of you has expressed any remorse for what you did." The offences date back to between 2005 and 2008 when the girls were aged 12 to 16. Jailing one 32-year-old defendant, for 14 years, Judge Marson said: "You took the virginity of a particularly vulnerable 12-year-old and left her bleeding on the floor in the park." He said this defendant also subjected another teenage girl to a "campaign of rape", abusing her on a regular basis in a Huddersfield park, using sleeping pills to subdue her. The five men were convicted after the end of the fifth trial relating to Operation Tendersea. They were jailed for a total of 45 years, bringing the combined jail sentences after the five trials to 312 years. Judge Marson told Leeds Crown Court that Operation Tendersea involved "a large number of men, principally Asian men", who have been charged in relation to "the grooming and sexual abuse of a large number of children". "There were repeated calls from Asian men saying 'can you tell her we want to f*** her'. Umar Zaman, 31, and Samuel Fikru, 32, of Huddersfield, were each jailed for eight years on Friday after they were convicted of two counts of rape. In July, police say a 15-year-old girl met Mohamud through Facebook messenger. “(She) disclosed that she thought (Mohamud) was 18 years old because he had a driver’s license and worked at a hospital as a cook,” according to charging documents. “He represented that he went to her school and now lived in Salt Lake City.” From April through June, Mohamud picked the girl up in his car several times and they had sex in the car in South Ogden and Midvale, the charges state. Ind. — Two people have been arrested and charged with felony murder
in relation to the killing of an 18-year-old who was reportedly
stabbed to death early Friday morning, according to the Indianapolis
Metropolitan Police Department.Police said 18-year-old Nathan Henry was stabbed at Buckridge Apartments off Southport Road. Two people dropped him off at the hospital just after 2 a.m., but he did not survive. Those two people have been identified as 17-year-old Daniel Crockett and 18-year-old Antonio Carter. responsible for multiple sexual assaults in Northeast Philadelphia.Drean Tabb, 20, was taken into custody Friday by the Special Victims Unit of the Philadelphia Police Department. Police said an 18-year-old woman exited a SEPTA bus at the corner of Levick Street and Bustleton Avenue and began to walk down Levick Street when he started following her and approached her from behind. According to investigators, he led her to a rear driveway on the 1200 block Elbridge Street where he raped her, stole her phone and then ran away. The second incident took place around 10:30 p.m. on October 21 near the same intersection at Levick Street and Bustleton Avenue. According to police, a 16-year-old girl had just exited a SEPTA bus when Tabb approached her from behind and pulled her jacket up over her face. Investigators said Tabb then pulled the teen into an alleyway while telling her not to make any noise and then raped her. Officials said he then took the girl's phone and ran off in an unknown direction. |

The woman screamed and Frank sprayed her in the face with pepper spray. He then pulled out a switchblade and slashed her hand while she was defending herself — then tried to rip her eye out of its socket with his finger, according to her victim impact statement. But during the attack, the brave woman was able to turn the blade back on Frank and he was stabbed twice. “I remember him — his stench, his cruelty, his voice. I can’t even escape into the things I loved doing,” she wrote. |

When asked if he used any weapon, she said the girl told he that he didn’t choke her this time, but he did in the past. Hill is being tried again on this charge of the rape of a child. The 32-year-old Wheeling man originally entered an Alford plea and was sentenced to life in prison, but then appealed his plea and was granted a new trial. He’s accused of raping an intoxicated 15-year-old girl at a house party. He was 19 at the time. In addition, shortly before Ross was first scheduled to go to trial in November 2018, the prosecution moved to amend his charges to include the alternative charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child older than 14 but younger than 16.
