(Worthless black cowardly killer) killed during robbery of jewelry store was 'suspect' in murders (of elderly White couple) APPLE VALLEY — A man authorities said was a person of interest in the murders of an elderly Apple Valley couple was identified Thursday as the robber killed in an attempted jewelry store heist in Torrance. Keon Bailey, 20, of Lancaster, was identified as the man fatally shot by the owner of Leilani Jewelers in Torrance during an attempted robbery Tuesday. San Bernardino County authorities say Bailey was found to be in possession of property stolen from 95-year-old Louis Giuntini, and his wife, 92-year-old Rose Giuntini, who were found dead in their Apple Valley home on March 1. Detectives say evidence from the Giuntini home was also linked to two more robberies in the Apple Valley area. After reviewing surveillance video recovered from one of those robberies, a doughnut shop, detectives identified Bailey as the suspect in all three Apple Valley crimes. Bailey was released from the California Institution for Men in Chino on Feb. 18. He had been incarcerated since May 2014 for first-degree burglary and receiving stolen property, and was placed on three years of parole upon his release. His rap sheet also included rape, grand theft, trespassing and sexual battery, San Bernardino County sheriff’s officials said. - (Black-on-white) |

Escaped murder suspect shot, killed during alleged break-in VICKSBURG, Miss. --An accused murderer who escaped from a Mississippi jail more than a week ago was shot and killed this morning by a person he held hostage during a nearly three-hour-long confrontation, police say. "That is correct. He has met his maker," Vicksburg Police Chief Walter Armstrong said. The eight-day hunt for Rafael McCloud ended around 7 a.m. when police were called to a home about a half mile from the jail McCloud escaped from on March 2. McCloud entered the house through an unlocked garage door at about 4 a.m. During the next three hours, a husband and wife who were inside with their baby experienced what Armstrong described as "torture." The husband told police he confronted McCloud soon after the escaped inmate entered the home. Armstrong said it was apparent to police that the couple engaged McCloud in an intense fight, moving throughout the house. Ultimately, the husband was stabbed in the shoulder, and McCloud managed to subdue both victims, tying them up, Armstrong said. Then, before 7 a.m., the couple managed to get loose. One of them grabbed a gun and shot McCloud. By the time police arrived, he had already died, Armstrong said. - (Black-on-white) |

Ambushed Officers Takes Stand as (black Muslim terrorist) Suspect Edward Archer Faces Attempted Murder Charges A police officer ambushed by a silent gunman who later said he acted in the name of Islam testified in court Thursday about the attack, detailing how he kicked his way out of the cruiser to return fire. Philadelphia prosecutors have found no evidence that suspect Edward Archer has any links to terrorism, though federal authorities continue to explore that issue. Archer's lawyer said he may instead have mental health problems. Archer, 30, was held for trial on attempted murder and other charges after Thursday's preliminary hearing. He used a stolen police weapon in the attack and emptied the chamber, authorities said. Officer Jesse Hartnett testified about how his left arm was shattered by gunfire as he used it to cover his head in the vehicle. He said he later kicked the door open to pursue Archer, shooting him three times, before he went to the trunk of his cruiser to look for a tourniquet. Help soon arrived, and two other officers apprehended Archer a block away. They found the gun wrapped in the long white cloak he had been wearing. - (Black-on-white) |

Tampa murder case — ‘worse’ than any — may guide all juvenile sentencings - (black girlfriend murdered boyfriend's white ex) TALLAHASSEE – A Tampa murder case now before the Florida Supreme Court could be the key to whether teens sentenced to life in prison for lesser crimes than first degree murder deserve the same shot at a resentencing hearing as those who are convicted of the crime. The state’s high court heard arguments Tuesday in the case of Laisha Landrum, who was convicted of second degree murder in 2006 for killing her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend, Emily Clemons, with kitchen pots and pans and a claw hammer, then leaving her buried under a pile of garbage in a dumpster. Given the choice between 27 years and life, the circuit judge declared she be confined in prison for the remainder of her life. Six years later, the U.S. Supreme Court has banned mandatory life sentences for juveniles unless they first get a hearing that weighs youth, life circumstances and whether they are beyond hope of rehabilitation. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Man who murdered (White female) Vidor teen seeks to overturn conviction again For the second time in a year, a Beaumont man sentenced to 75 years in prison for the 2014 death of a Vidor teenager is trying to overturn his murder conviction, basing his appeal on the trial court's decision not to include a lesser charge for the jury to consider. An Orange County jury in August 2014 found Kelvin Lee Roy, 34, guilty of intentionally causing the Feb. 7, 2014, collision that killed 16-year-old Alexandria "Lexy" Bertrand. Roy appealed his murder conviction in April of last year, citing insufficient evidence and the court's decision not to include the lesser charge of intoxication manslaughter, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. The Ninth Court of Appeals upheld Roy's murder conviction in August, issuing a judgment that said evidence presented at trial proved "Roy's intent to cause serious bodily injury (to his girlfriend) and intent to commit an act clearly dangerous to human life, thereby causing Alexandria's death." Roy's former girlfriend, Taralynn Brown, told jurors that Roy intentionally crashed his white Mercury Sable into the back of a stopped Honda minivan carrying Bertrand in an attempt to kill himself and her. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black ex-con) Suspect charged with capital murder of (young White man) in Bellaire pizzeria robbery HOUSTON - We have new details about the man arrested for gunning down a teenager at a Bellaire pizzeria. Kiara Elijahjuan Taylor, 26, was arrested Tuesday and charged with capital murder. Taylor is accused of killing 19-year-old Peter Mielke. "There was relief there, it was a little bit of a burden lifted off my shoulders," said Dana Mielke, Peter's mother who spoke to us on the phone from Florida. It's the news this mother was waiting to hear. "I did not want this man to be free who let my son die on the floor of a pizza place," Dana Mielke said. Police say Mielke was shot multiple times by a robber, who barged into the Reginelli's Pizzera around 9:30 p.m. on February 21. Turns out, it was Taylor's sister who told KHOU she turned him in after recognizing her brother in surveillance video. "It was the right thing to do... It was the right thing to do," said Tarrell Taylor, Kiara's older sister. She says she bought him the gun from a pawn shop. "He just said he wanted a gun," she said. "That wasn't my intention... for him to buy it just to protect him." However, three days after walking out of prison, investigators say Taylor turned a gun on Mielke, an innocent teen who wasn't able to open his cash register. It was Taylor's second time in prison. He'd been behind bars since 2011 for burglary and having a gun, even though he had a record. Back in 2009, he served time for auto theft. A trail of poor decisions that for this mom will never make sense. "Knowing that you are grown and you killed my son, who was 19 and you made that decision as a grown person," Dana Mielke said. "We're two grown people, you deal with your consequences and I'm going to enjoy my justice." - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Suspect headed to trial for accessory to murder (of White man); evidence, alibi conflict OMAHA, Neb. - A man will stand trial for being an accessory in the murder of Charles Keathley. Chris Myers appeared in a Douglas County courtroom on Monday and new evidence was heard during a preliminary hearing. Cell phone data puts Myers within a few hundred feet of Keathley's house in Dundee, the site of the murder on May 27, 2015. Keathley was found in his home on May 30th with multiple stab wounds. The crime scene was heavily compromised as someone bleached the majority of the house. Sha'ron Ellis, Keathley's accused murderer, made a partial confession to the crime as well as burning Keathley's car in Freedom Park on the 27th. Phone records show several conversations between Ellis and Myers on the 27th. Ellis told detectives he called Myers and asked him if bleach gets rid of blood. Over the course of three interviews Myers denied all involvement with the crime and denied ever being at Keathley's residence. - (Black-on-white) |

(White "social justice" social worker) Victim of vicious Durham parking lot attack speaks DURHAM -- Ralph Gildehaus has a gash on his head, his lip is cut, and there's a bandage wrapped around his ear. The 55-year-old Durham man is nursing his injuries after being viciously attacked and robbed inside the Corcoran Street Parking Deck in downtown Durham. "It was scary," he said. "I'm angry about this. This was a really bad experience." The attack happened Wednesday around 9:30 a.m. Gildehaus parked his car on the fourth level. He was struck seconds after walking into a stairwell. The last thing Gildehaus remembers is seeing two men in the stairwell. A 15-year-old suspect is now facing charges. Police say the minor stole a wallet. The teen suspect has not been identified. While Gildehaus is angry, he also calls the attack ironic. He works for a non-profit organization, located right next to the garage, that advocates for social justice. |

The finding was contained in an order entered last month into Stevenson’s court file in Virginia Beach Circuit Court. Biological evidence collected from the woman after the rape was sent to two labs in the past year to be analyzed using new DNA techniques. DNA analysis was not available at the time the rape occurred. |

(Black grandson-in-law) charged with capital murder in death of 75-year-old (looks White, female) H-E-B employee in San Antonio SAN ANTONIO — A man who had already been arrested for allegedly using the credit cards of an elderly woman found dead in her home last year was re-arrested and charged with capital murder on Tuesday. R.C. Curtis is suspected of robbing and killing Paula Boyd, 75, on Oct. 21, 2015. He was arrested without incident by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Credit cards belonging to Boyd led them to arrest Curtis, believed to be her grandson-in-law, on credit or debit card abuse charges on Nov. 6. The Bexar County Medical Examiner ruled shortly after Boyd’s death that she died as a result of blunt force trauma and strangulation. After Curtis’ initial arrest, Greene said investigators collected DNA evidence that connected him to the scene of the slaying. - (Black-on-white) |
