(Black) Suspect headed to trial for accessory to murder (of White man); evidence, alibi conflict OMAHA, Neb. - A man will stand trial for being an accessory in the murder of Charles Keathley. Chris Myers appeared in a Douglas County courtroom on Monday and new evidence was heard during a preliminary hearing. Cell phone data puts Myers within a few hundred feet of Keathley's house in Dundee, the site of the murder on May 27, 2015. Keathley was found in his home on May 30th with multiple stab wounds. The crime scene was heavily compromised as someone bleached the majority of the house. Sha'ron Ellis, Keathley's accused murderer, made a partial confession to the crime as well as burning Keathley's car in Freedom Park on the 27th. Phone records show several conversations between Ellis and Myers on the 27th. Ellis told detectives he called Myers and asked him if bleach gets rid of blood. Over the course of three interviews Myers denied all involvement with the crime and denied ever being at Keathley's residence. - (Black-on-white) |

Knife. Knife at my throat. I’m sorry mommy. I’m so sorry. She took your purse. I didn’t know what else to do.’ ” Smith says the woman had opened the passenger door and ordered her son to hand over her purse. He sat perfectly still, though, prompting her to lean across him to grab it herself. Adulterous white woman that was having sex with her black boyfriend while her (White) toddler allegedly 'drowned' in bathtub Punishment for the mother of toddler Lonzie Barton in her criminal charges related to her son’s disappearance will be the maximum five years in prison. Lonna Lauramore Barton, 26, made no comments and had no reaction to the sentence. She pleaded guilty in January to one count each of child neglect and lying to police. As part of her plea she agreed to testify against former boyfriend William Ruben Ebron Jr., but that became unnecessary when Ebron confessed and told police where Lonzie’s body had been hidden. Friday there was no discussion about whether Lauramore Barton could still face more charges in Lonzie’s death. Lauramore Barton’s attorneys have said she didn’t know what happened to Lonzie, but Ebron told prosecutors the child drowned in the bathtub while the couple had sex in another room. Ebron was watching Lonzie and the child’s 5-year-old sister that day while Lauramore Barton went to work as a dancer at Wacko’s on Emerson Street. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Suspect Charged With Killing (White) Neighbor Working Out At Luxury Gym CHICAGO — A wheelchair-bound man has been charged with fatally shooting a neighbor at a gym in the luxury apartment building where they lived. Reggie Daniel, 48, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, a day after he turned himself in for shooting 45-year-old Darrin Joss, who was running on an elliptical machine inside a gym at 555 W. Kinzie St. around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Both Daniel and Joss lived in the building in the Fulton River District neighborhood. Daniel was ordered held on $1 million bail Friday afternoon. Police said Daniel shot Joss in the head and chest after the two had “a verbal altercation.” Joss was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after the shooting, and was pronounced dead. Witnesses said Daniel was involved in a heated argument with Joss earlier in the evening. “I heard that it was a dispute about a girlfriend,” Matt Budreau said. “I overheard a man kind of getting mad at another man for flirting with his girlfriend,” Gina Genero said. - (Black-on-white) |
