Black Man Wanted For Allegedly Assaulting Mentally Handicapped Woman KENDALL, Fla. -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Kendall and officers hope the public can help find him before he strikes again. Miami-Dade police said the man, who possibly goes by the name Duke, targeted a mentally handicapped woman. The man apparently attacked the 42-year-old on Kendall Drive in the area of 140th Avenue Saturday afternoon. The victim was sitting on a bus stop bench when the man approached her and offered to walk her home. She accepted. Police said the man then led the woman behind a building and sexually assaulted her. - (-88-) |
Death penalty sought against dark beast accused of raping, killing girl, 5 A man charged with the 1994 sexual assault and death of his then-girlfriend Pennie Griffin's 5-year-old daughter Felicia Griffin will become Hinds County's first death penalty case in nearly 10 years. Peterson said black jurors will vote for the death penalty if the circumstances warrant it, especially if a child is involved. Felicia died at the home her mother shared with Moffett on Lynda Street. Moffett reported to police he found Felicia on the bed bleeding after he came home from a bar. The child's mother, Pennie Griffin, couldn't be reached for comment. Reward Increased for two Spanic rape suspects believed to be headed for Mexico * Police Look for Van in Rape Case The first is 23-year-old Armando Rodriguez Aguilar. Jackson police say he’s been living in Jackson since 2004. Aguilar didn’t go home Wednesday night and didn’t show up for work Thursday morning leading, police to believe he’s now on the run. The second suspect is Daniel Juarez Hernandez. Police only have a sketch of Juarez to go by at this point. Police now have an arrest warrant out for both him and Aguilar. Juan Espinoza-Lozano Wanted For Murder Juan Espinoza-Lozano goes by the nickname Pollo. But according to police, he's no chicken when it comes to violent confrontations. “He's very elusive. He's dangerous. He's known to carry weapons and we've been after him for some time now.” Tucson Police have an impressive stack of warrants for Lozano. The most serious is a drive-by shooting at a known drug house in Midvale Park nearly three years ago that left one man dead. Eight months later, police say Lozano was involved in another shooting. For nearly three years, he's avoided capture thanks to friends on both sides of the border. - (White Boy) |
No suspects emerging in rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight shooting MIAMI --Police had no suspects Sunday in the shooting of rap mogul Suge Knight at an MTV awards party -- a typical development in the street-justice world of rap. Knight, 40, was shot once in the upper right leg shortly after midnight Saturday at a star-studded bash hosted by Kanye West. He was scheduled for surgery to remove a bullet from his leg and repair a broken bone. A police report described the shooter only as a black male wearing a pink shirt. "We are interviewing all the witnesses we can to hopefully develop a composite," Miami Beach police spokesman Bobby Hernandez said. - (Gman) |
Testimony In Black Road Rage Murder Trial Wraps Up It is the final day in the murder trial against Michael Gover, the man accused of stabbing another man to death during a road rage incident. Friday, the victim's cousin took the witness stand. Richard Rice testified that on April 3, he and Jason Schmalenberger were going to play golf when they were passed on Parsons Avenue. When they all stopped at a stop sign, he saw some people in the other vehicle getting out of the car. He thought they were changing seats, but they attacked instead. "It was going on for a few seconds and I couldn't get out. I tried to a call 911 and then, as Jason was proceeding to get punched, I heard, 'Give me my knife, give me my knife, give me my knife.' Police Identify Timonium Rape Suspect Police identified David Corwin Mollett in connection to a rape Sunday. Baltimore County police issued an arrest warrant for the Aug. 21 rape reported in Timonium. Mollett, 35, of Cockeysville, faces charges of first-degree rape. Police said they believe he has fled the state for the Midwest. Police said they discovered that Mollett was in Rolla, Mo., around 9:50 p.m. Thursday. Youth home employee charged with sexual assault An employee at a suburban Chicago youth home was charged with sexual assault after county officials alleged he had inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old developmentally disabled girl. Roy D. Nabors of Hanover Park was charged with felony criminal sexual assault. Juan Manuel Alvarez, who caused train wreck may get death LOS ANGELES -- Prosecutors will seek the death penalty against the man accused of causing a collision of two commuter trains that killed 11 people and injured nearly 200. Juan Manuel Alvarez, 26, allegedly parked his Jeep on tracks in suburban Glendale on Jan. 26, then abandoned the vehicle as a Metrolink train approached. The train crashed into the Jeep and derailed, slamming into an oncoming train. Alvarez has pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of murder and one count of arson. |
Black burglars break into home - roast pet dog in the oven Two people are in jail after being arrested for burglarizing a Southside Savannah woman's home. Not only are they being charged with burglary, one of them is also being charged with animal cruelty. Police say the crime committed inside the home was unimaginable. "The officer came in, did a further search," said Burnsed. "It was the officers who found the dog in the oven." After receiving an anonymous tip police arrested Alexander Davis and Evelyn Williams, who was found with Davis at a pawn shop trying to sell items stolen from the house. While investigators continue their investigation, they say what was found in the home was one of the most disturbing discoveries they've ever made. Albany man charged with robbery and rape An Albany man has been arrested in connection with a home invasion and a brutal rape in July. Keith Mancini, 30, has been charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree rape. Police said Mancini and another man forced their way into an Arbor Hill home on July 31. Police said a 34-year-old woman and her 17-year-old son were tied while the suspects ransacked the apartment looking for drugs and money. Orangeburg man faces felony charges for allegedly raping his girlfriend's 14-year-old niece Lindy Lamont Jones, 29, turned himself in earlier this week. According to warrants from the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department, the crime happened on August 15th at a home in Orangeburg. Deputies say Jones held the teen hostage in a bathroom and raped her while the girl was spending the night with her aunt. "It makes you feel really, really bad to think that somebody would take advantage of our kids, and unfortunately it happens," said Captain Rene Williams with the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department. - (-88-) |
Naked Man Charged in Multiple Break-Ins, Assaults on women and children Police have arrested a 28-year old in connection with a series of break-ins and assaults on women and children. Wardell Leggon, Jr., is charged with two counts of breaking and entering with the intent to assault, four counts of assault and battery and two counts of indecent exposure. Officials say it was just before 7:00am when they received a call from a female resident advising that an unknown, naked male forced his way into her residence and assaulted her. Moments later, police received another call from an individual in the same area indicating that a naked male had been seen in the area. As officers arrived on the scene, a third call came from a female resident saying that an unknown, naked male had entered her residence. New Orleans Police Officer accused of aggrevated rape A two-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department was arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a woman he stopped on the street. Investigators said 5th District Officer Keith Griffin, 37, was working the night shift July 11 at about 3 a.m. when he stopped a 37-year-old woman riding a bicycle. The woman was detained, driven to Flood and Deslonde streets and sexually assaulted. Immediately following the assault, the victim reported the incident to the Police Department. - (Rasp) |

Police have two suspect denoscriptions. One is a black male in his 30's, husky build, 6 feet tall, 200 lbs., and wearing an orange shirt. Police Need Your Help In Capturing Beating Suspects SEATTLE - Two soldiers who just returned from a year in Iraq were badly beaten in an attack outside Pioneer Square. But believe it or not, someone caught the beating on videotape. Now, police are asking for your help identifying the suspects. The brutality of it all was captured on tape outside of Larry's Nightclub on First and Yesler on July 31. Police say the victims were with two women who'd been groped by the suspects. One of the women threw a hot dog at the suspects and walked away. They didn't get very far. The three suspects ran after them and began attacking the two men -- two soldiers who'd come home from the war. The graphic videotape shows both victims getting beaten over and over again, and then after one of the victims loses consciousness, a suspect starts stomping on his head. Commutation Sought for Black Woman on Death Row HOUSTON -- Lawyers for a death row inmate asked the Texas parole board Wednesday to commute her sentence and stop the lethal injection that would make her only the third woman executed in the state since the Civil War. Frances Newton, 40, is scheduled to die Sept. 14 for the 1987 shooting deaths of her husband and two children. Apology leads to arrest of Juan Manuel Vega in rape of his friend's wife POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- A tape-recorded apology has led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting the wife of a friend. The 25-year-old woman told detectives that "fishing friend" Juan Manuel Vega, stopped by her house. The woman, who was alone in her house at the time, said Vega made inappropriate advances toward her. When she told him to stop, she said, Vegas grabbed her by her hair, dragged her into the bedroom, sexually assaulted her and tried to force her to perform oral sex. The woman said that when she managed to get away from Vega, he ran from the house. - (White Boy) |
Rape suspect busted A Tampa rape suspect, Marcus Davidson, allegedly offered a ride home to a woman he met at a bar. During the drive, he started driving recklessly so she could not get away. Davidson then allegedly put his hands around the victim's neck, demanded sex from her and raped her. She was eventually able to escape and ran to a nearby home, whose occupants called 911. The Police Department responded, spotted the suspect's car, stopped his vehicle and arrested him. Davidson first denied having sex with the victim, but later said it was consensual. Update: Mexican migrant worker Israel Lopez-Aguilar charged in rape HORSEHEADS - The rape suspect police had been hunting since Monday night was arrested in the town of Chemung early Thursday and was arraigned later that morning in Horseheads Village Court. Israel Lopez-Aguilar, 34, whom police identified as a Mexican migrant worker, was charged with one count each of first-degree rape and first-degree attempted rape. Both charges are felonies. Lopez-Aguilar, speaking through an interpreter waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Lopez-Aguilar traveled from Atlanta looking for work in the area and had been staying in the village for about a month, Zelco said. He said it is not known whether Lopez-Aguilar is a legal citizen. - (Brewski) - (crime) |
Police seek 'Spanic rape suspect The Horseheads Police Department is currently searching for a 35-year-old Hispanic male suspect involved with a rape Monday night in the area of Westinghouse Road. The suspect is considered to be dangerous. He has an average build, is 5-feet-8 to 6 feet tall, has a mustache and was last seen wearing boxer shorts. Residents in the area are urged to take precautions and secure their homes and buildings.
