Hickey Leads To Arrest Of Suspect In 1990 Orlando Rape Case ORLANDO, Fla. -- After 15 years, a rape suspect is in custody and investigators said the break they got was just a coincidence when they opened the cold case. Orlando police arrested 50-year-old Eddie Adams on Thursday morning. Police said he was connected to a crime 15 years ago because of a mark he left on the victim's neck. It was a case detectives didn't think they could solve, but 15 years later they did. Adams was arrested in a 1990 case where a 22-year-old woman was raped and kidnapped. |
Black attempted to kidnap two little girls The St. Petersburg Police Department has released a composite sketch of a man they say may have tried to abduct two girls at their bus stop. It happened at 23rd Avenue and Seventh Street South Thursday morning as the girls say they were waiting for the bus. Police say just before 7 a.m., the 6- and 10-year-old were approached by a stranger. They say the man started having a conversation with them when he reached out and tried to grab the 6-year-old girl. The two girls ran to a nearby home and called police.- (Tyrone N. Butts) - (TNB) |
Baltimore County police Need Help Identifying Black Rape Suspect Police said a 21-year-old woman was attacked Wednesday night after she got off a bus. They said she was walking along when a man grabbed her and forced her at gunpoint to an area behind Fairbrook Road. Investigators said the victim was sexually assaulted and raped. As the man was leaving, police said he robbed the woman of money and personal items. Police describe the man as a black male; bald; 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall; weighing 200 to 220 pound with a large build. He was wearing a dark colored T-shirt and light colored shorts. |
Black man arrested in murder of 87-year-old white woman Police in Wilkes-Barre said they have a confession from a man telling them the murder of Mary Leo in her apartment was not a break-in gone bad. Rather he watched the 87-year-old woman and figured she was an easy target for cash. It's a crime police called heinous, horrendous and senseless. Leo was just sitting on her back porch when she was targeted. The man arrested admitted to officers that he followed her into her home and killed her. Leo lived on the second floor of Abe's Hot Dogs. Elderly White Woman Mugged in Senior Citizens Center parking lot by 200 lb 6 ft Cowardly Young Black An elderly woman is shaken up after being mugged in broad daylight. What's more alarming, the attacked happened in the parking lot of the Tyler Senior Citizens Center. 79-year-old Mattie Spruill got out of her car. The mugger came at her and knocked her down, got her purse then ran into a wooded area. She had cuts under her chin, on her hand and her knee. Some of her teeth were broken. Spruill's daughter rushed to the Senior Citizens Center when she heard what happened. As she cried, she kept saying, "How can someone be so vicious?" Tyler Man Arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a 12-year-old girl A 28-year-old Tyler man is charged with trying to have sex with a 12-year-old girl. Mark Roberts was arrested Monday morning for aggravated sexual assault. Police say the young girl went to his house. They do not know why she went over there, but once there, she tells police Roberts tried to sexually assualt her. - (White Boy) |
Bus Stop Rape Suspect Was On Probation For Similar Incident * Rape suspect admitted 2002 attack BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- A man who is accused of raping a woman who he grabbed at a bus stop was already on probation for a similar incident that happened three years ago. Police said Alphonso Casica Jr., 25, of Miramar, was caught on a bus surveillance tape just minutes before he and a woman got off the bus at the 180th Avenue bus stop on Pines Boulevard on Thursday. Investigators said Casica then grabbed the woman and dragged her behind a large hedge, where he raped her. A witness called police after seeing the woman being grabbed. - (aryan_barbarian) |
Lutcher Police Chief Accused Of Dealing Drugs La. -- Lutcher Police Chief Corey Pittman was arrested by federal drug agents for drug-dealing The Drug Enforcement Agency said an undercover drug operation has been ongoing for the past three months, during which time undercover agents allegedly bought drugs from Pittman on five different occasions. The DEA said the sales of crack cocaine and the prenoscription painkiller hydrocodone netted Pittman $5,200. 78-year-old woman accused of fatally shooting her 85-year-old ex-boyfriend ATLANTA (AP) -- A Fulton County Grand Jury Tuesday indicted a 78-year-old woman accused of fatally shooting her 85-year-old ex-boyfriend just days after a nasty breakup. Lena Sims Driskell was charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in the June 10 death of Herman Winslow at the Hightower Manor retirement home in southwest Atlanta. Rayonous Burnett Accused Of Killing 2-Year-Old Daughter - Police: Man Beat Infant To Death CHICAGO -- A West Side man accused of the beating death of his 2-year-old daughter was scheduled to appear for a bond hearing Tuesday. Rayonous Burnett, 24, was charged Monday with first-degree murder in the death of his daughter, Shyania Crittle. Someone called for an ambulance around 12:30 p.m. Saturday from the home of Shyania's grandparents, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. She did not know who made the call. Police: Angry Neighbor Wields Machete OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Police said a man's reaction to neighbor noise was a bit over the top -- enough so that it landed him in jail! A bunch of friends were in an apartment on Sunday morning when a neighbor came over and asked them to keep it down. Apparently they weren't quiet enough, because the man, Yusef Trivue, returned, kicked in the door, and was holding a baseball bat and a machete, according to police. Man who raped 2 gets life sentences - Both victims, ages 9 and 10, were taken from their beds at night FORT PIERCE — Both girls kissed their mothers good night and crawled into bed. On those two separate nights in September and October 2003, each girl awoke in the middle of the night to a strange man hovering over her bed. A jury decided that the man, Frederick Lamar Mitchell, repeated a similar attack: He broke into their Fort Pierce homes, carried the girls outside and violently raped them. Texas: 14-year-old Girl Gang-raped and Shot Multiple Times An East Texas 14-year-old girl is in the hospital tonight. She was sexually assaulted and shot a number of times over the weekend. Two men and a juvenile boy attacked the girl, after taking her to the woods. The Sheriff's Department says the girl was shot in the head, face, chest, and thigh, but she was still able to go to a neighbor's house to get help. That neighbor, who called 911, turned out to be the grandmother of one of the suspects, Brian O'Neal Jackson-Grant, 21. Muhammad A. Dar Accused of Molesting Younger than 12-year-old GRANDVIEW, Mo. - A Grandview man was behind bars Monday night, accused of sex crimes.Prosecutors charged Muhammad A. Dar, 35, with two counts of statutory sodomy for allegedly assaulting a child younger than 12. Feds Moving Against Ex-City Attorney Accused Of Rape NEW ORLEANS -- Federal authorities are moving to indict a former New Orleans prosecutor on charges of sexually assaulting several women in his capacity as a city official. The Defense attorney said Henry A. Dillon III has received has received a "target letter" from the U.S. attorney's office warning of impending grand jury indictments accusing him of misusing his position as assistant city attorney. Dillon was fired from his city job Dec. 1, 2004, after being booked on state charges of forcible rape and malfeasance. Police accuse him of luring a 20-year-old woman who was facing lewd conduct and drug charges in municipal court to his private law office under the guise of helping her out of her legal difficulties. - (Tyrone N. Rafael Gonzalez only gets probation for raping 8-year-old son of his girlfriend former Peabody man who admitted raping and molesting an 8-year-old Peabody boy in his home four years ago will be on 20 years of straight probation and life time community parole. Rafael Gonzalez, 32, was about to go on trial Monday morning in Lawrence Superior Court, but instead negotiations were conducted between the prosecutor, defense and the judge that resulted in a confession on all his charges. Gonzalez, a truck driver, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape of a child, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under age 14 and two counts of assault and battery. Another Drunk Mestizo - Rosalio Pedraza Charged After Two Killed In Accident INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were killed and three others were injured in an accident police said was caused by a drunken driver. The dead and injured were occupants in a Mercedes SUV leaving a wedding reception at the Indianapolis Zoo. Rosalio Pedraza, 31, was believed to have caused the accident. Witnesses told police the Mercedes had the right-of-way as it approached a green light at an intersection. As the driver turned onto Washington Street, the Mercedes was broadsided by a Ford Bronco, driven by Pedraza. Police said Pedraza's blood-alcohol measured three times the legal limit on a portable breath test. Police said this was not the first time Pedraza had been arrested for driving drunk. The victims were identified as Thomas Youngstafel, 45, and Joseph Gehler, 30, both from Kentucky. Citizenship status of suspect not reported - the victims' names do not sound 'Hispanic' |
S.C. Man Details Missing Woman's Killing SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- A man accused of killing a woman who has been missing for more than a year said he threw a hot iron at her during an argument about money, then buried her body in the woods. In a jailhouse interview, Christopher Hampton said that he panicked after the iron struck 24-year-old Tamika Huston in the head, killing her. Hampton, 25, said he drove around with the body for hours before burying it. "The whole time I was hoping she would wake up," Hampton said Monday. "I didn't want to tell anybody because I didn't want people to think I was a killer. I ain't a killer. ... I don't want people to think bad of me." |
Police Capture Half Of Modern-Day 'Bonnie And Clyde' - make that "Rochelle and Jamel" INDIANAPOLIS -- Police compared them to a modern day Bonnie and Clyde, but at least one of them has been apprehended. Police caught Rochelle Gibson on Sunday, but Jamel Brown remains on the loose. Police said the couple stole thousands of dollars in several armed robberies since the end of last month. They were allegedly planning their next heist when an officer spotted their car and gave chase. Police confiscated hundreds of dollars and a semi-automatic handgun from a car that crashed after a brief chase at 10th and Concord streets on the city's west side. |
