Body Found in Car Trunk Identified; One Arrest Made Police have identified the body of an Indianapolis woman found in a car trunk, and they’ve arrested one man they call a person of interest in the murder case. The murder victim has been identified as Summer Sheese, 25. Her body was found in a car trunk in the driveway of a home on 66th Street on Wednesday. Sheese had an extensive arrest record which included prostitution. Police arrested Paul Mayes on unrelated charges but say he's a person of interest in the murder. His grandmother lives in the home. After a two-hour standoff, Mayes and his cousin finally came out of the Alvord home. Man Charged With Stabbing Dog To Death INDIANAPOLIS -- Police said an Indianapolis man stabbed a dog to death and then threw the carcass at them. Robert Williams, 32, allegedly used a butcher knife to repeatedly stab the animal Friday. He claimed it had been growling at him. The dog's owner called police for help. Police said when they arrived at an east side apartment, Williams tossed the dog's body at them. Williams was in the Marion County Jail on a $3,000 bond Sunday evening. He's charged with torturing an animal. |
Suspect Wanted In Shooting Of Cumberland Girl CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. -- Cumberland County sheriff deputies are searching for a man wanted in connection with the shooting of a young girl. 23-year old Henry Sims III fired a rifle into a mobile home on Holland Street. Investigators believe the shooting was in retaliation to Sims being robbed during a botched drug deal. However, the suspect fired into the wrong home where several children, ranging in ages of one year to 14 years old, were located. One of those children, a 12-year old girl, was shot in the back and seriously injured. Sims is considered armed and dangerous. - (forum) |
Police On Lookout For Man Suspected In Armed Robbery INDIANAPOLIS -- The FBI is asking Hoosiers to be on the lookout for a potentially dangerous armed robbery suspect. Pascal Sylla was spotted Saturday night in the area of 91st Street and Michigan Road after eluding police in Shelby County last week. Sylla allegedly held up the First Financial Bank in Rushville last Tuesday. After the robbery, police said he sped off on a motorcycle and crossed from Rush County into Shelby County before crashing the bike. He then allegedly hid in a Morristown cornfield. Despite an intense manhunt, officers were unable to track him down. |
Prosecutor Tells Jurors to Follow Blood in Children's Decapitation Murders by two Mexican Migrnants BALTIMORE (AP) - A prosecutor asked jurors to follow the blood, which he said links two Mexican immigrants to the bodies of three small children who were found beaten and nearly decapitated in a Baltimore apartment last year. Prosecutor Tony Garcia said the bloodstained clothing of Adan Canela and Policarpio Espinoza proves they killed the three children related to them: Ricardo Espinoza Jr., 9, Lucero Espinoza, 8, and Alexis Espejo Quezada, 10. Edgewood Officer Accused Of Sexually Abusing Young Pre-teen Girl A suspended Edgewood police officer is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl. According to an affidavit, the accuser said Fred Livingston violated her for years until she decided to fight back at age 14. New Orleans: Man Sought In Marrero Rape Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies are looking for a man they say raped a woman in Marrero after offering to drive her somewhere. Investigator said the man picked up the woman as she was walking on the Westbank Expressway near Barataria Boulevard. The victim accepted a ride, but when she got in the car, the man pulled a knife and drove her to the end of Barataria Boulevard, where he raped her, police said. She managed to escape and run to a nearby home, where she called police. - (Kickdrum) |
Molestation Suspect Caught In 13-year-old Girl's Bedroom, Escaped LAWRENCE, Ind. -- A man suspected of molesting a 13-year-old girl was caught in her bedroom by her father but escaped from responding officers by feigning an asthma attack. The girl's father, investigating noises coming from the girl's bedroom late Thursday night, found a man -- later identified by authorities as Michael Hill, 25 -- hiding under her bed. The father held Hill to the floor of the Lawrence apartment while the girl's mother called police. Officers arrived, but Hill feigned an asthma attack, buying himself an opportunity to flee the apartment when they weren't looking. - (forum) |
Black Texas Man to Be Retried on Charge of Murdering a White hotel clerk DALLAS -- The U.S. Supreme Court decision that overturned the murder conviction of a black man accused of killing Douglas Walker, a white hotel clerk during a robbery cited a manual that instructed prosecutors on how to exclude minorities from Texas juries. But the county prosecutor says that ruling didn't call into question the guilt of the inmate, Thomas Miller-El, and the state plans to seek the death penalty again in a new trial. "His guilt of this heinous crime is not in question," Dallas District Attorney Bill Hill said. Arlington Police Charge Man In 3-Year-Old Foster Daughter's Death FORT WORTH, Texas -- Arlington police charged a man in connection with the death of his 3-year-old foster daughter. Officers arrested Timothy Rashon Warner III . and charged him with injury to a child involving serious bodily injury. Police said Warner, 29, had taken Sierra Odom to the U.S.M.D. Hospital saying the child had been in a car crash. However, the medical staff was suspicious and called police, but Odom died before officers arrived. Sports: Star Highschool Athlete might get 40 years for two rapes Attorney James Backstrom said he will seek a 40-year prison sentence for a St. Paul teenager who pleaded guilty Friday to sexually assaulting a West St. Paul woman in front of her 4-year-old son a year ago. Rashade D. Coleman already has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for the rape of a St. Paul college student in October 2003. He was 16 when he committed both attacks. "This was a particularly violent attack, and it was particularly egregious in being committed in front of a small child," Backstrom said. Rashade said he was high on marijuana at the time. Rashade earlier admitted that he broke into a dormitory at Concordia University and raped a student in her room. Police Capture Suspected Rapist In Miramar Fla. -- A man who is suspected of raping a woman in Pembroke Pines was arrested. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Alfonso Casica Jr., was found at his Miramar apartment where neighbors said he lived with his girlfriend and baby girl. Police say Casica attacked a 22-year-old woman after she got off the bus. Casica was also a passenger on the bus and apparently followed the woman when she got off. The woman told police he pulled her behind some bushes, told her he had a gun and said he would use it if she didn't cooperate. Alfonso now faces charges of sexual battery. - (aryan_barbarian) |

Slain Pine Lake Officer Mourned after being assassinated point-blank by convict on release Authorities identified the man accused of killing a Pine Lake police officer and then turning the gun on himself during a routine traffic stop outside a Pine Lake post office. Cedric O'Neal Gordon, 31, was the driver of the blue Chevrolet that was pulled over by Pine Lake Officer Francis Ortega and his partner. Gordon, who had been involved in a police standoff before, had a previous criminal history and was wanted for violating his supervised release from prison.. Ortega's family and colleagues were mourning the loss of the public servant, who was fatally shot at point-blank range during a traffic stop in which the gunman apparently committed suicide while hiding from other officers inside a nearby post office. - (Tyrone N. Durham Man Charged With Sex Offenses Against Gir Child Durham police arrested a man Friday for committing several sexual offenses against a child that may have been going on for several years. Police charged 53-year-old Luther Holman with first-degree sex offense, first-degree rape of a child, crime against nature and taking indecent liberties with a child. Investigators said the victim was not related to Holman, and they believe the offenses went on for several years. Holman is being held in the Durham County Jail under $520,000 bond. - (Tyrone N. Fitchburg Man Gets Maximum For Killing Girlfriend - "Love is Strange" MADISON, Wis. -- A Fitchburg man who murdered his girlfriend was sentenced to a mandatory life prison term Thursday in Dane County Circuit Court. Tom McCants was convicted earlier of killing Lizzette Fountain at their Fitchburg apartment in December 2002. Assistant District Attorney Matt Moeser said the judge will decide a parole eligibility date later. |
Weldon Man Accused In Shooting Death HALIFAX COUNTY, N.C. -- The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection with a July 16 slaying. Authorities say Travis Williams, 22, of Weldon, is wanted in connection with the slaying of Charles Mitchum. Authorities say Williams shot the victim several times with a handgun. Investigators say Williams has ties to the Durham area. |
Two Suspects In Custody, One On Loose In Robbery, Shooting RALEIGH, N.C. -- Raleigh police have arrested two suspects and they are looking for one more in an Aug. 6 robbery and shooting. Authorities say Thaddeus Parham and Carlos Spruill robbed Sylester Maule on Brockton Drive. Parham is charged with attempted murder and robbery. Spruill is accused of aiding and abetting. At least one additional, unidentified suspect remains at large. |
Victim Says HIV Case Surprising To Suspect's Family And Friends We now know more about the man accused of intentionally spreading H-I-V in Minnehaha county. Sterling Davis Williams is accused of having sex with two women and not telling them he's infected with HIV. He's currently in the State Penitentiary on a parole violation. Williams is the first man accused of intentionally spreading HIV in Minnehaha County. Iowa Man Charged With Criminal Transmission Of H.I.V There's a new case of a man accused of intentionally exposing others to HIV. This time, a father-in-law reported the man to police, making it the third case of intentional HIV exposure in three weeks. Dewayne Boyd is behind bars charged with criminal transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Authorities believe between August 1st and August 10th, the 31-year-old had sexual intercourse three times with one woman. But that's not the whole story. Investigators learned about the case through Boyd's father-in-law, who says his daughter suffers from the virus too. He's the man accused of intentionally exposing at least one woman to HIV.
