Utah cop fired for misuse of
sexploitation victim’s photos
before her murder A Utah cop who showed off explicit photos of a sexploitation victim days before she was murdered has been fired from the force, his police chief has confirmed. University of Utah student Lauren McCluskey, 21, went to campus cops in October 2018 because she was terrified of twisted ex Melvin Rowland, 37, a sex offender who was blackmailing her and would later kill her. While he was supposed to be helping her, university police officer Miguel Deras kept explicit photos of McCluskey — bragging to colleagues that he could “look at them whenever he wants,” an investigation concluded, according to The Salt Lake Tribune, the paper which first revealed the scandal. Deras showed them off to at least three male colleagues — with the other officers saying he was saying “lucky” to work on a case with a “cute girl,” the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) report stated. Just nine days after she reported the case, McCluskey was shot dead by Rowland — who then killed himself the same day. - (Black-on-White) |

Two
Warrensburg men charged in
connection to weekend murder WARRENSBURG, MO (KCTV) – Johnson County Prosecutor Robert W. Russell announced Wednesday charges in connection to the murder of Maliyah Lakey who was killed August 1 in Warrensburg. 25-year-old Evan R. Lanigan of Warrensburg and 27-year-old Christian J. Harrison of Warrensburg were charged in connection to the shooting. On August 1, at 12:09 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of East Grover Street to investigate a shooting. When the officers arrived, they discovered three shooting victims, a 20-year-old male, a 17-year-old female and Lakey. Lakey was pronounced dead at the scene and the other victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries. Through investigation, it was determined that Lanigan and another male were engaged in a fight in the kitchen of the home when Lanigan produced a gun and pointed it at the head of the male. Lanigan pulled the trigger but the gun did not go off. This fight caused the people in the home to immediately run out of the home where Lanigan and Harrison began discharging firearms. Investigators believe this exchange of gunfire led to Lakey, the 20-year-old male and the 17-year-old female being shot. - (Black-on-White) |

UPDATE:
(BLACK EX-CONVICT) Muncie man
arrested for brutal murder of his
'on-again, off-again" (white)
sex partner MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man has been arrested on a preliminary count of murder in the death of a local woman. David Earl Bond Jr., 40, was being held without bond Friday in the Delaware County jail on Friday. He is also preliminarily charged with resisting law enforcement, possession of meth and driving while suspended. The murder charge stems from the Monday death of 36-year-old Ashley Marie Bennett. The slaying took place in the victim's apartment in the 600 block of South Council Street. Chief Deputy Prosecutor Zach Craig on Friday said authorities believe Bennett was fatally strangled. An autopsy, conducted Tuesday at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, determined she had "two broken bones in her airway that would have proved fatal," according to an affidavit. Her body also had multiple injuries that suggested she had been beaten, including blunt force trauma to her head, cuts and other facial injuries, black eyes, bruises "throughout her body" and a displaced tooth. Investigators said they found blood throughout the apartment. A witness said when she encountered Bond at the apartment on Monday afternoon, he was wearing "a white wife-beater" with blood on it. Amy Kesler, a Muncie police sergeant, said Bond had accused Bennett and others of stealing a bank card from him. Bennett's mother, Lori Craft, on Friday expressed frustration Bond had been free despite a lengthy criminal record and several charges already pending in local courts. "The court system's got to step up and start doing its job," she said. Craft expressed appreciation for the city police detectives whose work led to Thursday's arrest. She said her daughter and Bond had engaged in an on-again, off-again relationship. Ashley Bennett was the mother of a daughter. Bond has been convicted of criminal confinement, dealing in cocaine, domestic battery (twice), leaving the scene of an accident, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, resisting law enforcement (four times) and robbery. In Indiana, a murder conviction carries a maximum 65-year prison term. - (Black-on-White) |

Detective Alvaro Zabaleta had earlier called the fugitive who shot at three unmarked police cars and ran away “extremely dangerous.” Lopez’s arrest was announced Friday morning. Ingram allegedly "placed a handheld megaphone directly against the officer's ear, activated the megaphone and yelled, causing pain and protracted impairment of hearing," according to McRorie. |

man in Hillsborough
County HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A 19-year-old caretaker was arrested after officials say he physically abused an 88-year-old man. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said on Wednesday, August 5, Jonah Delgado, 19, was the on-duty caretaker for the victim, an 88-year-old man who required full-time care for basic needs. Home surveillance video shows Delgado slapping the victim's face and yelling at him. Delgado was also seen placing the victim in a wheelchair where he hit the victim multiple times in the face, head and stomach, officials say. “You can see this 19-year-old who we have arrested, forcefully place the father in a wheelchair, and then several times, begin slapping the 88-year-old who is unable to defend himself in any way, shape or form," said Hillsborough Sheriff Chad Chronister. Later, Delgado pushed the victim into a bed and punched him in the stomach three times, officials said. Detectives worked quickly to obtain an arrest warrant, and with the assistance of the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Delgado was arrested on Wednesday around midnight. "Despicable, deplorable, indefensible," said Sheriff Chronister. Chronister said the elderly man's son hired Delgado to provide the at-home care services. The elderly man used to live in an assisted living facility but his son brought him home in March amid coronavirus concerns. |

Police are now looking into whether anyone else may have been a victim. They urge anyone who has had contact with Mena or has information on other possible victims to contact the Children's Assessment Center at 713-830-3259. |

lawsuit A former student at an elite Manhattan private school claims in a shocking $20 million lawsuit that he was molested by three staffers, including one who allegedly kept a horrific trophy — jeans with locks of victims’ hair sewn into them. Anthony Filiberti is the second alum to sue the $50,000-a-year Saint David’s School over past childhood sex abuse. “Initially, it was incredibly pleasant. You ran around this donated mansion,” said Filiberti, who attended the all-boys elementary housed in three historic townhomes next to the Guggenheim on East 89th Street, from 1965 to 1973. The K-8 academy, which counts Tom Brady’s son as a student and the late John F. Kennedy Jr. as a grad, catered to the well-to-do. Filiberti’s dad was well-known concert promoter Raymond Filiberti, whose clients included Judy Garland. Then life “went sideways,” said Filiberti, now 60. His homeroom teacher, Rey Buono, was the first to abuse him, Filiberti claims in a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit filed against the school under New York’s Child Victims Act, which opened a legal window to adjudicate old sex-abuse claims. Buono, 74, who is facing child sex abuse charges in Massachusetts, is free on $50,000 bail. A lawyer for Buono did not respond to questions from The Post. Then Filiberti met guitar teacher Chuck Jones — who allegedly introduced the boy to drugs, repeatedly sexually abused him while he was too high to move and eventually had him peddling pot, hash and other drugs on his behalf, according to court papers. Jones would kiss him while blowing marijuana smoke into his mouth, and allegedly had QUEER-FAGGOT-UNNATURAL sex with Saint David’s French teacher Charlie Rich in front of him, said Filiberti, who claims Rich also abused him. |

murdered his rape accuser after
being let out of jail for 'virus'
- then commits suicide ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Ibrahm E. Bouaichi died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound that severely hurt the man Wednesday. Police confirmed the news to WUSA9 on Saturday. Police in Virginia say that Bouaichi, a rape suspect released from jail in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, went on to kill the woman who had accused him. The Washington Post reports that Bouaichi was tracked down by authorities on Wednesday. But he shot himself and was in grave condition on Thursday. Bouaichi was indicted last year on charges that included rape, strangulation and abduction. He was jailed without bond in Alexandria. The woman testified against him in Alexandria District Court in December. When the pandemic hit, Bouaichi’s lawyers argued that he should be freed awaiting trial because the virus endangered both inmates and their attorneys. He was released on $25,000 bond over the objections of a prosecutor. |

Leelanau County Administrator Chet Janik said Tom Eckerle, a member of the county road commission, would step down after receiving criticism from across the U.S. for his comments. “I'm not a racist,” Eckerle said. “Black Lives Matter is racist. fetus by doing toxic drugs California's attorney general has thrown his support behind overturning a murder charge against a woman who delivered a stillborn baby with toxic levels of methamphetamine in his system. Attorney General Xavier Becerra filed an amicus brief Friday backing a bid by Chelsea Becker to end the prosecution of her over a stillbirth in September 2019. Becker, 26, has been jailed since November. "Our laws in California do not convict women who suffer the loss of their pregnancy, and in our filing today we are making clear that this law has been misused to the detriment of women, children, and families," Becerra said in a statement, contending that the local district attorney "misapplied and misinterpreted" a state law against the intentional killing of a fetus. |

Seventeen-year-old Adarus Black is wanted for the murder of a recent high school graduate who died when someone opened fire on her car. "Why? That's what I gotta say to Adarus Black. Why?" Nearly two months ago on June 15 Crawford, who lived in Akron, Ohio had been helping her ailing grandmother run some errands when Black and two others approached her Chevy Camaro with a gun. Convicted child rapist sex
offender accused of kidnapping,
raping another victim - freed on
bail by rabid pro-black fund BOSTON — Boston Police have arrested a Level 3 sex offender for kidnapping and raping another victim in the city. Officials were called to assist Boston EMS with an assault victim in the area of Blue Hill Ave and Wales Street in Dorchester on Wednesday at around 1:30 p.m. At the scene, officers spoke to the victim, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment. An extensive investigation by the BPD Sexual Assault Unit led to the identification of a suspect, 39-year-old Shawn McClinton. McClinton was arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Thursday on charges of aggravated rape, armed kidnapping with sexual assault, strangulation and assault by means of a dangerous weapon. A search through the state’s sex offender registry board (SORB) shows McClinton was previously convicted of raping and abusing a child in June 1994 and of another rape in July 2007. McClinton is also listed as being homeless. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins, McClinton had recently been released on bail in a violent 2018 rape, only to re-offend and be arraigned on new sexual assault charges. The Suffolk County ADA requested on McClinton being held on $250,000 bail and that his bail be revoked in the 2018 sexual assault case, which remains pending in Suffolk Superior Court. The judge imposed a $500,000 bail and revoked his open bail. Prosecutors say McClinton met his victim on Tuesday evening and the two traveled together from Quincy to a location in Dorchester. When the victim tried to leave on Wednesday morning, McClinton is alleged to have raped her at knife point. The victim suffered some injuries in the struggle, but was able to flee. A passerby noticed she had been injured and called 911. “This individual has violently and sexually assaulted women and children in the past. His release on July 15th allowed him the opportunity to sexually assault and harm again. And unfortunately, he did. I’m grateful to Boston Police sexual assault detectives and my prosecutors and advocates for providing compassionate support to the survivor of McClinton’s most recent sexual assault, and for their work helping hold the alleged attacker accountable for these reprehensible acts,” Rollins said. McClinton had been held on $15,000 bail since his arrest February 19, 2018, on charges of kidnapping and two counts each of aggravated rape and assault and battery. He was released on July 15, 2020, when $15,000 was posted by the Massachusetts Bail Fund. “According to its website, the Massachusetts Bail Fund’s stated mission is to ‘Free Them All’ and provide bails of up to $2,000 in Essex, Suffolk and Worcester counties,” Rollins said. “These bails are often posted for low-level, misdemeanor offenses which end up punishing poor people and not serving any legal or public safety purpose. However, aggravated rape, kidnapping for the purpose of sexual assault, strangulation and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon are not low-level misdemeanors. They are violent felonies. And the person they bailed out is a sexual predator that hurts and rapes women and children. The Bail Fund posted $15,000 and set McClinton loose on our community. They don’t care that he is a Level 3 sex offender. They don’t care that he has raped women and children before. They have no responsibility to or compassion for the victims and survivors of his crimes, or the families that he has destroyed. I do. And my office will do the hard work of getting his latest victim all of the treatment and services she needs. We will be with her throughout the entire legal process and beyond.” |

Rape suspect arrested 2 days after
DeKalb K-9 killed during pursuit -
Police dog died in tragic
'friendly fire' incident On the same day the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office honored one of its K-9 officers, deputies arrested the rape suspect they were pursuing when the dog was accidentally shot and killed. Marquizs Harvey, 35, of Atlanta, was taken into custody Thursday without incident at an East Point home, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. According to the police incident report, Harvey is accused of raping a woman July 21 at an undisclosed location in DeKalb. On Tuesday, deputies attempted to serve the warrant at an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta, AJC.com previously reported. During the search for the suspect, K-9 Deputy Bloo got away from its handler and ran. “The K-9 deputy lost sight of the suspect and came upon a plain clothes sheriff’s office investigator involved in the pursuit,” Chief Deputy Randy Akies said earlier. “When the K-9 deputy advanced aggressively, the investigator fired in self-defense.” The dog died at the scene, deputies said. Several law enforcement agencies assisted DeKalb deputies on Thursday during an escort for the fallen K-9. Memorial services are being planned for later this month, the sheriff’s office said. |

The
Most Persecuted People - Bill
Warner, PhD In today’s politics the biggest victim groups are Christians. Nearly everybody, including Christians, ignore the suffering. Christians are endlessly divided and had rather fight among themselves than oppose Islam. In my inbox I have rants against all religions. Then you have the atheists who say all religions are bad. They have compassion for the black and brown people in the US, but not the brown and black Christians in Islamic lands. Why are we losers? We are fools who do not see that Islam has always taken down Kafirs one group at a time. We fight against each other instead of political Islam which will annihilate all of us. All Kafirs, not just Christians, are endlessly divided and will be destroyed one group at a time. All peoples, even atheists should take a moral position on the persecution of Christians. So, if you hate a particular religion or group, just wait. You enemy will be destroyed, but then so will you. Here is an interview of a Coptic Christian. |

murder charge in assault on (white
female) Air Force vet in Las Vegas Las Vegas, NV ---- Danielle Lynch proudly served in the Air Force. She was a single mom to (mixed-race) twins. Caring and always giving — even in death, according to her family. The Las Vegas resident died July 8 of blunt force head trauma, nearly two weeks after she was assaulted during what police are calling a domestic-related argument outside a bar in the northwest valley. And in death, Lynch performed one final heroic deed by donating her organs — an act described as “the ultimate gift to others” by close family friend and Air Force member Derek Danker, who created a GoFundMe page to assist with the care of her 15-year-old twins, Ryan and Jackson. Around 10:45 p.m. on June 27, according to Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Ray Spencer, Lynch and a man were arguing outside the PT’s Gold at 7550 Oso Blanca Road when the man pushed Lynch to the ground. She hit her head as she fell and remained hospitalized at University Medical Center until her death. The man is identified in Las Vegas court records as Terrance Kelly, 42. Jail records show he was arrested on the night of the assault but posted bail. He initially was facing one count of domestic battery resulting in substantial bodily harm, but the charge was upgraded to open murder on July 9, the day after Lynch died. A warrant for his arrest was issued the following day. Spencer, the homicide lieutenant, said Kelly was arrested in Florida and is awaiting extradition to Clark County. - (Black-on-White) |

Man slashes woman he thought was
standing too close to him on
subway A man flew into a rage on a Queens subway train this week — kicking a woman who he thought was standing a bit too close, and then slashing her when she started filming him, according to cops. A 29-year-old woman boarded a southbound 7 train at the Junction Boulevard station at the corner of 82nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, and stood in front of a man who was sitting by the doors, police said. The man kicked the woman and snapped, “Get the f–k away from me!” That was enough to prompt the woman to pull out her cellphone and start taking a video. The man continued cursing at the woman and demanded she stop recording, according to cops. He then removed a lanyard with a folding knife from his neck and started swinging it at the woman, police said. The victim, who sustained a cut on her left arm, got off the train at the 82nd Street station, while her attacker remained on board. She refused medical attention. Cops say the suspect is around 28 years old and 6 feet tall with a slim build and brown eyes, with short, close-cut, dark hair. |

Couple
found slain in California home,
black bank-robber son of 1 victim
arrested Hemet police investigating the deaths of a couple killed in their home announced an arrest Wednesday, Aug. 5. The man and woman, whose names were not immediately released, were discovered dead shortly before 11 p.m. Monday at their residence in the 5000 block of Corte Cerro, near Via Rivas, according to Hemet police Lt. Nathan Miller. “The victims were the only two in the home,” Miller said. On Tuesday, police said an adult son who lives in the home had not been located. Wednesday, the son, Quintin McCracken, 41, was found in San Bernardino. “Following an interview with investigators, he was placed under arrest and will be charged with two counts of murder,” said a police statement. The statement said McCracken is the son of one of the victims and had been released from federal prison in September after serving 13 years for bank robbery. Miller said patrol officers were sent to the location for a welfare check because the victims — the man was in his 70s, and the woman in her 60s — had not been in touch with friends and family for an unspecified period, leading to concerns. Saudi crown prince accused of
sending terrorist hit squad to
Canada Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been accused of sending a hit-squad to Canada in order to kill a former Saudi intelligence official. The failed plan to kill Saad al-Jabri was soon after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey, court documents filed in the US allege. Mr Jabri, a veteran of the government of Saudi Arabia, fled into exile three years ago. He has been under private security protection in Toronto since. The alleged plot failed after Canadian border agents became suspicious of the hit-squad as they attempted to enter the country at Toronto's Pearson International Airport, court documents say. |

protesters face charges with
potential life sentence SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Some Black Lives Matter protesters in Utah could face up to life in prison if they’re convicted of splashing red paint and smashing windows during a protest, a potential punishment that stands out among demonstrators arrested around the country and one that critics say doesn’t fit the alleged crime. The felony criminal mischief charges are more serious because they carry a gang enhancement. Prosecutors said Wednesday that’s justified because the protesters worked together, but watchdogs called the use of the 1990s-era law troubling. The charges have Democratic leaders at odds, with the top county prosecutor arguing vandalism crossed a line and the mayor calling the charges too extreme. |

"friend" after night out Wesley Streete, 20, killed Keeley Bunker after night out to celebrate her birthday A 20-year-old man has been convicted of raping and murdering an (alleged) female friend who had trusted the killer to walk her home." Wesley Streete dumped Keeley Bunker’s body face-down in a brook in a park before trying to conceal it with branches on 19 September last year. He repeatedly lied about what had happened to 20-year-old Bunker as they returned to their hometown of Tamworth, Staffordshire, after an (alleged) night out celebrating her birthday, changing his account at least four times before his trial at Stafford crown court. Streete initially claimed to have left Bunker to walk home alone, before later alleging he “accidentally killed her” during (allegedly) "consensual" sex in Wigginton Park. The jury, returning verdicts on Wednesday, convicted Streete in just over eight hours. Streete, of no fixed address, was also found guilty of two other counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and a charge of sexual activity with a child, against three other victims, said to have taken place in previous years. Bunker’s sister had described her as “one of the most vibrant, caring and beautiful souls this earth has ever seen”. The court heard Bunker’s uncle, Jason Brown, discovered her partially submerged body during a massive search effort involving family, friends and police. A nearby witness described Brown’s cries of alarm as “the most horrendous scream or shout I’ve ever heard in my life”. - (Black-on-White) - (UK) |

Jefferson Co. woman recounts
face-to-face armed robbery with
(black) suspect LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two suspects were arrested Monday afternoon after an alleged carjacking, armed robbery and police chase, according to Louisville Metro Police. Amanda Keto said she was robbed at gunpoint just before 3:00 Monday afternoon. "I'm in my driveway and I'm about to get out and I have a gun to my face," Keto said. Keto was returning to her home in the Polo Fields subdivision when the robbery happened. "A car was going slowly and I just thought they didn't know where they were going. They stopped. I went to go around them, but they moved forward. I made my left into my subdivision," Keto said. According to Keto, the car stayed with her until she pulled into her driveway and that's when she came face to face with the suspect and his gun. He immediately demanded she give him her wallet. "Naturally, I gave it to him and he said, 'That's all you have?' And I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Get into my car. We're going to go cash your checks.' I said, 'I'm not going with you,'" Keto said. She quickly slammed her door, screamed and said the suspect took off. A neighbor was in his garage at the time and heard the scream and managed to get a license plate number and vehicle description as it drove off. It turns out that vehicle description matched one stolen in a carjacking in the Buechel neighborhood earlier in the day. LMPD's air unit tracked down the vehicle and a chase was underway crossing into Oldham County before coming back into Jefferson County. According to LMPD, the suspects -- an adult and a juvenile -- eventually jumped out and ran into the woods. WLKY chopper HD was flying overhead when police finally caught the suspects. Keto hopes her story can now be a reminder to others. "When it boils down to it, you just you act on impulse. You just you know you're not getting in the car with that person. He might as well just shoot you. You're just not going in that car. A whole lot worse was probably going to happen to me," Keto said. - (Black-on-White) |

Gang member carries out three
shootings after being freed
without bail: prosecutors He was set free and allegedly went right back to shooting. A Brooklyn gang member, released without bail in May on an attempted murder charge, participated in at least three drive-by shootings after he was freed, federal prosecutors allege. Darrius Sutton, 23, was initially arrested in connection with a May 16 shooting in the courtyard of an East New York building that left a man seriously injured. Despite the attempted murder rap, Sutton was set free without bail the same day of his May 20 arrest. The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office said the lone witness in the case recanted. “At the time of arraignment, the sole eyewitness had recanted so we did not have sufficient evidence to keep the defendant in custody,” a spokesman for the DA said in a statement. “The investigation is continuing and we hope other witnesses come forward.” Less than two months after being sprung, the purported Bloods gang member allegedly joined others in three drive-by shootings this summer. The gunplay took place between July 13 and 14 and the attacks were just a few of the six shootings in which Sutton participated over the past year, federal prosecutors allege. |

(AP) — A former defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks again faces criminal charges, this time after being accused of stealing purses from a western Missouri property. Saousoalii Siavii Jr., 41, is charged in Cass County with second-degree burglary and a misdemeanor count of stealing, the Kansas City Star reported. A warrant was issued for Siavii’s arrest in June after police say he took two totes, with several purses inside, valued at more than $150 from a shed on someone’s property in Belton. instructor arrested on sex abuse
charges in upstate NY A former Cleveland dance teacher who allegedly molested a student was tracked down and arrested by US Marshals in upstate New York on Monday, authorities said. Terence Greene, 54, a former instructor at the Cleveland School of Arts, was arrested in Brighton, NY, by the Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force. “I applaud the quick work of the team in Rochester,” US Marshal Pete Elliott said in a statement. “They knew how important it was to get this predator off the streets. Both the city streets in Cleveland and Rochester are now safer with this arrest.” Greene was named in a felony warrant on July 21 charging him with sexual battery for allegedly abusing a student in September 2008. The onetime youth dance instructor has a long history of sexual abuse allegations, including criminal charges in 2003 and claims by at least seven former students in 2014. Earlier this year he quit his new job at Cuyahoga County Community College following accusations by another student. But Greene has dodged the past accusations. He was found not guilty after a non-jury trial in the 2003 case, which alleged he sexually abused a 14-year-old boy at the school of arts. |

And Cars Don't Mix: Pursuit leads
to arrests after black suspects
with dreadlocks and cornrows hide
in cornfields KEARNEY, Neb. — Two Colorado men were arrested after they allegedly led police on a pursuit and later fled into cornfields on Saturday. According to the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), a trooper attempted to pull over a Jeep Liberty for speeding around 6:20 p.m. The vehicle was going west on Interstate 80 near Grand Island. NSP said the vehicle fled. At mile marker 305, the Liberty exited, ran through a stop sign and hit a pole on the westbound on-ramp before it went back on I-80 going west. NSP said that the driver continued to drive recklessly and sped over 100 miles per hour. The vehicle was stopped at mile marker 275 after the Kearney Police Department used stop sticks. At that point, NSP said that two men in the vehicle fled into a cornfield on foot. The NSP Aviation Support Division and Police Service Dog Division helped search for the suspects. Around three hours later, the men were found trying to hide in separate spots in fields. The two men were then arrested and taken to the Buffalo County Jail. The driver, Christopher Cornell, 26, of Brighton, Colo., and passenger, Deoviyon Overstreet, 21, of Aurora, Colo., were arrested for possession of marijuana – between one ounce and one pound, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, violation of a protection order, possession of a firearm during a drug violation, failure to obey a lawful order and obstructing a peace officer. In addition to these charges, Cornell will also face the following charges from the pursuit: felony flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, driving during revocation, leaving the scene of an accident and numerous traffic violations. |

County morgue buried in scandal
after penis cake shows up at
office
Updated 6:42 a.m. ET Aug. 3, 2020 In the same week that George Floyd was killed, a cake decorated with a Black penis on it showed up in the conference room at the Macomb County Medical Examiner's Office. Not only was the cake offensive, says one investigator, but it highlighted a chronic problem at the morgue that has now cost three employees their jobs. The Macomb County morgue is buried in scandal involving allegations of all sorts: Employees mocked Blacks inquiring about loved ones' deaths, hung pornography in the office, bullied women who complained and recently brought in a birthday cake frosted with male genitalia art for fun, according to a formal complaint. It was that cake that pushed one employee too far — so she filed the complaint with the federal government. In a workplace dispute that is now in the hands of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, three female employees with the Medical Examiner's office were fired last week for alleged workplace misbehavior that one worker says went on for at least five years. That employee — a death investigator and person of color — said she long wanted to report the offensive behavior, but feared retaliation so she stayed quiet. Then the graphic cake arrived. .... The Free Press has agreed to withhold the employee's name at this time because of the nature of the complaint and her concerns about retaliation. Among her allegations: A decomposed body of an African American male had arrived at the morgue. When the parents arrived, they had difficulty identifying the body, unsure that it was their son. The death investigator recalled one of the morgue workers telling her: "Show them a picture of his penis. Maybe they'll recognize him by that." Recently, a distraught family appeared at the morgue and damaged some doors. When the investigator called 911 and a supervisor to report the incident, the supervisor "later called back and said, 'Are they black? ... They can break the doors and nothing will happen to them with everything going on, because they are black. They'll just say they were upset,' " states the complaint. The death investigator says that she has often been given the responsibility of identifying the bodies of African Americans whose families have been considered "hostile" or "difficult" by office staff. When those families show up at the morgue, she says, "I have been told, 'Go deal with your people,' " "I was livid — furious actually," the woman said in a recent interview with the Free Press. "All these cities are on fire for the Black Lives Matter movement, and here's my staff eating a black penis cake as a joke? That really pushed me over the edge." So she filed a complaint with the EEOC and Macomb County. |

killing man who stole police car
and pointed AR-15 at them Adam Martinez, 36, stole a Denver patrol officer’s car after she responded to a report of a carjacking at a car wash. The officer had left her AR-15 in the front seat and her keys in the ignition as she and a second officer tried to apprehend Martinez. But Martinez got to her car and drove away, according to a letter from Denver District Attorney Beth McCann that cleared the officers of criminal wrongdoing. Martinez then led police on a car chase along 6th Avenue, Federal Boulevard and 8th Avenue as he waved the rifle out the car window. Officers forced his car to crash on West 8th Avenue under an Interstate 25 overpass. After the stolen police car stopped, Martinez pointed the AR-15 at the officers who had chased him, including San officer who was trapped in his car next to the one Martinez had stolen, the letter said. Denver officers Ismael Lopez, Vincent Vasquez and John Allred opened fire, hitting Martinez with 15 bullets. HISPANIC SUSPECT SHOT DEAD IN SELF DEFENSE - TWO OF THREE POLICE OFFICERS ARE HISPANIC |

Passenger On Queens Subway Train NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A woman says she was attacked while trying to film a couple assaulting another passenger on a Queens subway train. With bruising under her eye, a busted lip, and her arms scratched and bruised, the victim told CBS2’s Dave Carlin in an exclusive interview about the violent attack she suffered on her ride home from Manhattan to Queens on a 7 train Monday afternoon. They were both punching me in the face,” she said. The victim is 26 years old and asks we only use her first name, Victoria. She says it began when they roughed up another rider and she began to record the incident. “I wanted to have their picture to give to the cops,” she said. Her video begins with the suspects at the far end of the train car. The man who was punched and had his phone smashed did not appear to know his attackers. “Break that ****,” the man can be heard saying. “Go buy a new one.” The duo then started walking, directing verbal threats at various people, saying “Who else got issues on here?” and “I dare somebody.” Then the woman saw Victoria, saying, “You got an issue? Why are you recording? Why are you recording? Delete it, delete it.” “She threw the first punch, but they both attacked me,” Victoria said. “Everybody ran away.” “No one helped you?” Carlin asked. “My phone went flying,” Victoria said. Victoria grabbed her phone, but the two strangers were not done yet. “They both punched me in the face a few more times and when the doors opened, they ran out of the train,” she said. |

mask speaks from hospital bed NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- Speaking from her hospital bed, the woman shoved to the ground inside a Staples in New Jersey after she asked another customer to pull up her face mask says she plans on pressing charges. Margot Kagan says she was using one of the fax machines inside the store in Hackensack Wednesday afternoon when she noticed the woman using the machine next to her was not wearing a face mask. She says when she asked the other woman to wear her mask -- she cursed at her. "When she started cursing me out I said, 'well you're endangering everyone.' So that's when she took it upon herself to leave her little cube area and come in mine, but she's, face-to-face with me, without the mask on properly," Kagan said. Kagan recently had a liver transplant and uses a cane as she recovers. "I held up my cane so she couldn't go any more forward. I didn't touch her with it. At some point, she grabbed the cane and threw me and it on the floor," Kagan said. Kagan says she broke her knee, which required a steel plate to be put in and has been told by doctors that she won't be able to put weight on her leg for seven to 10 weeks. |

girlfriend arrested on capital
murder charges in death of
4-year-old boy The mother of a 4-year-old boy and her girlfriend have been arrested on capital murder charges in the child's beating death, Fort Worth police said Friday. Shannon Gray, 23, and her girlfriend Reyna Marie Sanchez, 24, each faces a capital murder charge in connection with the death of Gray’s son, Stetson Blackburn. The initial investigation began around 4:35 p.m. on March 19 when officers were called to 3313 Bonaventure Blvd. in response to a 911 call saying a child was unresponsive and not breathing. The child, Stetson Blackburn, was transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center and was pronounced dead two days later after being declared brain dead. Arrest affidavits for the women detail how they beat and repeatedly hit the boy on his body and his head. Family members also told police that they had seen Stetson with bruises in the past, the records say. On March 19, the day Stetson was rushed to the hospital, the Fort Worth Police Crimes Against Children Unit detectives responded to Cook Children’s to interview Gray and Sanchez. Sanchez said Stetson had vomit, food and blood coming from his nose and mouth. She said Stetson “was bleeding from everywhere,” so she put him in a cold shower, the records say. Gray told authorities she gave her son an “ass-whooping” the night before. She said she spanked Stetson with a belt at least 35 to 40 times on the butt and Sanchez told her to hit Stetson in the head, the records say. Gray proceeded to hit Stetson in the head at least 20 times before stopping and putting him in a cold shower. Gray said that Sanchez made Stetson raise his hands above his head as he showered, and when he didn’t dry off fast enough, Sanchez kicked Stetson in the stomach, according to the affidavits. Gray said Stetson “screamed and stiffed up.” And she told Sanchez they needed to take him to the hospital, but Sanchez told her they couldn’t do that, the records say. Gray confessed that Sanchez had abused Stetson on multiple occasions, which included strangling him, hitting him with an open hand and using a belt to hit him in the head. According to the arrest affidavit, Sanchez later admitted that on the night before Stetson became unresponsive, she kicked him in the ribs, and in the stomach three times as hard as she could because he was only “drying off in one spot” after taking a shower. She then admitted to kicking Stetson so hard she hurt her toe. Sanchez also admitted to previous abuse, giving an example that she had lifted Stetson off the ground by his neck, police records show. |

Cruz admitted to engaging in
sexual acts with the body of
13-year-old girl multiple times
knowing she was deceased. BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Recent documents released by the Bakersfield Police Department outline the events that led to the death of a 13-year-old Bakersfield girl. Patricia Alatorre was allegedly raped and murdered by 24-year-old Armando Cruz of Inglewood who she communicated with on social media. During his questioning with police, Cruz admitted to using social media to convinced the girl to meet up with him twice to engage in sexual acts knowing she was only 13. In the messages, he offered her money and threatened to leak private photos of her. During the second encounter, as he drove away with her in the vehicle, she screamed indicating she did not want to go with him. According to the documents, Cruz then forced himself on her as she told him to stop and tried to get away. Cruz held his hand over her mouth and strangled her as he sexually assaulted her for several minutes resulting in her death. The documents say that Cruz believed the girl still may have been alive so he bound her arms and feet with duct tape that he brought with him. He also taped over her mouth and nose after he stuffed a pair of underwear in her mouth with the intention of killing her. He then went on to place her body on a red sleeping bag and head back to his residence in Inglewood, Calif. Police say Cruz stopped on Hwy 99 in the center divider to get rid of Alatorre's cell phone by throwing it in the bushes. Cruz arrived at his residence where he slept in his truck. The documents say, Cruz admitted to engaging in sexual acts with the body multiple times knowing she was deceased. |

Texas city commissioner killed
in gunbattle with police Officers found his girlfriend with severe wounds caused by a knife or machete and her 4-year-old son with a head injury. MISSION, Texas — A Texas city commissioner was fatally shot in an exchange of gunfire with police and a sheriff's deputy who had responded to a domestic disturbance call at his home, authorities said. Officers who responded to the call late Thursday at Sullivan City Commissioner Gabriel Salinas' home in Mission found his 39-year-old girlfriend with severe wounds caused by a knife or machete and her 4-year-old son with a head injury, said Robert Dominguez, the police chief in Mission, which sits along the Mexico border not far from Texas' southern tip. They then encountered Salinas, 39, who opened fire, leading the officers to fire back, Dominguez said. Salinas barricaded himself inside the home and after several hours of failed attempts to contact him, officers sent in a robot that found him dead in a bedroom, the police chief said. “As far as I know right now, it was not a self-inflicted gunshot wound. I think that he died as a result of being hit in the transfer of fire,” with the two Mission officers and a Hidalgo County sheriff's deputy, Dominguez said. The woman was critically wounded but was expected to recover. Her son was treated and released, said Dominguez, who didn't immediately reply to a Saturday phone message seeking further information. He said an autopsy will determine whether Salinas was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. |

Obama’s half-brother rips
‘cold and ruthless’ ex-president A “cold and ruthless” President Obama abandoned his Kenyan family in their greatest hours of need, according to a new tell-all by estranged half brother Malik Obama. “He got rich and became a snob,” Malik, 62, told The Post via Skype from his home in the Kenyan village of Nyang’oma Kogelo. “What I saw was he was the kind of person that wants people to worship him. He needs to be worshiped and I don’t do that. I am his older brother so I don’t do that.” The book, “Big Bad Brother From Kenya,” a self-published memoir which Malik Obama spent 22 years writing, hit Amazon with little fanfare on July 11. In its 435 pages, Malik covers the long and gradual falling out between him and the former President, which culminated in Malik publicly endorsing Donald Trump for president in 2016. |

I saw the video, you talking about hating white cops. You are a disgrace. You should resign.” “Of course I don’t want to be defunded, and I don’t think it is going to fix the problem of racism in America,” she said. “The random attacks on police officers, I think that is terrible, because that could be me.” |
