Ohio-- A man was sentenced to life in prison for killing an
83-year-old in a road rage incident in Independence. Cronie Lloyd,
48, of Cleveland, was found guilty of murder and felonious assault
on Tuesday. He will have the possibility of parole after serving 15
years.The victim, 83-year-old Gary Power, left a nightclub at an Independence hotel in the early-morning hours of Feb. 3. Police said Lloyd followed him into a gas station parking lot and assaulted him. Power died the next day. According to police, the attack stemmed from a minor traffic incident. Tenn. - Memphis Police have made an arrest after a local high school
student was shot and killed in Frayser. September 2, officers
responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of Clifton Ave. Police
told FOX13 they noticed the body of Jack
Luibel, 18, lying in the yard unresponsive. Officers were told
two men fled the scene toward Slocum St. shortly after the
shooting. Memphis Fire Department paramedics made the
scene and pronounced Luibel dead on the scene. Investigators noticed
a cell phone in the center console of his vehicle, which was still
running in the driveway with the driver’s side door still open.MPD revealed Luibel was in communication with a telephone number via the TextNow app. Text messages showed the victim was headed to the 2200 block of Clifton Ave to meet a woman. He was given an address and map of the location. Video shows two suspects walking to the location from the New Hope Christian School in the 3000 block of University. Police obtained a search warrant from TextNow, via Onvoy, LLC. Records revealed the user to be bonst66. Officers got more information that defendant Talas Bonds was wanted for robbery and known to frequent the area near Slocum St. Bond also matched the description of one of the men in the video. September 17, officers went to the area on Slocum St. to located Bonds on an outstanding robbery warrant. Bonds fled the scene on foot but was eventually captured and taken to the homicide office. Bonds agreed to discuss the Luibel homicide and admitted he used the phone number to communicate with the victim. Bonds admitted to MPD that his username was bondst66 and told officers he was one of the suspects in the video. He gave a complete verbal statement on the homicide. - (Black-on-white) |

A Union County man who was found guilty of sexually assaulting a
9-year-old girl multiple times was sentenced to decades in prison
Friday.Angel Flores, 72, of Plainfield, was sentenced to 25 years in state prison, according to a release from the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. Flores was convicted in May of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, officials said. Flores sexually assaulted the girl various times between December 2015 and January 2016, when the two lived in the same multi-family home in Plainfield, Assistant Prosecutor Caroline Lawlor said. Flores would give the girl small quantities of cash, $5 to $10, before the assaults, Lawlor said. Flores, who was known as “Don Benito” to the residents, was an acquaintance of the girl’s family, and was arrested days after the final assault took place, authorities said. “This man her family knew and trusted took her innocence away from her,” Lawlor said during Friday morning’s sentencing hearing. The victim, who is now 13, and several relatives took the stand during the two-week trial and testified about the trauma she endured before a jury convicted him, officials said. |

the Justice Department said.According to prosecutors, 42-year-old New Jersey resident Alexei Saab, who became a naturalized US citizen in 2008, began training in 1999 with the Lebanese Hezbollah, which the US designated as a terrorist organization in 1997. Saab became a member of the Hezbollah branch concerned with foreign operations – such as a 2012 attack on Israeli tourists at an airport in Bulgaria – and since his 2000 arrival to the US, Saab passed information to the group about possible targets in major American cities, such as New York’s Empire State Building, Times Square, bridges, tunnels, and airports. Outside the US, he attempted in 2005 to kill a man suspected of being an Israeli spy, the Justice Department said. “Alexei Saab allegedly used his training to scout possible targets throughout the US,” said New York US Attorney Geoffrey Berman in a statement. “Even though Saab was a naturalized American citizen, his true allegiance was to Hezbollah, the terrorist organization responsible for decades of terrorist attacks that have killed hundreds,” Berman said. |

death of a young woman in Bar Harbor over the weekend. State Police
Major Crimes Unit detectives arrested 21-year-old Jalique
Keene of Bar Harbor Monday. Keene was
charged with murder in connection with the death of 19-year-old Mikaela
Conley of Bar Harbor. Conley was
reported missing Friday. Her body was discovered around noon time on
Saturday in Bar Harbor. Keene was taken into custody at the Bar
Harbor Police Department Monday and transported to the Hancock
County Jail. The State Medical Examiner’s office determined
the death to be a homicide. Police have not yet released a cause of

convicted of raping and killing a former high school classmate
is due to be sentenced. Jalique Keene was captured on
surveillance video carrying the woman over his shoulder as

into an elderly woman's home and sexually forcing himself on her.James Mitchell, 22, is charged with sexual battery, burglary and grand theft of a motor vehicle. According to an arrest report, Mitchell knocked on the victim's home, located on Maple Hollow Court, Sunday night asking for a glass of water. Mitchell initially left after she denied that request. Minutes later, a neighbor alerted the victim that her garage door was open. When she went to check, Mitchell confronted her inside her bedroom doorway. According to the report, the suspect forced the 74-year-old victim onto her bed, breaking her knee brace and causing a cut on her leg. The victim was forced to perform sexual acts for Mitchell before he stole her vehicle. The next day, that same neighbor saw Mitchell return the victim's vehicle and followed him out of the neighborhood. That neighbor contacted deputies who later arrested Mitchell at his apartment complex about a mile away. Mitchell later admitted to the crimes to Sarasota investigators. |

the suspect.The woman claimed the suspect physically and sexually assaulted her as well as threatened her with a firearm. After further investigation, police were able to locate the suspect, 26-year-old Michael Eligisah Watkins, and arrested him Monday afternoon. Watkins was sent to the Newport News City Jail after being charged with two counts each of rape, sodomy, and strangulation; and one count each of abduction, brandishing, and assault. |

Tenn. — A 19-year-old was arrested after police say he’s been
terrorizing a local community.Jamario Dotson was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated sexual battery, aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated rape, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon. The victim in the most recent incident said she was leaving the DMV at 3200 East Shelby Drive Monday morning when a male began following her down the street while asking for her number. She told him no and that’s when she said he grabbed her inappropriately. The woman said as she continued to walk away from the man, he pulled out a gun and tried to pull her into a nearby yard to rape her. She fought back and was eventually able to break free. Several moments later, she said he attacked her again and tried to pull her into a wooded area. The subsequent struggle caused her to fall to the ground at which time the man told her to “give me your money or I will shoot you.” The woman said she complied, giving the man $400 and he let her go. But the incident didn’t end there. The woman said she walked to a nearby KFC for help and was again followed by the man. He began fondling her again and even tried to pull her into the restroom saying he would give her the money back if she had sex with him. Again the woman said she fought him off and then watched as he ran to the Shelby Meadows Apartments. After the incident, the woman said she and a friend she called for help drove through the apartment complex looking for the suspect. When they came upon him, he reportedly recognized the victim, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her. The victim was able to provide a description of the suspect to police. They later identified him as Dotson. On the same day, Dotson was also charged with attempted second-degree murder, attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony in regards to several other cases. On Monday, Sept. 9 a woman said she was robbed in her driveway. Less than an hour later the same man reportedly tried to rob another man outside his home. The suspect in that case ended up firing a shot into the home while three people, including two children, were asleep inside. The following evening a suspect pointed a gun at a woman as she was sitting in her driveway before firing a shot in the air. Thirty minutes later another woman was robbed of her money and jewelry while at home. All of those victims were shown a picture of Dotson and confirmed he was the suspect. In February 2019, WREG reported that Dotson had been shot in the foot after he allegedly tried to rob a man in the 3400 block of Castleman. He was arrested and charged with attempted aggravated robbery. |

(WKRC) — A man charged in a deadly stabbing apparently hurt himself

Deputies saw blood in Aqeel Watson's cell at the Hamilton
County Justice Center Monday night. They pulled a blanket away from
him and found that Watson had pried his own eye out of its
socket. He was taken to UC Medical Center. Watson was
arrested last week for the death of Lamont
Palmer, who was stabbed nearly 50 times. Court papers
say Watson was accused of setting fire to a home in 2005 with
someone inside it. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity. |

arrested after stop leads to human trafficking discovery

Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A traffic stop in Elijay City ended in the
arrest of the driver for human trafficking, police said. On Friday,
Sept. 13 around 1 a.m., a City of Elijay police officer conducted a
traffic stop to investigate a vehicle that failed to dim its
headlights and had no working tag light. Officials say the driver,
identified as 26-year-old Cordarrel William Blandburg, was
driving without a license and had multiple active warrants out of
Clayton County for obstruction of an officer and aggravated assault.
Blandburg told the officer that he was taking his female passenger,
who he said was his fiance, to the hospital for possible seizures.
The officer allowed Blandburg to continue to a nearby hospital so
that the woman could be treated. It's there that police say the
officer discovered the woman was not Blandburg's fiance but instead
what she described as her "owner and enforcer." An
additional investigation led police to the conclusion that the
suspect was participating in human trafficking. |

One of the attempted robbery suspects brandished a handgun and fired shots at the residents before one of the intended robbery victims returned fire. The victims of the attempted robbery were all uninjured, but the three attempted robbery suspects were all shot during the exchange of gunfire and succumbed to their injuries, one on scene and two at a local hospital after being transported." |

The vehicle was later found in the parking lot near Golds Gym, police said, and when officers got to the scene, Puga began running away from them. Monday to charges related to a woman’s fatal 2017 drug overdose,
which prosecutors said was linked to a prostitution ring.Linus Undiandeye, 34, wiped away tears as he pleaded guilty to charges including corrupting another with drugs, promoting prostitution and drug trafficking in a case in which he was originally charged with involuntary manslaughter. Undiandeye is the third person to plead guilty in the investigation into the Dec. 1, 2017 overdose death of an 18-year-old woman. Brandy Stergis, 21, was sentenced last year to one year of treatment in lieu of conviction after she pleaded guilty to an attempted human trafficking charge. Jose Bell, 26, also pleaded guilty last year to promoting prostitution. Bell is currently serving a four-year prison sentence on felonious assault charges out of Lorain County. His sentencing in this case was postponed as Undiandeye’s case made its way through the courts. The trio was charged in the woman’s death after someone dropped her off at University Hospitals on Dec. 1, 2017. The woman tested positive for both cocaine and carfentanil, an extremely potent relative of the opiate fentanyl, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office. |

She told police she was held against her will at two different hotels where she was forced to engage in sexual acts with random men. The victim told police that if she failed to meet a certain financial quota, punishments ranged from verbal abuse, to beatings with a belt, being held under water or in an ice bath in bathtub while being strangled, and burned with a hot wire coat hanger. When officers got to the scene, the found the woman lying in the stairwell bleeding from her mouth and “repeated hysterically that the naked man beat her.” Witnesses told police they heard yelling and saw Houston hitting the woman with the wheelchair. The woman’s caretakers stated that she is unable to stand, walk or use the bathroom without assistance. Hospital staff said she sustained a fracture on her wrist but did not confirm any other injuries. |

County criminal complaint.Larry Joe Foster, 66, of Burnsville is charged with second-degree murder. He faces up to 40 years in prison. According to the charges, just after midnight on September 2, Minneapolis firefighters responded to a fire at the 2600 block of 13th Avenue South in Minneapolis. Inside the home, they put out the fire and immediately found a body, later identified as 60-year-old Daniel Martin Bradley. Firefighters determined the fire started from the kitchen stove and did not impact Bradley, who had "obvious homicidal injuries." Minneapolis police responded and inside the room found a broken walking stick, two broken chair legs and a set of jumper cables, which appeared to be used in the attack. Along the blood trail, police found a bloody butcher knife in the backyard and a cordless power drill covered in blood in a neighbor's back yard. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner determined Bradley suffered 100 blunt-force and sharp-force injuries. The examiner confirmed multiple weapons were used, including a crochet hook, which was found lodged in his chest. The examiner also identified defensive wounds on Bradley's hands. The charges state a fingerprint in blood found on the home's back door matched Foster's right middle finger, identified from a database. Blood samples recovered from the scene also matched Foster's DNA profle in the Minnesota Convicted Offender DNA Database. Once Minneapolis police identified Foster, they learned he was the subject of a missing person case in St. Paul, according to the complaint. Early on September 2, a citizen found an apparently abandonded silver Ford truck with its lights on at Hidden Fall Park. St. Paul police found blood throughout the vehicle as well as a bloody knife and a shirt soaked in blood. A blood trail led to the river, where they found a pair of blood-soaked underwear on the beach. St. Paul police determined Foster was the registered owner and exclusive driver of the truck, but were unable to find him. According to the complaint, surveillance video from Bradley's neighborhood in Minneapolis showed Foster's truck arrive at 9:22 p.m. and park near his home along the sidewalk where investigators later would find the end of the blood trail. More footage showed Bradley's front door opened at 9:37 p.m. and it appeared two people went inside. The front door did not open again. Witnesses reported smelling smoke around 11:40 p.m. After receiving a tip that Foster was at a treatment center, police arrested him on Wednesday, according to the complaint. Officers found he had a long, deep cut on the palm of his left hand that needed 30 stitches. In a police interview, Foster told them he knew Bradley. TOWNSHIP (WJRT) (09/11/19) - A Ferndale man has been charged with
open murder among other charges following a shooting incident over
the weekend in Lapeer County. It all unfolded sometime around 3 a.m.
Sunday.That's when Lapeer County sheriff's deputies say residents at
a home on Hollow Corners Road woke to the sound of around 15 to 20
gunshots. They then noticed a man in their backyard that had been shot
in the back, so they called 911.Police say 29-year-old Nick Palazzolo was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated. But during that time, a deputy was on the way to the scene at the home and noticed some broken glass in the road. "Finding this odd, started to look around and then indicated to dispatch that he had discovered the body of a male individual," said Dryden Township Police Chief Shawn Peters. Jason Stefanski, 35, of Rockford, Michigan, was found shot to death in a ditch. His body was discovered just down the road where Palazzolo was found with a gunshot wound. "Deputy Rhodes went to leave the scene, and upon leaving there he's looking in the roadway west of where the actual body was found, there were grooves in the roadway," said Lapeer County Sheriff Scott McKenna. That indicated to deputies someone had been driving on one rim. So Rhodes followed the tracks eventually up to Wilder road, where he spotted a burgundy SUV. "Deputy Rhodes approaches the door and as he approaches the door, he observes a male that we later find to be Dukes, the suspect in this vehicle," McKenna said. That man, 37-year-old Lydell Dukes, had a gun in his lap at the time. Rhodes called for back up and tried to get Dukes to come out of the car, but instead a police chase began. Deputies eventually arrested Dukes a couple miles north of Lapeer off M-24. Deputies believe the incident was drug related. for committing first degree murder on his
wife.Spencer Sanders II was convicted by a jury on Friday of first degree premeditated murder and attempted sexual assault with use of force likely to cause serious personal injury for crimes that were committed on July 10, 2018. Reports say that Sanders stabbed his wife, Blanka, 17 times in the chest and throat in their home on the 42nd Street in Sarasota. She was found lying face down in the kitchen floor in a pool of blood the next day by her daughter. Physical evidence found at the scene included shoe-prints covered in her blood that were made by Sanders who wearing “OP” flip-flops with a logo on the sole. Other evidence that was collected provided DNA evidence of Sanders semen being found on the back of Blanka’s thigh. Detectives later obtained video surveillance footage that tracked Sanders action 9:30 a.m. until 4:25 p.m. on the day of the crimes. This made it possible to recreate his actions leading up to the time he killed his wife. His sentencing came on Friday immediately after the jury’s verdict. burglary inside his Gwinnett County restaurant.On Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the Create and Bake Restaurant and Coughman's Creamery on the 1900 block of Duluth Highway in unincorporated Lawrenceville. When they went inside, they found several racially-motivated words and symbols spray-painted on the walls and doors. They also found several booth cushions sliced open, broken mirrors and cut wires. The surveillance system was also damaged. A witness told officers that they saw a black Chevy Silverado with no license plate leaving the business. Officers eventually caught up with that truck and noticed several televisions and electronics in the bed and cab of the vehicle. The driver of the truck was identified as 31 year-old Edawn Louis Coughman, the owner of the business. He told them he noticed the damage and called his insurance company but did not call 911. After investigating further, the lead detective sensed something was wrong and Coughman was arrested and his truck was impounded. Inside the truck, officers then found a crow bar used to pry open the back door of his business as well as several cans of black spray paint. Gwinnett County Police say Coughman conjured a premeditated plan to collect insurance money from his damaged business, disguising it as a hate crime, and selling off the undamaged electronics found in his truck. Coughman has been charged with false report of a crime, insurance fraud and concealing a license plate. |

accused of purposely exposing himself at an Evansville business.
Court documents show Lamont Cabell Jr. is banned from

jail early Thursday morning and charged with trespass and indecent
exposure. Police say they were called to a business on Bartlett
Avenue because Cabell knocked on the window to get the attention

kidnapping and raping a woman after he picked her up in Van Nuys

38, faces one count each of kidnapping to commit rape and rape of an
unconscious person, according to the Los Angeles County District
Attorney’s Office. Gomez allegedly picked up the woman from a pub in

for the car-to-car shooting death of a
16-year-old boy on a San Diego freeway nearly 20
years ago — the second time the defendant has been sentenced for the
killing. Phong Huynh, 42, was convicted in May of murder and firearm allegations for the Feb. 13, 2000, slaying of Nghia Tan Pham.
