Man charged with supplying heroin that killed 25-year-old
(White) mom   A
man has been jailed on charges that he sold fentanyl to a mother and
student who later died from overdosing on the drug.Kevin Green, 28, of Atlantic City, is charged with strict liability for a drug-induced death, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said in a news statement. Green allegedly sold fentanyl - a more potent opioid than heroin - to Samantha Moore, of Egg Harbor Township. Moore, a 25-year-old mother and a student at Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC), died Oct. 27, 2018, the same day of the purchase, authorities say. An autopsy determined she died from fentanyl toxicity. Moore was arrested in Absecon on an unrelated charge before authorities charged him with Moore’s death. He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility before a detention hearing scheduled for Monday. - (Black-on-white) |

spot in Clearwater, police say    CLEARWATER,
Fla. (WFLA) — A man was shot and killed after an argument with
another man over a parking spot in Clearwater Saturday night, the
police department said. Police said a verbal dispute took
place between Derek Omasta, 32,
and Deshon Powers, 26, at 1133 Grove St. around 11 p.m.Police said the dispute over a parking spot escalated when Powers retrieved a gun from inside a house and shot Omasta. “All of a sudden, right when I turned my head, I seen (sic) him shoot the gun really fast. And I seen (sic) the guy like get shot right here and then he falls. That was like the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” said the suspect’s roommates (sic) and friend, Scarlett Knott who witnessed the shooting. Omasta died shortly after being transported to Morton Plant Hospital. “That man should have just minded his business. Once we told him that was not our car he should’ve just minded his business, go find the owner of the car and go yell at them,” said Powers’ girlfriend, Mersades Katz. Powers is charged with first-degree murder and was taken to the Pinellas County Jail. - (Black-on-white) |

her during altercation
 VICTORVILLE,
Calif. (VVNG.com) — Police identified the suspect who attempted to
murder a sheriff’s deputy with her own service weapon.on September 4, 2019, Ari Young, 21, a resident of Victorville, was causing a disturbance at his home in the 13100 block of Cabazon Court in Victorville, prompting his mom to call the police on her own son. According to a sheriff’s news release, at approximately 8:25 am, a distraught female called sheriff’s dispatch yelling “Oh my God, oh my God, send the police, I need my son removed from my home.” First arriving deputy, Meagan Forsberg, arrived on scene and contacted the suspect Ari Young, outside. According to the release, “Young became combative with Forsberg and began assaulting her, repeatedly punching her in the head and face. Forsberg fell to the ground during the assault and a deputy involved shooting occurred. Young grabbed Forsberg’s duty weapon and shot at her. As Forsberg ran toward cover, Young continued firing the handgun at her.” Additional deputies arrived within a minute of the first shots that were fired. “Young who was still armed with Forsberg’s weapon, ignored commands to drop the weapon and a second deputy involved shooting occurred,” officials said. Young was struck an unknown number of times by gunfire and was transported to a local area hospital. His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. Officials said Forsberg was not struck by gunfire but was transported to a local hospital with injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. - (Black-on-white) |

man hurled a half-gallon of milk at a cop while officers stood guard
at a Bronx fire scene, the NYPD said Thursday.The incident happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday after cops had evacuated an apartment building at 1454 Grand Concourse as firefighters battled a blaze, according to the NYPD. The crowd became rowdy and a man chucked a carton of milk at one of the officers — who quickly ducked out of the way. A short 20-second video posted to Instagram, with the word art “F— the [police emoji],” shows the man toss the carton at the cops. The cop can be seen stoically staring back at the camera, his uniform speckled with milk, before the clip ends. Officers chased the man, but he managed to slip away, cops said. |

California (KSEE/KGPE) – The Tulare County Sheriff’s make arrest in
the death of local dairy farmer 56-year-old Anthony
Dragt. Tulare Sheriff Boudreaux said they arrested 26-year-old Jorge Rivera. Sheriff Boudreaux said Rivera does have a criminal history including time spent in prison. It happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Avenue 352 and Road 100. The victim was identified as 56-year-old Anthony Dragt. He died near his home just north of Visalia. Detectives said he was shot several times and died on scene. Employees said Dragt owned the dairy farms in this area, where several of his them lived. They said it’s tragic news, and described him as a good boss. |

-- A Milwaukee woman on Tuesday, Sept. 3 spoke with FOX6 News after
a terrifying attack. She was on her way home on Friday, Aug. 30 when
a man pulled her to the ground inside her apartment building. She
said she believes she was followed by her attacker early Friday. She
screamed for help, and believes that may have saved her life."I really didn't think it was ever going to happen to me," she said. Her walk home from Brady Street turned terrifying. As she entered her stairwell, a man pulled her from behind. "I opened my door, and when I was about two or three steps into my building, a hand came over my mouth," she said. "It's like, a hand comes over your mouth, and it's like, what's next? Am I getting killed?" She fought back and called 911 as her attacker tried to sexually assault her. "I just kept screaming as loud as I could," she said. A neighbor heard those cries and ran to her. "It could've been so much worse had someone in my building not come to help me," she said. The man got away, but surveillance cameras captured his face. Investigators and the victim shared the photo, and days later, there was an arrest. |

Ala. (WTVM) - A Valley man has been placed under arrest after
assaulting his neighbor before attempting to rape her. Officers were
dispatched to the 1400 block of 27th St. just before 6:30 a.m.
on Sept. 2 in reference to a burglary and an assault.Once on scene, the officers spoke with a female victim who was bleeding from several head wounds. She reported that she was asleep in bed when she was awoken by a sharp pain in her head. When she opened her eyes, she saw her neighbor, later identified as 29-year-old Corderell St. George, standing over her holding a hammer and groping her. She was able to take the hammer away from him and the pair began to fight throughout the apartment until she was able to escape to another neighbor’s house to call police. The victim was taken to EAMC-Lanier for treatment of her injuries before being transferred to a Columbus hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time. St. George was arrested and charged with burglary, attempted rape, sexual abuse and assault. |

Police have released a third round of images of a man suspected of
choking a woman and then trying to sexually assault her in
Manhattan.The new photos, along with video footage, show the suspect, wearing dark pants and a blue button-down shirt, boarding a bus. He was seen in a similar shirt in photos released by cops shortly after the June 29 attack, which show him walking near the scene of the crime. Investigators believe the suspect approached the 20-year-old victim near Stuyvesant Oval in Stuy Town from behind at about 5 a.m. and began choking her until she passed out. Once she was unconscious, he attempted to sexually assault her, officials said at the time. The creep was thwarted when a bystander noticed the attack and intervened, shouting for him to stop, sources said. |

sexually assault woman from Phoenix bus stop Police
say Antonio Bradley, 31, told officers he wanted to take the
woman to an alleyway and have sex with her against her will.
PHOENIX — A man is facing felony kidnapping and attempted sexual
assault charges after trying to grab a woman who was waiting at a
Phoenix bus stop. Police were called to the area of 15th
Avenue and Pierce Street just before 9 a.m. Monday. Officers say
they found a woman who was clearly distraught. She was described as
"physically shaking" and holding back tears. The woman told police a man, later identified as 31-year-old Antonio Luis Bradley, walked up to her while she was waiting at a bus stop and grabbed her by the arm. Bradley reportedly demanded she go with him and tried to drag her away. The woman said she was going to call the police but Bradley said he wasn't afraid of the police, according to court documents. He continued to try to force her to go with him and she resisted. Police say en route to the precinct, Bradley asked the officers if they wanted to know what happened. He reportedly told officers he wanted to take the woman to an alleyway and have sex with her against her will. He said he planned to carry out the assault on a mattress in an alleyway. Officers found the mattress near 13th Avenue and Taylor Street, according to court documents. Bradley had a felony warrant for failure to appear on a criminal trespassing charge in Maricopa County and a misdemeanor warrant from Phoenix Police Department for failure to appear for shoplifting. |

A Covington woman accused of helping two others hide the body of her
boyfriend after he’d been shot to death has pleaded guilty in
connection with the case, according to Jefferson Parish court
records.Stefanie Enciso, 33, pleaded guilty Thursday to being an accessory after the fact to second-degree murder in the death of Francisco Nieves, 20. Judge Frank Brindisi of 24th Judicial District Court in Gretna suspended a five-year prison sentence and ordered her to serve three years of active probation, court records show. Sheriff’s Office investigators accused Archie Armstrong, 22, of fatally shooting Nieves at a Marrero apartment on Jan. 1, 2018. Enciso and Vernell Wilson, 24, Armstrong’s brother, were accused of hiding evidence, cleaning up the crime scene and using Enciso’s vehicle to ditch Nieves’ body. Relatives were initially uncomfortable with the relationship because of the 11-year age difference and the fact that Enciso had met Nieves while she was assigned as his counselor when he was being held as a teenager at the Jefferson Parish juvenile detention center. Nieves and Enciso denied there had been any romantic involvement until he turned 18. |

in the slaying of a 23-year-old woman whose body was found in
January along a mid-Michigan roadway.The Lansing State Journal reports 26-year-old Julian Revilla is awaiting extradition after being charged with murder and felony weapons violations in the fatal shooting of Suzann Fedewa. Authorities announced the charges Tuesday and say they're seeking to bring Revilla to Michigan. Fedewa's body was found Jan. 3 in Eaton County's Delta Township. Investigators say Revilla and Fedewa knew each other, but they haven't released details of what happened. Revilla is at the London Correctional Institution for failing to comply, having a firearm in a vehicle and receiving stolen property. He's been imprisoned there since May. |

Eva Pena, 41, was arrested at the chain’s store in Yonkers around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after she was seen on store surveillance placing six pieces of clothing into her purse, the sources said. Pena — a cop in Bronx public housing who made $107,809 in 2018, according to the nonprofit Empire Center — then allegedly tried to walk out of the store without paying. She was stopped before she could leave and held for police. Yonkers Police Department officers arrested her on charges of petit larceny. |

TULLYTOWN, Pa. (CBS) — A former Catholic priest from Bucks County is
facing child sex abuse charges. The allegations came after Francis
Trauger was transferred to several different church across
the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.Saint Michael The Archangel Church is the last church Trauger worked as a priest before his priesthood was taken away from him by the Catholic Church. It’s also where authorities say the victims were sexually abused by Trauger for years. The 74-year-old, a former Philadelphia Archdiocese priest, said nothing when leaving his arraignment Tuesday in Bristol Township, Bucks County. But one of his alleged victims has plenty to say. “You robbed a lot of life out of a good kid. I was a good kid. And I’m gonna watch you be brought to justice now,” Michael McDonnell said. “I am very elevated the wheels of justice are moving forward towards the predators.” The Bucks County District Attorney says Trauger preyed on two altar boys — ages 11 and 12 — at Saint Michael The Archangel near Levittown. Authorities say Trauger molested the boys in the church sacristy, located behind the altar between 1993 and 2003. “He abused his position of power in the name of God and the Catholic Church to molest these young men,” Weintraub said. |

immigrants ALBANY — The state Senate’s top Republican has introduced a bill that would protect Department of Motor Vehicles employees from legal retribution, should they refuse licenses to undocumented (CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIEN) immigrants. The controversial “Green Light Law,” passed by the state Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Andrew Cuomo on June 17, has sparked outrage from county clerks across the state — some of whom have filed legal challenges in federal court arguing that the law conflicts with federal policy. The bill from Senate Minority Leader John Flanagan (R-Suffolk) would permit a DMV employee to hire an attorney to defend himself should the state take civil action against them for refusing to administer the licenses. It would also safeguard the employee from being fired if they acted in good faith complying with federal law. |

LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A man was charged with two counts of
first-degree murder after he fatally shot two women in south St.
Louis because "he had never felt welcome there," according
to official documents.Police said Anthony Liston, 30, admitted to stealing a Jeep Cherokee and driving to the 4100 block of Michigan. He told police he kicked the door of a residence in the neighborhood on Thursday and then shot 39-year-old Lisa Georgieff in the chest once she answered. Liston then entered the residence and shot Kara Ball, 34, in the head and groin and then struck a man in the face with the end of his rifle, according to police. Liston left the scene and drove to a parking lot in the 100 block of Cherokee where police said he attempted to enter two vehicles when Spire workers saw him and stopped him until police arrived. During the interview, police said Liston admitted to shooting Georgieff and Kara because "he had never felt welcome there." Georgieff was pronounced dead at the scene. Woodway police arrested Obiri Thursday evening for a similar incident that happened in July. Detectives believe Obiri frequented the Franklin Ave. Walmart and would follow women around the store. Waco police said he might have committed similar acts that were unreported. Police asked anyone who may have gone through a similar circumstance to report the incident to the Waco Police Department. 19-year-old mother to death Sunday night and injured a man.Police responded to reports of a stabbing around 7 p.m. on Venus Place. Police found a male victim with a stab wound to his arm and a female victim with a stab wound to her neck. Ta'Lela Fontia Stevenson died last night at Grady Hospital. Stevenson just gave birth to a baby girl less than a month ago. Gary Banks, 18, was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the stabbing started with a fight between several girls outside the residence in the driveway. The 14-year-old has been charged with felony murder. Police said there was an ongoing dispute between the families in two homes. On Sunday, Simmons, a mother of five, told Holloway that three girls were bullying her 14-year-old daughter. "She came home and told her sisters, and they just came out to say, 'Leave her alone,'" Simmons said. Police said shortly after, there was a fight and Stevenson was stabbed. federal prison for attempting to get a chemical weapon and use it to
kill his wife. OAKLAND — A former child actor and Yahoo employee was sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison last week for trying to acquire a chemical weapon through the Dark Web in a failed plot to kill his estranged wife. Sanford “Bemi” Faison, 42, was sentenced to 71 months, along with five years federal probation, and ordered to pay minor fines and fees. Faison was charged in January with attempting to acquire a chemical that’s capable of causing death to someone who simply touches it. He wrote in online postings that his plan was to leave it somewhere for his wife to come into contact with it, and that murdering her was “the only way” to get full custody of his child. U.S. District Judge Haywood S. Gilliam sentenced Faison on Aug. 26. Prosecutors redacted the name of the chemical Faison attempted to acquire, describing it only as, “a colorless, volatile, flammable and highly toxic liquid” that is “easily absorbed through the skin and may produce life-threatening systemic effects with only a single drop.” Faison was caught because federal authorities saw his Dark Web post where he sought the chemical, according to court records. In a sentencing memo, prosecutors described Faison’s actions as “premeditated, detached, and almost analytical.” The motive, prosecutors say, was a contentious divorce. “He took precautionary and purposeful steps to avoid legal responsibility for his crime including, conducting his transaction in an anonymous portion of the Internet, using an alias, encrypted messaging, cryptocurrency, a ‘cut-out’ or innocent third party to take initial possession of the purported chemical, and a ‘drop’ address,” assistant U.S. Attorney Phillip Kearney wrote in a memo, which asked Gilliam to impose the 71-month sentence. According to court records, Faison grew up in New York City, the son of parents who were heavily involved in the Black National Theatre. He was a child actor, appearing in live performances and scoring two televised roles. He appeared in single episodes of Ghostwriter, a mystery show for kids, as well as the Cosby Show, where he portrayed Rudy Huxtable’s very nervous boyfriend. |

Felix opened fire on the officers with an AR-15 rifle
just as they were responding to his mother's home for a domestic
violence call on Oct. 8, 2016.Lesley Zerebny and Jose "Gil" Vega were with two other officers when they arrived to the house in the 2700 block of North Cypress Road at 12:10 p.m. They tried getting Felix to come out of the home but instead he shot through the closed front door. "I would describe this as an ambush," Riverside County District Attorney Michael Hestrin said days after the murders. "Those police officers walked into a trap." The shooting also wounded a third officer and led to a 12-hour standoff involving multiple law enforcement agencies. Felix didn't come out of the home until authorities deployed chemical agents inside. "Almost immediately after introducing chemical agents inside the residence, the suspect emerged out the back door," Riverside Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Ray Wood said following Felix's arrest. Zerebny was just returning to work after being on maternity leave when she was killed. Palm Springs Police Chief Bryan Reyes described her as a "wonderful, young, dedicated" officer who left behind a husband and 4-month-old daughter. Vega was a 35-year veteran of the Palm Springs Police Department who was set to retire the same year he was fatally shot. A father of eight, Vega was working an overtime shift the day of the shooting. On Wednesday, the department said his daughter, Vanessa Vega, was escorted by officers to her first day of 7th grade. Bessemer man, police said Friday.Stephaughn Jerrod Joseph is being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond on charges of capital murder, theft and burglary in the killing of David Clifton Harper. Harper was found dead in his home late Tuesday morning by Bessemer police officers and determined he was the victim of a homicide, according to Bessemer police Lt. Christian Clemons. Ellis had been wanted for first-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the fatal shooting of Lincoln Williams, Jr., 18, of Warrenton. Ellis is being held at the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center without bond, Hartman said. Two people, both residents of Prince William County, were arrested last week in connection with Williams' death. Lucretia Ann Robinson, 54, of Manassas, was charged Thursday, Aug. 29, with conspiracy to commit robbery. On Wednesday, Aug. 28, Daniel Martin Farmer II, 23, of Nokesville, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Williams' death. "It's believed at this point that they conspired to rob the victim," Hartman said Friday morning of Robinson and Farmer. "In the commission of that robbery, [Williams] was shot, resulting in his death." Both Farmer and Robinson are also being held without bond at the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center. Officers responded to Williams’ home at about 10:42 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26. They found Williams bleeding heavily from his head. A trail of blood led out to an SUV parked in the driveway, according to affidavits filed in the case. Responding deputies administered first aid, including CPR, but Williams' condition worsened. He was transported to Fauquier Hospital, where he died soon after arriving, Hartman said. Preliminary autopsy results indicated Williams died from an apparent gunshot wound, Hartman said. was accused of sexual assault shows his accuser struggling and
pulling away from the ex-MSU star as he attempts to pull her back
into a motel room.Cleaves was acquitted of 4 sexual assault charges by a jury on August 20. The surveillance video, which was played in court but not allowed to be broadcast while the trial was ongoing, was taken outside of the Knights Inn Motel in Grand Blanc. The struggle, prosecutors say, took place between 1:30AM and 2:00AM. It was released today by the Wayne County Prosecutor's office through a public records request. The first clip shows Cleaves’ accuser walking away from the motel partially nude, followed closely by Cleaves in pursuit. Cleaves is seen wearing only socks. The video shows Cleaves grab the woman, who we are not identifying, spin her around and pull her back towards the room she just tried to leave. She resists, bending her knees and trying to pull away. The video has no audio. Colleen Dowdall, a resident of the Knights Inn Motel on September 15, said she witnessed the struggle and testified during Cleaves’ criminal trial. “She looked at me and she said: ‘Help me, help me, help me.’ And I had the phone in my hand and I told her I’m on the phone right now calling the police,” she said. “I looked Mateen in the eyes, he didn’t say one word." 13 minutes later, Cleaves accuser is seen on video again, this time running from the former MSU star who can be seen chasing her, then grabbing her with both arms and pulling her back to the room again. The struggle continues until she ultimately falls to the ground. Seconds later, she is seen trying to pull away again. Once more, Cleaves pulls her back, wrapping both arms around her waist and pulling her back to the room. Dowdall testified that she spoke to Cleaves’ accuser that night. “She said he got on top of her,” Dowdall said in court, “she couldn’t fight him off and she just laid there.” Cleaves’ attorneys maintained during trial that the sex was always consensual and that the video showed him Cleaves trying to protect the partially nude woman when he pulled her back into the room. Jurors ultimately sided with the former MSU star, deliberating for less than 3 hours before acquitting him of all charges. In an e-mailed statement, Cleaves' attorney Frank Manley said the video was irrelevant. "The video was presented in a Court of Law. A Jury found Mr. Cleaves Not Guilty of all charges," Manley wrote. It alleged that Willis Jr., while in Multnomah County on or about May 27, 2007, unlawfully and knowingly, by forcible compulsion, engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim and that he unlawfully and knowingly by means of forcible compulsion subjected her to sexual contact by touching multiple sexual intimate parts of her body. The indictment also alleges that Willis Jr. used or threatened to use a weapon. On Feb. 25, 2019, Willis Jr. was identified as the perpetrator based on DNA samples, according to the indictment. Pennsylvania, after the child's father said a rideshare driver
abducted his daughter on Saturday evening, according to police
documents and a news release. Paul Johnson said he was riding in a car with Lyft and Uber stickers with his daughter and a friend, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Allegheny County police. Johnson said that when he got out of the car and went to get his daughter out of the car seat, the driver drove away with the toddler, the complaint said. widow to reconsider parole for Herman Bell, who was
convicted of killing her husband and another NYPD officer nearly 50
years ago.The court wrote in a ruling dated Thursday that Diane Piagentini did not have legal standing to challenge the parole board’s decision to spring the onetime Black Revolutionary Army soldier who killed Officers Joseph Piagentini and Waverly Jones in 1971. “As the inmate/parolee and the board are the only parties to a parole determination, and the board cannot challenge its own determination, the inmate/parolee is the only person with standing to challenge … parole,” the court wrote. Bell was sprung in April 2018 after serving (only) more than 40 years. Bell, Anthony Bottom and Albert Washington were convicted of luring Piagentini and Jones to a Harlem housing project with a bogus 911 call in 1971 and then assassinating them. Bell was convicted in 1975, and had appeared before the board on seven occasions since 2004. He was rejected each time. Instagram follow nearly landed a 22-year-old man accused of stabbing
and killing a real estate developer last summer behind bars as he
awaits trial.(Black) Michael White is facing third-degree murder charges in the July 12, 2018, death of Sean Schellenger near Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square. On Friday, White returned to court over what Philadelphia District Attorney's Office spokesman Cameron Kline called concerns over White's "social media activity." At Friday's bail hearing, prosecutors said White attempted to follow Schellenger's brother, Justin, on his personal Instagram account on Tuesday, which could have violated a no-contact order that is a term of his bail. The defense argued that
White had no intention of following Justin Schellenger. It's possible White got a suggestion to follow Justin Schellenger but that he had no recollection of it and didn't intentionally seek out the follow, the defense said. White also said there was an unknown log-in on his device that he didn't recognize. Judge Glenn Bronson gave White the benefit of the doubt and decided to not rescind bail. He suggested White stay off Instagram for a while. There will be a zero-tolerance policy moving forward. White remained out on bail as he awaits trial, which is scheduled to start in October. Last year, White's lawyers called the case a "confluence of race and class," citing alleged disparaging racial remarks Schellenger made during the confrontation. According to White's attorney, Dan Stevenson, Schellenger said, "I'm going to beat the black off you" before the fight near tony Rittenhouse Square turned bloody. A toxicology report later determined that 37-year-old Schellenger had a blood alcohol level of .199, more than double the legal limit to drive, and tested positive for cocaine. Last year, White's lawyers asked Municipal Court Judge Charles Hayden to drop the third-degree murder charges against White. "This was a situation where a rich, white man using cocaine ... was in the process of taking White to the ground," Stevenson said. "It was not an aggressive move on White's part at all." Hayden denied the request, but agreed to remove White off house arrest at that time. "This young man does seem to be someone who is going to follow the rules," Hayden said. Schellenger's family praised the decision and thanked the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office. His mother, Linda Schellenger, said justice had been served. Third-degree murder carries a possible maximum sentence of 20 to 40 years. White is also charged with voluntary manslaughter and possessing an instrument of crime. Witness statements made during last fall's hearing described a verbal argument gone horribly wrong. Schellenger had been out partying with friends and was traveling in a black Mercedes when the incident unfolded. Earlier in the night, Schellenger had bumped into Philadelphia restaurateur William Jordan outside Rogue. They jumped into Jordan's Mercedes and were heading down Chancellor Street toward 17th Street when traffic came to a stop. For reasons not yet revealed in court, Schellenger got out of Jordan's car and exchanged words with the driver of a car that was idling in front of them. White, who was working as a delivery man that night, road up on his red bicycle and "inserted himself" in the conversation, witness Erik Peterson, a server at a nearby restaurant, said. Neither Peterson nor Jordan heard what happened next, but both witnesses said White and Schellenger engaged, first verbally and then physically. Jordan said he heard White yell "Do you want this? You don't want this." Schellenger advanced toward White, both Peterson and Jordan said in court. The former wrestler lowered his head and shoulders and grabbed White by the waist, lifting his feet off the ground. "It looked his like he wanted to drop him in a wrestling move," Jordan said. Jordan screamed for the two to stop fighting when he saw White retrieve a 6-inch black steel knife from his backpack. Jordan will never know if Schellenger heard him. He continued to advance and tackled White to the ground as the knife came down into Schellenger's back. Wounds were later found in his back ribs, left lung and aorta, according to the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office. When it was over, White stood up, Jordan said. The knife was still in his hand. "[White] looked shocked," Jordan, Schellenger's friend of 10 years, said in court. White and Jordan looked at each other for several seconds, Jordan said, before the 21-year-old ran down Chancellor Street. In the coming days, the Morgan State University student turned himself into police and cooperated with the district attorney's office. He even led them to his knife, Stevenson said. Greg Thompson, a spokesman for White's family, said, the young man carried a weapon for protection because he often worked late into the night. Pa. (CBS) — A Chester man has been charged with murder after
prosecutors say he ran over two women, killing one, at a Tinicum
Township gas station. The Delaware County District Attorney’s Office
announced the arrest of 36-year-old Daniel Williams on
Friday.Prosecutors say Williams struck 26-year-old Shantel Harmon with his pickup truck and then ran her over again at the Sunoco Service Station located at 15 Industrial Highway shortly before 9 p.m. on Aug. 22. Authorities say surveillance video showed Harmon running through the parking lot toward the front of the gas station screaming before Williams hit her with his truck. Williams then backed up and drove forward into the store while running Harmon over and hitting a second woman in the process. Williams then fled the scene. A witness followed Williams into Chester while providing a description and the truck’s tag number to police, prosecutors say. When officers arrived in the area, they discovered Williams’ truck parked in an alley on the 500 block of East 8th Street. The truck had heavy front-end damage with blood on the passenger side, prosecutors say. Williams was apprehended in the area, where he was hiding under a vehicle. |

CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City Fire Department firefighter was arrested
and charged with assault after a woman suffered serious injuries in
a road rage incident Tuesday morning in Raytown, according
to court records.Raytown police said in a Facebook post that the incident happened just after 7 a.m. when officers responded to East 59th Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard on a disturbance. Witnesses told police the disturbance stemmed from a case of road rage between the victim and a male suspect. Pleaze Robinson, of Kansas City, Missouri, was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault in connection with the incident, Jackson County prosecutors said. KCFD confirmed that Robinson is a firefighter in the department. According to court records, the woman told police that Robinson, 52, grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground and assaulted her. Another witness told police that Robinson allegedly "body slammed" her onto the pavement and struck her at least 30 times with his fist, according to records. |

accusations against the Diocese of Brooklyn that they suffered sexual
abuse by clergy and other church employees when
they were children.The two accusers filed suit in Brooklyn Supreme Court on Thursday, the latest in a wave of sex abuse lawsuits brought against the Diocese of Brooklyn and other organizations since the Child Victims Act went into effect on Aug. 14. Since then, according to court records, at least 47 alleged victims have filed suit against the Diocese of Brooklyn in Brooklyn and Bronx courts. As for the latest suits filed in Brooklyn, in one of the cases a 74-year-old victim identified in court papers as J.D. said that he endured abuse by Father Sylvester Marsh of the St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in the early 1950s and that the abuse began when J.D. was only 7 years old. J.D. says Marsh, who according to court papers died in 1984, abused him at summer sleepaway camps and on the New York City subway during day trips. |

the pair plotted to set off explosives in New York. They researched how to make car bombs and visited Home Depot in Queens to browse for bomb-building materials with a woman they knew as “Mel” — who was actually an undercover agent who caught them on tape talking about their murderous fantasies. “Noelle, Mel and I discussed the need to prepare for jihad,” Siddiqui told Brooklyn federal Judge Sterling Johnson Jr., reading from a prepared written statement. The two women taught each other chemistry and electrical skills that could be used to build bombs — drawing inspiration from terror attacks launched on US soil like the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. In a December 27, 2014, meeting, the women also discussed the possibility of attacking the funeral for NYPD officer Rafael Ramos, who was fatally shot alongside partner Wenjian Liu while they sat in their patrol car in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The two would-be bombers were blatant about their support for terrorist groups abroad, court papers state, gleefully watching online videos of a suicide bombing and of ISIS fighters beheading Syrian soldiers. “Why we can’t be some real bad bitches?” Velentzas said in one meeting as she took a knife from her bra and showed Siddiqui and the informant how to stab someone. On one occasion, Velentzas showed the informant her phone, which had a photo of Osama bin Laden — who she called one of her heroes — set as her screen pic. Siddiqui, meanwhile, had been in repeated contact with members of al Qaeda in the Arabian peninsula, according to court papers, and was close with a prominent figure within the group. Siddiqui also tried her hand at gruesome terrorist poetry in which she called for readers to engage in violence and find truth “through fists and sl it throats.” “Velentzas and Siddiqui were intent on waging violent jihad here in the United States, researching at length historical terrorist attacks on US soil, educating themselves on how to turn propane tanks into explosive devices, and dreaming up plans to kill Americans on our own turf,” FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge William Sweeney said in a news release.
