times during robbery   KANSAS
CITY, Mo. — An 18-year-old Kansas City man is facing federal charges
in the shooting of a driver for zTrip taxi service earlier this
month. (worthless, fatherless, soulless, black demon) Derron D. Nevels is charged with interference with commerce by threats, violence or robbery and with using a firearm during a crime of violence. At about 8:35 p.m. on Dec. 4, the victim was found in the 900 block of Benton Boulevard suffering from approximately 20 gunshot wounds to her upper body, police said. Family members identified the shooting victim as 53-year-old Teresa Meitl. “They had to remove her spleen, wire her jaw shut, work on her liver, set her arm,” Aponte said as her voice trailed off. “From what I’m hearing they removed full bullets from her. Man accused of beating disrobed woman with tire iron - not the
behavior of a gentleman MEMPHIS,
Tenn. — A local man was arrested after allegedly beating a woman
with a tire iron. Police received a call from the Regional Medical
Center on December 22 after a woman showed up with severe injuries.
The woman said Niekii Jones, 43, came into her room at the
Cascade Motel on Highway 51, put a gun to her neck and told her “If
you scream, I will kill you.” Jones then told her to undress and
began beating her with a tire iron while on the bed. The victim told
police the man then struck her across the face with his fists. Jones
was arrested on Thursday and charged with aggravated assault. |

Bernardino Caretaker Arrested After Allegedly Using Stun Gun to
Abuse Mentally Disabled Adult A
caretaker accused of using a stun
gun to abuse a mentally disabled adult was arrested
in San Bernardino Wednesday. The caretaker, identified as
52-year-old Dewaina Cunningham, was taken into custody
following an investigation into a report of physical and mental
abuse at an adult board and care home. Surveillance video recorded
in November shows Cunningham using a stun gun to mentally intimidate
and physically assault the unidentified victim. Detectives
interviewed Cunningham and arrested her on suspicion of dependent
adult abuse. Cunningham had worked at the home for about one year
and was responsible for the care of dependent adults. |

Texas Teen Beaten Unconscious After Suspicious Fender Bender -

Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A North Texas teenager is recovering from a
brutal beating that left him bloodied and unconscious, lying on the
shoulder of Highway 287 in Midlothian. The beating Tuesday evening
followed a minor fender bender with another driver. The crash came
minutes after the teen got cash from a Chase bank ATM.Police don’t
believe the crash was a coincidence.“I thought ‘it was his fault, so
I would assume he would have walked over and been like, ‘I’m
sorry’,” says 16-year-old Alex Ander.
“He walked up cursing and screaming at me. I’m scared ya
know. It’s Texas. It’s an open carry state. You don’t know who’s
carrying and what could happen if somebody’s mad.” Alex doesn’t remember much about the beating he took that left him with stitches in his knee, a bruised face and bloodshot eye, but he says he cannot forget the face of his attacker. He described a heavy-set man in his mid 40s, with a “belly,” wearing dark jeans and a jacket. He described his hair as short and “spiky,” and he had a thin mustache. Alex says the man spoke with a thick Spanish accent. |

Columbia man charged in connection with the shooting death of a
38-year-old man on Sunday.Garland Wisley, Jr. has been charged with second- degree murder and armed criminal action in relation to the death of John Albers. Investigators were called to a home in the 200 block of Sarazen Drive in the Fairway Meadows subdivision east of Columbia Sunday morning. When they arrived on the scene shortly after 7 a.m., they discovered Albers, unresponsive, man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later. State Police have identified the suspect in a fatal shooting in Gray
and are seeking public assistance to locate him. An arrest warrant

Lee Lewis III, 24 for the murder of Gary
Medlin that occurred during a robbery on Wednesday at the
A&B Quick Stop in the Gray community of Knox County. Lewis
stands 6'0" tall, weighs 160 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

considered to be armed and dangerous and currently wanted
out of Mississippi for a probation violation warrant. He has known
connections to Michigan and Mississippi. Kentucky State Police

police officer being dragged about 50 feet by a fleeing car, which
prompted a chase that involved several
accidents. Police say four teenagers skipped out on a
bill at Applebee's on Route 3 in Clifton around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Restaurant staff were able to detain one of them, but the other
three fled on foot toward a nearby Stop and Shop. Officers responded
and searched the area, where they found a car driving the wrong way
near the entrance/exit to the Clifton Commons. They stopped the car
and began questioning the two women inside, and that's when
the driver allegedly hit the gas with the officer's arm still
inside the vehicle.(details of 'Black toad's wild ride') The suspects, identified as 19-year-old Chante Royal and 18-year-old Jasmine Ramsey, were arrested. Nearly $1M In Kickback Fraud Scheme  DELAWARE
COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) – More than 40 former employees of a human
services nonprofit in Delaware County have been charged in
connection to an alleged overtime rigging and kickback scheme.
Forty-one employees – including four supervisors – at the Elwyn
Organization are accused of stealing nearly $1 million from the
company over a 21-month time period. The (black) supervisors
charged have been identified as 40-year-old Tyloneous Wilson,
34-year-old Karriemah Williams, 36-year-old Lakiea Gay, and
28-year-old Terrance Chatman. Police say the alleged scheme
happened at 10 facilities throughout Delaware County. According to
the criminal complaint, the supervisors would edit their employees’
time sheets and input extra overtime, but would not require the
employees to work the extra hours. In return, the employees and
supervisors would split a portion of the extra pay. |

(FOX 5 Atlanta) - Katrina Taylor-Parks, the deputy chief of
staff for former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, collapsed in
federal court while the judge announced her sentence as part of the
Atlanta City Hall bribery scandal. A nurse removed Taylor-Parks from
the courtroom in a wheelchair. Medics were checking her out. In 2018
she pleaded guilty in federal court to a bribery conspiracy.
Her sentencing has been delayed, but the judge intends to sentence
her to 21 months in prison for conspiracy to commit bribery. Inside

Wichita, has been sentenced to 570 months in prison. On
December 3, 2018, a jury found Reed guilty of 19 crimes. Those
crimes included rape, kidnapping, human trafficking, commercial
sexual exploitation of a child, possession of marijuana and
possession of methamphetamine. Reed's youngest victim
was 17 years old. Bennett said Reed started a
business using Facebook, Backpage.com and a cellphone app that
created multiple phone numbers to promote his music. He then used

Monday and allegedly left the newborn in the bowl.Emmanuella Osei, 23, gave birth to the baby boy in the bathroom of a Warwick Township group home where she. Minutes prior, she called her supervisor to relieve her at work because she was in pain and shortly after that, advised her to call 911 as she couldn’t hold the pain anymore. Osei, who came from Ghana to live with her uncle in Reading in May 2018, told police she was “afraid to touch it” and “didn’t know how to help it,” the criminal complaint states. Osei added that she remained on the toilet and never moved to check and see if the newborn was moving or breathing. The infant was believed to have been in the water for about 10 to 15 minutes, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, and was transported to the hospital after being resuscitated. dog to death, but police managed to rescue an underweight puppy

Nichols allegedly called Hempstead's animal shelter in December 2018 to tell them Shek had died. (CBS13) — Chaos in Vacaville Monday night led to a house fire and
then an officer-involved shooting. More than 40 officers converged
on the area after two people were
stabbed, their home set on fire, and a manhunt ensued
for the man who did it. Tuesday morning the home was still smoking
after a huge house fire that investigators say was arson. Neighbors
say they initially heard an argument Monday night. “I heard a lady
screaming,” said the man who lived next door. They looked outside to
see their 43-year-old neighbor and her 16-year-old daughter bleeding
in the street. They had both been stabbed and were screaming for
help. “They were screaming ‘help my little girl!'” the neighbor
said. Outside, police were already searching for the suspect, father and boyfriend, Nathaniel Holland. Our suspect was not complying and the K-9 was used to assist in apprehending him. That’s when the K-9 was stabbed,” That’s when a Fairfield police officer opened fire on Holland, killing him. |

accused of exposing himself to a teacher. Police said Andre
Washington, 18, was being helped with his college application
on the 3rd of December when the incident exposure took place. The
student and teacher were at the school’s college resource center,
along with two other students, when she looked down and noticed
his exposed genitals, according to the arrest report.The battery charge stems from an incident which took place on the following day, according to police. The teacher said Washinton grabbed her leg in a school hallway, while the teacher was speaking to another teacher. |

Sexual assault suspect out on bond arrested for murder SPRINGFIELD,
SC (WOLO) – A Springfield man arrested earlier this month for
criminal sexual conduct has been arrested once again, this time for
murder. Michael Corbitt, 25, now faces a murder charge with a
scheduled first court appearance on Tuesday (1/15). He was arrested
following a weekend shooting incident on Samaria Road just outside
the city limits of Springfield. Authorities found a man dead inside
his car with gunshot wounds.According to an OCSO arrest warrant, shell casings at the scene matched casings found at Corbitt’s home. Investigators also found out Corbitt had been seen with the victim moments before witnesses heard gunfire. Corbitt was charged on January 3, with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, first-degree assault and battery, and carjacking in connection with a September 23, 2018 assault. serious charges after being accused of raping a mental health
patient. Police said it happened late on December 31st at
Westchester General Hospital.Fernando Felix Ramos-Garcia, 40, is accused of entering the patient’s room and forcing her to perform oral sex on him, police said. Ramos-Garcia walked into the hallway to check if anyone was around and then he reentered the room where he proceeded to have intercourse with the patient while covering her mouth. Ramos-Garcia was arrested Tuesday. He confessed to engaging in sex with the victim, but added the “acts were not forced, but were consensual.” He was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. |

a 62-year-old wheelchair-bound woman more than 100 times,
leaving her partially disemboweled.Kehinde Afolayan, 31, was charged Tuesday with one count of first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the Friday attack. If convicted of the felony charge, he faces up to life in prison. The charging document says a witness peered through a window of the apartment on Clarke Avenue after being alerted by his sister to a commotion inside and saw Afolayan stab Deborah Lynch as she sat in her wheelchair. Responding officers found Lynch sitting motionless in her wheelchair, breathing but unresponsive. A Flight for Life helicopter was called but Lynch passed away before being loaded onto the aircraft, the complaint said. Officers arrested Afolayan at the apartment after finding him holding a blood-covered undershirt. Investigators said they found three bloody knives in and near the building, one of which was missing the blade. Afolayan's Federal Republic of Nigeria identification card was found in the living room, a search warrant said. Police said they were unable to interview Afolayan because he was not communicative, not even providing his name. He was, however, uttering statements such as, "Jesus forgives me." Lynch's son, who also lived in the apartment, told officers that Afolayan had been living with them since October. The son was not home during the attack, the complaint said. (CBSLA) – Investigators have released security video of a suspect
who last month assaulted and seriously injured a bus driver for
purportedly asking for the correct fare on a public bus near the San
Bernardino County community of Victorville.The attack occurred on Dec. 21 in the town of Phelan aboard a Victor Valley Transit Authority bus, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. The driver suffered serious head and facial injuries, the sheriff’s department said. During the attack, the suspect claimed to be homeless. He is described as black, 25 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall, 250 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Temple police late Jan. 5 issued a “missing persons” report on the department’s Facebook page and asked anyone with information about their whereabouts to call them. Swearingin may have health issues. A woman told officers she had been sitting inside the car with Taylor when he was shot and killed. Taylor and the witness met Tay in the apartment complex, and as Taylor was showing the man the shoes the other man pulled out a gun. He told Taylor to hand him the gun that was stashed in the car, but before he could even reach for it, Tay started shooting, the woman said. teen from Ocala, then passed her around to other men for sex in
exchange for money.Steven Hodge, 31, was charged with lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor, and was being held at the Lake County Jail on Tuesday on a $50,000 bond. The incident occurred back in February, but detectives have been piecing together a case against Hodge, including DNA evidence obtained from the girl during a rape examination after she was released by Hodge, police say. The 14-year-old girl, who was not identified because of her age and the nature of the crime, told Eustis authorities she had been raped by several men, including Hodge, who took money from the other men either before or after each instance. The girl had run away from the Arnette House, a youth shelter in Ocala, and made it to Eustis, where she met a woman and two men, including Hodge, in front of a Family Dollar. |

been arrested on accusations of inappropriate
sexual contact with a child under his supervision.
Portsmouth police confirmed that Tremaine Speller was arrested on Friday and charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship. The child's mother said the assault happened at Woodrow Wilson High School, where school officials confirmed Speller was assigned by the Army as a recruiter. Upon arriving there, the victim said Marks assaulted her and pulled her inside. He then forced her to have intercourse, police said. |

— The husband of a woman accused of killing her 7-year-old son
appeared in court in Denver Friday. Leland Kyle Pankey, 39,
is charged with second-degree assault in a November 2017 incident.Pankey is the husband of 43-year-old Elisha Pankey, who was arrested in connection to her child’s death on Wednesday. Her son, 7-year-old Caden McWilliams, was found dead in a storage unit near Interstate 25 and Evans Avenue in southeast Denver just before Christmas. The Denver Police Department estimated he died in late May 2018. According to an arrest affidavit, Leland Pankey was taken into custody Dec. 21, 2018 on a warrant that was issued Nov. 28, 2017. their schools.The lawsuit claims former Brownsville Middle School physical education teacher Wendell Nibbs sexually harassed, assaulted and raped the victim, referred to as “Jane Doe,” staring in her 6th grade school year and continuing through the end of her 8th grade on school premises. “We see Nibbs as a predator who used Brownsville Middle School as his hunting ground,” said attorney Aaron Karger. The suit also claims Nibbs, a married father of two, sent the victim sexually explicit photographs of himself. |
