cut another driver off. That, Barboza said, is was what spurred the
driver and her sister to follow the 26-year-old to a parking lot and
beat her with baseball bats. The attack — caught on camera by
Barboza and a bystander — left her with a
broken nose, seven staples in the back of her head and seven
stitches in the front. “My nose is the worst of it,”
she said Sunday, days after the Thursday afternoon beating. “I can’t
even breathe out of it.” When she cut the driver off on the road,
Barboza said the woman started yelling at her, along with another
driver who said “you cut off my sister. That’s disrespectful.”
During the fight, the woman in the red sweatshirt can be heard
shouting “don’t talk about black people,” but Barboza denied she
said anything racist to the woman and pointed to the first video,
which she said contains her entire conversation with the women

officer Deputy Carl Koontz are recovering after they were
attacked in the Howard County Courthouse.
Alice Koontz, 27, was at the courthouse today with
her mother Jackie Koontz, 54, for a
paternity hearing when the sheriff's office says they were
approached by Bryson Small, 36. Witnesses say he was walking
toward Alice and Jackie when he attacked them. He knocked both of
them to the floor, and hit them several times, according to the
sheriff's office. Both Alice and Jackie suffered facial and head
injuries, and Alice was knocked unconscious. Jackie was treated and
released. At last check, Alice is still in an Indianapolis

ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) - A Washington man has been sentenced to 340
years in prison for charges that included torturing and threatening
to kill a woman working as a prostitute. The Kitsap Sun reports
30-year-old Jeremy Fenney was sentenced Monday after a jury
convicted him last month of 44 separate charges.A jury convicted Fenney of human trafficking, rape, assault and kidnapping. Jurors did not convict Fenney of one count of attempted murder. Fenney was also convicted of raping a different woman who lived with him. Certain aggravators and special enhancements for committing the crimes with a firearm accounted for the lengthy sentence. Fenney apologized in court to his family and the woman he was convicted of torturing. |

New York man has been charged with rape of a child in Putnam County
following a two-year investigation.Kerry Jarrod Washington, 27, of New York, is named as the suspect from the release from the Cookeville Police Department. The initial report of the incident occurred April 26, 2016, according to CPD's release. The age of the child is not revealed in the statement, but he or she would have to be under 13-years-old, according to Tennessee Code Annotated 39-13-522. |

Andrews was known tangentially to the family, the plaintiff’s attorneys said, and because her parents were aware of his past they would have never allowed him to pick up their daughter. |

similarities of the crimes,” adding that the five suspects,

government facilities in the Washington, D.C., area has been charged
in the case. Thanh Cong Phan, 43, was arrested Monday

Seattle, charged with one count of shipment of explosive materials.

Wayne Dykes, 22, of Henrico, was arrested and charged
with involuntary manslaughter in the January 2018 shooting death of
Jessica Brianne Rogers.Rogers, 21, was shot January 13, a Saturday night, inside a townhouse. "Officers located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound," a Henrico Police spokesperson said at the time. Ohio -- Ohio Gov. John Kasich granted clemency for a Toledo-area
killer who was two weeks away from execution. Kasich's
decision Monday to spare William Montgomery's (worthless)
life comes 10 days after the Ohio Parole Board voted
6-4 to recommend mercy for him. The board's report showed the
majority had too many questions over inconsistent witness statements
that weren't disclosed to Montgomery when he was on trial and
whether the jury made its decision on sound grounds. Montgomery, 52,
was scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on April 11. He has
been in prison since 1986 and was sentenced to death for the murder
of Deborah Ogle during a robbery. He was
also convicted of murdering Cynthia Tincher,
Ogle's roommate. Lucas County Prosecutor Julia Bates had asked the
parole board to deny Montgomery's request for clemency.

grabbed her by her hair and forced her to a dark area near the

abrasion to her left eye. The victim told officers that
she vomited on the grass before a passerby chased White away.

- A Rockford man has been charged with exposing himself to
parishioners at a church. On February 28th and again on March 17th,
Waylan Anderson, 41, exposed himself to parishioners and
staff at St. Mary's Church, 517 Elm Street. Two of the victims were
minors. Detectives from the Sensitive Crimes Unit identified
Anderson as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. On
Friday, March 23rd, shortly after 1:30 p.m. officers located

N.C. -- A North Carolina man accused of killing his wife and
daughter and posting pictures of their bodies to Facebook has been
found guilty of first-degree murder. A Wake County jury reached its
verdict Monday in the trial of Elhadji Seydou Diop.
He was sentenced to life in prison without parole in the death of
his wife, and an additional 20 to 25 years for his daughter's death.
Diop was arrested after his niece in Senegal saw Facebook posts that
included pictures of the two bodies on the floor next to a

Tuesday On Tuesday at 6 p.m., a day after his 38th birthday, Rosendo Rodriguez III is set for execution for the 2005 slaying of that woman, Summer Baldwin. She was 10 weeks pregnant. Court records show Rodriguez was linked to at least five other sexual assaults and confessed to the slaying of a 16-year-old Lubbock girl who had been missing for more than a year. Joanna Rogers' mummified remains were found, like Baldwin's, inside a suitcase at the city garbage dump. Rodriguez became known as Lubbock's "suitcase killer." Lubbock County District Attorney Matt Powell, who prosecuted Rodriguez, described him Monday as "very cold-blooded and very calculated." "What kind of person does that, just throws them out like the morning trash?" Powell said. Testimony at his 2008 trial showed she had about 50 blunt force wounds and may have been alive when she was folded into the suitcase and tossed into a trash bin. after leaving Taft High School for the day. She was later found
alive, but authorities were tight lipped about the details
surrounding her disappearance. An underground organization that

of where she was being held, according to law enforcement officials.
Hishmawi moved his family from Iraq to San Antonio more than two

woman who had recently given him a job. Joe Nathan Duncan,
58, is charged with capital murder in the death of Mabel
Fowler, 91.Fowler's body was found at her home Saturday, located off Hodgesville Road. Police say they believe she was killed that morning, though her body was discovered around 8 p.m. by her caretaker who had been trying to reach her. During a press conference Monday, Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish confirmed Fowler had hired Duncan to help with yard work about three weeks before her death. “She was never married or had any kids,"Chief Parrish said. "What she did have was a giving heart.” The chief said surveillance video at a nearby business captured Fowler checking her mail Saturday morning, then showed Duncan entering her home not long after. Marie Knighten of Asheville, NC, has been named as
the woman found dead in a murder and attempted suicide early
Saturday morning.The Asheville Police Department responded to Walton Street at 2:43 a.m. in response to reports of a suicide attempt. When officers arrived on scene, Alvin William Wilson, 54, was attempting to harm himself. He informed officers that he had already “harmed his girlfriend.” 62-year-old Knighten was later found deceased a few blocks away inside a Bartlett Street residence. Wilson was charged with first degree murder and is currently being treated at Mission Hospital for injuries sustained while attempting to injure himself, police said. The criminal complaint states Christina Schuster’s brother told police he stayed with his sister sometimes at her apartment, and her “on again, off again” boyfriend, Jessie Lee (also known as Ellery Lee). In the complaint, Schuster’s brother stated to police Christina recently told him she planned to break up with Lee, and that she did not think it would go well. Officers then found a security guard, Crafton Barnes, with blood over his face. Barnes said Cortlandt Northcross broke into the store and when confronted, started to fight. "It sounds like Silence of the Lambs or something," Barnes, who has 14 stitches on the outside of his face and inside of his mouth, said. "We started wrestling and that's when he lunged at me and just bit this huge chunk out of my cheek." Barnes said he came across Northcross when he knocked on the building asking for a place to stay. Barnes said he couldn't stay but gave him some food. However, Northcross kept coming back and then started sending frightening messages. "Left me a voicemail threatening to kill everybody in the house, and then he started texting me from the same number saying he's going to 'carve me up and call the police, It's OK I'll shoot them too,'" Barnes said. On Wednesday, Northcross broke a window and climbed into the recording studio. Barnes hit the alarm, and that's when Northcross attacked him. Barnes managed to get outside. man who served as a rabbi and teacher was arrested and charged
in a 1999 sexual assault of a boy in Woodcliff Lake, according
to the Bergen County prosecutor's Office. Rabbi Menachem M.
Weiss, 46, of Los Angeles, was accused of sexually
assaulting a boy from January to June 1999 in Woodcliff Lake,
the prosecutor's office stated. Woodcliff Lake police received
information of the sexual assault in December 2016, and Weiss
was indicted on Tuesday. The rabbi was taken into custody by
Port Authority police Thursday evening at Newark Airport and
taken to Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing
scheduled for Monday, according to the prosecutor's office. He
arrived on a flight from Los Angeles and there was a warrant out
for his arrest, according to Port Authority spokesman Joseph
Pentangelo.

51-year-old Torontonian was arrested on March 13, after police
were called in to investigate a claim that a child was assaulted
in the Lawrence Avenue and Bathurst Street area of the city.
