Suspect Sexually Assaulted Two Columbia Elderly Women, Sheriff
Says Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies say the assault of an 85-year-old woman wasn't the first sexual offense for a 36-year-old suspect. Marquille Rondale Livingston was arrested after reportedly breaking into the home of an 85-year-old woman's home on Valentine's Day, then brutally beating and sexually assaulting her. He was initially charged with first degree burglary, criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and petit larceny. In a press conference Thursday, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott stated the suspect is facing additional charges for another sexual assault incident that occurred in December 2016 in northeast Columbia. Livingston reportedly broke into the home of a 70-year-old woman, tased her repeatedly, then sexually assaulted her. Forensic evidence, and a "trophy" kept by the suspect led law enforcement to the December 2016 victim, who was able to pick Livingston out of a lineup. "He thought he was smart, he had been through the system, he thought he could conceal evidence, that he could do a lot of things to keep himself from getting caught, but he wasn't smart... He would not have stopped, and that's what the scary part is," Lott said. Law enforcement doesn't believe the suspect knew either victim, calling the incidents "stranger sexual assault." Additional charges include criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, kidnapping and grand larceny. Lott says the 2016 sexual assault was reported, and he encourages all victims to come forward so they can catch all the "monsters." |

neighbor, police say PITTSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman found dead in her Pittsboro apartment last year was murdered by a neighbor, according to police. Donna Todd’s body was already decomposing by the time police, called in by a concerned caretaker, found her on April 11, 2017, authorities said. (white) Woman, 2 (black) teens charged in armed robbery of
her elderly Royal Oak grandparents A woman was arraigned with two teens Thursday on charges they entered her grandparents’ Royal Oak home and robbed them with a pneumatic gun. “This was a terrifying incident that was made more tragic by the fact that a family member was involved,” said Royal Oak Police Lt. Keith Spencer. Police said the grandmother, 76, and grandfather, 85, were threatened with a bb handgun that looked like a real gun. “The suspects indicated they went to the house because they believed there was money there,” Spencer said. Police said the two Detroit teens -- Joshua S. Martin, 19, and Jamall M. Mobley, 17 -- were the ones who entered the house in 2300 block of Elmhurst Avenue. The two teens took cash from a purse and a wallet as well as electronic devices, including an iPad and cellphones, police added. One of the suspects pushed the grandfather to the floor during the robbery. He later refused treatment for a minor injury. Though the granddaughter, Robin B. Dumoulin, 20 of Rochester Hills, is not believed to have entered the house in the robbery early Tuesday, police said she was driving her vehicle as the getaway car when all three of the suspects were stopped by police in Pleasant Ridge. “There were no signs of forced entry at the house,” Spencer said. “There were indications (the granddaughter) may have had a key to the house and she was involved in the planning of” the crime. - (Black-on-white) |

Drive homicide (of White man) The gunman accused of shooting a Clarksville man to death during a home invasion robbery in 2013 was convicted of first-degree murder and a slew of other charges Tuesday after a week-long trial. Curtis Shelton Jr., 27, of Clarksville, was on trial in Montgomery County, charged with fatally shooting Miles Hendrick on July 21, 2013, at a Ranch Hill Drive home. Assistant District Attorney Robert Nash said Shelton and two friends went out together that night and decided to "hit a lick" — or score an easy theft — after seeing a group of strangers partying outside the home. "Mr. Shelton and his buddies targeted that home," Nash said, adding they did not know any of the people there. Nash said they went back to the home later that night and broke in through a garage, tied up seven people with duct tape and began beating them with a crow bar while demanding money, wallets, game systems or anything else they could steal. He said Shelton also had a gun. Two other Negroes, Kentavius Cheeks, 23, and Joseph Graham, 30, were also charged. Cheeks pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the case and was sentenced to 25 years in exchange for testifying against Shelton and Graham. - (Black-on-white) |

Johnson is listed on the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry as being "violent against children." Police said Rashaud D. Watson was on the run with Chrissy Huntley, who is Johnson's biological daughter. Police had said she was not a suspect but they were worried for her safety. Cheryl Huntley heard Wednesday morning about the shooting and raced to the home to try to find out where her daughter might be. She said she adopted Chrissy Huntley and her siblings in 2013 and was worried that her daughter might be in danger. Shortly after Chrissy saw a Leaf-Chronicle video of Huntley pleading for her daughter's return, Chrissy called her and asked her to pick her up on State Line Road. Huntley drove her to a Clarksville police station. She has not been charged. Cheryl Huntley is raising Chrissy's 1 year-old and 3-year-old children. Cheryl Huntley said Chrissy's babies' father is in jail and she recently started spending time with Watson. Normally, WPXI does not show pictures or otherwise identify victims of sexual assault, but this victim's mother wanted her name and pictures used to help put a face on the fight to protect all children. Hannah, 16, has a rare genetic disease, called cri du chat, which limits her development and her ability to speak. "She enjoys conversation, even though a lot of her conversation we don't understand. It's kind of like Hannah language," said Patty Fowler, Hannah's mother. Hannah's condition leaves her unable to share when something is wrong, which is exactly what happened in December 2017. That's when Pittsburgh police arrested Hannah's school bus driver, Lavalle Tucker. According to the criminal complaint against Tucker, a witness reported seeing him sexually assault Hannah near the Children's Institute in Squirrel Hill, where she attends school. (black) suspect indicted for 2010 Virginia Beach murder (of a
White woman) VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A Virginia Beach Grand Jury just indicted a second suspect for a 2010 murder. Tuesday, 25-year-old Tramonte Hines was indicted for charges of first degree murder and robbery. “It’s a relief,” said Matt Murphy. “This is finally coming to a point where justice is going to be held.” It’s been more than seven years since tragedy struck the Murphy family. It was December 19, 2010 when 41-year-old Jeannie Murphy walked in on an alleged robbery at the Jr. Market on South Lynnhaven Road. She tried to run away, but was shot and killed. She was simply there to buy some beer. Murphy was shot in the back and shoulder. Detectives followed every lead and in 2015 silently indicated Alex Jenkins on murder. Prosecutors now say Jenkins’ co-conspirator was Tramonte Hines. Jenkins and Hines are no strangers to the law. Hines is currently serving an 83-year sentence in prison for a robbery and sexual assault the same month Murphy was killed. - (Black-on-white) |
